Dr. Rui has helped my mom with work injuries. He is very caring and takes his time. Couldn’t be any happier with the results that I have seen. The staff is very friendly, caring and they make you feel welcome.

In relation to Dr. Amorim, chiropractor and clinic owner. 1) He was non-transparent with me about the costs (I was not paying out of pocket as an MVA). I asked him about the cost of each appointment, and he told me it was $55. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was actually double, when I received a statement from my insurance for what he claimed. 2) At my first appointment, he had me fill out a form, that I thought was my initial assessment form, that you fill out at every new clinic you go to, only to find out he decided to have me fill out a Disability form for my insurance, which he receives $200 out of my total allotted money from. I did not authorize for a Disability form to be filled out on my behalf, and he did not discuss this with me. He merely said something along the lines of "fill this out so that I can learn more about what you need help with." 3) He charged the same for a 10 - 15 minute appointment with him, and a 10-15 minute appointment with him and the physiotherapist. The form of charge is unethical, not to mention the fact that my appointment was so short. 4) He diagnosed me with a condition that I did not have, without diagnostic test, causing me to think I have something that I don't, which was very stressful. 5) The physiotherapist that I saw one time did not conduct an assessment for me, had me engage in things that physically hurt me, and was overall unprofessional. There were other issues, but I think this paints a clear picture. After seeing him for a couple of months, I had the same issues I had to start with. I feel that in addition to Dr. Amorim's non-transparency, and unethical code of conduct, his treatment plan is enough so that you feel slightly better, but not enough that there are long-term benefits, but only short term.

We started coming to Physiomed Maple about 4 years ago when my then 7 year old daughter suffered a knee injury. Dr. Rui Amorim and his team got her back to normal activities as well as her competitive dance with great success. Witnessing such positive results I decided to start receiving treatments here myself. I had sustained traumatic injuries from a MVA years ago, which have left me with sever back pain and other problems. Having been to quite a few other clinics before with not much achieved, I had the belief that nothing could help me but surgery, which I was actually in line for. To my amazement, Dr. Amorim's treatments have been able to improve my mobility and flexibility, at the same time reduce pain. I was practically walking on the lateral side of my feet when I started, and now my stability and balance have greatly improved. Dr. Amorim has got me better than my surgeon had expected and I was spared from the scheduled ankle surgery. Now my son has also become a patient of the clinic. Dr. Amorim has offered help whenever issues come up. He is patient and always there to assist and encourage. My kids love each and every visit. He has also prescribed orthotics to improve our postures and various conditions we have, as well as individualized exercise programs to help strengthen and condition our body which reduces the risk of injuries. Dr. Amorim is highly knowledgeable. He has always been effective and clear when communicating with us about our treatments. The level of chiropractic care and customer service we have received are exceptional. His passion shines through with the dedication and expertise he's shown. He genuinely wants to see his patients progress and get well. And we do feel better each time we walk out of his office. We look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Amorim and his team, knowing that we are in good and capable hands, towards our way to better health.

I have been a patient at PhysioMed Maple since 2012. The multiple services that have been suggested and provided along with the treatments I have received have been nothing more than successful. The staff are very friendly and tranquil and provide efficient service with great expertise. I began to see Dr. Amorim a few months after emergency surgery and discovery of IBS/Crohn’s Disease. His treatments have been the most effective, along with his effective suggestions on home treatments that I can perform to keep optimal health for my unhealthy gut at the time. Wow, great friendly staff. Rui is a blessing to me and my wife marina. I came to rui with severe knee pain. After initially diagnosing me, he attacked my knee with several methods of treatment (knowing well I wanted to avoid surgery 100%). And considering it’s bone spurs in the knee, surgery is the only end all solution. But I can honestly say it’s been a long time since I’ve had any issues, and the treatment has allowed me to pursue my goals or running a 5k (which will be March 31st) and compete in amateur powerlifting. And thanks to the blessing that his Rui, this is my year Thanks Rui, God bless you for what you’ve done for us.

Dr Rui is the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly skilled chiropractor I have ever visited. I will never see another as long as I'm in the GTA. I used to visit massage therapists, as I was skeptical of chiro treatment, but not any more! He combines deep tissue with adjustment and acupuncture, depending on your diagnosis but he always miraculously takes care of my injury. I've referred my friends, partner, parents, all whom have become devoted patients. His care, and thoroughness, paired with the friendly welcoming atmosphere provided by his staff, are second to none.
