I met Dr. Aleksandra Gasinski many months ago after I was diagnosed with C-Difficile. Our first step was to complete a G-Map kit which not only confirmed the C-Diff but also uncovered a case of H-Pylori and other difficiencies. So, Dr. Gasinski recommended a 6 week protocol of an alternation between specific antimicrobial supplements every 2 weeks. (Meanwhile, my GP had given me the option of a 14 day protocol of 3 different antibiotic treatments to treat my H-Pylori that could have very well triggered another bout of C-Diff. Therefore, I chose to go the natural root.) I followed the treatment that Dr. Gasinski suggested for almost 8 weeks. I then got tested at hospital by ways of a urea breath test, which is the gold standard for diagnosing H-Pylori, and it came back negative. I cannot know if my C-Diff is gone as well as there are no tests given to confirm this that is covered. The only way I could would be by getting another G-mapping test...which I will consider at a later date as they are expensive and my C-Diff symptoms are all but gone right now. Aleksandra is incredibly knowledgeable and has a real depth of experience when it comes to patient care. She made me feel heard and respected. I felt more like a cooperative participant in my wellness than a stand by observer. She has an exceptional talent and I feel blessed to have had the pleasure of working with her on the betterment of my health and wellness. I highly and strongly urge anyone to go see Dr. Gasinski should they be dealing with a disease they cannot figure out or simply as an option to a natural avenue to their wellness instead of the usual pharmaceutical roadmap prescribed by our GP’s. I know that for myself and my loved ones, she is now on my wellness roster and will be forever my first line of defence.

The Osteopath Danielle is fantastic, I never knew I could go through a day without back pain and yet I have been experiencing that for months since seeing her! She explains what she's doing as she's doing it, so you can understand about your body. She also works with you and gives suggestions in your daily life to help alleviate or avoid causing problems or pain areas. Highly recommended! Spencer, a RMT, is also great! Could not recommend Natural Choice Medical Clinic more strongly. After seeing a fertility specialist who didn't care enough to ask any questions or make any real effort to get to the root of any of my issues it was such a relief to see Dr. Kelsey Duncan, who asked me tons of questions and analyzed my results much more closely. She answers all my email (and there are lots!) promptly and answers any question I have whenever I need an answer. Best of all, she helped me to get pregnant after two months of seeing her, after over a year of failing to conceive. Now I feel sorry for anyone who goes through infertility and believes their only course of action is to try IUI or IVF. I found the naturalistic approach to be more empathetic and centered around my feelings and my body, and loved how much it felt like we were working toward correcting an underlying problem as opposed to applying a band-aid fix that may be great for some people but wasn't necessary in my case. The reception staff is delightful to deal with and I greatly look forward to my visits there.

This clinic was not able to prescribe full spectrum Hormone Replacement Therapy nor give you a requision for blood test that would be covered by OHIP. Also, in my experience, practitioners here do not work together so be prepared for additional consult charges if you need to see someone else in the clinic. I spent a considerable amount of money and ended up having to going elsewhere to get my eventual solution.

Regrettably, I had a very negative experience seeking naturopathic care with Natural Choice Medical Clinic despite being highly reputable. There were multiple issues that stemmed from poor communication among the naturopaths and between the naturopaths and the administrative staff. I was prescribed the same supplement twice because there was a lack of communication between the two naturopaths who were overseeing my treatment – Kelsey Duncan and Kim Vance. When questioned about it, I was told I could take the supplement anyway because it "wouldn't hurt me" but I asked Kim whether it would help and she told me that I it likely wouldn't make much of a difference because I had already taken it. Kelsey prescribed a supplement that was $22 online with prescription and Kim recommended that I go to Metro and purchase the same supplement for $80 - I never got an explanation for this. I appreciate that the clinic is trying to make their services more accessible by offering lower rates to students. However, I found out the clinic was also charging me for adults visit knowing I was a full-time University of Guelph student, which was documented during the initial visit. When I inquired about why I was charged incorrectly, I was told by Carolyn "the naturopath doesn’t talk to billing." Harmonie Eleveld eventually agreed to refund me the difference, but she decided they could no longer serve me because I no longer trusted them and they were unable to repair the relationship. This decision was passed along to me through Kim and not Harmonie herself. In addition to all of this, during my last appointment, I was recommended to go on a very restrictive diet for eight weeks and they gave me the name of a new naturopath because Harmonie felt they couldn't finish my treatment. The diet I was given was so unclear and Kim told me to download an app, which was different from the diet I was to be following. I felt I was set up to fail with no support with such a restrictive and unclear diet.

Have always been a little skeptical of natural medicine but was recommended to the Natural Choice Medical Clinic for problems with osteoarthritis pain in my feet. Have been a life long runner and was forced to stop last Fall because of the pain. Went for a consultation and was very impressed with Dr. Gair and the friendly, helpful staff. A little over a year ago I had my first appointment with Dr. Aleksandra Gasinski and its safe to say she has help me completely change my life. I was struggling with anxiety & depression and after being on medication in the past with no real success, I was looking for a different solution. The actual experience at the clinic was fabulous & Dr. Duncan was a kind doctor who listened to everything I had to say. I am rating this review 5 stars because I have absolutely nothing to complain about with my actual experience with Dr. Duncan :) However, the clinic location was not as good - it was unclear where to pull into the parking lot, the Natural Choice Medical Clinic did not appear to have a sign outside so I didn’t know if I was in the right location, and the signage to find offices within the clinic could use a lot of work. It cost $2 to leave the parking lot & the machines would only accept loonies or twoonies. I visited on the weekend when the pharmacy downstairs wasn’t open, so I would have been hard pressed to leave without the correct change.
