I started my chiropractic treatment at the end of January of this year. Prior to my treatment, I was suffering from horrible headaches, neck stiffness/pain, vision problems, anxiety, sleeping problems and nerve pains (burning, tingling, numbing sensation) in my hands and feet on a daily basis. Dr. Snelgrove had told me around 4-6 weeks into my treatment I would start feeling a significant decrease in my symptoms, and he was right! So far, I'm a little over 3 months into my plan of 8 months and the headaches have decreased by 90-95% with much better mobility in my neck, and a greater reduction in pain. The vision has improved a bit and I'm getting noticeably better sleep at night. The nerve pain still comes and goes in my hands and feet. However, I'm convinced that by continuing the treatment plan, Dr. Snelgrove's recommended daily stretches (including Denneroll exercises), doing yoga and eating healthier will get me back to a completely healthy state with a healthy cervical spine and lumbar by the end of my plan. I also do a lot of driving for my work on a daily basis, and I've noticed my anxiety and feeling of swaying in my vehicle has dramatically decreased as well. I believe my symptoms have been brought on by poor posture over the years and also an acute gym injury I had received back in September of 2017. Overall, if you are somebody reading this and are in desperate need of professional help, don't jump the gun too quick and assume traditional MD meds is the answer to your prayers. Dr. Snelgrove and his lovely staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They will get you the results you need by following the combination of their guidance and your patience. This is a scam! My Niece went and they tried to rip her off! First visit is for xray and then next visit is to attend a 2 hr. lecture, which was done in a group setting to "indoctrinate" and then waited for another hour for a consult to discuss xrays and treatment. The whole concept is to get you to sign up for a year's treatment worth thousands of dollars. They call it preventive medicine. All this sitting wasn't helping the pain. When the papers weren't signed, treatment wasn't offered. Bad way to keep customers.

They always make sure to take the time to explain what they’re doing and how it’s going to help, and are very thorough with everything. I was suffering from migraine and since I had the adjustments on my neck I had minimal and to no migraine hat all. The clinic doesn't appear much like a clinic as it has a very homey feel to it, and the staff care about how you're doing physically as well as what's going on in your life outside. As well, when I moved away for school, Dr. Kevin referred me to someone he knew in my new city. They take care of their patients and it shows!

I've been seeing Dr. Kevin for the last 2.5 years and have been really happy with the results. I love seeing the changes for myself when we compare my current and past x-rays. I've come to really appreciate and understand just how crucial regular chiropractic care is! I lost feeling in two of my fingers and it lasted for a few days. I went to see my doctor and she had no idea and only suggested I come back to see her in a week if nothing had changed. I told Dr. Kevin and immediately after my adjustment I regained feeling in my fingers! It was a pinched nerve and chiropractic fixed me right up! Six months ago, I woke up with awful back pain. It hurt to do anything. Even breathing caused pain. I went to see Dr. Kevin and within an hour of being adjusted all the pain left and he could even tell me exactly where it hurt without me having to point out where the pain was concentrated. Turns out one of my ribs had shifted and just needed to be adjusted. If I didn't see Dr. Kevin I'm sure my doctor would have just given me some pain medication and told me to come back in a week. Because of chiropractic care, I was pain free and without having to use any drugs! I'm incredibly thankful that I'm aware of chiropractic care and how powerful it really is! Our bodies are incredible and chiropractic care enables our bodies to heal themselves just like they were designed to do. Also, I wasn't financially able to pay for the care that I needed. Dr. Kevin sat down with me and worked with what I could pay. I felt like he actually cared about my health! His table-side manner is exceptional and he makes a genuine effort to connect with each of his patients. I won't be going anywhere else! I highly recommend Snelgrove Chiropractic!

This is my first time here, but I’m a veteran in terms of receiving chiro care (this ain’t my first rodeo ????). Kevin is very attentive to all the issues and struggles one faces, and discusses each area in detail; which is very helpful in understanding exactly what’s going on with your body. I was sent for imaging first, and will be getting treatment after imagining is done. I finally have a good feeling about starting treatment again with the Snelgrove team, and to me first impressions with doctors are very important. Immediately I felt heard and understood, and that has hands down been one of the biggest issues I’ve faced in the past when coming to an initial intake. Our whole family has been going to Snelgrove Chiropractic for almost three years. We have five children and saw Dr. Kevin through my last pregnancy. I had a great pregnancy with hardly any back or sciatica pain. My first four pregnancies were full of sciatica pain. The office is warm, friendly and great for kids. The staff are fantastic. My wife started her treatment 6 months ago. She suffers sever migraines and has been for many years. We have tried everything, several medications, hot & cold patches on the forehead, changing diet ect. Nothing had a significant effect and the migraines were only getting worse. To be clear when i mean migraine, i mean your in the black hole of death for 2 days. She was averaging around 1-2 times a week at least, and i can easily say that has been reduced to every 2 weeks. Many of you may not see this as a lot, but we knew this was going to be a long road nor do we expect a cure. There is nothing more frustrating than to watch your significant other suffer in so much pain, and feel so helpless. For me, its worth every penny and every minute we spend at Snelgrove. They have been by far the most helpful, sincere and committed Wellness center we have seen in the area. For a few years on and off I have experienced minor back pain and I would go visit an RMT which would only bring short term relief. However all of a sudden last year, my back pain had increased severely. I sought out advice from doctors for relief and was met with “you are fine” “your x-rays look okay” “exercise even more” among other comments. Each not very helpful, kind or truly supporting an actionable treatment for healing or permanent relief. While speaking to my family, they recommend to contact Dr.Kevin Snelgrove for an assessment. My grandfather had previously seen him and had only wonderful things to say. Dr.Kevin Snelgrove was friendly, professional, and very helpful in his explanations in the assessment. He came from a place of support and care. After he reviewed my x-rays with me during the follow up, I found it all very educational and I was able to discover where my back pain was coming from. I started my treatment plan and ever since, my pain has diminished and nearly disappeared. Dr.Kevin Snelgrove and Shelly are a great team and truly all about your health journey with an emphasis on overall wellness. I have had back pain for years. I would seek out advice from doctors and RMT’s for relief, however everything was short term relief and not long term. After my girlfriend started treatment with Dr.Kevin Snelgrove for her own back pain relief, she recommended I go see him. Dr.Kevin Snelgrove and Shelly were so professional and friendly. It was a very informative assessment and after he reviewed my x-rays with me, I was educated on where my back pain was coming from. I started my treatment plan and ever since, my pain as diminished. I am thankful for Dr.Kevin Snelgrove and excited to continue my treatment for my health.

My name is Barry, and I have to say I totally disagree with the other comment. I do not make allot of money, and went for one of their free examinations. I got X-rayed to determine if I needed Chiropractic care first off, so right there you know they are concerned with making sure you actually need it, and not just signing up anyone. They have actually told people you don't really need it, but if you still want to do it for maintenance reasons, that's OK. Secondly, after the x-ray it was determined that i will benefit from chiropractic care. They then offered me a free 2 weeks of adjustments, which is started by sitting down in a group and listening to a 1-2 hour explanation of how it works, what your expectations should be, what it helps with, what it doesn't help with, followed by a question and answer period.. this only further strengthens that they do really care about educating you about all the truths and misinformation about chiropractic care. Take away from it what you will, but I found it very informative and un-bias. Third, once my 2 weeks of free care was up, the pitch came. They recommended I get adjusted 3 times a week for about a year at a total cost of 45 per session, a session being 1 day. I can not afford this, I only have about 100 dollars to spend on extra things per month. For people like me they have whats called a scholarship program, where if you cant afford the normal price, they will work out a custom price for you based on your income level, and you will still receive EXACTLY the same care as someone paying full price. Their only condition was I show up for and keep going with the care plan they outlined, To me that seems the total OPPOSITE of a scam, I don't know why the other person that left the message said it was a scam, obviously they did not get to know Kevin Snelgrove or Bernadette or any of the other wonderful, caring, people that work there. Its not a charity, but they really do care about each and every patient's well being. They are not going to give discounted care to someone who can afford it, but if you can not and they believe they can truly help you, they will. They donate to more charities than any other business in Barrie I have heard of. They sponsor kids in africa, dominican republic, do food drives, on christmas they had a santa for all the kids to play with while they got their adjustments. They adjust Adults, kids, and even a dog. So after 1 year have I got any better? YES! Much better than I was before, and I have even lowered my pain medications, and hopefully one day be off of them completely, as this is far better for your long term health. The less drugs the better. So before you judge someone, get to know them. I don't know why so many people are suspicious of chiropractors, they think they are vodoo doctors or witch doctors or something. I don't get it. They go to school and earn PHD like any other doctor. And in fact they have to go to school longer than a Normal GP, because they are specialists in Osteology. I think its minimum 8 years for a chiropractor. So yeah..... They are Amazing. Don't let that other comment dissuade you from checking them out and getting a free consultation.. It helps many things, like Asthma in children and adults, sleep apnea, Immune system issues with cancer and aids patients, and sleep patterns, etc.... the benefits are real, and many. If you find yourself still not believing, why not check it out for yourself and stop being a sheep and following what other people say... Go see for yourself, and make your own decision that way! After all it can not hurt you, these are not some people pretending they know what they are doing but really snapping peoples necks... They are real doctors, which extensive knowledge and NOBODY has ever been hurt or injured in a proper clinic with properly educated and practiced chiropractors. Those stories you hear are about unqualified people practicing illegally. This is a legitamite place. See for yourself!
