I was very skeptical at first, especially after I went to a different chiropractor and they provided very minimal treatment for a much higher price, plus I never really took the time to educate myself on the benefits of chiropractic care. After a few visits with Dr. Jerry, there was a noticeable improvement in mobility and a decrease in overall pain and soreness in my back. Fast forward to now where I have 50+ visits with the Dr and I've noticed that I have become more conscious about my posture and the mobility in my neck and back is amazing. Dr Jerry is very well but soft spoken, easy to get along with, and is extremely informative. When he answers any questions or concerns of mine, he does so in a way that I can understand. One of the best things about this clinic is the feeling that Dr Jerry actually wants you to be healthy by giving information and stretches that you can do in your own time to improve your quality of life. When my son was six he started to complain of a sore back. I thought it was just growing pains as he was a very active child and it wasn’t consistent pain at the time. When he turned 7 his back pain really started to increase in severity. I tried everything! I massaged his back every night, I used hot and cold compresses and I even bought him an expensive new mattress in hopes it would help him. Unfortunately, it did not! Finally, I was introduced to the wonders of chiropractic and he began care with Dr. Jerry. After thorough neurological and orthopedic testing, it was discovered that my son was suffering from scoliosis! Not knowing much about scoliosis, I was overwhelmed and honestly a bit scared, but Dr. Jerry talked with my son and I and explained the ways that chiropractic care can help and now almost 3 years later he is no longer complaining about back pain and he is able to be a kid again and keep up with his friends and get a restful sleep at night! My lower back was all misaligned due to the years of weight training but with Dr.Jerry and his scheduled plans was able to get thing back. Since going I have noticed less back strain, back issues. Dr. Jerry's adjustments seem rushed compared to other chiropractors. Although his adjustments are very well priced the value is just not there. There is little privacy in the office. This is because he has two treatment chairs in an open space with no doors and right next to the front desk. people in the waiting room can hear you getting adjusted and talking about your issues and there is usually someone on a table right next to you while being treated. I found another practice that is much more thorough and more engaged in discussing my symptoms. They also use more techniques/treatments. if I could rate Dr. Jerry's secretary staff it would be 5 stars.

It has been six months since I showed up at the Dalhousie Family Chiropractic due to a very acute lower pain that made my life miserable every other day. The first couple of sessions I noticed how the pain was gradually disappearing and how that improved my mood since then. I starting going about a month ago with pain in my shoulder and upper back that was keeping me up at night and limiting my activities at the gym and with my daughter. I have been receiving the care from Dr. Eric since February 2020. This is my second review as I could not recommend this place enough. Since I finished my treatment plan with Dr. Eric, I have found amazing improvement. Since then, with all of the explaining, the x-rays, the scans, the continued adjustments, the understanding of the human nervous system, the impact of our daily routine on our posture and the importance of being active, helped me understand why chiropractic care is the best option for me and why it works. One of the things I liked about this office, was going over the goals I have in life. One of my goals was long hiking with my family as we love to do before, but because of my chronic hip and back pain, I was not able to do. Ever since, I have completed more hikes this year than I have ever done in my entire life. I exercise four to five days a week with little to no pain. I have so much energy now and feel 100 times better. Also, during the quarantine, I injured my left hand and could not sleep because I pinched few nerves. My hand got weaker day by day and could not lift or use it for anything. I reached out to the office and Dr. Eric was able to take me in for the urgent care. He adjusted my hand frequently and showed me few stretches to do. I felt so much better and could finally sleep. During my initial visit I met both Dr. Jerry and Dr. Eric, had a nerve scan and x-rays done in-clinic, and a thorough consult where I was able to communicate my ongoing concerns with my back. With these diagnostics and my personal history, Dr. Jerry helped me to understand the level of degeneration in my spine and what steps were needed to improve it. From there he developed a treatment plan outlining the frequency of adjustments, reassessments, and tips for managing the health of my back in between adjustments. Whenever I return for my regular adjustments, the check-in process is streamlined and efficient, the team is friendly and pleasant to interact with, and Dr. Jerry always takes the time to check in with my progress. Dr. Jerry is fantastic and has greatly impacted my well-being by adjusting me on a regular basis and has saved me when I have had a few last minute appointments after I tweaked my back. I can't recommend this office enough! I started using chiropractic care after my back got so tweaked that I couldn't move my neck and was in immense pain every time I tried to rotate or shoulder check while driving. I was recommended to Dr. Jerry from a friend, I left a voicemail at the office and was called back as soon as they opened by one of the incredibly friendly staff, they were able to get me booked that afternoon. I thought that Chiropractic Care was only for neck pain or back pain, but Dr. Jerry educated me on all the benefits of a healthy/adjusted spine on our body. This was over 3 years ago, today, my posture is greatly improved, I no longer experience neck and back pain for longer than it takes me to get an appointment in (usually the same day, or at worst, the next day), and most importantly, I no longer experience daily headaches (best benefit of chiro for me!). My favourite aspects of the office: I am always greeted by name with warmth and enthusiasm from all the staff, occasionally, even a staff puppy who is the sweetest and shy boy that comes to say hello. I love checking in with my scan card and hearing a personalized announcement when it is time for my adjustment. Best of all, I love that the layout of the office is quite open (for general adjustments - private rooms are available for back scans etc.), this makes the experience really quick for me and it really feels like there is a special community of folks that get treated here. It is certainly a lot less intimidating to get an adjustment here than a stuffy closed off space! Can't say enough about Dr. Jerry and his great team!

After making an appointment at Dalhousie Chiropractic Clinic, a thorough assessment was made right at the clinic, including scans and x-rays. Dalhousie Family Chiropractic has been phenomenal since day 1. All of the staff are really great and friendly and all around really caring and supportive. I have been seeing both Dr Eric and Dr Jerry for just a short while but they are both phenomenal and the real cool thing is no matter who you see they are knowledgeable on what's going on so you are not restricted to just seeing one of them and having to juggle the time to fit it in. I’m not going to share my opinion about the Dalhousie Family Chiropractor Clinic just my experience. I went to pick up my son from school but unfortunately, I fell on my tailbone and I was in lot of pain. My lower back was in so much pain that I couldn’t sit or stand. I visited doctor’s office, I took pain killers and other means, but nothing helped. I began searching online to find a solution but still could not find anything to help me with my symptoms nor could I find someone to help financially. Then one day I came across Dr Jerry’s video on their website and he explained how Chiropractor helped him and he explained that he might help other people with spinal pain. So, I decided to visit his Clinic. Dr Jerry explained everything very nicely and patiently. Dr Jerry Smuszko helped me with my back pain also, he helped me with arthritis pain on my neck. After 3 visits to Dalhousie Family Chiropractor clinic, Dr Jerry made my back pain and neck pain much better. Dr Jerry also helped me with financial situations as well. The Staff are very nice and they’re always there to help and the best thing is, they always smile. I recommend Dalhousie Family Chiropractor clinic to anyone. Thank you, Dr Jerry and the Dalhousie Family Chiropractor staff, for making my life easier and for taking my pain away.

I have been going to see Dr. Jerry and team since April 2018. Since starting care I have found fantastic improvement with my chronic neck and back issues. You have to work at it outside the office but the team is quick to provide you with ideas of how to improve your adjustments with exercises. In response to the reviewer below me and in general, I had my neck adjusted about a year and a half ago, my neck was not the reason I came to seek treatment for. The way they did it was with such force and velocity that it sprained the ligaments in my neck. Even after this much time it is very damaged and stiff and will take many years before it even may begin to feel normal again. I don't see the reason why this such an accepted method, or even the benefits one gains from manipulating the neck. I don't believe it is ever worth the risk. There is surely many ways to do this without such 'velocity', such as tugging it with a wrapped towel if you really must.
