Why fill out paperwork if the doctor doesn’t even review it? I spent the time filling out the paperwork thoroughly only for him to ask me the same questions when I sat down. He clearly hadn’t even glanced at it. I felt like Dr. Acosta didn’t take time to understand my concerns as a patient and rushed the entire experience. Instead he tried to sell me a package. Not a fan. Focus on today first. He very quickly adjusted my back and neck only, nothing else... completely ignoring the shoulder pain that has been bothering me for so long, and the main reason I actually drove out of my hometown to Dawsonville just to see him upon recommendation. He didn’t even take time to explain or talk about what could be going on with that area. This is why I am also offering some advice here: if you want a more thorough exam and treatment, this is not the place for you.

They were friendly but not professional. I made an appointment. Got there before appointed time and started the paperwork. Two people came in a few minutes later. They did not have an appointment and were also given paperwork. The Dr? Came out and took them first. I can here their discussion about treatment and 30 minutes later I am still waiting. The receptionist was nice but over sold chiropractic services. The reply doesn't address the issue I had. The wait time only exasterbated it. I had an appointment AND I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment and before the people they took back first, even though they did NOT have an appointment. I know this for a fact because the receptionist asked them.

Dr. René Acosta is phenomenal. I just moved down here from Michigan a couple of months ago and I was worried about finding a good chiropractor. I have slipped discs in my neck and it’s extremely difficult to adjust, in fact, it takes most chiropractors months to get it right. However, Dr. René got it right on the first try. Popped a rib out of place moving which aggravated an existing back condition that I've been on maintenance for during the past 12 years. We able to go in on Saturday with am hours notice for my initial appt. After evaluating and adjusting only those areas not in the area of my back that had an implant, I wanted out straight and am able to sit, stand and bend without feeling like the rib is going to pop through my back. I'll be going back to continue treatment and can't wait. The adjustment on my neck has it feeling better than it has in years.

This place is ok for a quick minor adjustment. Do not go here if you have real pain and you need a precision adjustment. I went in with a simple crick in my neck . They adjusted me without X-ray and now I have serious shooting pain down my arm . Even went back giving them the benefit of doubt and got the same result. The chiropractor doesn’t listen to you ,they want you in and out! They are a back-pop shop!

The doctor was nice and the lady at the front desk was nice, however to even be seen I had to sign up for the monthly membership which had to last atleast 2 months. I was in terrible pain so I agreed, since it was a Sunday and no one else was open. I was told x-rays would only be done after a few months if pain persisted. We did the basic adjustment that day and took all of 5 minutes, the paperwork took longer. The next day I went to a well know chiropractor 5 minutes down the road. He did x-rays that day before adjustments, and spent about 50 minutes with me explaining the issue with my spine and doing more finite adjustments. Monthly at the new chiropractor with x-rays and more of a personalized adjustment program was cheaper then the joints 2 minute adjustment monthly program. The joint also told me I could cancel over the phone, however when I called I was told I had to come in and fill out paperwork.

No employees were wearing masks at all. The chiropractor was not sanitizing in between patients while not wearing a mask. This is a wellness center that is ignoring their patients safety in every way during a pandemic. Every employee at all retail stores are wearing masks. Why would a wellness center think this is just not needed. The chiropractor was very pushy to sign us up for a wellness plan. I will never set foot in Th Joint again after this terrible experience.

I'd definitely recommend this place for those with minor neck and back issues. The monthly plan they offer is great for those on a budget, and they have a great military discount on top of that!
