If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Right off the bat the ladies at the front desk were so kind and kept complimenting me. Then during the intake I told Dr. Lohrenz that I’ve been through a lot in the last year. He showed me nothing but kindness sympathy and lowered the price of his services for me. He went into depth about what was going on with my body and why I was feeling the way I was and it all made perfect sense. His eagerness to help me feel better was really reassuring. I just moved here from Alberta and this was a good way to see how kind the people here really are!

I am a traveller from Belgium and was suddenly confronted with a seriously blocked neck while down in Nova Scotia. This happened on a Saturday morning. I called about 20 practices in the southern half of the island, up to Halifax and only two contacted me back, Dr Brad Lohrenz's wife being one of the callbacks. She actually returned my call on Sunday - which I found superbly accommodating, and offered that Dr Lohrenz see me the same day. So I drove down to Halifax and was helped in a way that I find very similar to what I experienced at my chiropractor back home. My pain was relieved for the largest part the same day, and we added some follow up visits to work through the blockage. I did have to get used to the very short (10 minutes or so) follow-up visits (in Belgium, every visit is 40-5- minutes, intake or follow up :) ) and while Dr Lohrenz saw me four times in 2 weeks, I added 3 more visits with another chiropractor and one therapeutic massage while I was traveling onward. But all in all, Dr Lohrenz helped me very well. He explained his evaluation and treatment process clearly, which I highly appreciate. His assistant and wife were both also very kind to me. now, four weeks later, I am still pain free and happy I can continue my travels!

Back in October, I was about to give one star and to give a bad rating for the care I received. Here is what happened and why I changed to a four star. I went to this clinic in October due to mid, upper back and neck pain. I had trouble turning my head and shoulders and it was affecting my life. My friend, AAL, referred me to his chiropracter. I was not sure but nothing was giving me any relief. I set up an appointment and take to the main doctor and he went through his examination and gave me some information as to what was happening. He told me that I might have some discomfort, as it is possible after the treatment, and that he wanted me to reschedule for the next day. I didn't. I came back in a week and was in worse pain. A week later, it still hurt. I didn't come back. My friend asked me when I told him about what was going on to call the clinic and talk to the doctor. I was not ready to do that. I was hurting and I was now blaming it on him. Move ahead to January. I decided to call. The doctor saw me and asked me to give him a chance to work on my problem. I decided to do the 2-3 times a week because nothing was helping. I realized one morning last week that I didn't have any pain and that I had one of the best sleeps in a long time. What I learned. I was in pain for a long time and it was not going to get better over night. When he set up the times, I should have followed his recommendation and understood it was not an overnight fix. Outcome: I feel great and I am now referring my friends and family. I just wish I had listened earlier instead of blaming him for my constant pain. I've been treated extremely good by the clinic and the staff. I have one concern and that is that the parking is not always easy, but they are accommodating. I also wish they had water or something for people when they are in the waiting room. Thank you to the clinic.

I had gone to Dr. MacNeil last Tuesday for some soreness in which I had been experiencing in my shoulder. With no examinations or questions Dr. MacNeil began adjusting me. Despite the discomfort in which I expressed he continued. It wasn’t until I expressed that I was in severe pain did he stop and claimed I must’ve had a “prior injury.” He failed to ask me the relevant questions or thoroughly review my file. Upon leaving my appointment I went straight to the emergency to find out that he had in fact dislocated my shoulder. I had then reached out to the clinic to notify them of their malpractice in which they denied all claims and have done nothing to compensate for the injury caused in their clinic. I have not only endured an injury and extreme discomfort but I have been forced to take time off work and have incurred additional fees to recover. I would recommend avoiding this clinic at all costs. They have proven their incompetence and lack of genuine care for their doing.

I was in a car accident at the end of August 2019 where someone ran into the back of my car causing damage to my lower back and neck. Being ridiculously stubborn I didn't seek help until October when I finally went to see a doctor, who referred me for physiotherapy and massage. I was in physio for over 3 months, with various exercises being prescribed to address my pain. Yet a year and eight months later I was still experiencing severe daily pain that impeded my ability to do my regular activities of daily living. I had spoke to both my doctor and physiotherapist about chiropractor services as my friend who was unfortunately in the car accident with me was seeking chiropractic support. Both my doctor and physiotherapist strongly advised me against getting this service! However, after a year and 8 months I had enough, I was tired of dealing with the daily pain, no matter how much I exercised. So I finally, with a kick in the butt from my brother and my friend, went to see my friend's chiropractor. 1 month later, I am going days with barely noticing any pain! Now, I am still receiving regular treatments (2 times per week), but I have little to no pain most days! And these results were almost immediate! I do still experience some pain depending on what I do, but I am finally hopeful that I will actually be able to live without constant pain and limitations for the rest of my life! I am bubbily with joy! I am now converted! I was soooo scared to go see a chiropractor, and as a result I experienced significant daily pain for soooo much longer than I needed to. Seeing a chiropractor has changed my life! Go see a chiropractor! Make sure they are qualified, competent, and skilled just like you would with your physiotherapist or massage therapist. They are working on your body! I will say that Brad Lohrenz has been doing this work for over thirty years and he has greatly impressed me with his depth of knowledge, his thoroughness of his assessment, and in his delivery of service. He is awesome! And he came highly recommended to me from other people. I would without hesitation recommend him to anyone! Thank you Brad!
