To give an example to you of one issue; I had the beginnings of scoliosis in my back and was going to be fitted for a back brace when i was around 15 years old...Dr. Ansel completely REVERSED it and I have had no issues with scoliosis since. I went to see Dr. Updegrove for neck issues that were giving me headaches and poor concentration. With just one treatment, I noticed a huge shift. Dr. Ansel was highly recommended to me and I completely understand why. I have suffered with chronic headaches and shoulder/neck pain for years. I have seen many practitioners from massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and acupuncturists who all gave me relief but only for a day or two. After only 3 sessions with Dr. Ansel I noticed a big difference in how I was feeling and my headaches have decreased. Dr.Updegrove is amazing! His Nucca treatment on my neck is something next to a miracle.I cannot explain how & why it works but giving me my life back with no neck pain is enough proof for me! What I appreciate the most with his unique Nucca treatment is that it is non invasive,non touching of injured area & no cracking adjustment needed. All I hear when I am lying down is the cracking of his fingers and it’s done !.My neck has never felt better!! I now go for monthly maintenance adjustments. Afterall,we take care of out vehicles with regular checkups to keep it running in tip-top shape,so it is a no brainer to have maintenance checkups with Dr. Updergrove to help keep us pain free. Before I retired to the island,I had had a severe neck injury in a motor vehicle accident.I had not broken my neck luckily yet I was unable to hold my head up for any length of time..The weight of my head was too heavy for the damaged neck area.With much therapy ,pain medication as well as going to the dreaded chiropractor to manipulate the neck in order to alleviate the pain,I did what I was told but relief was always only temporary.I was unable to go back to work as had hoped. I was a wreck? I chose to retire. I moved to Vancouver Island leaving the cold Calgarian winters . With that being said,I continued to travel back to my chiropractor for appointments when I could no longer stand the pain ! He he was the only one I trusted with my neck. Then a girlfriend of mine referred me to Dr.Updegrove and told me about what he does and does not do as a chiropractor!.I was somewhat sceptical though curious at the same time.So being determined to get my life back and hopefully minimize the pain,I made an appointment . Everything else is history. From the first moment I stepped into Dr Ansel’s office ( as he is known by his regulars patients) I knew there was something special about him.His aura, his confidence & belief in what he does as a chiropractor along with his expertise, let me know I had found the answers to my prayers. Dr. Ansel is not a none cruncher! His technique is very gentle. I had a bad Sciatica issue and he worked with me and after a few visits I was more comfortable. The treatments over the months was successful.

I could hardly walk when I walked through Dr.Ansel’s door. I have a herniated disk plus a severely bulged disk in my lower back that were hitting nerves causing severe pain and numbness in my hip and left leg into my foot. I was hunched over and couldn’t put much weight on that leg. After an MRI the doctor referred me to a surgeon. Shortly after this, I was in my doctors office one afternoon and a very nice lady noticed that I was in rough shape. She told me about how Dr.Ansel had helped her when she had herniated a disk in her back. I figured what the hell , give it a shot. After a few sessions with Dr. Ansel, I noticed I started standing up straighter and the pain was getting progressively less. Dr. Updegrove is the finest, and one of the most intelligent doctors and chiropractors I have encountered. He really takes the time to get to know you and the problems you may have. He is very thorough in explaining the process, philosophies, and meanings as to why he is performing his procedures. Nucca chiropractics is starting to become a lot more popular and has far greater benefits than you can imagine. His treatments have eliminated any pain or discomfort I may have had. From a psychological standpoint, proceeding the treatments I have been given, I feel a lot more clear in my thinking, whereas before I felt as though I was in a "fog". I also felt my senses begin to become more clear, especially right after treatments. Although the alignment is the physical part of the process, there are many benefits mentally, psychologically, chemically, and emotionally to bring the mind, body, and soul into equilibrium.

Dr Updegrove is not your stereotypical Chiropractor (Neck cracking). I'm a skeptic and change is hard but after many conversations I finally went to see him for help for Crohn's Disease. He is gentle in his approach and takes more of a holistic- whole body look at your health, habits and lifestyle. I thought that this was "as good as I would get" with my health, until I started working with Dr. A. He has taught me to be open to change and the importance by improving your connection to your central nervous system to allow other organs to begin to heal from the inside out. Because of his whole body approach he recommended me to other respected practitioners and this approach has changed my world. I have more energy, I'm calmer and I feel fantastic! Dr. Ansel and his team were amazing. Right from the booking to coming into the office. His receptionist is fantastic and was so nice to chat with. The treatment was exceptional. I have received mixed results with a previous chiropractor and the actual result post treatment has made me a believer in the Nucca technique. Dr. Ansel explains everything and the rational behind why he is doing what he is doing as he goes. He shows using muscle testing where things are going wrong and after the adjustment redoes the testing to see if there are any results. We met Dr. Ansel thru a friend and we are so grateful. My husband wasn't feeling well his neck and back were out and he wasn't able to sleep . He ended up on sleeping pills, but still wasn't feeling well. Once he saw Dr. Ansel he worked out a plan which he followed and now he only sees him once a month. The best part is he does not need any medication! For me, I was living with pain in my left hip, but after seeing Dr. Ansel that hip does not bother me anymore I only saw Dr. Ansel at my husband's insistence.
