Dr. Verners treated me years ago when I could not even pick up a piece of paper. My doctor suggested muscle relaxants. Dr. Jim was referred to me and right away my arm felt better. 3 then 2 times a week and the pain was gone. Over the past 8 years I have been treated by him for hips, shoulders, pelvis and knee. He will tell me to come back if he feels I need to see him, otherwise he tells me to call when I need to. I can not say enough about his understanding of my physical problems. I have gone to many different chiropractors, but for me Dr. Jim Verners is the best.

I had seen Dr. Jim a number of times and things went well. Then one treatment I was left in chronic pain for 2.5 weeks. I sent a detailed note about my pain via email. No response. I called and got him on the phone, and he told me my pain was not related to the chiro treatment (It started 2-3 days after, as well as some major shifting and cracking of multiple joints.) He was not empathetic to my situation at all and got me off the phone as soon as possible. I sent another email, looking to rebook for a reassesment as he had recommended in the phone conversation. Nothing, no response. I used to get responses fairly immediately before when I emailed them. I was not angry, or blaming at anytime, and simply said I believed the adjustment caused these symptoms-my hip was adjusted when I came in to get my knee looked at. Anyways, to suffer from nerve pain and lack of sleep and an inability to walk very far, and in response to have this kind of treatment from a company simply disgusts me. I much prefer chiro's and other health professionals who value their devoted and loyal customers and actually care about people. May I recommend instead trying Dr. Colin MacLeod Chiro on Quadra st.

Competent, professional and friendly. I've had consistent success working with Dr. Verners to manage chronic and accident related issues for more than five years now. He is willing to explain what he is doing and why, as well as talk about what you can do to help prevent/mitigate issues.

I'm particularly tall, so Dr Verners did something unusual in one of my first visits, and that particular problem has never been as bad since—a problem which I had been treating once a month for over a year with my previous chiropractor. He's very knowledgeable and efficient. I'm a highly scientific personality type, and he communicates with me on my own level. If the musculature along your spine is especially tight, he'll probably treat you with the activator pen, and then ask you to come back for a second visit in under a week. This is an expensive and time consuming way to receive treatment for sitting too long without stretching (what Dr Verners calls "maintaining a static posture"). Aside from my own stupidity (not stretching enough) there's not a single thing to complain about in my relationship with Dr Verners.

Jim listens and uses many different techniques that other chiropractors will not or maybe were never taught to use. No hesitation recommending him. His office being open at 7 is super appreciated. Jim is not prone to having you back over and over again for the same issue. His pooch Magic and all staff are icing on the cake!
