My wife got injured at work and WSIB sent her here for physio, 6 months later and she still has pain and the kinesologist told her its not going to stop and she has to learn how to work with it. Id take a hard pass on this place.

Ok, awesome set up, awesome idea and approach having all services in one place for mainly work related injury. Then it goes flat. The idea looks amazing on paper, but so does communism. Is just like a commune of specialists. Many don’t carry their own weight and are under qualified to work there. Too many hands in your “pot. Leaves you confused and stressed out during a difficult time. Then when they mess up, the blame is on YOU. This can be fairly troublesome considering most are going for work related issues. Altum is chosen and paid for by WSIB/employer. This is a conflict of interest, bias and a threat to ones livelihood when made to look “defiant” or “uncooperative” when you have to call out their incompetences and explain that you aren’t some product that our employers said to get fixed as they do make you feel like. My injury is incredibly visible and painful, yet they are still able to make you feel like a worthless fraud like those who make the system a nightmare to deal with. Don’t take their intimidation. Simply contact your local political reps and the Minister of labour to express your concerns about these companies and their pawns treating hard working tax payers like an cheap object. Especially the foreign companies who don’t have an ounce of respect for our human rights laws after receiving millions of our tax dollars to upgrade. Health professionals are suppose to advocate for their patients, not make them feel like a criminal after they fail to deliver a quality service and leave the person feeling more damaged. Dr Baine does have your best interests in mind and his staff puts on the act when he is there. Soon as he is gone, it’s a whole different ballgame

Altum Health is in my option the best physiotherapy centre, I have gone to multiple facilities over the years and never received the care, dedication and support in my recovery that I have received with the amazing team here at Altum health. When I first came here I didn’t think recovery was an option for me, that I broken and would get better, but with hard work and the support program designed for me by my occupational therapist, kinesiologist and psychologist , I was successful with my recovery. The wonderful staff in the front office welcome you with a smile and Greet you by name. They are full service facility and I would recommend anyone needing physiotherapy, psychological treatment to trust the team at Altum health to get you back to being you. Thank you Altum health for helping me be me again! ????????????

I attended Altum in Feb 2012 for 6 weeks as a test case sent from Veterans Affairs. I was the first Veteran there and they were super and had an excellent program. I am very pleased with them and the help they gave me, in pain management, and physical strengthening. Thank you Altum

I was sent to ALTUM through WSIB after a workplace injury left me with a pretty serious concussion. After reading some of the more negative reviews I was very nervous but was intent on keeping an open mind. The negative reviews do not reflect how truly great the neurology program is here. I had a care team of an OT (Erin), PT (Eric), KIN (Lindsey and Ed), and therapist (Maria). Each one was professional, caring, and kind. Recovery involved a lot of ups and downs and my team was there for me supporting me every step of the way. I completed a 12 week long program and would highly recommend ALTUM to anyone experiencing a concussion. I learned so much about concussions, coping techniques, and myself. I use many of the coping techniques still to this day and hope to continue to use them throughout my life. I am so happy with my experience, the care I received here was invaluable to my full recovery. I can't thank ALTUM and my team enough.

I first was referred to altum health approximately 2 years ago with a complicated injury. It has been a long stretch of learning, hard work, determination, perseverance and I know i wouldn't have been able to achieve the progressions I've made if it wasn't for their amazing staff and team of workers that personalized my individual care/experience. I've dealt with a wide array of the staff here, it's amazing to see people invest so much time and effort into the well being, care and recovery of someone as if it were their own loved 1. From their mental health staff, to their physical therapists and even their receptionists have made this the most pleasant experience during the process of my recovery. I sincerely from the bottom of my heart thank everyone on board here at this facility for the amazing job they're doing and have been for me! You know who you all are! This clinic top’s the worst clinics in Ontario I don’t know why they don’t call it WSIB clinic their mindset is not about their patients it’s only about what WSIB tells there doctors at this clinic, it’s very sad that this Clinic chooses not to listen two other doctors referrals or exclamations on their patients health or injuries this clinic is all about pushing people through the system and trying to get them back to work even that their injuries are permanent they still ignore doctors orders or MRIs and only do what WSIB says I’m not too sure how WSIB knows what’s best for their clients when they’re only an insurance company not doctors this clinic is a joke and the people that work there have no idea how to do their job and have no respect of their clients they are very rude and obnoxious to their visitors. Since my injury I attend this clinic for a short while even though that I have a surgeon tell me I need surgery this clinic is tell me that I will heal and I’m able to go back to full duties if you’re looking for a good recovery and someone you can rely on moving forward with your injury keep away from this clinic.

This is a great physiotherapy place Lindsey and Mike are absolutely amazing people they go above and beyond there regular duties to make sure you as a person are ok they will help absolutely any way possible to get you a great recovery I suggest these 2 people. I had medical issues besides my therapy and they both were great help to accommodate and help me thought my illness. I would definitely go back here and ask for these 2. Everyone else there are very polite and great people as well and helpful. I used another physiotherapy before altum health and they were a joke big difference here u accually get help.

They make sure you understand the exercises and explain and help very kindly the importance and make sure the stretches etc are done properly which definitely helped my healing process . Helpful, patient, consistently pleasant reception.Previsit guidelines and screening.Safe distance seating, everyone masked. 1st Assessment with physio.and surgeon went well...options for treatment, time to decide, questions answered, timelines for care outlined. I went here for concussion treatment with severe noise and light sensitivities (among other issues). This place takes a cookie cutter approach. Waiting room has tvs, radio and multiple admin stuff ... super loud and bright. Then the treatment area (also know as the big top by employees) is a very busy and loud space filled with people and practitioners. They do have private treatment rooms but they are apparently all in use. During my assessment I was told I needed a chiropractor, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. Instead I was given a kinesiologist, OT and a physiotherapist who was reluctant to physically treat me, despite the tremendous neck pain I was experiencing. The OT Jen was not an empathetic person. She would ask me how I was doing and when I would tell her, she would suggest I quit the program (among other nasty comments). The kinesiologist, on multiple occasions was too busy to work with me, despite having appointments booked. During these occasions I would be put into a classroom area, with many other clients, where an unprepared staff member would use powerpoint presentations and videos (remember light and noise sensitivities) to instruct (or fill time depending how you look at it). If you have a concussion stay far away from this place. I moved on to CBI Kitchener Victoria and worked with a caring, empathetic staff who created a custom treatment plan and who really care about people and their recoveries. They have quiet waiting rooms and treatment areas and even a quiet gym to work in.
