Edit: It appears that this institution does not respect privacy as my comments in the original post were questioned and discussed with my Dad, who is regular patient at the clinic. The least they could have done was reach out to me instead of speaking about it with another patient.
Original post below was posted 2 weeks ago from today, during my initial visit:
Went in for a first time visit and was very displeased. My meet and greet was scheduled for 3.30 but when I walked in there were 3 patients waiting and including one behind the counter where you would expect a receptionist to be sitting. That lady completely ignored me as if I never existed, a signage could have helped to understand that there was no receptionist. 10 min later the doc comes out of a room to take in the remaining patients and by that time I knew that my appointment was going to be delayed so I asked to ensure that I get a correct time during the next appointment since I was made to believe that it’s a reserved appointment. Considering the pandemic, I did not want stand in a corner, in a small waiting room with other people regardless of the fact of wearing a face mask and gloves.
The doc’s response was that he can’t do anything about the time that it takes and that he doesn’t want to waste my time, so I left. Never have I been asked to leave by a doctor who stands to help patients when in need, I don’t believe I was rude by asking for an appropriate allotted time considering COVID-19 but the response was very distasteful. Hope this does not happen to anyone else.
