Well, I feel it only fair to confess right away that I didn't actually go to the actual Village Bakery, much to my disappointment. However, having gone on an organized tour of Kluane, I was fortunate enough that the tour bus stopped at the FasGas gas station to refuel -- we were told that we could pick up coffee and snacks inside the station store and I, hoping for the impossible, popped inside to find... a basket of goodies from Village Bakery! :) That being said, now that I'm looking at the photos online, I would have loved to pop into the log cabin bakery and grab one of their cinnamon buns, danishes, or squares. Instead, I had to content myself with a choice of muffin or scone. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

So many tasty choice!

a slice of heaven and the best coffee evah!!!!

Fair selection of baked goods. Provision for eating on premises if required,in a garden setting. Cater for vegetarians as well. Excellent and friendly service.

I have reviewed the village bakery more than once. I am clearly biased as I eat my delicious soup and sourdough bun. Mmmm. That is all.

A go-to if you're in Haines Junction. One of my favourite bakeries in Yukon. A thumbs up from me ????

Lovely bakery and great baked goods.

Worth finding. Great food.

Super tasty food, the Caesar chicken panini was so good. My friend loved the chicken pot pie. We couldn’t decide on the pasties so be bought them all. And then ate them all.

(Translated) What they make delicious cakes here, mmm Cozy terrace, excellent place to refuel. (Original) Wat maken ze hier heerlijke koeken, mmm Gezellig terras, uitstekende plek om bij te tanken.

Good food but get there early for the best selection. Very busy at lunch in September.

We loved this place while traveling in the Yukon. Stopped here whenever we passed through Haines Junction. Very high quality and friendly staff. Love the music selection too. 100% recommend

Great bakery tucked away in Haines Junction serving fresh baked goods. Has a fun deck to enjoy the outdoors on a sunny day or a covered cabin which shelters you if it rains. Check out the little art showcase as well! Highly recommend their stone fired pizza when they have it running!

My partner and I both had the veggie breakfast burritos and coffee, and we LOVED them! The Village Bakery makes excellent food that nobody should pass up while traveling through Haines Junction!

Great food, friendly staff.

(Translated) Excellent welcome. Delicious pastries. Clean, pretty and relaxing spot on the Alaska Highway (Original) Excellent accueil. Délicieuses pâtisseries. Endroit propre, joli et reposant sur la grande route de l’Alaska

Advertise gluten free but only had gluten free brownies

Basically the heart and soul of Haines Junction. Fresh baked bread and pastries, amazing cinnamon rolls, tasty coffee and hot drinks, healthy cafe food, local art and crafts at the gift shop, live music and events, dog-friendly patio, welcoming staff, community notice board... everything you could want in a bakery/local hangout and so much more. Wish they stayed open for the winter though ;)

Good-assed burritos and bread

Fantastic bakery!

Village bakery provided our photography group with lunches to go for four days. The food was fresh every day and the staff was great. The Salmon BBQ is a must do! VG Photography Tours

(Translated) Little gem in the middle of nowhere. Great food and good service (Original) Petit bijou dans le.milieu de nul part. Bonne bouffe et bon service

Friendly service. Fantastic atmosphere.

Great coffee and food. The breakfast burrito I had was one of the best!

Best place in HJ, great salmon bake event with music on Fridays in the summer. More then just a bakery truly a social hub for the village.

Nice selection of baked goods. Nanaimo bar was awesome.

Nice place - lovely lasagna and soup. Otherwise large variety of sandwiches and desserts. Lots of seating outside.

Lovely spot with great selection f baked goods and warm meals. Very friendly staff.

Wonderful staff and the food is amazing!! If you go here you HAVE to try the garlic cheese sticks, you will not regret it.

Very good food, lots of information on surrounding tourist attractions.

The village bakery is always a good choice. The prices are a tad higher than you expect but you'll know where your extra buck or two went too when you try the Bakeries food. Fresh baked goods and a variety of goodies.

Outstanding. Large variety. My husband had the plain cinnamon roll. I had the applebom. Both were fantastic.

Great spot.

Great place to visit

No bread available to purchase in the morning.

Best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had!

It is good deli I ate Thare the Cooke is stale but the Browning was good.

So good!!! This bakery was deliciousness! Staff was sweet and breakfast sandwiches were just what we needed to start our day! My hazelnut latte was amazing! Wish I had ordered more food!

Great service with laid back ambience to back it up. Food is indeed pricey. But then, who is going to Haines Junction looking for cheap food? I was just happy they made such amazing bakery products right there despite all the logistical challenges one could imagine. A suggestion: it'd be great if you could periodically (by the minutes) dust the outdoor benches given how quickly they can accumulate crumbs.

The best bakery in town... only 1 in town

I drove an hour and a half each way just to visit the bakery. This place is phenomenal

Yummy and delicious homemade food!

Good selection and good food. There aren't many places in Haines junction, so I'm glad they are there. It can be a little tricky to find. follow the signs and keep going. Eventually you'll see it

Best place in town to have a lunch.

Best Place in Town

Finally a bakery that lives up to expectations!!

Came through a couple times after hiking in Kluane. This is a perfect bakery and cafe as far as I can tell with tasty sandwiches, lasagna, baked goods, icecream, coffees and friendly, conscientious staff!

Great place, outdoor seating on deck, tasty food and good coffee.

Great friendly staff with a great variety of freshly baked goods. Great place for a road trip stop and morning coffee

Went here in July for my brother in law's wedding reception. Large patio outside, a salmon bake that was all you can eat, live music from a local band There was also some good baking for sale, decent coffee, and a pretty reasonable craft beer selection. Nice place to eat and hang out before heading back to the campground for the after party. Places like that made for a terrific experience in the Yukon even though we were only able to stay a few days.

A gem

My wife and I visit the Yukon every year. We love Haynes Junction and always stay across the street from the Village Bakery. The first year we stayed there the windows were open and at about 2am I heard some noise. I wondered what it could be??? When I realized the noise was coming from the bakery I started to understand how hard these fine folks work to sell truly "fresh" bread and pastries. I fell asleep dreaming of scones. The cabins we stay in have kitchenettes and we occasionally prepare a meal.......BUT we have developed a routine of having fresh baked goods and coffee at Village Bakery for breakfast and later having a lunch / dinner at Frosty's and/or going back Village Bakery since they some wonderful lunch and dinner items too. If Village Bakery was dropped in the middle of a big city it would be a success. To find such an excellent bakery / restaurant in a small town in the Yukon Territory is a DELIGHT. Five stars!

Some of the best bread, baked goods, and pastries in the territory. There are a lot of options, and the coffee is really good, as well. A definite if you are passing through or staying in Haines Junction.

A wonderful little bakery/cafe. Great atmosphere and lots of tasty food.

Yummy. What a little gem in Hanes Junction. I enjoyed their salmon chowder and bison cheese bun. Friendly atmosphere and is often busy.

Lovely bakery, but I find the pastry items much to sweet. Half the sugar would suffice.

Pretty ordinary quality pastries at sky high prices

By the time we visited around 5 pm, most of the bread were all gone except for some dessert. However, I was still able to order Sandwich (build your own) and it was super yummy. We also got prepacked salad (Cobb salad) and it was also fresh and pretty good. They also had home made lemonade which was so nice on a hot afternoon. Overall, I really enjoyed my food there. I wish I could go in the morning when there are actual bread too!

Well supplied, clean, friendly. Popular among locals.

This is a lovely spot to have a coffee and a snack. They have all kinds of coffee and espresso beverages, smoothies, sandwiches baked goods and desserts. They also have a selection of fresh baked breads for sale. The staff were very friendly. I ordered a croissant and an iced latte with caramel. Both were delicious and a very welcome boost to a long day of traveling. If you are in Haines Junction, you should definitely check them out.

Great coffee and food. Really the only place in town I believe

Always busy, but good quality food.

Tasty food, good coffee, amazing baked goods. Great place to stop while passing through the Junction. A block off the beaten path, so you have to know where to look.

Many options for sweets here! Love the deck area.

Wonderful baked goods.

Great place! Delicious food that includes vegetarian/vegan options, lots of pastries/baked goods and nice smoothies. Casual atmosphere with plenty of seating indoors/outdoors, friendly staff, reasonable prices. And free wifi!

Good spread of pastries and deli food. Assortment of fresh coffee, teas, and drinks. Some vegetarian and vegan options. Clean and inviting atmosphere.

The best place for a sandwich or a cake in Haines junction (places to find food are rare here!). It's a bit pricey but everything is in Haines junction.

Busy place in season. Fresh bread and pastries.

Very tasty, and good assortment.

Lovely bakery and coffee shop! Everything was delicious!

Over priced but good food.

Decent coffee. A bit pricey. I don't try the baked goods because of the cost but many other people seemed to enjoy them.

The walnut cinamon roll was fine. Coffee was hot. Only thing was, as first time guests we didnt know how the system works and instead of explaining it to us, the cashier gave us attitude and got a bit irritated. I understand other places do this too because they are so used to the system that they dont realize others dont understand, but we could have had a nicer experience if she took 5 more minutes to explain. This system being different size mugs (We have never seen this before) vs paper cups.

Best blueberry danish I've ever had.

Nice and lovely place, great food!

Great coffee, friendly staff. Very popular so go early as they tend to sell out egg sandwiches, etc. Lots of baked goods, regular sandwiches.

nice place and guys!! good coffee and cinnamon bun

(Translated) A highlight at Haines HWY !!! Pause, enjoy, shop. (Original) Ein Highlight am Haines HWY!!! Pausieren, Genießen, Shoppen.

Great place to stop on for a bite anfter a drive from Whitehorse to Kluane

Best place for breakfast in haines junction

Very cool bakery in the summers. Lots of lounge areas spread out in the yard. I always enjoy this bakery

Great service and very friendly staff. Come in early for day olds, basically three for the price of one. Can't go wrong.

Amazing food and service! Brownies and date bars are to die for! Love this place!

Great food and amazing baked goods and coffee. The only good place to eat in town.

If you are in the area you MUST stop here. Coffee is great and the food is even better! The staff is very pleasant and inviting. Remember to bring your own travel mug and you save money and the environment

Great quality food, good location and friendly staff

Cozy place for coffee, treats, wifi, and local souvenirs, such as artwork. Great way to spend a few hours.

Something for everyone! Very fresh!

Great food and service. We have used the Village Bakery to supply food for VG Photography's, Yukon photography tours. Nothing but rave comments on the food from our photographers.

Excellent food!

A must-stop when passing through Haines Junction.

Great place to stop for a coffee and snack. Staff was very friendly.

They make up special sandwiches to order and have gluten free bread.

Delicious baked goods in a beautiful setting. Expensive, but worth it for the quality.

New owner's and still great!

Great food

The best bakery on the Alcan! Could spend all day here! Nice coffee too

This is a little off the beaten path if you are just passing through Haines Junction, but it is well worth short drive. It looks like they put a lot of effort into providing all natural and/or organic products. In fact there is a garden that you walk past on the way into the bakery, and I assume they incorporate some of those items when it is warm enough to grow things. There are a few tables inside with a separate seating area in another building a adjacent to the bakery. The pecan topped cinnamon rolls were awesome!

A great little gem. Good food and service.

Nice

Love the bread.

Loved this place. Great food for breakfast and other meals. Beverages are also good. The gallery next door is worth visiting as well.

(Translated) Cozy place, just miles from Kings Thrones. (Original) Hyggeligt sted, kun få km fra Kings Thrones.

Some of the friendliest staff you'll have the pleasure of meeting. I did find their prices to be a tad high, but recently have seen some price reductions. Especially on the kale and beet salad. (So delicious by the way) I also find their coffee tastes a bit bitter but that just might be my taste buds. I would definitely recommend checking it out, especially for their live music and dinner nights!

We came here for the salmon bake which was amazing!

(Translated) It's always awesome !!! Don't be shy to stop taking something (Original) C'est toujours génial !!! Faut pas se gêner pour arrêter prendre quelque chose

This is 'the' place on Haines Junction. Coffees great, the pastries are great to, the sandwiches are good and they sell ice cream

Yum yum yum

Always a good stop for lunch or snacks

Wonderful bakery. Lunch items and delicious baked goods

Rustic charm and good food. Great place to stop when you are driving from Whitehorse to Haines, Alaska. Attractive and friendly. Quite reasonable prices, considering how remote this place is.

Expensive but good just to try

It is off the main road but worth finding the signs to direct you there. Great breads and sweet treats as well as hearty soups and pies. You will not be disappointed. Has an out door seating area, lots of hot drinks and toilets. Very friendly young staff.

So, ,, yummy ????. Great fresh baked goods. Friendly staff. Warm atmosphere. And , , weekly entertainment. Love visiting here.

We stopped on a Sunday morning & it was mobbed. With good reason. We had trouble deciding on pastries, so we bought more than we needed. Everything was delicious!

Good ice cream and cookies. Excellent deck to enjoy

Great bakery. Service was excellent, tasty food. Definitely worth a visit when in Haines Junction.

Fantastic!

Everything is delicious, I've never had a bad meal, baked good, or coffee here! Sourdough bread is dense and moist, desserts are to die for (especially espresso squares). They have sunflower 'milk' as a dairy alternative for lattes. It tends to separate in your beverage, but it seems very fresh.

Food was excellent, so excellent that we stopped in every time we were in town. Lots of seating with great staff.

Best sandwiches and garlic cheesesticks in the whole Yukon! If you're in the area you absolutely have to stop here. The outdoor seating is spacious and good vibes, the staff is super friendly and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious.
