I have been going to the life lounge with Dr. Brad for approximately one month. I have found the staff there very knowledgable and go out of their way to help you. They always have a smile on your face which is it at times very helpful when I am in so much pain.I find Dr. Brad to be very knowledgable and helpful he seems to be the only Doctor who would sit down and explain everything to you, what your problems are, And what we need to do to rectify the problem.He came up with a plan and a timeline we both agreed to it and off we went. When I started the plan I could barely walk 5 feet without pain from my sciatica and lower back. It’s just been a month and I went shopping without a walker or cane yesterday and I’m actually thinking about jumping on my motorcycle and going for a ride.???? Dr. Brad said to me he would not except 98% he wants me to be at 100% and I feel that we are heading in the right direction. I went from feeling that my life was headed in a downward spiral of pain ,pills and surgeries now after only one month I am thinking I’m going to enjoy my retirement and travel ,hike the highland trails. I have long been a believer in the value of chiropractic care and had been treated for years on a maintenance schedule - once a month - after my initial injury was treated. My chiropractor retired in December 2019 and I went for six months without any treatment at all. Add to that, the strain of COVID-19 restrictions and less activity, by the end of June I knew I had to do something. After some research, I decided to check out Life Lounge and I was immediately impressed by Dr. Deakin and his staff. Nerve scans and X-rays were first up and then Dr. Deakin spent an entire session going over my X-rays with me, explaining in detail what he was seeing. Interestingly, without me saying anything up front, he identified a 37-year old injury that caused the problem in my lower back (what led me to chiropractic treatment the first time) and a 30-year old neck injury (the result of a rear end collision on the QEW in 1990) that I hadn’t realized had caused issues. It was astounding to me that he could look at my X-rays and recognize the age of my injuries!! He then spent some time going over the treatment options with me then we scheduled a treatment for the following week, at which time I could make a decision about which option I would choose. Long story short, I chose the “Corrective Care Plan”, which, while the more expensive of the options, seemed to be best for me. At no time did I feel pressured to go that way, but knowing my body, my issues with arthritis and the damage I already had in my spine, it was a no-brainer for me. My first treatment was on July 20/20 and today, half-way through my treatment plan, my re-evaluation shows my spine to be in a much improved condition. I am totally looking forward to the final half of this treatment plan and I will DEFINITELY be returning for maintenance after all is said and done. Thank you So much Dr. Deakin, Liz and Erin!!

Very clean, nice Doctor, good looking facility HOWEVER What I didn't like or appreciate is the hard sales pitch, you are invited to come to a presentation on why you should want to see a chiropractor. After this presentation each person was taken to a back room for a 1 on 1. I sat in the waiting room as each person went to the back and then came out and signed up at the desk for services. Once it was my turn to go back I was met with another sales pitch where I was presented with 3 options that would be “good for me” sort of like a bronze silver gold. Where bronze was a pay by the visit and the gold was pay a monthly fee. I am also sure this was the same 3 options that each person had been presented before I went back to speak with the Dr. During the pitch and being given the "options" the Dr literally drew a :( : | and :) and obviously the happy face was on the most expensive monthly package. I found this quite amusing as I am in sales and this was so transparent as to what was happening and I couldn't really believe the 4 people who had gone before me had all just bought in so instantly. When I said I thought that the pay visit would be better for me it was like I was choosing some wrong option and I was shuffled to the front rather quickly to do some final paperwork. I ended up finding a different location in Burlington that I ended up liking a lot more. I am not saying that this place is bad or not to go but just prepare yourself for the hard sales similar to a gym. Edit I saw there was a response that stated I had not been to this place in two years and why would I post now? Well because I’ve told the story to friends about my unpleasant experience, and than going to another Dr. recently and receiving such a contrast in service and care motivated me to share my experience. in response to how would I know whats 'package' others signed up for I sat in the room as each person came out and the girls at the desk asked each person "so which one did you go with?" Either way I’d suggest you read all the reviews about this location before visiting. Edit 2 Deciding to look a bit deeper over 30% of the 5 star reviews are those users ONLY review, hmm wonder if they had some sort of motivation to do so ?

So far I have noticed an amazing relief in back pain, and it only takes 5-10 minutes out of my day when I go in. There are some positive aspects to Dr. Deakin and his staff at this location. Starting with the front desk staff, Liz was always welcoming, kind and friendly to speak with. Mr Deakin was also welcoming and kind at moments and seemed to be knowledgable in his craft. When you walk in the office, you can see several posters and quotes on the walls sharing the importance of caring for oneself holistically (mental/physically). For a place that stresses the importance of serenity and calmness, I routinely found myself leaving the office feeling anything but that. I would often leave the office feeling frustrated, challenged or even insulted by Mr. Deakin until I decided the visits were causing more stress than they were relieving. It seems that the COVID-19 pandemic has been rather difficult on Mr. Deakin as this was his favourite topic of discussion. I found my time getting my back adjusted was mostly spent talking about/debating Mr Deakin's personal opinions. He would often bring up topics such as vaccine mandates, government overreach or even his opinion on what my own career should look like in the future. While I fully respect the ideas/opinions of each individual, a visit to a "calm and serene" chiropractor is not where I expected to be challenged or debated on these topics. On my last visit to the office, Mr. Deakin felt it necessary to insult my intelligence, in what I am sure he thought was a joking manner. I am sure many people will enjoy Mr. Deakin and his banter on freedom, government or whatever else is in his own personal political agenda, but for those of you who are looking for mental/physical well being through chiropractor, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Two words! LIFE SAVER. I have never done a google review BUT I can walk without pain SO yes this is THE best place. I went to see Dr. Brad when I could barely walk because the pain was so intense. Years I have lived with lower back pain. Walking hurt. Standing hurt. Breathing hurt. Laying down hurt. ALWAYS HURTING. Then I met who I call Dr Miracle Worker AND OMG! After a few spinal decompression sessions and seeing him twice a week, I work out five days a week (and I mean like CROSS FIT), I can stand throughout a concert WITHOUT sitting down. I can lift up my kids and dance! And it only took me going to a Complimentary consultation...I was skeptical. Man, was I ever. Always have been and now I regret not trying years sooner. Don’t make THAT mistake. IF you have any issues with your joins, back or whatever PLEASE see Dr. Brad!

Oddly enough after seeing my family doctor for severe pain, he told me to see a chiropractor. I am new in the area and got very lucky finding Dr. Brad and Liz. I was experiencing pain everywhere with very painful knees (had surgery on the left knee), cramping that kept me awake nights in my hands and much more. After my first appointment I honestly was sceptical but was willing to try anything. After my xrays and consultation I decided to tell my son about the clinic and Dr. Brad. Dr. Brad is so enthusiastic and willing to teach you all you need to know to make an educated decision about your treatment. After my 10th treatment I realized that I was sleeping through the night with NO MORE PAIN in my hands. I no longer have tingling and numb fingers!! I am a believer now and can't wait to see what else he can do for me and my son. I'm holding him to his word that I'll feel years younger, now if he could make me look younger he'd be perfect! Before I started chiropractic care i had extreme lower back and hip pain that was kept coming back every couple weeks. I missed school and sports due to pain and inability to move without increasing pain. I also couldn't go a day without constantly thinking about it. Now that I'm 7 months into my treatment I almost never have any pain whatsoever, and if i feel something small if resolves itself within the day. Also i have seen extreme improvement in the scoliosis in my spine, which has improved about 50%. The treatment has greatly improved my life which was being affected from back pain for the last 3 year's.

I have been a patent of Dr. Deakin four about six weeks and am seeing him for chronic pelvic pain due to a misalignment of L4/L5. My treatments are a combination of mechanical decompression and physical adjustments and it has helped reduce the pain so far. Dr. Deakin's assesments are very thorough and include nerve testing and digital x-rays so your results are trackable and tangible. Highly recommended!!

Great staff developed a comfortable setting and helped me feel at home right away. Dr Brad is a top notch professional. The crew behind the desk keep things organized and make finding time for appointments stress free and convenient. They also provide wonderful clarity with the payment packages they offer. Had a few motorcycle and hockey accidents that left my lower back feeling pretty helpless. I was told I could never squat or deadlift again. Since going here I have noticed changes in my posture, the way I carry myself, my physical ability in the gym and I have been regaining strength both physically and mentally. I personally drive over an hour and a half for my appointments and I have no regrets. Love the team and love the help.

I'm so lucky to have found Dr. Brad at the Ireland House Applefest. I had spent years in horrible pain after an auto accident. Walking even a small distance would cause terrible pain and limping. Lying in bed at night would be painful. After less than six months of treatment from Dr. Brad, I no longer had any pain at all. For instance, I just went to the Scenic Caves at Collingwood, walked all around the caves and park area twice and went ziplining and had no pain! It used to be that I would not be able to walk around Mapleview Mall without limping and being filled with pain. I wish I had found Dr. Brad years ago after my car accident. The spinal decompression combined with chiropractic treatment did wonders to alleviate my mother's sciatica pain. Dr Brad's initial assessment was consistent with the multiple doctors that had seen my mom previously, however this treament was the only to show improvement. Dec 2018 I experienced a sudden onset of ringing in my ears. Countless appointments with professionals in the field, a multitude of tests, and trying all manner of prescriptions and OTC medications were all to no avail. The best anyone could tell me is I have tinnitus for which there is no cure and I'd have to "just live with it". This spring I sought help from Dr Brad Deakin, chiropractor and director of the Life Lounge Chiropractic and Health Center in Burlington. X-rays taken in office showed clearly that both my cervical and lumber spinal regions were out of alignment. Dr Brad explained in detail how this misalignment could interfere with neural messages being sent by the brain to all parts of the body and might possibly be responsible for my sudden onset of tinnitus. With the understanding that Dr Brad doesn't specifically treat tinnitus and could not make promises to that end I decided to proceed with chiropractic treatment. Now a few short months later I can say without reservation that Dr Brad's care has resulted in a noticeable reduction in the intensity of my tinnitus. I couldn't be happier with the results to date and would without reservation rate Dr Brad Deakin as a 5 out of 5 for compassionate and effective chiropractic care.
