I had been dealing with back & neck discomfort (off & on) for at least 5 years with the last year experiencing limited mobility with my neck due to it being so tight. After seeing how Dr. Rai had helped my brother-in-law I thought I would give chiropractic care a try. Being somewhat skeptical at the beginning and being a bit nervous about neck adjustments, both Dr. Rai & Dr. Edwards took their time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. I have been seeing Dr. Rai for several years now and have nothing but good things to report. The first thing that stands out about his chiropractic care is the focus on diagnosis. Dr. Rai does not simply start adjusting you based on your symptoms (unless the need is urgent). The first step is taking x-rays and back scans (muscular) in order to get a better look at the condition of your spine, and customize the treatment to suit the problems that are there. Dr. Rai regularly reviews (and shows you!) your back x-ray films, and his own notes from previous visits, and starts each visit with questions about your health and physical / visual observations of your body movement. I really appreciate this focus on diagnosis because I have seen other chiropractors that just seem to adjust for the sake of adjustment, without nearly the same level of diagnosis (or at least, the same caliber of diagnosis / equipment / data). The quality of adjustments is always high, and Dr. Rai periodically reviews your state of health (takes new x-rays and back scans) to demonstrate how your spinal health is changing (for the better!), and adjusts his treatment accordingly. There are distinct results, both short and long-term. These include reduced instances of head-ache, illness, and muscle pain, as improved spinal health improves your whole immune system and (in my experience) quality of life. In addition to quality care, Dr. Rai treats me with respect, and puts up with all sorts of questions, be they substantial or mundane. His work and behavior both within and outside of his clinic shows that he is not only qualified, but compassionate. I could go on, but I've said more than enough for this review. Dr. Rai is the best chiropractor I've seen (out of perhaps 8 in my life), and holds my highest esteem. Duly recommended.

Deceptions

Rai Chiropractic is a great clinic and the staff treat you nicely, even kids like me. Also the decor is calming. Dr. Rai is very kind and explains things clearly. The adjustments have helped improve my sleep, my torticollis (which is your head tilted slightly to one side) and my anxiety. I would recommend them to anyone.

My son is 6 & has ADHD, ODD & anxiety. He wasn't able to go to school for a full day as he would have meltdowns, become very aggressive, try & run out of the school or have to be taken out of the classroom in the CPI hold by several staff members. He hated school & would become anxious at the thought of it. He was taught in the resource room under constant supervision of an SEA. He was also still wearing pull-ups to bed as he was still wetting the bed every night. Since going to Rai Chiropractic he's stopped wetting the bed, he's been in a much better mood overall & he's been going to school for a full day with no issues at all!! I can't say enough positive things about the team at Rai Chiropractic! I had been suffering from debilitating migraines multiple times a week for over a year. I had tried everything including medication, physio and massage with zero improvements. Dr. Rai gave me a full assessment on my first visit and for the first time it felt like someone was actually listening to the problem and not just trying to bandaid fix it. I’ve struggled with a shoulder injury for past 2-3 years. I was unable to lift my arm and had told myself that this was just the way it was going to be for the rest of my life. I had tried all sorts of things and nothing helped. After my 2nd week of adjustments, I was able to lift my arm half way and from that point on I’ve been on my journey to recover fully. I have been to a few different chiropractors for chronic back and hip problems. I had stopped going as I felt like it wasn't doing any good. I met Dr. Rai when he came and did a talk at one of our baby groups. I ended up taking my 3 month old son to see him for some stomach issues he was having. My son is so comfortable in Dr. Rai's hands that he just smiles and laughs through his entire appointment. When we are done you can tell how relaxed and happy he is. It's hard for me to put into words the how much Dr. Rai and his team has helped my family. For myself , with regular check-ups I live pain free. For my daughter who suffers from ADHD she has been able to keep medication free with regular check ups. The treatments help keep her nervous system calm so she can be still enough to sleep and learn. The most important thing I received is education. Learning about the nervous sytem and how it controls every pathway and function in our body. Learning how symptoms can arrise when these pathways are interrupted. Learning that addressing root problems can possibly remove the need to rely on medications which (in some cases, not all of course) may be nothing more then a bandage. And how these blockages can be removed with proper chiropractic Care. The clinic encourages a full spectrum of health care including emotional self care, healthy eating, stretching etc... There are books and movies for client use. Free workshops on various topics which again, will educate you on becoming the healthiest version of yourself. It's like a second home to my daughter so she is comfortable to play or visit other team members while I get my adjustment. All of these extras are a testimate to the fact that aside from being a business the clinic's focus is to help families gain tools so they can thrive. I would give this clinic 10 stars if I could. I cannot thank Dr. Rai enough for the new life he's given my family and I! I recently moved to this area and was looking for a Chiropractor for my colicky baby girl who just turned 2 months. My daughter would cry all day and night and I was barely getting any sleep. I called his office in desperation and his amazing team got me in the next morning! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, we received amazing service and very knowledgeable information. Dr. Rai is so kind and nice, he even adjusted my daughter before we left due to her severity (and probably my sanity lol). His team is so welcoming. She has now had a handful of treatments and WE HAVE A NEW BABY GIRL. She sleeps, she plays, she laughs, and most importantly she's not in pain. I cannot express how much this has changed our lives. Dr. Rai is a very friendly however he pressures you into signing a payment plan which requires you to attend his clinic routinely (for me it was 3 times a week) and if you don't sign it his level of services drops. I would leave the clinic feeling better and within 48 hours be in pain again. I never realized how poor his services were until I went to another clinic. I now see my new chiropractor once every couple of months. A physician should respect what you can and cannot afford and meet you where you are... as opposed to Dr. Rai who assists you accordingly to how much money you invest in him. On one occasion after telling him I could not afford to come in that often he replied "if you actually cared about your health you would find a way to afford it." If a chiropractor uses different techniques and exercises to align and educate you, you won't need to see them 3 times a week. The effects should be longer lasting. I can now have freedom from relying on a medical professional because the quality of my chiropractor's work is that much higher that it's long term.

For over 15 years I went to the same chiropractor in Vancouver but my back problems never subsided. My old chiropractor told me it's just how it is so I kept going back for adjustments that made me feel better temporarily. Then, my daughter referred me to Rai Chiropractic and it took her a long time to convince me, I didn't want to try someone new and wanted to stick with my own chiropractor who knows me. Even at the initial consultation I was very hesitant. It wasn't until the second consultation where I felt I made a right choice. At the second appointment, I got to see my x-ray and scan results and was finally given an explanation as to why I was feeling this way. I got to see my own condition with my own eyes. The doctors explained the care plan and their suggestions to get me back on track. I am now halfway through my care and I can honestly say that I've been feeling so much better compared to what my old chiropractor has been doing for the last 15 years. The pain has subsided and my latest scans showed huge improvement. It is a further drive for me to visit Rai Chiropractic but it is worth it. My kids and I have been patients here since 2012. I discovered chiropractic care 17 weeks into my second pregnancy, when my ligaments loosened and my hips shifted drastically, rendering me unable to walk because I could not put pressure down on my foot. A friend recommended chiropractic care, and while I was at first a real skeptic, I had driven by Rai Chiropractic and figured it couldn’t hurt to try it, so I gave them a call. After my first adjustment, I walked out of there normally! There was certainly an intense period at the beginning where I had to see Parm almost daily, then weekly, but my body had many years to make up for living with subluxations. It had to re-learn how to operate in alignment and full function, all while undergoing changes in pregnancy. Since then, adjustments for me have been a lifeline, and many times the difference has been night and day after one adjustment. I had nerve damage in my legs years ago where I was told by a neurologist I would likely never be able to run again. After the first 5 years of chiropractic care, I decided to attempted a run, and I could not believe I ran again; this time with tears down my face. I am happy to say that I can now run 3 km before my legs start to get a bit numb. This is something I thought I would never regain. I am so thankful I had such pain in that pregnancy, because without it I would have never sought out or discovered chiropractic care. While in their care, I have learned so much about my nerve health and come to value the preventive care of my nervous system. The doctors have often given me various exercises and stretches to do at home based on what my body is doing, which has changed over 8 years! Continued care for my family has played a vital role in our overall health, as we rarely get sick, and when we do, our immune systems fight these viruses quickly. Sleep quality in my kids is always positively impacted by their visits, and I have always seen a direct relation. We have seen all practitioners at Rai Chiropractic and every one of them is excellent with children. Each child has had adjustments from an early age, even from infancy; it was always the first appointment I booked after birth! They love to go and I am so thankful they get this preventive care for their bodies, something I never did once in my childhood. Their family and community focus is lovely: yearly barbecues, workshops, donations for those in need in our community, fun draws.. the list goes on. There is an investment you have to make with your time and money, but I see it through the lens that I would rather spend the time and money in preventive measures (adjustments, healthy food, etc) instead of at the doctor’s office and pharmacy. It can be challenging fitting in appointments for a busy family, but I recommend giving it a try. The only downside to their beautiful office is the parking, as it is limited and it can sometimes be very full, leading you to look on the nearby roads which isn’t nice with kids. Typically, they see people in and out quickly enough but I’ve encountered parking challenges many times; just give yourself enough time to find parking. If you are looking for a chiropractor and you’re in the North Langley/Clayton Heights area, this skeptic-turned-believer highly recommends Rai Chiropractic care for you. I acknowledge it may not be for everyone, but like many things, you won’t know unless you try.

where to begin. I will say first and foremost I was very skeptical about going back to a chiropractor due to a previous(bad experience). I have no problem at all admitting I was wrong in my doubt. I've been seeing Dr. Moussa mostly and I would like to thank both him and Dr. Rai for the fantastic job they've done. This isn't your typical experience, they really take their time to explain everything they're doing and offer in depth scans that really pinpoint the problem areas. They really emphasize overall health and wellness and also how chiropractic care promotes healing within the body. Just over a month into my treatment and I'm feeling better than I have in years.
