I've been going here for just over a year now for massages. I personally have my massages done by Robert and he is fantastic. Every time I walk into the building I'm greeted by a smiling face. It is a very comfortable environment that is always clean. I really appreciate the care Robert has for his patients. It's nice to know he cares for my well being and always leaves me with exercises to do at home before I come back for the next visit. I recommend here to anyone who loves great customer service.

Recently Dr.Papish has been doing the fine tuning and has done an amazing job listening to all the small details and assessing what needs to be done. I've been going to Central Avenue Health Centre since September 2020. The receptionists are always friendly and the place is welcoming. The Centre really cares about the health of its patients. My chiro (Dr. Curt Stuckel) is great! I used to suffer from frequent neck aches and headaches before going to the chiro, and after a few appointments, they have significantly decreased. I rarely get neck aches and headaches nowadays! I also got my new orthotics order through the Centre. They are comfortable to wear. My massage therapist (Malina Hnatiw) is great too! She always makes me feel comfortable getting massages and chatting. The environment she offers is very relaxing. The massages have helped my muscles relax (my back, neck and shoulders were particularly tense) and gradually release tension built-up in them. I really recommend Central Avenue Health Centre!

I had a therapeutic massage treatment with Megan. I originally have my primary therapist but she was away on summer holidays and i haven't had a treatment for a while so i decided to try a new person. I periodically would try new therapist but they never really seem to get to the root of my knots. Megan has done quite well after a few treatments and I will be going back to her to treat soreness from various injuries from sports and age. I would recommend anyone who is seeking a massage therapist to get a treatment from Megan and see how she does for you! Receptionist is professional and pleasant!

They do direct billing as well which is great! I came for chiro treatment and after my treatment, I felt so much better. Dr. Ruecker is really great, very professional, and most of all put me at ease since I am scared before to go for chiro treatment. Seeing a chiro definitely made a big change with my health, sleeping so much better and no more back, shoulder, elbow, and neck pain. I also tried their acupuncture. I was seeing a chiropractor at a different location and was feeling worse after every visit. After being in excruciating pain, what felt like forever but was probably 2 hours, I called around to see who could get me in within the day. Central Avenue Health Centre got me in within the hour! I ended up seeing Dr. Jim Pankiw who was concerned about how much pain I was in and requested an x-ray (which they do right then and there). He informed me of my situation and explained in very well detail of what was going on and what needed to be done. He listens and acts upon your concerns and is very informative! Receptionists are very friendly and make you feel welcomed! Neat and clean building! Easy to make appointments for chiropractic or message therapy! My experience with Central Ave Health Centre started with a visit to Robert Kilmer and some very painful back problems. Robert is very knowledgeable and doesn't just massage. He narrows down pain points and gives you pointers on how to stretch out problem areas to keep in good condition. He also suggested that I get a back scan which introduced me to Dr. Jim Pankiw who uncovered my root issue within two sessions and developed a treatment plan that has me up and running very well now. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and address you by name as you come in the door after just a couple appointments. Highly recommend this group!

I initially went to Central Avenue Health as I had a rib popped out of place and I needed an emergency appointment and my original chiropractor couldn't fit me in that day. I was able to get a same day appointment and had my rib put back in place. They completed a back scan and sent me for x rays for the full length of spine. Which is above and beyond the care I was getting before. On top of the Chiropractor care they offer massage and acupuncture all in the same building which cuts down on driving time if you have multiple appointments in one day. Every member of their staff is friendly and helpful.

Wish I could do 4.5!!! Great service, the staff is very friendly, clean environment. They even send out a signed Christmas card which is neat! I have been for personal/SGI massages and both were easily billed to the insurance companies. The only issues is that its fairly difficult to get same day massages. They only have 2 massage therapists who seem to book up quickly.

Dr Kurt Stukel is an exceptional chiropractor who gives you a warm greeting every time and who takes the extra time you need for your personal benefit. My overall experience at Central Avenue Heath has been exceptional, they are very friendly and professional. Larni is a warm and approachable receptionist and created a very inviting atmosphere when you walked in the door. I am a U of S student from Alberta who needed chiropractic maintenance so I consulted Dr. Pankiw who helped fix my back, using the back scan machine he was able to pinpoint problem areas and then together we developed a plan to correct my back. The time frame it took to fix my back was exactly what he suggested that it would take when we made our plan. Robert helped to fix my back as well, before every massage he would ask about any pains I had and during which movements it hurt the most, at the end of the appointment he would provide me with exercises and stretches to help me with my problem, areas. I am very satisfied with their service and definitely recommend them to anyone needing the care they offer.

Dr. Pankiw and Larni took time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood what’s going on before giving me treatments.. the others just treated me right away! I think that’s what I appreciated the most, the way they take time to explain things to you and making sure you really understand them. Awesome Staff & Service!! They are very accomodating & understanding towards my concerns. I am seeing Dr. J. Pankiw for my lower back pain; I really appreciated him , of all the chiropractors I have had in the past, he is the only the one who requested a spine xray to see what was wrong with regards to my symptoms before adjusting me and he have a plan in place for my care. In other words he is a smart doctor. I Am seeing V. Pankiw for accupunture; It was my first time to have acupunture. About 4 years ago I developed a pain in my neck, it steadily worsened, and began to affect my mobility, first neck, then arms. A family member suggested I visit Dr. Jim. I was skeptical of chiropractors, but desperate and in great pain, I booked a visit. Dr. Jim first did a scan of my spine to assess the problem, he performed a series of maneuvers that gave me a measure of relief immediately. He then booked X-rays for a full assessment. Degenerative disc disease was found in my neck. I went through a course of 12 treatments and fully regained my mobility as well as getting rid of my pain without drugs or lengthy treatments. At that time Dr. Jim suggested a treatment of 1 or 2 times a month as maintenance to avoid future issues, advice I did not heed. I had a serious relapse this month and returned to Dr. Jim. After the first treatment I no longer required pain killers. I am steadily improving and should make a full recovery. This time I will be taking the maintenance treatments and I am confident I will avoid suffering in the future.

I got referred to this health centre by my roommate because I had tweaked my back and spine badly enough that I was only comfortable when I laid down completely flat. I had pain that was pretty much debilitating. I figured I would be off work for a month at least because of how much it hurt and my very, very limited mobility. I started seeing Dr. Pankiw and we had done a back scan and had found out I had a lot of nerve tension throughout my spine. We started with 3 treatments a week and after the first week I already noticed a lot of improvement. I was able to stand comfortably once again. After 2 weeks I was already back to work and able to sit comfortably once again! When I first started treatments my pain was at a solid 9/9.5 out of 10, now I have no pain at all! Once a week I was also seeing Robert Kilmer for a massage as well. Both Robert and Jim are very professional and very informative/knowledgeable. I feel very confident in their skills and expertise (this coming from someone who used to be iffy about chiropractic treatment). I would definitely recommend them both for anyone who is experiencing any sort of spinal/neck/back pain or injury of any kind. On my initial back scan when I started treatments, I was topping off the charts, now, the back scan shows I'm back to normal where a person should be. The front staff is also very friendly, kind and easy to deal with! I will continue to come here for treatments or any problems that may arise in the future! Without hesitation, I would like to recommend Central Avenue Health Centre. They have a very welcoming homelike atmosphere, and the receptionists greet you with a smile. I felt extremely comfortable in sharing my aches and pains with Dr Papish, and in return he reassured me right away that he would, hands on (pardon the pun), be able to correct what was causing my discomfort. His first action was to immediately send me for an x-ray to establish an internal view of what was going on and to provide a diagnosis. From there, he outlined a course of treatment that he would do to restore me to better health and functionality. He provided optimism by telling me that I would be very pleased with the results. By explaining to me the different manipulations he performs, he gives me insight as to what and why he does what he does. I leave his office refreshed and pain free. I feel a strong sense of genuineness in the care that this office offers to their clientele. There is ample free parking in the back. 5 Stars isn't enough!

I would like to give Central Avenue Health Centre a big A+ over these past months of taking care of me and my back. My back was in pain a lot and Advil and Tylenol only did so much till it started hurting again. Then I saw Dr. Pankiw, he did everything to solve my pain. He has made my back 100% time better. When I first saw Dr. Pankiw my back scan was all in the red, after seeing him for a couple months I did my back scan again and all of the red went to white(which is Normal). No more back pain makes me feel awesome and do a lot more things now that i use to struggle with. Well I want to try a different chiropractic clinic to see what they could do about my pain in my back and right shoulder. Well after the scan they took and looked at my xrays, mri and ct scans they told me what stage my back was at. Also told my I had a partial tare in my one muscle on top of my right shoulder. Wow I don’t even know where to begin! I’ve been seeing chiropractors for the better part of 13 years, and never once received the care and dedication I received in my first two visits. Coming from out of town I had tweaked my back at work the day before and my regular chiro was on holidays. Called in the morning and they got me in that afternoon. Listened to my history and took a very good look at my whole spine rather than just my lower half that I’ve become accustomed to the last few years at the chiro. Suggested I go for X-rays and to come back the following day for a follow up and another adjustment. I’m so fortunate to have been able to get into Dr Pankiw, he found the problem that no one else has been able to. In just two short days my back was feeling great again when usually it’s a week or two when I was out as much as I was this time. I can’t thank that staff at CAHC enough. The road to a better back has been paved by these knowledgeable professionals. If your looking for a chiropractor look no further than CAHC you’d be silly to go elsewhere. I know alot of people don't like chiropractors and alot of other people say if they were any good you wouldn't have to keep going back. That's like saying you should never have too get your car fixed no matter the age. I highly disagree with both points. I have been seeing Curt for 2 years or so now. I swear his fingers are full of magic. He can just work and manipulate the bones back it to place with ease. Some of my previous chiropractors it felt like knees and elbows did all the work. I recommend Curt to everybody that needs help. Central Avenue health center is wonderfully comfortable place. Its well lit, its clean and it smells nice. It doesn't fell like a doctor's office. I was also given a thorough but brief lesson on chiropractic health that gave me a better understanding of why my care plan was being developed the way it was. I was met with patience when I didn’t understand something and always felt like I could ask any questions, no matter how silly I thought it was myself. It’s been about a month since that first visit and I can definitely feel the difference when I sleep and when I’m exercising or doing rigorous activity. I used to suffer from intense lower back pain while doing prolonged activities and shoulder and neck pain after sleeping. I definitely attribute the services from Dr. Pankiw and incorporating the stretches he recommended into my daily routine as the reasons for this overall improvement. As others have mentioned, the cost for treatment can definitely add up over time but prices are fair and comparable to others in the city. I’m of the opinion, however, that this is an investment in yourself. A wise investment I’d say for practically the same price as a night out. I definitely do not regret it!

So I called central Avenue health clinic to book an appointment after checking the reviews online. Meghan was awesome and she suggested the deep tissue massage instead of the hot stone massage I initially wanted. Robert Kilmer is a great massage therapist in the city. I felt so light after the massage that day. He gave me some stretches to do twice everyday. Have been to some massage therapist in the city and the therapy wasn’t effective. First of all, Dr. Papish is the best chiropractor by far. Dr. P. has been my doctor for a long time. He has a sense of humor and can take a joke. He is always happy, smiling and best of all "on time". I value all those qualities. He pays attention to all your comments and knows how to take care of you. He knows the best treatment with the best results. I trust his opinion and trust in his care. You cannot go wrong with Dr. P.

I started going to Dr Roy Papish after my daughter referred me to Central Avenue Health Centre in January. I was amazed and quite shocked after having an X-ray and a EMG scan of nervous system. Never did I suspect arthritis or a bulging disc that was happening. I've always been active and can do many activities without much pain. However if I had gone it would eventually have affected my mobility. Dr Papish has been steadily manipulating the areas where the scan showed great nerve tension. I'm happy with the results and today most of my nerve tension has come from severe to mild and mostly normal tone. I recommend anyone that may have even slight bout of pain or tension to seek out this clinic. You will be a happy , active, mobile person years to come. Thank you Dr Papish for the road I'm taking for better back and thus overall health. I wouldn't have known what was actually happening on my spine that eventually would create a painful nerve tension and lack of mobility.

After having a headache for over 100 days and trying several medications to ease the pain, I finally went to see Val Pankiw for acupuncture. After a couple sessions, I saw Dr. Jim Pankiw to work on my back. He did a scan, sent me for x-rays and determined that the headaches were caused from my neck and spine. He recommended treatment 3 times a week to adjust my spine along with a neck & back massage each week by Rob. At 7:30 pm... I was in a T-Bone accident in Saskatoon... hit on the passenger side not wearing my seatbelt.... totaled my truck and totally my fault. In one instant I suffered whiplash taken to City Hospital given strong anti-inflammatory and strong pain killer and released home. if ever I turned my head to the left of center.... I would get this lightning pain from my neck all the way down my left arm to the tip of my index and major fingers. This was so debilitating that I could not sleep and dress up and many other things like driving shoulder check etc. I was treated by Valerie Pankiw the acupuncturist and after some 8 sessions and one month after my accident I am about at least 98% recovered. Now I can turn my head completely to the left with no more pain. What a relief. Thankyou so much Valerie for your skills!

A few days later i went in to see Dr. Roy Papish who diagnosed a hip subluxation and began chiropractic treatment. Within the first session i was feeling much better and began to regain movement. After about a handful of sessions i am back to nornal and almost 100% range of motion. Papish for a degenerative scoliosis and lumbar spinal stenosis, I am very impressed with how thorough an assessment he and his assistant made and then shared with me the results of a battery of tests and x-rays with the use of spine models showing healthy condition and those showing my condition.
