Our family would see a chiropractor quite regularly in the lower mainland. We recently moved to Kelowna and needed to find a chiropractor. The level of care we have received from seeing Dr. Travis Robson is next level. To start, the x-rays brought so much clarity to why I was feeling the way I was. It was undeniable seeing the difference between my x-rays and the “optimal” example x-rays. Before I would go to the chiropractor to “get fixed” but not really understand the underlying issues causing the pain. Dr. Travis helped “fix” us as in getting out of pain but then armed us with tools to move us in the direction of correcting the issues that were the source of the pain and stiffness. We stuck with the plan he set out and I have not had such a reduction of pain and stiffness since I was in my 20’s! Even with my substantial back injury from my teenage years. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Travis for your chiropractic needs.

I have been going to Lighthouse Chiro now for about 2 years, and he has made a great difference in my life, as well as the rest of my family. After pulling out my back, and having done it before, I knew I was in for a month and a half physio therapy recovery, and problems for months after. I was a big skeptical of chiropractors, but a few people had told me about Dr. Jenkins, so I decided to give him a try instead of physio, and glad I did! After just a few days I was feeling way better than my previous injury, and was 100% within a month. I also noticed significant changes in my day to day life. I’ve been going to see Dr Ken for a little over a year. When I first started to go I always had a slight neck pain and so much pain in my hands and arms that I couldn’t feel my hands. Dr Ken has fixed all that right up. When I had a bad accident and suffered from a major concussion with some serious memory loss, Dr Ken was there for me. He helped me with it more than any of the other drs I had been seeing. He explained who he was, why I was going to see him every week and sent me all kinds of tips and suggestions about what I can do to help deal with such a serious concussion. After an injury I could not move my neck more than a couple of degrees in each direction. After months of massage, physio and failed attempts at manipulation I had literally given up hope that I would be able to turn my neck again. A friend suggested I go to Harris Road Chiropractic (Dr. Ken's last office). Having endured the pain of previous attempts at manipulating my neck I was skeptical and afraid but my friend persisted. Going there was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Dr Ken is incredibly skilled, very gentle and genuinely cares. I was honestly extremely afraid of having any more attempts made at manipulating my neck. That fear alone causes you to tense up but Dr. Ken was able to relax me enough that he could indeed manipulate my neck. Within a short time I had full mobility in my neck again and consequently my quality of life back! I was extremely sad when Dr. Ken moved away, our loss is Kelowna's gain!

I have been to different chiropractors for 20 years. I have had a nagging lower back issue off and on. (I have other issues as well with spine)I have been given various advice from each of them. Some treat you like an open debit machine. Some have no treatment plan. Some came up with a treatment plan that didnt work for me. Dr Ken and his clinic appear to be a lot more in tune to a patients individual needs apposed to a cookie cutter approach. Its still early days, but I am seeing and feeling an improvement in my overall back health. One thing to consider are other ailments that you have with your health that maybe a result of your spinal posture and condition. They want to know about those. Lighthouse has some unique patient care devices that i havent seen before. The dennerrol table is one example. Expect a complete assessment when you go there. From xrays to other measurements and questionnaires. Expect a treatment plan. Your there to get better so my advice is to follow it. I am seeing positive results here. I highly recommend lighthouse. Great staff! Great doctors here. 5 star all the way.

Several years ago, we were introduced to chiropractic by our son’s music teacher, who happens to be Dr. Jenkins wife. Our son had missed a music class due to an ear infection, and Jan asked if we had considered chiropractic. We had not; as at the time, we had no idea that chiropractic could help with childhood ear infections. But tired of putting our son on antibiotics my husband and I decided to pay Dr. J a visit and we are so thankful that we did. We learned that chiropractic care could help prevent pain from ear infections, and it did! It also helped our son with his cold induced asthma. We did not want him using inhalers if he did not need to as he did not react well to them and we did not want to over-medicate. After speaking with Dr. Jenkins we learned how the entire family could benefit from chiropractic care so we decided to give it a shot. Our son has not had an ear infection or had to use inhalers for years, the frequency and severity of my husband’s migraine headaches have decreased significantly and our daughter and I (who have celiac disease) have noticed great improvements in our overall immune system strength. I first visited Dr. Ken in October 2020 regarding my long-standing issues with recurring migraines, insomnia, and chronic pain and fatigue. I was very impressed by Dr. Ken's wealth of knowledge. He was very professional, friendly, and thorough, and did a fantastic job of explaining the initial findings of my first assessment, in a way that I could clearly understand. He created a treatment plan and after less than a month of receiving chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Ken, my migraines completely stopped, and I'm able to sleep soundly through the night for the first time in years. My energy levels have also improved, and I haven't had any issues with my restless legs syndrome, which used to be very disruptive to my life. There is no doubt that these significant improvements to my mental and physical health are owed to my chiropractic treatments with Dr. Ken. I was recommended Shock Wave Therapy to treat bursitis in my knee that formed after a basketball injury. I had no reference point for what to expect out of the treatments but was willing to try anything to get my knee ship shape. (For those who don’t want to read on… after 6 appointments my knee is probably 95% better. I am able to do all activities that I was doing before my knee injury) I met with Bobby, who was personable and very knowledgeable, as I quickly found out. He asked some questions, I told him I had knee pain and without telling him much more he was able to identify the main issue and the other areas of my leg that had been affected. He carried out a thorough assessment to make sure he didn’t miss anything else that may be causing issues. After my 1st appointment my knee was quite sore for 1-2 days but then was significantly better for the next few days before my next appointment. This was the trend over the next month, each week the pain after treatment going down and the bursitis overall being healed. After months of waiting for my knee to get better on its own I wish I would have heard about Shock Wave Therapy sooner! With 6 treatments my knee is 95% better and I am able to do leg exercises and hikes without fear of pain! Thanks Bobby!!

My husband sustained a new back injury at work and needed help. Within no time he had an appointment to see Dr. Travis. I myself had received a back injury 3 years before and had flare ups from time to time. Every night going to bed and getting up in the morning was difficult due to this injury and being only 30 years old I knew I needed to do something. My husband had commenced a treatment plan with Dr. Travis and spoke so highly of his skills and compassion; so I too decided to jump in and try it out for myself. I am just over halfway through my treatment plan and I have results. I no longer need to sleep with a pillow in between my legs, I can get out of bed with ease and walking long distances no longer results in lots of ohhs and ahhs and uncomfortable post workout stretches. I tweaked my back and was unable to walk properly. I called the Lighthouse clinic and was greeted by a warm, compassionate voice on the phone. Jaz quickly booked me in for an appointment and an hour later I arrived at the clinic, hunched over and using a walker to assist me as I was unable to walk normally. Dr. Jenkins saw me right away, took x-rays and determined the problem immediately to be some disc wear at the bottom of my spine. Dr. J adjusted me and was able to get me standing upright and walked out of the clinic without the use of the walker. I didn’t know much about chiropractic treatment or what to expect going in but had come Lighthouse on a friend’s recommendation. The staff were great at explaining everything and really made me feel really comfortable with trying it out. I used to suffer from frequent back pain as well was problems from an old knee injury. Since I’ve been getting treatment at Lighthouse, my knee pain and mobility has improved significantly and my back pain has all but disappeared. Dr. Ken has changed my families’ life! A little bit about us, my husband and I have 3 beautiful children and have been together for 12 years. We were brought up very athletic, John has won a number of championships through football and currently teaches and competes MMA, I was a competitive cheerleader for 20 years winning numerous ribbons, trophies and national championships. To say the least, our bodies have taken some self inflicted punishment over the years. Back in 2003 I broke my back and had seen a number of Chiropractors, Physiotherapist, Massage Therapists and the list went on, I was completely discouraged by them all, basically living in pain everyday, taking pain killers so I could continue cheerleading and get by, I thought that was going to be my life forever…John was recommended to see Dr. Ken from a close friend back in 2013, he’d been recovering from an ankle injury and told that Chiropractic could help. He ‘dragged’ me in to the orientation to hear what it was all about. Let me tell you, we were put on a plan to see Dr. Ken 3 times a week for a couple months, then it dropped to 2 times a week, we still go once a week. John noticed the difference after the first couple treatments, his head was clearer, his ankle started to feel better, he was sleeping better. As I was dealing with years of pain, it took a couple months for me to notice the difference, it had been 11 years of ‘feeling pain’ almost constantly, then one day I ‘didn’t feel anything’, HEAVEN ON EARTH! My oldest daughter is now 5 years old and has been getting adjustments since 3 ½, our youngest daughter has been getting adjusted since 6months and is now almost 3 and our youngest is now 1 and his first adjustment was when he was 7 days old. They fall all the time, off bikes, when wrestling, and kids just fall when walking too. They’ve never been on any sort of medication (knock on wood) and are happy and healthy amazing little kids. We know the difference that Dr. Ken has made in our lives, and the lives of our kids, and we recommend him to everyone! To this day since we’ve been seeing him we haven’t needed any form of pain killer, or any other medication and feel blessed that he entered our lives. He’ll be a dear friend to my family forever.
