Mike McGinnis's hands are geniuses. After seeing FeetDocs (informative and thorough but only recommended surgery) I went to the folks a SoleFit (awesome place if you have any type of foot problem - GO THERE NOW!) for my subluxed toe and they recommended massage therapy. Mike found a tight calf muscle and worked it until I was sweating profusely on the table (NOTE: He adjusts his pressure for each client, you don't need to be in pain during a massage). After my second session, I got up off the table and walked to the car carrying my crutches. No pain either. Toe came out a few days later as we expected. Continued with massage and started seeing Dr. Jared Gerston (who admits when he doesn't know something and looks it up - a hallmark of a good healthcare provider) to begin strengthening to keep the toe in the joint. Awesome place. PS. Mike is also pretty smart.

She always tests to make sure her treatments are effective and does such a great job at treating me and explaining how to prove my movement in daily life. She comes recommended to me by other athletes and I now know 3 others who see her. We all talk about how good her work is. Restore is a no BS, honest place that helps you recover and improve. Their service is always great, from the sounds of it, management is invested in helping people heal and not focused on money. They make sure to only hire top practitioners who care about the art and their clients' health. Local, independent, and amazing results. Definitely recommend.

I recommend Mike for sport injury or in my case horrible posture and weak back, lol. He will talk you through all of it, so if your looking for serious massage therapy as a way of fixing your frame and not a non-sense spa treatment then he's your guy. 13 outta 10 would reccomend!!

I just visited Mike again for the second time. I knew I was in need for massage therapy. I have sought out massage therapy as an effective natural treatment for many years--it works for me. (It's just a matter of making time for my own self-care). I remembered the effective treatment I received from him before and thought I really need to do this. Once again, I was very pleased with his work and the results. The treatment was effective in various ways. I was so relieved and happy. The next day I contacted the office to thank Mike and convey my satisfaction and appreciation. I believe professionals deserve and require the positive as well as the kind constructive criticism if we sincerely want them to continue to improve, hone their skills and provide good service. Mike is skilled and he knows what he is doing...period...I can tell. He presents himself as engaged with his clients and concerned for their health as well as the importance for a good treatment experience.

My first experience with a chiropractor was at Restore in Ottawa. To be honest I was somewhat wary and generally don't like to be prodded but someone I trust had recommended the place and so at my wit's end because of a chronic groin injury, I decided to give it a go. And I am ecstatic that I did. I ended up in the competent hands of Jared, a personable practitioner, obviously very passionate about his work. He went into detail about what he was doing, putting me at ease with his knowledge while dispelling any doubts I may have had about the validity of the approach. Moreover, after the session, he gave me a series of exercises that I could do on my own without trying to sell me on a drawn-out treatment plan at the clinic. That was 6 months ago and I am ever so grateful to Jared at Restore because since that time I have continued to play competitive football (which you all call soccer), which is notoriously brutal on the groin area without having suffered any recurrences. Hopefully I never do but I am 43 and should it happen, I would not hesitate to visit my Mr. Miyagi Jared at Restore.

I have seen three different people at this clinic, and all three have been fantastic. Most of my time has been spent with Dr. Gerston. I really can not say enough about his skill. Prior to finding him I did not have a high opinion of the chiropractic profession. Now I will recommend him to anyone I meet with any body movement issues. I have seen many professionals over the years, mostly physiotherapists, but also chiropractors, and an osteopath. I have had varying levels of success with each, but he shares the top spot with one physio I have seen. He is an excellent diagnostician, and spends most of his time with me working on tissue problems rather than just cracking my back. He is exceptional at quickly finding the underlying problem and helping you work to restore balance and strength. This review is for Dr. Romana Schmidt who will be starting her chiro position at this location shortly. I suffered from chronic shoulder and neck tension, along with chronic tension headaches almost every single day. I saught different kinds of treatment without success until I read online reviews for Romana. I tried treatment from her the first time at her Toronto office and immediately felt so much better. After multiple follow up treatments, I have been able to increase my days without headaches or shoulder/neck tension. She has worked wonders with me and I was a complete mess to start off with. She is genuinely caring and is just so amazing and what she does.

I personally see Mike and Dr. Schmidt and they are my go to for massage and chiro! My daughter had torticollis as a baby and she was able to successful treat her. My many thanks to Restore clinic for helping me to fix my lower back. I am the 50 year old man. I play hockey once a week. My first visit to the clinic was in 2016. I was the first Romana's patient. She treated my sore lower back. Romana is very knowledgeable and caring professional. Later I decide to try massage therapy at Restore. I booked an appointment with Mike. I like the deep massage Mike practices. We talk during the sessions and he always answer my muscle related questions giving me tips on how to release trigger points on my own. I l also booked massage sessions with Blanche. Blanche's massages are calming. At one of the sessions when I was talking to Mike he advised me to see Dr. Jared Gerston. My third vist with Jared was a turning point when my back on-going soreness went down I would say by 50%. Jared in addition to chiro practices Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT). This is a fascinating edge-cutting technique that basically let's your brain to reconnect with your muscles in a right way. I highly recommend Restore clinic.

Know the risks of chiropractic before you go here - it is pseudoscience. I went here when I had an injury and it was a complete mistake. The chiropractor insisted that he had the skills to treat me when he did not, as things were not getting better at all. When I said I was going to leave and try a physiotherapist he asked me to stay and insisted that he could still help, that things were actually improving. When I later told a physician and a physio about this they were appalled because it was completely outside the scope of a chiropractor and I clearly needed to seek medical help from an actual doctor. Chiropractors should know their scope and refer clients elsewhere when they are outside of their scope. If the chiropractor isn't going to do this, you as the client need to be aware of this risk.

I never do google reviews but this clinic and Dr. Remi Pearl truly deserve it! T'was an exceptional experience. Dr. Pearl was extremely knowledgeable and informative. I find that she truly cares about her patients overall health -- it really shows during treatments/follow ups. I was given many exercises and tools to help with my hip pain and it honestly helped so much. In fact, I recommended her to my mom for her arthritis and she was so pleased with the treatments. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Pearl for concerns regarding any sort of mobility/pain issues or other health related issues!
