I am now back in running form, thanks to Dr. Geoff and the team at Health from Within Family Chiropractic Clinic! I had a terrible back sprain that had me unable to run for the past 2 years (I’m a recreational runner since 2013 but sprained my back in 2017). My right lats were so stiff, on my best days I could only handle slow runs up to 2km the most. I tried both massage therapy and physiotherapy for over 6 months each and did not really find relief beyond the next day. When I first visited Health from Within in February, I must admit I was skeptical. But after only a few sessions a noticed my back is able to move better and my pain has subsided. Then after my first month, I noticed my lats were not as stiff as a board anymore and was comfortable running on the treadmill for half an hour, 2-3 times a week. Fast forward to this past Saturday, just over 3 months since the start of my regular sessions with Dr. Geoff, I was finally able to run 10k again and at 1hr06minutes at that - pretty remarkable for a recovering runner! Sorry for the long spiel, but I felt it important to share a bit of my background and the remarkable results I am now enjoying with the help of Dr. Geoff and the HFW Family Chiropractic Clinic team. Looking forward to running a sub-1hr 10k again or better yet, a half-marathon, in the future (or a marathon even, who knows). Thanks Dr. Geoff and the HFW team!!! -Alex

Made us pay upfront for a "package" and when we asked to break it down so we could claim it to our insurance they put charges we didn't really need and even the cashier couldn't explain what was the other charges was. We ended up paying more not really as they claimed "a discount package".

Before I started with chiropractic care I was one of those people that would twist my own neck and get the back tension release bear hugs from coworkers to combat the vicious heartburn, headaches and back & neck stiffness. All that is gone now. It is hard for me to explain just how much getting regular chiropractic care helped me get through years of rotating continental shifting with very few sick days. I returned to work after surgery faster than any other coworker who had the same procedure. Chiropractic care keeps my body firing on all cylinders. I feel exponentially healthier now than before I was introduced to chiropractic. The doctors are excellent and very attentive. I will continue to be a customer for years to come.

Steals your money, stopped going for months now and have been still charging me. I have a low income and Dr Geoff is ruining my life. I've asked if I could drop the "contract" that I've signed, but if he was willing to help my health and concerns, he would absolutely drop the so called "contract" after telling him that im really struggling with financial issues. He then tries to convince me that my health is more important( of course it is) but if I can't afford it anymore then I just can't afford it anymore. Then he tells me that I have a balance to pay for the rest of the "term" other wise im going to have to pay for the monthly ive signed up for EVEN WHEN I stopped going. States that he cares about your financial issues, but CLEARLY doesn't care for your financial issues as long at the end of the day, he gets paid. He really had me convinced that money wasnt going to be an issue as long as my health was on point. What a joke. If I knew what type of person he really was, then I wouldn't have signed up at this place to begin with. I am not the type of person who would complain , but when a thousand dollars just drop out of your pocket for absolutely a greedy person, then it's an issue especially when it's not affordable for me.

After my first son was born it took.months to be able to walk and carry him. 3.5 years later we met the team after my sciatic pain returned while.pregnant with my second child. I have been a patient at the clinic for 2 years now. I was having pain in my neck and lower back and was having difficulty walking. Severe pain in my left leg. After Dr. Geoff's initial consultation he advised that while he would not be able to make me 100% again he could definitely improve my quality of life. He sure did that. I went from having great difficulty walking, severe pain in my back and neck to the following accomplishments: down hill skiing at Whistler,BC, entering Burlington's Moon in June Walk/Run (finished 1st in my age group, 60 yrs plus) stacking 7 chords of at my cottage. Most of all, felling great. If you have any of the symptoms that I had stop by for an evaluation You won't regret it. The entire staff is awesome.

When I was nabbed in the mall over two years ago by an associate of Dr. Geoff's, I was doubtful. I really didn't think I had anything wrong with me except the occasional back seizing and tingling in my fingers which I would not have even thought had anything to do with the spine. I then learned all about head forward posture and the direction that my body was heading in and the x-ray would confirm it. I must admit that I was still unsure for the first little bit of care but that all has since changed. In the past two years, the tingling has disappeared, that happened almost immediately, my back has not seized and even though working on the computer is part of my everyday life, I feel like I am standing tall. And you should see my x-rays now!! I feel great and even when I don't it doesn't last long. The healing is incredible. I have learned so much from Dr. Geoff and Dr. Lynne not only as my chiropractors but as my running coaches being part of the running clubs held at the clinic. I would not have been able to cross the finish line at my 10K and 6 months later my half marathon had it not been for their care, guidance and encouragement as well as their educating us about nutrition, proper stretching, resting and taking care of our bodies. I truly believe that chiropractic care will play a huge part in my finishing my own life's race strong, independent and standing tall with vitality. So I can say without a doubt that I was not nabbed, but I was blessed to have stopped that day to have my posture checked. I also ditto what others are saying about the clinic. Julie is awesome and it's such a warm happy place.

I suffered terribly from sciatic pain for over 5 years with regular flare-ups (even went to a different chiropractor for years with minimal results) but Dr. Shannon has gotten me back to where I should be and since coming here (one year now) I have been able to go from being practically immobile and unfit to working a heavy-labour job that requires a lot of bending/twisting and lifting. I would not have been able to do this job if it wasn't for Dr. Shannon and this office, let me tell you, and I never thought I'd be able to do heavy labour jobs ever again. Coming here has gotten me back to feeling like my old self again and the regular visits keep the aches and pains away and have been preventing any new injuries from forming. Thank you, Dr. Shannon! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a better quality of life and to not only manage but minimize any issues regarding your spine/back etc. All staff that work here are super friendly and nice, always a pleasure to come to the office to smiling faces and happy people :)

Did 25 days of "treatment" over 2 months. Very poor experience. Expect to feel like a customer rather than a patient. Poor narrow parking or risk getting towed in the mall. You set up appointments but the facility is based on a que system meaning even when you show up on time, you still got to wait 10-15 minutes every time, plus they give you a sign in card that you must have with you cause they need to automate and make you sign yourself in when you show up, Just to make the experience a little more impersonal. The treatment it self is maybe 5 minutes at most, so i typically waited longer than i got treated and the room they do the treatment in, is the same room you wait in, which always has parents with screaming/crying kids... The longest i was there was my orientation which was him making a Facebook video talking about how great Chiropractic work is and how you should always want to get chiropractic which was just a sales pitch to get continual treatments before i even started... I came from a different city based on on the good google reviews so i feel necessary to write an update that was contrary. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Geoff's clinic is fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has back pain of any kind. I have been to other chiropractors in the past and never received such effective treatment. The one major part I am always impressed with is how my progress is monitored through X-rays to prove that the treatment is truly working. The treatment has drastically improved my mobility and ability to work in a construction industry. The clinic has always been extremely fair with me on many levels, from changing appointments last minute and offering various payment strategies that are extremely economical. I have yet to meet a chiropractor that I don't like... that being said, I only know 3 and I went to school with 2 of them. ;) But Doctor Pete didn't have the same history as the others and still finds himself in my top 3 from our short time together. There is always a happy positive vibe when you walk in to meet Jody at the front desk. That feeling continues through your visit. Doctor Pete seems to be pretty knowledgeable about the matters his clients bring to him. I get to overhear how he addresses things from a clinical and knowledgeable background. He was able to provide mobile and relief to my miserable back and provided me with a 50% improvement from when we started 6 months ago. Everyone is a pleasure to see and they are more then happy to work with you whether it be for rescheduling an appointment or fitting you in for an emergency session.
