I had a back injury in 2009 which ended my construction career as a skilled tradesman. I saw a neurosurgeon who treated me with some trigger point injections, which only treated the pain symptoms temporarily. I had developed sciatica and was unable to walk at times. I later had acupuncture treatment, but as I learned after seeing Dr. Mark, it did not address my skeletal issues. I was planning to see another Neurosurgeon in Victoria (who was apparently fond of the knife), when luckily a friend of mine recommended that I see her Chiropractor (Dr. Mark Smith) who had fixed her after she was in a serious car accident. Best choice I possibly could have made! After a series of 8 treatments @ Progressive Chiropractic -- my back and mobility feel better than they have in over 20 years! He relieved me of that chronic and recurring pain that had limited my functionality previously.

Dr. Mark is professional, personable, and very thorough! He helped me so much! I have chronic back and hip pain, and came to him because of an injury I got in aquafit, trying too hard to improve my fitness level. I was fascinated by the video x-ray, and he pointed out all the spots where my back and neck were not moving the way they should be. I like that he doesn't twist me to do the adjustments, his methods feel much more precise and I was able to fully relax while he was working on me. I progressed each visit until I felt better, and now some of my chronic pain is starting to improve! As soon as I am financially able again, I will be going back for sure to have him look at my sore wrists/hands.

Having ongoing back and knee problems, I was referred to Dr. Mark Smith and the welcoming Team at Progressive Chiropractic. I am so very glad I followed through on my friend's advice. The X-Ray method used to show and explain my situation was very advanced yet easy to understand. Dr. Smith created a plan to progressively treat me, and I am so pleased with the results. I now go for maintenance sessions, and intend to keep that up going forward. I stay 'in-line' now, and don't wake up with a sore neck and back. I am back to my long walks. I have had chiropractic treatment previously and was wary of trying it again. Mark x-rays the body and shows you the results. I like that, it helps me to visualize what he's adjusting. There is no twisting of the spine. I like that too. I wouldn't go anywhere else now that I've found him. He straightened me up on my first treatment. I was amazed and greatly relieved.

I was always skeptical about chiropractic care, until I attended a meeting at which Dr. Mark Smith was the guest speaker. At that point I was feeling quite discouraged, having lived with increasingly painful back spasms for many years. No one seemed able to give me an answer other than to suggest that I would have to live with it. Listening to Mark's presentation, I was very impressed by his manner and common-sense information. I spoke to him briefly after the meeting, thought it over for a few days, and decided to make an appointment. I began going to Progressive Chiropractic because I'd been physically active since I was a teenager and wanted to get a better understanding of the condition of my body. My sessions with Dr. Mark began at a time where I was rapidly escalating the level of activity as I was training for a sports event that put substantial strain on my body. I found the experience extremely beneficial. Dr Mark was able to correct some long-term challenges I had, particularly with my hips, which improved the consistency in the various racquet sports I was playing. I also found that my chiropractic care tremendously improved my recovery rate in between workouts/training sessions. By helping my body get closer to the way it is designed, Dr Mark enabled me to move more efficiently and improved my overall health. I was previously a chiropractic skeptic. But if you're suffering from back pain or other symptoms requiring chiropractic care, I can't recommend Progressive Chiropractic enough. The technologically advanced equipment (such as their video x-ray machine) put them on a different level in the province.

I'm so impressed with Dr.Mark & his clinic. He has integrated technology within his practice to give the patient a real picture of what is happening within their body. The live motion x-Rays (live motion fluoroscopy) have shown me exactly what areas are contributing to my pain. He has educated me as to how my body should be moving as well as what areas are not responding to normal movement. Prior to each treatment the thermal scanner gives me a picture of my current state as well as my progression with each treatment. I have experienced years of back & neck pain. I've sought chiropractic care in the past I would usually experience a few days of relief. I'm thrilled to report I've experienced long lasting pain relief within a few treatments. When i first hobbled into Marks office a few months agoI was extremely doubtful that this type of therapy could help my back pain and limited mobility. A week prior to my first visit I was prescribed 2 different types of pain pills to relieve my nagging discomfort (i have osteoarthritis among other lower back issues). After 4 days of taking the drugs I found my mind cloudy and I experienced a strong desire to sleep my days away. I felt so doped out and the pills did little to reduce the back pain. Marks' technology rapidly identified the cause of my discomfort and after my 2nd session I felt an incredible relief from my discomfort. I have had 7 sessions and I am once again able to take long walks again and feel that 90% of my pain has disappeared. Mark still recommends a good diet and exercise program in addition to his therapy and it works!. My thanks to Mark for giving me back my mobility and reducing my pain.

Best Chiropractor in town! What makes Progressive Chiropractor uniqe from others is their use of technology. Dr. Mark uses live video motion xray to examine your spine. Dr. Mark is an amazing chiropractor and person. The staff are lovely and easy to communicate with. Also, when your done with Dr. Mark, you are treat to a electronic massage table for 10 minutes for no extra charge. I have been seeing him for almost 2 years now. I highly recommend him.
