Slipped outside and pulled a groin muscle and pinched my sciatic nerve, I could barely walk. After 3 visits to Fairway Chiropractic Centre I was well enough to travel north to visit family and see my granddaughter make her confirmation. I have continued my visits to Fairway Chiropractic Centre to completely heal my injury and am now looking to improve my overall health and well being. All the staff including Dr Murdoch are friendly, professional, helpful and good listeners. After having visited multiple doctors’ post my traumatizing accident, my wife still insisted me on going to doctor Steven as one last try. Having injured my vertebra, I thought I was going to not walk straight with a lot of pain for the rest of my life. Much to my surprise, my downtrodden state was a child’s play for Doctor Stevenson! Just a couple of tests and some special treatments and I was literally running in around three months. Dr Stevenson saved me like an angel!

You need adjusting...Dr Murdock is your man! I have never experienced it til the day I fell back years before I gave birth to twins and even then when I was carrying them he treated me! He help to put me on my feet after a severe fall on black ice, and I could hardly get out of bed, and just recently with everything going on in my life it all came back to haunt me and where did I end up...at his office! My daughter is a horseback rider and she had a bad fall from her horse that resulted in a concussion and some back pain. I decided to take her to Dr. Murdoch after hearing from others that maybe a Chiropractor could help, and I was amazed at the difference. She was so obviously feeling better almost immediately, that I brought in my son who is the goalkeeper for his soccer team, and Dr. Murdoch was able to make a huge difference to both of them. With every adjustment I go for, Dr. Murdoch takes the time to explain what he is doing and why. When I first started chiropractic care, I firstly met a caring and compassionate team of Vintee and Joyce who made me feel welcome as if inviting me into their home and not an office. I had been experiencing much pain for some time that was very scary. I could barely walk, straighten up, couldn't even dress myself, and spent much of my day almost hunched over as muscles spasmed continuously and relentlessly. No amount of muscle relaxants, OTC pain meds, or other meds took away the pain. I started a very aggressive course of treatment. With the help of Dr. Murdoch, I slowly began to at least stand and walk pain free for short periods of time. I started to regain independence. I could get in and out of a shower and dress myself over a couple more weeks of treatment. After a few more weeks of treatment I could go for longer walks and restart a couple of yoga classes! I'm finally getting my life back! Without this help I can't imagine where I'd be but I'm sure it wouldn't be pleasant. I was never a fan of the word Chiropractor! I had visited every paramedical service to help alleviate and manage my back pain of L4-L5, S1. With no results I ended up having spinal fusion and continued to suffer with the pain. I've been going to see Steve(Dr. Popcorn i would call him) ever since i was a child (Early as 5/6) at the age of 24, i can say from the bottom of my heart that this is place to go, growing up i was a hyper active kid, always on the go and playing aggressive sports. Many a time hurting myself in the process. Steve could find these "Trigger spots" that i would get and be able to release the pressure i was having. He took his time to examine the curvature of my spine and adjust them and instantly i would feel a sense of release. Opening up the airways, improving circulation and bestowing a feeling of being lighter. after a couple of adjustment i feel like a brand new person. Steve would thoroughly explain whats going on if he noticed anything abnormal, example my hips being displaced and how that can cause an effect up the back. how to correct posture to help reduce these spots i have. Steve doesn't just adjust you and send you on your way, he takes care of you and offers remedial help that you can do at home (stretches, self massages). No doubt about it i will be continuing to go to Steve until his retirement. Thank you Steve and the amazing staff at Fairway chiropractic, i would go as far as to say they have become part of the family and i look forward to my future visits.

I've been coming to see Dr. Steve since 2012 (as has my husband), and he is a wonderful DC. Dr. Steve is helpful and conscientious, and he explains his findings and the reasons behind his specific adjustments in 'easy' terms that anyone can understand. Plus he's kind of funny... but I'd never tell him that. Dr. Steve is not the first DC I've ever seen, but he's by far my favourite. I have been going to see Steve for at least 15 years. I am a very active adult. My first visit to see Steve I was pretty skeptical. I had injured my back doing a Boxfit class. After 3 days of enduring the pain and not moving very well at all, my soon to be wife suggested I go see a Chiropractor. I remember the first time very well. Steve showed me on the ex-ray what my issue was. I thought, ya sure buddy. Well he adjusted me and I went out of there thinking this is too good to be true. I felt so good, pain was totally gone. I even went a did a boxfit class that same night. All it took was the pressure of a dime of my spine being out of adjustment. I have since been to see Steve on a regular basis. I have also come to realize it is not just for back issues but your overall health. With the minor adjustments I have more energy in my legs, no back issues and able to keep up my busy lifestyle. I have been a patient for this facility for nearly 2 years. When I first arrived my back was in a state of chaos and could barely walk at the time due to an accumulation of issues. Up until this point in time I had never been a huge advocate for Chiropractic services. What blew my mind away was that Dr. Murdoch was able to pin point certain health issues that I had never spoken about prior to walking in to his clinic (one of which was having many head colds). Since then my spinal issues have drastically reduced and my total amount of colds has dropped to 2 over the past years (a far cry from almost every other month). I had never been to a chiropractor before I started seeing Dr. Murdoch, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had always been hesitant about trying chiropractic treatment and had heard the opinions of those around me that didn't believe in it, but I decided I needed to find out for myself. I immediately started feeling better and could tell it was making a huge difference already and couldn't believe I had just been trying to use massage therapy as a treatment up until that point. I took quite a bit of time off from my visits due to some work changes, but have recently started going back and now regret all the time I took off as I had been having a nagging pain in my lower back which has already improved significantly in just 2 visits. I think it's crucial that healthcare practicioners really care about what they do and who their clients are, and Dr. Murdoch and his staff exemplify that. I am always greeted with a smile and friendly conversation and I leave knowing that Dr. Murdoch is truly trying to help make me feel better. It also helps that he's VERY good at what he does and there's no surprise that he is so highly reviewed. I picked Dr. Murdoch based on the reviews I had read online, and I have never regretted my decision to become a patient of his. If I ever move out of town, I will probably come back on a regular basis just so I don't have to try and find a chiropractor of Dr. Murdoch's caliber!

A lot of people still don't understand what a chiropractor does, even doctors. A chiropractor re-aligns the spine, the joints and in doing so releases the pressure on the nerves, muscles and ligaments. A lot of the time, the conditions or pain that the person experiences has to do with the pressure applied on the nerves due to subluxation or gas build-up around the joint. But in most that is over looked and the person is then put on medication, or a condition\disease rises and then the person is treated for that disease when really the cause of all of it has to do with pinched nerves, or misalignment of the joint etc. All the chiro does is release pressure, re-align and keep doing that until the body is back to normal. Balanced. I have scoliosis and i will need chiropractic care for the rest of my life, and i wish my doctor would of suggested or advised me in taking chiropractic care earlier in my life. I would of probably have less problems now. Scoliosis is a curvature in the spine and therefore causes the nerves to be compressed, irritated, pressure and pinches. People have to keep in mind that the whole body functions on the signal from brain to nerve to organ to properly function. When that signal isn't getting through to the organ correctly, problems arises, like acid reflux, headaches, vision problems, breathing problems, numbness, etc. Everything is connected, everything needs to work together to for a proper balance and when that balance is reached, the person over all feels GREAT! The services is great, the environment is clean and organized and safe.

Having survived a near-fatal, Head-on Motorcycle Crash I discovered the many nuances of our present, and most dominant, medical system, wherein specialist doctors and neurologists finally told me to learn to live with the pain...and here's the medication you'll use for ever! Neck, head and spinal trauma along with soft tissue damage caused enough hurt that i banged my head against the walls. I needed to find relief and so turned to 'alternative' therapies such as biofeedback, physiotherapy, Chines medicine, massage, and Chiropractic. Upon my very first visit to a chiropractor I was examined and given a program to follow. Within 3 weeks my neck, head and back pain stopped. Moving from Vancouver to the K-W area i found Dr. Steve Murdoch who gave me the same relief. I couldn't be 'cured' but my issues could be managed if I maintained a proper treatment program. 15 years later, after having been originally told that i would never work full-time again, i've worked full-time and started a photography business which was almost another full-time job (after hours). 15 years later i'm still energized and humming along, as long as i follow a continuous, customized, therapy program. I have deviated, been slack, too relaxed, thought i knew better, believed that finally I was cured, and so stopped going to see Steve. WRONG. Big mistake on my part. I cannot, as i said earlier be cured, but i have to maintain a proper program regime so that i can stay healthy, and able, and i do believe live a life with much less pain than I would without having proper care. Steve's knowledge, courtesy, humour, and concern have so enabled me even letting me hike, run, dance and work out without any problems whatsoever, as long as i maintained my program. It's now almost 20 years later and at the this age i'm still working my full-time job, and with more energy than the younger people in my department. Without Steve Murdoch's help I would have stayed a mess, and i'm sure been near-bed ridden. In not listening to his advice, as i said earlier, i thought that i knew better and i blew it all, hurting like crazy, needing more medications, and unable to participate in activities. Getting back to 'normal' with Steve's help has enabled me now, to still work past the regular retirement, and still smile and dance. People: look after your Body and Mind. Dr. Murdoch's clinic has excellent resources that enlightened me about subluxations and the effects they have on our well being. From what I understand, subluxations are deviations from the natural shape of the spine. The spine is basically the casing of the main wiring of your body. These deviations over time tend to erode the vertebrae and put pressure on the many nerves that it is meant to protect, leading to improper functioning of the various organ systems around, back pain being only one of the many symptoms. Once you get "adjusted" by Dr. Murdoch's magical hands you will think to yourself why you didn't come to him sooner. I was suffering from the pain in my leg, lower back and I also had a strange balloon like feeling in the back of my head. I was burping all the time and i went to see a doctor and got massages. The chiropractor helped me the most, my leg does not hurt and and I do not have the strange feeling in my head anymore. I still burp at times but not as much as I used to. This chiropractor really knows how to do his job and he makes you feel really relaxed, he makes conversation and he is really friendly and fun. My wife's review: I was always dizzy when I would lay down and I couldn't lay on my left side because I was always dizzy, I never knew when the dizziness would happen. I went to the doctor and got blood tests and they couldn't find any problems, but the dizziness kept happening. My husband told me to come with him to the chiropractor, and the dizziness slowly went away. I get dizzy once in a while, but now I can sleep peacefully and I can sleep on my left side. Due to muscle tension on my upper back/shoulders and neck I get a headache and sometimes a blurry vision . Dr. Murdoch has been able to help me with that over the years and I am so thankful. After every visit I feel less pain and I sleep better. He is very kind funny and very friendly. His staff is just simply amazing and always accommodating with my busy schedule. He gives a very in depth explanation as to the problem at hand and then provides a detailed explanation as to how the problem can be resolved. Have been going to see Dr. Murdoch for about a month now. I tweaked something in my lowered back at work back at the start of February and decided it might be best to see a chiropractor (I used to go back when I was in Guelph). A lot of people believe that one or two visits will fix any problem they feel, but it takes time. The first time I tweaked my back a few years back, it took a few months of adjustments and treatments to fix it and again it’s been a month and I feel great again. I will be continuing to my treatments as recommended to ensure I can stay healthy. A great location filled with a very friendly staff with super flexible hours and appointments. I’ve had to change a few times and have done it with ease. Dr. Murdoch has a great sense of humour, very knowledgeable, and overall great personality making it a comfortable atmosphere. I’d highly recommend for anyone looking to fix any back problems (in my case).

NEVER GIVE UP. The last time prior to today that I seen the good Dr. was in 1997. Since that time I had relocated to different areas including Georgia and tried several different chiropractors. My recent relocation to Cambridge prompted me to try another chiropractor in the Cambridge area due to ongoing pain in my left leg, lower back and neck. My first appointment at the Cambridge location consisted of applying a muscle relaxant cream and using an EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulator) machine on my back, I was told I would be too hard to adjust and would need to schedule a massage and then an adjustment, which I did. For my second visit, the massage was so hard I checked at home for bruises and then again instead of adjusting me, a huge vibrating machine was placed on my back.. and again told to book a massage and then an adjustment. I knew at this point I had to return to the BEST CHIROPRATOR I have ever had. Steve, as always, you have amazed me. Even after the first visit I feel SOOO much better. I cannot thank you enough. On the way home in the car, I could actually feel my lower back pain subsiding... to my amazement when I stepped out of the car, I no longer had shooting pains in my left leg. If you promise to never give up chiropractic services, I promise to never again move from the area and lose you as my physician. Just wanted to say you are AMAZING and thank you again SOOO much. :)

I had minor back pain, I was recommended to see Dr. Murdoch by another friend of mine, but she too now has issues, Dr. Murdoch and his staff seemed friendly initially. I had some manipulations to my back, which he said would improve my condition, but my pain got more severe and started going down my leg. I kept going back to get better but got worser and worser and ended up finally seeing a Dr., who told me that I had something called disc herniation. This means by disc was getting displaced and bulging out of my spine and was getting worse and worse, the medical doctor told me the manipulations aggravated the condition making it worse. The doctor told me Dr. Murdoch should've stopped and recognized the condition. I may have gotten better by myself. Now I am off work and waiting to get a surgery done to fix my disc. Everything seems fine when going for Treatment, but you need to assess your own individual situation before visiting a chiropractor. I do not wish for anyone to call me from his office and hence are using a pen name, but people need to know about this Dr. before making an appt.

I went here based on the ratings. I was never treated for more than 5 mins. If I wanted attention paid to another part of my body I had to request specifically each time. I was always asked leading questions. For example in my 2nd or 3rd treatment I was asked "you must be feeling 40% better?". He always seemed confused when I said no difference or on some days I was feeling worse. I suffer from chronic pain and scoliosis what he was suggesting wasn't possible. I was going 3 times a week for approximately a month. My pain was getting worse so I stopped going. Staff was friendly and helpful. Usually pretty punctual. There is lots of parking.

On March 6, 2014, I contacted "Fairway Chiropractic Centre" I held out as long as I could. I had to roll out of bed and have my daughter literally put on my socks and shoes. I am in the process of rehabilitating of my right shoulder, back and arm as a result of being rear ended. Prior to the accident I was only experiencing headaches and had had one migraine in my life. After the accident I was having constant headache's and about one migraine a month, if not more. A physio therapist was helping me and the headache relief would last for about three weeks and the relief was not complete. When I started to get migraine's on a weekly basis I decided to explore another avenue. I was referred to Fairway Chiropractic and was definitely willing to give it a try. I am happy to say that I have not had a migraine since I started, I have had minimal headaches and was able to attribute each one to a specific cause (fighting a cold and needed sleep, fumes from paint). My shoulder tightness is significantly better as well. Dr. Murdoch and his staff are courteous, professional and relatable. They are always inviting and cheerful. I would strongly recommend chiropractic care for the relief of headaches and migraine's and determine the root of the issue as opposed to just numbing the pain with medication. The first thing i would like to say about this review would be Chiropractic Therapy WORKS! Plain and simple. I work in the construction industry building houses and the one thing everyone knows is construction is tough work. You are on your feet all day, moving things, lifting,bending over, and putting heavy things together. I decided to try Chiropractic Therapy after a reoccurring back ache I had that would not go away with simple massages. They use to be enough, but it was not till Chiropractic Therapy that I was able to start sleeping again. I use to have cold sweat filled nights with lower back pains and I just could not sleep. I was waking up at 2 am and not getting to sleep anymore after that, even though I needed to be up for 6 am for work and to start my day. Fairway Chiropractic was my first experience with a chiropractor. I could not be happier that I made the decision to have treatment. When I went in for my first appointment I could not move my head at all without causing myself excruciating pain. After the first visit my pain was significantly relieved and my head movement had improved to about 10%. After a second session my head had about 70% mobility and pain was a distant memory, now after a third visit I am 100%, amazing, beyond expectations! Dr. Steve Murdoch is amazing, great bedside manner, extremely skilled with a magnificent support staff. After persistent tingling in my back for several weeks, I decided to research local Chiropractors. I chose Fairway Chiropractic Centre based on their excellent reviews and they did not disappoint. I explained the tingling sensation in my back and Steve did a physical exam followed by an X-ray (which was covered). Upon reviewing the X-ray Steve created a treatment plan that was flexible and worked with my schedule. I have much more movement since I began treatment and the tingling sensation has decreased. The front line staff are always cheerful and accommodating. The office has very flexible hours and it is never difficult to book an appointment. I’ve been to a chiropractor before, but the experience was completely different. Having only had two sessions, I’ve never felt this amazing. Fairway Chiropractic Centre has a great atmosphere and caring staff. I suffer from a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders, up to the point where I get ear aches and migraines. I also have a difference in my leg and clubs foot. All of this was not overwhelming for Dr. Murdoch. He really knows what he is doing and is respectful and kind.
