I've been going to Dr Elder for years. Prior to that I had suffered for years with neck pain due to a car accident in my early 20s. I go regularly for adjustments and my quality of life has improved dramatically! He also helps my vertigo when I'm having issues with it and has fitted me with orthotics. Near the end of June, I experienced excruciating lower back (lumbar pain). I was in such pain that I could not walk or even move without crying out and I had to be carried out by two grown men. I was unable to bear any weight. After a few sessions with Dr. Elder, I was able to move unassisted again. After a week and a half, I was able to move without significant pain and able to return to work. It's been 2 months and I am virtually pain free. The office staff are amazing people, no less so than Dr. Elder himself. They are kind and patient. Highly recommended.

Dr. Elder went above and beyond to help relieve me of pain in my neck from a compressed nerve. I had 4 days to feel good enough to fly to an important business pitch, and I couldn't even move. Not only did he see me right away (as a walk-in whom he had never met before) but he came in on the weekend just to be sure I had a chance... and he helped me get to a point where I could function well enough to do a great job. He also spent time to learn my background and help me with posture tricks. I am a person who likes a lot of rationale, and he always educates me on what he is doing. I couldn't be more happy with the service, attention, and kindness I have received at this clinic.

Dr. Elder is fantastic in finding the root cause of the problem! After an ankle sprain, I have had knee pain for the last 2 years. Nothing was working even though I was going to physiotherapy, buying supplements, and visiting doctors. But when I started to see Dr.Elder, my knee pain was dramatically reduced. With good rest and maintenance, I have almost 0 pain now. Dr. Elder really listens to your problem, picks up on details, and helps to determine the root cause. He is the best chiropractor ever!

I was very happy to find Dr. Elder when I did. I was having a lot of upper back pain, and had never been to a chiropractor before. I have been seeing Dr. Elder for over a year now. I had terrible back pain, and lumps on my lower back. After a series of treatments, the pain and lumps are gone. I have chronic neck pain as well, and regular adjustments keep that in check. Dr. Elder's adjustments are less aggressive then some chiropractors I have been to, but still get the job done. They do reminders and follow ups which is helpful. The hours are great for early morning appointments and street parking isn't usually an issue.

We are so thankful to have met Dr. Elder. He has really made a difference in my son's rehabilitation from a sports injury that he has struggled with for the last couple of years. My son is a very active teen-aged soccer player who grew very quickly over the last couple of years and has suffered some sport-specific trauma type injuries to go with his hyper-active teenager growth rate. Dr. Elder knew exactly what the problems were with our young athlete and knew exactly how to apply chiropractic corrections and to also communicate the need for rehab in a way a teenager could relate to. I was visiting Victoria from California. Last month I injured my IlioTibial Band and had terrible leg and knee pain. Also, the toes on both feet went numb and I had neck and back pain from the hotel pillows. The doctor gave me two treatments in one day spaced 3hrs apart. Numbness gone. I felt great. We moved on to Tofino and Ucluelet. Lots of ez to moderate hiking. I still feel pretty good considering I'm injured and the knee thing will take months of therapy. Going back to Victoria in a few days and have an appointment with Dr. Elder. He's knowledgeable, down to earth in explaining anatomy and what's happening to the body when injured, and his adjustment techniques are spot on. As an american who's been thru our healthcare system, I find the prices and service reasonable and very, very thorough and accommodating. Best decision I've made on this trip. My dad's been a chiropractor for 45yrs so I know a good one when I see him. Dr. Elder is excellent.

My regular chiropractor had been off on medical leave and suffice to say, not having had an adjustment for my neck for several weeks I was in pretty bad shape. The pain had become so severe that I was taking heavy duty pain meds just to make it through the day. Dr. Elder fit me in, did an adjustment and pretty much immediately like magic I was feeling significantly better. Such a relief and such a nice chiropractor. He listened to my concerns, and gave me positive results. Had me in for a follow up appointment and again, like magic got further relief! Dr. James Elder is a great chiropractor who really cares about his patients. I have been going there for more than a year and initially, he helped me with acute back pain and now he helps maintains my health so the issue doesn't happen again. (I'm a work-at-home person and my back is an issue because I'm bad about posture while working.) He's also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. If you haven't seen a chiropractor before and are nervous, he's a good person to try. I also love the way this office is open early in the morning so I can get my adjustment before my day starts. Oh, and he doesn't push additional products or services on anyone. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
