Felt like I was taken advantage of. When I arrived, I was wearing a mask. Dr. Louie then took the time to explain to me that masks are worthless and not even worth wearing. Because I came in wearing a mask, I thought this was very disrespectful, despite what the science says. In addition to that, Dr. Louie never took my insurance, and when I told him that I had insurance, he told me that he was a "in-network" provider and it would be covered. I thought this was weird, because how would he know that if he didn't know my insurance. I thought at the time that he knew from a previous conversation. I would later learn that this was wrong, and True Chiropractic is NOT an in-network provider for me and this was a massive misunderstanding that never should have happened. Next, before even laying a finger on me, we rushed off to do x-rays and EMG scans. When all was said and done, we rushed back to the front counter to settle up the bill. Here I felt like he was trying to take advantage my young age because he never asked for my insurance; I had to remind him that I had it. Lastly, when it came to scheduling a new appointment, Dr. Louie scheduled the next appointment over a week out. After thinking about this for about an hour, I emailed Dr. Louie saying that this was unacceptable. I cam in pain, and couldn't wait a week to be fixed. After reading this email, Dr. Louie immediately called me back saying that he could get me in later the same day. This showed me that Dr. Louie lied to be about his availability and was trying to make things more convenient for him, and not me, the patient paying him. I'm 22 and I felt like I was taken advantage of because Dr. Louie never asked me questions about what I expected from his treatment, immediately jumped to expensive imaging testing, and didn't consider me important enough to be worked on that week. I have since gone to another doctor that concluded that I had a strained back muscle without any EMG or x-ray imaging. With 2 weeks of stretching, I was back to normal and haven't felt this good in months. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to get some money back from my insurance because I had to file the claim myself, something my insurance (Healthpartners) rarely sees.

I've dwelled on posting this negative review for months. And I've come to the conclusion that it's better to warn other patients like me. I have fibromyalgia which is a chronic pain disorder. It causes pain in muscle & joints & frequently causes big knots in many muscles. I told this chiropractor many times about it. He claimed to treat lots of patients with fibromyalgia. And he said he knew a lot about it. He attempted suggesting vitamins, all of which I was taking. Asked me if I knew to restrict certain foods, I already was. But other than that, he took no care or consideration on how his treatments would affect my pain levels even after I had told him. He never asked if a new treatment would impact my plans in the upcoming week or asked if a new treatment was ok with me. There wasn’t forethought about trying something new & the effects on fibromyalgia. He wanted to schedule me twice a week. For a fibro patient, I've since learned that this is quite detrimental to my entire wellbeing. Any time I tried to put off an appointment or skip scheduling it, they acted like I was neglecting my treatment. After a few adjustments, I had to explain how my previous Chiropractor adjusted my neck. Dr. Wing wouldn't do it. I went back in tears one day after the adjustment because he hadn't gotten my neck adjusted & it hurt worse. He still wouldn't change his method. Then I figured I wasn't explaining it well. I had my previous Chiropractor call him & explain how to adjust my neck. Guess what. He still refused to change his method or angle to help me in any way shape or form & somehow decided it was better to leave me in pain. I guess Chiropractors don't take the Hippocratic Oath? This refusal to treat my neck the way I requested has left me with lasting muscle pain & has hindered other adjustments from being made today & it’s been over a year since I left True Chiropractic. I had to purchase a package deal, so I used up the rest of my appointments just living with nerves so badly pinched that my ears turned bright red, and at the end of Dr Wing's treatment, my face had started turning red and splotchy halfway through the day, things were turning very bad under his care and he wouldn't change with feedback from me, the patient, and not even from his colleague, my previous Chiropractor. I couldn't go back to my previous Chiropractor because I moved out of that state. At the end of my treatment with him, he decided he should put pressure on knots in my shoulder muscles to release them & help adjustments. Only he decided not to release the knots all the way. With fibromyalgia, this causes knots to tighten up worse than before. Doing that left my shoulders & arms crippled & in intense pain for 2 weeks. I still had trouble with my shoulders after 6 months. Currently, because he wouldn’t adjust my neck the way it needed to be adjusted, I have lasting problems in the right side, the direction he refused to adjust, and right now I’m in my 3rd week of cervical vertigo caused by a tightness in my neck. Despite my attempts at stretching & yoga, the damage persists. My current chiropractor & doctors are working to relieve this, but this bout of vertigo is directly related to how Dr. Wing left my neck by not listening to or applying my feedback even with help from my old chiropractor. So, if you have chronic pain. Don't see Dr Wing. He isn't open to feedback or change based on what your needs are. He goes only by his book & everyone else is wrong. He has no clue, or care or consideration for what his random treatment choices will leave on someone with chronic pain. And he definitely has no idea what fibromyalgia really is. If he did, he might have had a clue about the pain his treatments were leaving me in.

Dr. Jason Wing of True Chiropractic is excellent. His practice focuses on restoring the neurology of the body so that it can function properly. I have a medical condition in the muscular dystrophy family, and currently use a wheelchair to get around in addition to several other associated complications. Over the past 3+ years, Jason has been able to straighten my spine almost completely (about 1”). Traditional MD’s said this would never happen... In addition, my breathing and speech have greatly improved, while my coughing has dramatically reduced. Oh, and my allergies completely disappeared! Jason has spent a lot of extra time to educate me on the process being used and does regular progress scans to assess how my body is adapting to the adjustments. Thanks to Jason, I am in the process of getting my life back. I highly recommend True Chiropractic!

True Chiropractic is a great treatment facility. Other chiropractors simply cracked my back and neck and sent me on my way with a list of stretches. Occasionally they eased my pain on a very temporary basis. I have been going to True Chiropractic for about 18 months now and I will never go anywhere else. Dr. Wing took the time to get x-rays and other imaging to properly diagnose my back pain. I have been successfully managing my back and neck pain with the knowledgeable care of Dr. Wing. True Chiropractic was very up front with me that they do not submit to health insurance and that would be my responsibility to submit the detailed billings they provide.
