I'm happy to say that I've been working with Adam Snook on a weekly basis for the better part of a year now. Among the many massage and athletic therapists with whom I've worked in the last two decades, he is easily one of the best. Most impressively, Adam listens to your specific needs, and tailors his treatments and exercise programs accordingly. His knowledge of human anatomy and musculoskeletal dynamics is expert and impressive. Not only do I feel (invariably) better after an individual session with Adam, my overall health and well-being is improving week by week. Take it from someone who has dealt with pain and tension for more than twenty years: Adam will be of help to you. He is, furthermore, a pleasure to be around, a genuinely kind and personable human being, genuinely interested in the welfare of his clients. Five stars and then some.

My chiropractor suggested regular massage for on-going hip and back issues. Adam has been excellent. I keep a monthly appointment with him which either focuses on a specific issue (common during the outdoor yard-work season) or if it's a good pain-free day, then a deep-tissue relaxation massage. Either way, I'm left stress reduced and pain free. Adam understands that professional massage has mental health benefits in addition to the obvious physical ones. Treat yourself to a massage from Adam. A thoroughly professional RMT. He's set up to direct bill insurance companies and manage appointments on line.

Adam has done an amazing job teaching me about my body mechanics. He has trained me a number of times and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to understanding how the body works. Many light bulbs have gone off in my head as he is explaining body mechanics to me, which ultimately has changed how I train forever. Adam is professional, very articulate when teaching and he genuinely wants to see you feel better. I definitely recommend him as a Personal Trainer whether you are looking to gain functional strength or improve mobility!

His pace and pressure and exact precise looking for the right muscle pain to work on is immensely impressive. With his massage on my back for only three times and helpful suggestions to do at home. I highly recommend Adam as a personal trainer. I found Adam very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He was always professional and respectful during our sessions. My body tends to injure easily, with Adams guidance and concern for safety, this was never an issue. Like any good trainer he adapted the program when necessary, provided do able progressions to improve, and always had a positive encouraging atmosphere. What sets Adam above 95% of other trainers is his great curiosity to “why”. His love of anatomy and how the body works, is constantly reflected, with his desire to figure out why things are happening, and what can be done to improve it. This creates a strong connection to his clients as he works with them to find the right program, and aspects of mind, body and spirit that will enhance their journey. After two years of training with Adam, my weight was at a 30 year low, I was stronger, more mobile, energetic and flexible, allowing me to enjoy daily life and my passion of hiking at a whole new level. Best of all Adam had taught me so much, I felt confident I could keep on track and take ownership of my own journey.

The first thing I'll say about Adam is that he's an exceptional personal trainer that was more knowledgable and effective with the physical rehabilitation he provided me than a large number of physiotherapists that I was treated by over the years after I first injured my back. He is also the best massage therapist I ever saw, which says a lot considering I saw 10 - 15 therapists before being treated by him. My first experience with Adam started as a client of his at Movati when he was my personal trainer. I came to Adam because I had heard from other members of the gym that he was the best trainer for developing specific programs tailored to rehabilitating injuries and ultimitely acheiving your fitness goals. I had struggled with a back injury for 4 - 5 years prior to seeing Adam. I had received some treatments from a wide range of practitioners that seemed to only treat my symptoms temporarily rather than address and work towards fixing the root cause. After I started training with Adam, I started to develop some optimism about my recovery. He was so positive, patient and reassuring that I could get better. After a few months of training with him I actually thought I may be able to rehabilitate myself to get back to playing the sports and activities I loved. I was in a very poor head space prior to this. I had developed depression and anxiety from my chronic back injury that lead to many other compensatory issues in my body from the sedentary lifestyle it forced me to live. Adam wasn't just a personal trainer to me. He helped change my mindset towards what it meant to be truly fit and strong. I learned that you're only as strong as your weakest link and he gave me a vast amount of resources on how to create improved mobility and strength in every area of my body. He taught me to drop the ego and works towards fitness goals that would provide me with longevity. I also started seeing Adam in his practice at BodyWorks for massages. This complemented my training and helped improve my performance in the gym. If you have the opportunity to receive both of these services from him.... don't miss out. If he can figure out what is going on with your muscles with massage he will be able to give you a large number of excerciees to help address and fix the sore/tight tissue. It has been a long journey with a lot of my own hard work since starting to train with Adam but I am grateful for him guiding me down the path that has allowed me to get back into crossfit and skiing. I am more optimistic about the future than I have ever been in my adult life and have developed a mental resilience & clarity that will propell me towards the goals I have in life. A large part of me getting to this point is thanks to Adam. What started as a professional relationship turned into a friendship. Great trainer. Great RMT. Greater dude.

Adam is is not only a great massage therapist but a wealth of knowledge about the human body. I began seeing him regularly when I was pregnant with twins and experiencing back and sciatic pain. From beginning to end he made me feel relaxed and very comfortable. I really appreciated his knowledge and understanding of what is safe during each trimester. He helped relieve my pain immediately with massage and gave me many suggestions on lifestyle changes and stretches that would help me in between sessions. I highly recommend Adam Snook, for personalized training and/or massage services. I was fortunate to be one of Adam's Personal Training clients for 5 years. During this time, Adam designed challenging but achievable training sessions which were matched to my personal fitness goals. He provided motivation to strive for personal bests with the trap bar, my favorite weight training activity, and support to get through my less favorite exercises (i.e. bear crawl). I appreciated his professionalism, patience, open communication style, and listening ability. I've been going to Adam for over a year for both massage therapy and personal training. Adam has been great in both. I injured my upper back a while ago, and there's still tension and pain every now and then. Each time I go see Adam, he's able to reduce the discomfort greatly, and I feel I can finally relax and drop my shoulders again. Adam is also a great personal trainer. I had always semi hated exercise / going to the gym. I remember during the first session, Adam asked me what my relationship with exercise was like, a question that none of my previous trainers had ever asked. Since then, he's helped me overcome the mental barrier to exercising. Now I actually enjoy doing something active, instead of feeling forced to by peer or self pressure. I like it that he focuses on functional gain in the things I like to do instead of building me into the next Schwarzenegger. His advice on both exercise and simple things in building a healthier eating habit has definitely improved my quality of life. I've also been going through some things in life. I must say Adam's grounded demeanor and kind and supportive words have been a substantial positive influence. HIGHLY recommended!!
