I found fergus family chiropractic and wellness on a Google search about 4 months ago and thought I'd try them out. I had been struggling with lower back pain for a long time and thought it was because of my multiple sclerosis. In hopes to relieve some pain I thought chiropractic care may be the way to go. They responded to my email very quickly and invited me to their clinic for a free information session to learn about the care I'd receive and why I may need it. The session was so informative and really helped me understand what chiropractic care was all about. I was so excited to begin my care. I got an xray to pinpoint my exact problem area(s) and found there were more problems than I thought. My ms was not a factor in my spinal pain (or at least not all of it) turns out a major issue was my neck and not my lower back. I had immediate pain relief with my first adjustment. I can't tell you how thrilled I am about that. The staff there are so genuine and kind you really feel at home there. I am so glad I found them.

Honestly I was hesitant about going to a chiropractor because I thought that was just something people my parent's age did, but turns out it's really great for teenagers and kids too! TLDR: Great place, but prepare for a costly commitment. Disclaimer: This is the only chiropractic office I've ever been to, so I don't have much of a comparison basis, but here are some facts. People: Staff are a very lovely and accommodating. They take spinal subluxation and prescribed treatment very seriously. Atmosphere: This is a family-ran business, with an explicit Christian vibe about it. Process: You will be given a posture assessment, and an x-ray. Findings will be discussed after an education session explaining impacts of spinal subluxation and the benefits of targeted chiropractic treatments aimed at correcting it. You will be presented with a personalized treatment plan of regular visits (I can't be sure but I believe a 3-visit per week starting frequency, gradually decreasing to 2 visits and then 1, is fairly typical for those with posture deviations detected on x-rays). The plan may be a bit flexible, but there's an implicit obligation associated with agreeing to it. Cost: $45 per visit (~5 minutes). Following the treatment plan amounts to over $4000 of spending in the first year. Automation: Dongle swipe on entry to sign-in, automated appointment reminders, emailed invoices. Parking: There is parking at the back of the building (as well as on the street, in front). Hours: For those wanting to stop by on the way to work, morning appointments are available before standard business hours. Fridays and Weekends are off the schedule. Benefits: I suffer from pain the root cause of which cannot be addressed by chiropractic care, hence it is difficult for me to judge the extent of direct benefits. I treat this like I do massages; it won't harm, and may actually help.

I have been going to Dr. Jim Kaminski for 13 years. I had a bad Sciatica due to a badly herniated disc and had much pain in my lower back. Dr. Jim had made many adjustments from the start and my back began to feel normal with no pain and allowed me to walk without pain and sleep without a lot pain. TESTIMONIAL OF A LONG-TIME PATIENT I have had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Jim Kaminski for close to 18 years. During my 45 years previous to this I had been treated by 8 other chiropractors. I’ve stuck with Dr. Kaminski because, by far, his care has been hugely superior to all the others combined. My spine was not in good shape when I first started being treated by him – together with some of the secondary health problems which come from an improperly aligned spine. During the first few years the improvements were quite noticeable as these secondary issues disappeared and eventually we got to a well-maintained spine. Dr. Kaminski doesn’t just treat and bill; he takes a personal interest in each patient with several private consultations and x-rays per year. Additionally, he offers emergency care at no extra cost to regular patients and I have received this type of care in his home, outside of office hours, on several occasions. I have had numerous falls and injuries which resulted in 3 ruptured discs in my back, a repeated work-place injury which resulted in arthritis in my upper spine, and one injury several years ago, which resulted in degenerative disc disease. Without the excellent, regular care of Dr. Kaminski it is quite possible that I would currently be in a wheelchair. However, in spite of these numerous injuries and diseases and years of earlier abuse to my spine, I walk, work, and participate in other activities without the pain and trouble I’m sure I would have had without Dr. Kaminski’s care. In addition to his excellent skill, I have found him to be of superior moral character in all his dealings (I used to have a home repair business and was hired several times by him and he was always a wonderful customer). I’ve come to not only appreciate him as a professional medical provider, but both he and his lovely wife, Deborah, as friends of mine. They are just that kind of people. I’d be hard pressed to recommend any health-care professional above him and I’ve had some excellent ones in other fields. I urge anyone reading this to give him a try. He offers an introductory package worth about $250.00 for a token payment of $35.00 (last time I checked). I’ve recommended many friends, family, and acquaintances to him and many of them have been blessed by his consistent, exemplary care. I trust you’ll give him an opportunity to improve your health.

I have been going to Fergus Family Chiropractic Wellness Centre for a year and a half now.They are Super nice. When i started, i could hardly turn my head, i hold tension and stress in my shoulders. I now can turn my head side to side, I hardly get headaches and to see for lane changes when driving is amazing.I highly recommend going, after some time you dont realize how limited your movements are, then after an adjustment you feel light and limber and able to move easier.

We've being going here since September. First it was just my son and I, because my daughter who was born with ASD, refused to go near Dr.s and didn't want an adjustment. But she has watched us get adjusted for months. My son and I feel great, and after months of my daughter not sleeping I broke down and decided she was just going to have to deal with it. Dr.Jim and the staff were so understanding and patient with us. While she wasn't thrilled with the first adjustment, it only took 3 times before she was comfortable and willing to get adjusted.
