I've done a few visits over the spring, and they do a great job cracking my neck and back muscles, but the reason why I cannot give this place a 5 star review was when I first visited, I've been having problems with my right shoulder. I had an $600 MRI done, and showed the results to the doctor, he gave me a few exercises to do, but they haven't fixed my shoulder problem. He then told me to google other exercises. I'll be looking somewhere else to fix my shoulder muscle problems.

Just finished my second appointment here. I met with Dr. Smith for my intake and first adjustment yesterday and then Dr. Comes for my second adjustment today. Both were great. They got me to crack in places I didn't know could crack! Haha. I'm a heavyset short framed woman right now, and never once did they make me feel guilty about my weight or blame my back pain on my weight or mention my weight at all. I know my weight makes it worse, and I appreciated that they didn't feel like they needed to tell me what I already knew. They just worked with me to make me feel better as best they could. Front office staff is friendly too. No long waiting. Lobby has a TV on mute, music playing overhead, some children's toys, drinking fountains, and free WiFi if you ask for the password. Happy to have found them.

I was injured here, resulting in chronic, moderate-to-severe low back pain for the past year and a half that even physical therapy hasn't relieved. This was an area of my back that had never given me problems before. After the initial injury I followed up two more times for further care over the span of a few months, which just made it worse. I should have never gone back after the initial injury. Not a fan of chiropractic care after this. I do believe it's helpful in many cases (it was for me at other times) but the risk of injury is too great.

The care providers here are amazing. I came in after having a couple other places not actually care or properly adjust me. Upon my initial exam and xray I was immediately referred to a neurologist and the xray was sent to a radiologist so they could work on getting me the help I need. I can say they are by far the best place I've been and there attitudes are amazing as well. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. I have already as well. They actually do adjust your they listen and care about your journey to a healthier body. The front desk staff are very friendly happy and great to work with as well. I just returned to seeing Dr. Jason Smith because of my first experience this month with a sciatica that has proven exceptionally painful. I forgot how incredibly knowledgeable Dr. Smith is. I was a patient years ago when their clinic was getting started when I was having annoying shin splints with my running that kept recurring year after year after year. He and his staff were incredibly friendly. He gave me great insights and spotted some imbalances in my pelvis and we began treatment. When it was over I returned to my running regiment...and the shin splints were gone and have never returned!! Now he's given me incredible advice on my sciatica and lumbar scoliosis. I especially love that his treatment doesn't just include adjustments but also nutrition and supplementation as well as guidance on physical therapy and strength training and how to balance them. He's a vital component now to my physical health and a resource I'll return to. Thanks, Dr. Smith!

My husband was recently in a car accident and needs chiropractic care. We chose this office because of all the great reviews here on Google. We were sadly disappointed. We gave them two stars because everyone was very friendly and the initial exam was very thorough. However once they actually did an adjustment we were very unimpressed. We saw both doctors on separate visits and both of them merely pressed on my husbands back twice without actually adjusting it and then cracked his neck and sent us on our way. We have been to excellent chiropractors in the past and know what a good thorough adjustment should look and feel like. This was FAR from thorough or good. Don't go to this office unless you want friendly conversation in place of an adjustment.

I've have chronic back pain for about 15 years now. I've tried everything from pain meds, shoe inserts, accupuncture and physical therapy but nothing had any long lasting results. With most places, the pain returned by the time I got home from the clinic. I've alway been a bit skeptical about chiropractic adjustments but I figured it was worth a try. My back pain seems to originate from my hip and goes up my back to my neck. During my first exam with Dr. Smith, he immediately noticed that one of my legs seemed shorter than the other. He did an adjustment and said that my hips were misalinged which was making my leg seem shorter. After the adjustment, I immediately noticed that I was feeling better than I've ever felt. I remained pain free for most of the day. Because I've had this pain for so long, I wouldn't think that it would take a few appointments to get everything right.

I injured my lower back about 10 years ago from carrying my child in his carseat. Been having lower back pain and sciatic pain down my left leg on and off ever since. Whenever I get the pain, it was like my life is over, it's that painful. Got many massages, saw a family doctor once, a Chiropractor once, nothing seemed to help. Pain just getting worse. I was so scare that I might end up in a wheelchair, but haven't given up yet. I did google search and saw a lot of great reviews about this place and decided to make an appt praying for it to be the right decision. When I got there everyone was super friendly and welcoming. My sister recommended that I try McCarron Lake Chiropractic after I was rear ended while driving at highway speed almost 7 months ago. I went there the day after the accident and have been received quality care since day one. As needed, they have made quality referrals for me to get an MRI, to see a neurologist and to participate in a back and neck rehab program. Very genuine people. Once you come through their doors, you are like family. In 2009, I came to McCarron Lake Chiropractic barely able to walk, stand or lay down. I was in a pretty bad way from an accident. Dr. Dronnen took me in right away and treated me as if I had been coming there for years. She was very honest with me about the care I would need and did her best to get me back healthy as soon as possible. 3-4 months in I was starting to get better and the inevitable happened. another accident. Just like the first time Dr. Dronnen and Dr. Smith did all they could to get me better. Right now although I am doing much better then I was then I still come to see the good people of McCarron Lake Chiropractic. I highly recommend for people to visit my two favorite doctors. They don't discuss out of pocket costs. The charge when I use my insurance is higher than the $40 I was quoted if I did not have insurance. The fact that my insurance doesn't cover that much was never disclosed to me as it is supposed to be. I also attended many appointments without any discussion that I was not covered for certain services under my insurance. The first and only bill I received was a final notice after I had a bill well over $200. I then had went for an appointment on new insurance one time and my bill was almost half of my original bill that I had multiple visits on. Somehow I got this bill right away though. So why was it I never received previous bills. I have to pay more out of pocket using my insurance than if I went in and used none. This to me is sneaky business practices to say the least as all healthcare is supposed to disclose costs to you before services. No costs to me were ever discussed at any appointments nor was I asked for any co-pays let alone sent any bills over a two month period untill a final notice was sent with a substantial bill. I didn't have an issue recieving a welcome card from them or my other bills so why didn't I recieve any bills after my first couple of visits or told I was being charged a higher price using insurance than if I came in with no insurance. Very sneaky.

We have had great success here and the Dr's have treated many different issues from, RA symptoms, chronic ear infections with my 4 year old and acid reflux in my infant. Having never had a massage before I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was friendly and helpful and made the visit comfortable. I was looking to try sports massage to reduce some tightness and reduce future injuries from triathlon training. I'm not sure about the long term success yet because it's too early but my upper back (which I asked them to focus on) felt much better in after the massage and I definately plan on going back.

I am leaving 3 reviews since I had the experience of being seen by all 3 of the Chiropractors at this practice. Dr. Comes is Phenomenal, she is one of the best Chiropractors I have ever seen in my life. She takes the time to feel the alignment in your spine and neck, loosens your muscles a bit and does her adjustments. Truly a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend! Dr. Dronen is very similar to Dr. Comes, but my preference was for the later. Dr. Smith on the other hand is one of the WORST Chiropractors in the business. AVOID at all costs unless you enjoy someone that treats your body like your not a human being. He does little to no inspection of your alignment and goes straight for an adjustment without even knowing where to adjust. If you have back problems, he will most definitely make the problems worse. All in all my appointment with him lasted around 30 seconds and the progress I made with Dr. Comes seemed to have vanished into an abyss. So Dr. Comes 5/5 Dr. Dronen 4/5 Dr. Smith 0.5/5

I’m pretty new to this place, since April 26th, 2018, to be exact, to get my radiating neck pain taken care. I don’t easily trust health care provider. From experience, I haven’t encountered sincere HCPs who don’t see their patients as prescription number. But, with Dr. Jason, I have trust on him to treat me and therefore, I’ve followed his treatment plan on my pain problem. However, today I didn’t experience a fair tereatment that I supposed to receive: an hour of holistic treatment that has been set since I’ve got into a car accident on June 9th, 2018. That one hour treatment consists of 15 mins adjustment (doctor’s encounter), 15 mins of STENS, and 30 mins of massage. Today, I made appointments for 2 patients: me and my 5 years old son who was in auto accident as well. Yes, we came 5 minutes late. Then, we went to see the Doctor and bot of us were seen at the same time. Then, after we’re done, we had to wait at the front desk where the receptionist was on the phone for like 5 minutes. Another wasted time while I was waiting for massage, one patient who just finished treatment asked the receptionist to make future appointment (another 5 mins). Finally, she called me for the massage but I was asking what about the STENS. She only answered to straight for the massage. At the massage, the therapist told me that I would only receive a 15 mins massage, which supposed to be a 30 mins. I told him yes we came late, but only like 5 mins. The significance, I explained that there were 2 patients: me and my son who got adjusted by the Doctor at the same time. That means, my son didn’t get his own allocated time as a “patient”. But, it’s thrown under my 15 mins “allocated time”. After 15 mins massage, I went to the front desk and asked for the 15 mins STENS and she just said “no, we’re closing” and just gave me the treatment plan’s paper to sign. I was lost in words and trying to comprehend the bad encounter I’ve just experienced. I came to realization that I only received a 30 mins encounters out of an hour treatment plan. I didn’t receive the 15 mins STENS and missed the 15 mins massage. That without counting my son as a different patient as in the book. If they want to honor times, please do it BOTH ways and FAIR. I recalled, I was waiting for 20 mins for my appointment on May 8th, 2018. At that time, I went there for my radiating neck pain before the car accident. That means I’ve to pay a co-pay upfront before the treatment. I had to tell her that I had to leave after waiting for 20 minutes since I had another appointment in Minneapolis, and rescheduled it to the May 10th and the co-pay I paid it on that day would be used towards the next appointment (10th). I came to the appointment on the 10th which I’ve paid the co-pay. As the doctor asked me how I was doing, I told him that I was okay, just a little unfortunate to get into a fender-bender the day before. He tried to do adjustment on my neck, but my neck failed it since my nerve muscled tightened up as still in the shock-state, after less than 24 hrs post accident. Since the SNS was so dominating at that visit, it caused my body rejected the adjustment. It’s beyond the plan, but pretty much I paid a copay for nothing, sad to say. This may sound as a petty aspect of a treatment plan, but it really affected my perceived opinion that’s become lower that the promised encounter and made me hesitate to go there. Objectively, the doctors are great there, but the time management need not to be overlapped and rushed. There are many good chiropractors now, as I respect them more than medical doctors, for their comprehensive and holistic approaches. But, personally, I would want to go to the ones with less waiting and if patients come late one time, please do remember that Patients wait, too. Cut them some slacks and give them reminders, instead of cutting off some significant time of promised treatment. Everyone’s time has same importance, although might not has the same money value.

Came here after injuring my lower back when I bent down to pick up my 22-month old child. I was able to get same day appointment. Staff was professional and thorough. Dr. Dronen was able to assess and treat my back issue so that I now have more mobility and less pain. Everybody explained everything clearly to me as they were treating me. They answered my questions thoroughly. I have more treatments coming up, and I'm hopeful that after those treatments I'll be back to my regular self. Staff took great care with all Covid-19 safety protocols by disinfecting everything.

This was my first time at McCarron Lake Chiropractic. After searching for the right chriropractor for a very long time, I went there upon recommedation of a friend and I finally found, "the one". I wanted a doctor that really listened to my issues and that would help me create a plan to address those issues. Not a doctor that just adjusted both hips and sent me on my way. I also had a massage, which was a little slice of heaven. The support staff is very helpful and the fact that they take most insurance was icing on the cake! I definately recommend this clinic.
