You will be able to see the feddbacks of real people like you who buy the services of The Caribou RV Park (Catering) in the territory of Yukon (Canada).
Currently the firm gets a score of 4.6 over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is nearly the best one, and it is based on a high number of opinions, so we can think that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Catering is included in the category of Campground.
What a great campground. One of my favorites of a 3800 mile trip so far. Excellent laundry and washrooms. Very nice, friendly and helpful hosts. If I go back home that way, I will certainly stay again. Wonderful camping experience. Close enough to Whitehorse for shopping but not too close! Jack and Clyde (my very loyal Rat Terrier) Blakley Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA
I stayed at one of the unserviced sites at this RV Park for two weeks during May 2021. It was a pleasant and peaceful stay. The new owners, Steve and Sandra, are friendly, helpful people. They clearly care about the quality of their guests' experience. The RV Park & Campground are nicely maintained, the small store is well stocked and the laundromat is clean and fairly priced. This is the place I’ll stay when I’m near Whitehorse.
(Translated) Super service, of course (so better than "naturally nice"), tips from experience and conviction you get here too. (Original) Superservice, natürlichnett (also besser als "natürlich nett"), Tipps aus Erfahrung und Überzeugung bekommt man hier zudem.
Clean and well maintained property, fantastic service, fantastic showers (no tokens necessary!) and clean laundry room. This is a great pit stop on the Alaska Hwy to recharge and wash up before continuing. The owner was helpful and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. Appreciated the option to order freshly baked goods too!
Nice homey place & Great food at Wolf Den..
Excellant campground & staff clean facility!!
Nice spot to stop. Clean HOT showers, clean laundry area with lots of room. Spacious parking with trees for shade.
Very nice campground! Cleanest bathrooms and showers ever. Friendly staff that will go above and beyond to meet your expectations. Will recommend to everyone.
Very quiet. We stayed late in the summer season, but they still had excellent service. Whitehorse was our destination, and Steve and Sondra gave us great ideas for things to do around Whitehorse. Showers/laundry were clean and comfortable. A red fox wandered through the park each evening, so keep your eyes open.
The owners of this RV park were wonderful. Due to challenges getting through the border crossing we arrived a day late, and even though I had missed my reserved date, they didn't charge me for a second night. We were very grateful. This is a nice little park with all the necessary conveniences. Sites are a bit small, but bathouse and all were clean.
Bit expensive, limited free internet, no hot water in cabin and have ourdoor communal washrooms.
Nice private bathrooms with shower. Camping/rv spots have trees and plenty of space. Power. Water and a dump life is good. Nice owners working the park
A great choice for me in my class B van. The back-in sites were nicely spaced and the facilities were very good. I especially appreciated the on-site RV wash. The owners are new and it is obvious that they are working hard to maintain and improve the facilities. They were efficient, personable, and flexible. The park is about 15 minutes out of town but there is a neighbouring restaurant with a limited menu but definitely home-made.
Took us in when they weren't open for 3 more days! Thanks to new owners place is great.
Nice park, good services, very friendly staff.
(Translated) Very friendly and courteous greeting of the (German speaking) head couple. Plant great. Highly recommended. (Original) Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Begrüssung des (deutschsprechenden) Leiterpaares. Anlage tiptop. Sehr empfehlenswert.
Sandra and Steve opened the doors to their RV Park to help those who needed somewhere to self isolate during the Covid-19 outbreak. They were very conscious of following safety protocols thereby making this a great experience for everyone at the park. The little shop is quite well stocked and fresh bread and pastries are delivered everyday, just needing you to order the day prior. To top it all Sandra has created a monthly dinner menu, which she cooks herself on the premises, to help out those who aren’t able, or don’t have anyone, to do their food shop. I couldn’t have been more thankful for the service, they were lovely hosts. Thanks guys ❤️
This RV Park was excellent! The owners were super helpful, friendly, and accommodating! Chances are very good we will be back there in a few days for a night or two!
Wow wow the place is great, owners are incredibly friendly and caring, and the services they offer are higher than expected for a campground! They have laundry, showers, super clean washrooms, wood, a super diverse convenient store, very good water, hookups, a really cozy terrace, a car wash, and so on. There is a restaurant at walking distance It's the perfect place to stop when arriving or leaving Whitehorse. We love the place and it's people !!
Stayed with them both coming to and leaving The Yukon. Will definitely be back. Hospitality first class! Bathrooms and showers CLEAN and everything worked well!! Not very common these days. Nice little store for the essentials. Also had dinner at the Wolf Den. Excellent food and staff. Both Caribou and Wolf Den highly recommended!
Nice, quiet place with friendly hosts.
Very nice people. The facilities we used were clean. The restaurant next door was amazing!!!!
Very friendly owners. They are the new owners and are busy sprucing up the place. Everything is neat and orderly. Campsites arlong and gravel and a moderate separation between sites. The 15-minute Drive into the city is well worth where we're at stop.
This was a very clean campground! The owners were super helpful and pleasant! I would highly recommend stopping here.
The amenities are endless and the hosts are very caring and look after all your needa. The amenities include dump station, power washer for all siEd vehicles, amazing patio, electric and fresh water at your campsite. If you want a campsite with amenities, look no further. There is also a restaurant and bar for lunch dinner and drinks. Just 15 minutes out of downtown Whitehorse
What an awesome RV park. Steve let us in a bit early and he gave us awesome tips on where to go in and around Whitehorse. It's such a clean well maintained RV park and I highly recommend staying here. Great experience for sure.
Very nice and neat place. Very friendly people. I would highly recommend this place
Loved this RV park. Bathrooms were great. Staff was great.
Friendly, Clean Park.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A much more relaxing atmosphere than the RV park closer to town.
Depending on your needs this may be a little far from Whitehorse. For us that didn’t matter. It’s clean has laundry and enough groceries to get you by. Friendly staff that wants to be better. We would stay again
Staff is friendly. Once paid, firm on no refunds. Basic gravel roads and sites, relatively flat, water, 30 amp service, dump station. This campground is about a 15-minute drive from Whitehorse. It is quiet and a Good Sam park. They also offer a 15% senior discount. Recorded phone message says they cannot accept reservations over the phone. There is a "For Sale" sign out front - hard to tell if the campground is for sale or the Wolf's Den restaurant which both use the same entrance drive (but don't eat at the Wolf's Den if you are allergic to smoke - the place reeks of it).
(Translated) A great place - it is worth to drive 10 minutes out of Whitehorse and to enjoy the loving care there - here you will find peace, optimal equipment and travel tips of the highest quality! (Original) Ein toller Platz - es lohnt sich 10 Minuten aus Whitehorse herraus zu fahren und die liebevolle Betreuung dort zu genießen - hier findet man Ruhe, optimale Ausstattung und Reisetips erster Güte!
This place is amazing! Super nice facilities, showers, bathrooms, wash and dryer, dumping station and RV wash station. Service was exceptional, very friendly and helpful! Highly recommended. One of the nicest RV campsites out there, if not the best! We're definitely coming back!
Basic parking lot, services worked ok, but great for a stop over only
A Quiet park...exceptional hosts can't do enough for You. Parking sites for a large RV with a tow may require you to unhook...but not a problem for us.
We enjoyed our stay very much ...Beautiful spot would highly recommend to family and friends
Best showers ever! Especially after coming through an area where services few and far between. Great hosts. Feels tight pulling in campground, but we did not have any problem getting our 34 ft 5th wheel in a site. Just a few minutes from town, quiet an clean. Stay here instead of going to one of the parking lot style campgrounds in Whitehorse, you won’t regret it. Staying again when we go back thru next summer.
(Translated) Thanks Tinu (Original) Danke Tinu
Welcoming host, well organized, well maintained grounds, all amenities functional, clean, efficient and sufficient.
Nice quiet campground
Very nice staff, helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant adjacent to the campground within walking distance. We had a full hook-up, pull through site. The sites are close together, but we only spent a cold and rainy travel night there, so it was just fine.
Campground is great. The only problem is the neighbors dog, which is still barking non stop at 1 am and has been since we got here about 8 pm.
Large spaces, tight driveways, limited amenities.
Friendly, courteous hosts. Clean, private bathrooms and showers. Highly recommended
Good place to stop for an overnight or 2 in Whitehorse. 15 min drive to town. Owners are great.
(Translated) Absolute recommendation! Very clean and tidy RV. Dedicated operators with "heart and soul". We recommend. (Original) Absolute Empfehlung! Sehr sauberer und aufgeräumter RV. Engagierte Betreiber mit "Herzblut". Sehr zu empfehlen.
Rude front desk, talking on the phone with the person was pushy
It’s fine. Only issue for me was no showers until 7 am. I like to hit the road before that.
Good campground with nice easy pull thus. Very clean and has a restraunt close by. Loved the log cabin.
Very friendly and accommodating staff, very clean bathrooms, adjacent to great restaurant, car wash was a bonus. Much better than other campgrounds we visited on our trip.
This place is on its way to a 5-star rating. The owners are very dedicated to making the park the best possible. As of the time of this writing, they don't yet have 50 amp service nor sewer connections at each site (which is why I can't give a 5 yet) but besides that this park offers quite a bit. Clean facilities. Great location. Peaceful setting. And yes you heard right: An offer to have freshly baked bread in the morning (I believe 4 days a week). Just like being in Europe! And the owners are the friendliest folks you'll ever meet--fluent in German and French as well as English. Stay here folks. You won't regret it.
This was a very beautiful park. I loved that it was not overcrowded. The hookups worked great. The laundry was spotless. The people here were so very courteous. We only wish we could have stayed longer to try the wolf den.
We stayed at this Park twice, as we enjoyed ourselves so much the first time. The owners and their nephew are very pleasant and strive to give you the best experience. The showers and laundry facilities are kept very clean and all the machines and showers work very well. The lots are nestled in among the trees, so you don't feel like you are in a parking lot. Be sure to order some of the fresh baking from the local Bakery. It arrives early in the morning to enjoy over your coffee. Will definitely return here on our next visit.
Steve and Sandra were exceptional in their friendliness and efforts to fully accommodate - including Steve helping to jump start our dead tow vehicle and helping us to find a reliable shop for repairs to our motor home - beat up by our trek to/from Fairbanks on the Al-Can highway. That said, the cable TV was limited, as was the Wifi (but both are in the process of being upgraded or replaced). Bonus was the "Wolf's Den" European/German cuisine next door and the homemade Swiss pastries (and breads) made our stay especially enjoyable.
Great baking offered. Very friendly. Bought a necklace/wearing set I love made a local person.
I would definitely recommend this RV Park to anyone travelling the Alaska Highway. They are great people and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is great.
(Translated) Really recommended! (Original) Wirklich zu empfehlen!
Very nice place and very friendly people. They go out of their way to help you
Wolf's den restaurant is the best!
Very nice park. Quiet, clean and extremely well maintained. The hosts are outstanding. Showers, laundry and restrooms are the best I have ever seen. Going north or south this park will always be a stopping point! Wish they were all like this one.
Stayed here late night thru morning in early October on a trip from AK to AZ. Super easy to maneuver our 30ft Motorhome in, had all amenities available and more, and was super cute! I have recommended it to other military couples making the drive.
(Translated) Very good service and very clean toilets. The campsite is beautifully situated in the forest and it is quiet there - just what you would expect during a Yukon vacation! (Original) Sehr guter Service und sehr saubere Sanitäranlagen. Der Campingplatz liegt sehr schön im Wald und es ist ruhig dort - genau das, was man doch bei einem Urlaub in den Yukon erwartet!
Owners are great. Shower facility is perfect.
Restrooms & laundry are very clean! Nice location & staff are very friendly & helpful!
The people were nice. The campsites were OK. Even though we were told they could easily accommodate our 43 ft motorhome with tow behind, the campground roads and turns were a little tight. We had to disconnect the tow vehicle to get to our campsite.
(Translated) Nice, clean place. But the best: Fresh Swiss bread and braid available! (Original) Schöner, sauberer Platz. Aber das Beste: Frisches Schweizer Brot und Zopf erhältlich!
Very nice wooded area. Quiet night's sleep for those on a long journey.
Owners very helpful. We will.be back
Trees, nice washrooms, close to Whitehorse
We had a great time. Easy to get in and out
The owners are terrific, very accommodating! The location is convent to restaurants and shopping. The facility is well managed and very clean, both the showers and bathrooms as well as the laundry. I strayed here twice in August and would definitely stay again.
(Translated) You can camp there even in winter. Very warm welcome and very nice location just like the Yukon and its nature (Original) On peut y camper même l'hiver. Très bon accueil et très bel emplacement à l'image du Yukon et de sa nature
Really nice facility. We did not walk around the entire property much to compare campsites. We stayed in a site near the entrance of the campground which was nice but was in close proximity of the next sites. Have more and more open campsites seems to be pretty standard at all campgrounds around Whitehorse though (and I can understand why with how busy is just get during tourist season!). Bathrooms were very clean. There were only 3 bathrooms and showers (that we saw) so that required a bit of waiting at times but not a big problem, especially if you showered at less busy times of the day. Very COVID friendly. I appreciated the self registration. Laundry can only be done during certain times of the day (once again, not a big deal. Just something to plan around). Water was shut off to the sites when we were there in October (which we knew about) but was also shut off to the dish washing station. We switched to using disposable dishes because of that; once again, not an inconvenience, just something that we did not realize when we read that water was shut off to the sites. Nice distance to leave from if going to Carcross (around 50 km). We were doing a bit of travelling but also spending a few days in Whitehorse. The drive into Whitehorse is about 15-20 minutes from the campground which is very reasonable and an easy drive. All in all, we would stay stay here again, no complaints at all.
Good location close to town. Good space between RVs, so we were able to use the provided benches to eat outside in the evening. Great welcome from friendly and helpful staff, wash/shower rooms clean, great re-cycling facilities. We had a fab 5 day stay. We will definately return next time we are in Whitehorse.
Couldn't use the facilities due to covid but the proprietor was nice. They even had a car/rv wash.
Very friendly staff, we are three RVs traveling together and they had no problem fitting us in.
(Translated) Nice campground at the gates of Whitehorse. Beautifully located in the forest, unserviced sites. The CG has a dump station, which is free for overnight guests. German is also spoken here. (Original) Netter Campground vor den Toren von Whitehorse. Schön im Wald gelegene unserviced Sites. Der CG besitzt eine Dumpstation, die für Übernachtungsgäste kostenfrei ist. Hier wird auch deutsch gesprochen.
Nice clean hot showers. I liked the laundry. It’s a good place to get descent Wifi. The WiFi at our camp was week. The camp is right off the Alaska Highway so there is a little road noise. It didn’t bother us. There is a short walk to the Wolf’s Den Restaurant.
Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Park is in a convenient location and has some long pull throughs.
Very friendly staff and very accommodating to our needs. Since we called from Victoria B.C . Our very first trip to the Yukon with our 42’ Rv.They gave us 2 spots for our Rv and truck .
nice place, the service is so warmly!!! washroom and shower room is so clean!!!
Rv'd to Alaska 5 times in last 15 years, have stopped here 4 of the 5 times going and coming. A short drive south of Whitehorse for an easy major shopping and services
This park was nice, clean Laundry and showers and the folks that own it are fairly new to the area, but, they gave us great information on what to see and do. I would stay here again for sure.
(Translated) Very good campground! (Original) Sehr guter campground!
The best place to stay in Whitehorse. Steve and Sandra make you feel at home. And the Wolf's Den is a must place to enjoy a great Swiss dinner.
The spots near the road are a little sparse of vegetation and the wifi is weak. The restrooms and showers are much better than most of the other RV spots along this highway. We have stopped at this RV park on every one of our trips and would stop again.
Love this place! Will be back for sure! Excellent FREE showers for customers, clean sites with all amenities available within seperate areas for accommodating anyone self isolating. By far the best RV park during my trip across the Yukon. Lovely owners.
Very accommodating with last minute arrival. Fresh baked goods in the morning.
very friendly and helpful staff, great bathrooms and showers
Decent place to hook up for the night. Has showers and electric. It's right off the road so the road noise kept me up all night. Pulled in late and left as quickly as we could. Not my ideal campsite.
Beautiful place!! New owners are very nice people
Steve and Sandra run a top notch place at Caribou. They're proud of what they have, and it shows. Everything is clean, neat, and works well. Both are very friendly, willing to help, and take a moment to just chat. Would strongly recommend Caribou RV Park to anyone wanting a great place to stay.
(Translated) Great campsite, we were in tent and it was our headquarters around Whitehorse! Pretty private pitches, super clean bathroom (and hot). We were lucky enough to see Northern lights around a fire with other people and the owners very nice!
Stayed there twice. Going to and from Dawson City. Great host. Very clean and well managed. Full hook ups and laundry. Private washrooms and showers.
Great stay, good spots, and I appreciate the staff's help!
Excellent, recommend it highly!!
We had a wonderful time at the Rv park service was awesome
A delightful find. Lovely people, and lots of amenities. There’s nothing that I need that they haven’t thought of already. Plus some fabulous extras like fresh baked bread.
My family and I, and our dog Sophie, were in between homes locally, and so we stayed at Caribou RV for 2 weeks in tents in site #47. This site is fairly new, and was away from everything. Other than some rain and dampness, quite a few mosquitos, and a Camp Fox or two, overall the entire stay was very pleasant. Blessed quietness. Steve and Sandra are outstanding hosts and new owners of Caribou RV. The showers were always clean, the laundry room was excellent, and the little store was stocked with little things we needed like milk, bacon, ice cream, supplies, and more. A bowl of free gummies at the desk was quite often stocked as well, and my family of 6 ate more than our share I will say. Well, maybe it was just me! Orange is my favorite. Anything we needed they were most kind and helpful. They were even genuinely concerned for us when it was thundering, lightning, and raining hard...but we were fine. After the two weeks stay our new home opened up, and we found it hard to leave Caribou RV. I give them the highest recommendation that can be given.
Advertised as "kid-friendly" but definitely is not as there is a fee per child, sites are inches away from each other, and the closest activities are in town. Made the mistake of making reservations but canceled after the first night and paid a fee just to stay elsewhere. Moved to a nicer park closer to town and had a much better experience.
Excellent environment Interesting conversation Wonderful food Always something interesting going on
Owners speak many languages are friendly and helpful towards everyone.
Nice quiet campground and you can still get cell service.
True camping experience with showers and laundry facilities. Too bad about the fire ban!
Great restrooms and showers. The restaurant on site has amazing food. Staff is very friendly and accomidating.
(Translated) Very good, nicely laid out campsite with a friendly welcome. Wifi (limited) and showers available. Thank you (Original) Sehr guter, hübsch angelegter Campingplatz mit freundlichem Empfang. Wifi (begrenzt) und Duschen vorhanden. Danke
If you like clean private bathrooms, you have found your place, individual bathrooms people, what else can you ask for,I give it 5 stars.
Steve and Sandra have made our transition to the Yukon even more of a pleasure. They have made us feel we are family and that we are home. Outstanding park run by truly wonderful people.
Caribou was a great stop in the road to Alaska. I highly recommend staying with them. The owners were friendly, the spots had enough clearance to pull in which beats other RV parks in the area.
(Translated) Very nice operator couple, very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure! Everything was very comfortable and clean. (German speaking) we can only recommend (Original) Sehr nettes betreiberpaar, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Immer gerne wieder! alles sehr gemütlich und sauber.( Deutschsprachig) können wir nur empfehlen ????????????????????
Super friendly owners. Laundry was very clean and in working order. We stayed here 3 years ago under the previous ownership. The new owner has made several improvements to make it even nicer. Restaraunt next door was within walking distance and Caribou owner was willing to call and check availability. Definitely would stay here when in the area and recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
Steve and sandra are amazing people. Very friendly and helped with isolating without a issue. Beautiful ol campground, with amazing sites. Highly recommend. Let me add the amazing trails for dog walking, quality of drinking water and all the amenities these wonderful and kid people offer here. Coursegoldexploration.ca will be adding you too their site and spreading the word about this amazing establishment. God bless steve and sandra
Great
Has water and electric. Dump station. Nice sites. Helpful owner. Close to Whitehorse, but not in all the confusion.
This is a diamond in the rough. True camping experience with power, water, laundry and showers-all extremely neat and clean. There is a little Swiss restaurant attached to the campground and the food is amazing. We’ve stayed here twice in the past 2 weeks and the staff are so helpful and nice.
While the campground is fairly clean and hot showers are free, the "free Wifi" consists of 50 MB which is a joke in times of WhatsApp and Facebook with pictures and videos. Full hook-up sites are pretty even, dry sites aren't as they are primarily intended for tents with footprints smaller than RVs.
We have traveled from Indiana to Alaska, and this campground was the nicest and cleanest that we have stayed at! Very nice couple who runs it! You’ll love the hot showers.
Even though I had to stay here because of COVID self-isolation and not just a vacation stay, the owners were extremely nice and helped me with anything I needed. Thank you guys so much! Would recommend to anyone going to Whitehorse for a little camping.
We have not stayed at the park because we could not make it but owner was so accommodating and so understanding. We sure appreciate his good customer service.
Very nice campground with great bathrooms and an amazingly good restaurant. It's a bit far from town but worth the extra few minutes.
Steve and Sandra are truly devoted to their park. They maintain high standards in cleanliness and are exceptionally friendly. The location is quiet, and is a close enough to the city, without being too close.
(Translated) Have this feels at home (Original) Ont ce sent chez soi
(Translated) Great place near Whitehorse, nice owners. I can only recommend. (Original) Toller Platz in der Nähe von Whitehorse, nette Besitzer. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
very nice campground
Steve, the owner was incredibly helpful. He helped us with sightseeing, hikes and route planning. His suggestions were spot on. The sites are clean and well maintained, as well as the shower & laundry facilities. Special bonus was the availability of fresh bread and pastry delivery! Omg don’t miss out on this. We would stay here again.
Sites we a bit small. Parking lot type. Friendly staff.
We loved this park. The owners have done a great job keeping things in good order. Clean, neat and everything works. Big laundry room. I would definitely go there again.
This is the best RV Park in all Canada. On top of quality services that you can expect in every campground, we found the staff very friendly and helpful, the location is great as we don't like to park downton, there are small hikes all around. The washrooms are like at home : clean, warm water and privacy. There are events and celebrations. The grocery store is well stocked and there are some quality local products, including some fresh bread and eggs, and when we don't feel like cooking, we just walk to the neighbor restaurant. Thank you!
Steve was not only charming, courteous and helpful, he taught me what a "loonie"and a "toonie" is. Also it was obvious that the husband and wife team take great pride in their life long dream of owning an RV park. We will definitely stay there again on our return trip home.
(Translated) The hosts are great! We spent 6 nights at the campsite, it was awesome. Away from the city, the pitches are really nice under the trees, it's very comfortable with showers, laundry, car wash, small supermarket! Go there with your eyes closed!
Stayed here for one night while on an RV road trip but it was a great place to stay! Owners are super friendly and will help you with anything you need. Showers and facility very clean. It is just off the highway but the trees block out most of the road noise.
What a nice and relaxed campground/rv park & the new owners are superfriendly and very helpful! We highly recommend staying there!
We had a wonderfull stay. The facilities are nice and super clean. There is a little shop, a kitchen place to wash dishes, a laundry and you can also wash your vehicule. The staff is very kind and helpfull.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sites are somewhat small and close together. I will say on our return through Whitehorse we should have stayed here but stayed in a different park where they were even more packed in. What is hard to understand about RV Parks both in Canada and Alaska is a huge expanse of land but RV parks are all tightly packed in a very small space.
Great stay - fabulous hosts! I spent my 2-week isolation in the suite that the have. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and that safety measure were in place. I was there over thanksgiving and they gave me a thanksgiving dinner because I was isolating over the holiday. Would definitely recommend this stay.
Amazing
Wonderful and kind owners who have a beautiful RV park. Driving through to Alaska during this crazy time and they had sites specifically for through travelers. I would definitely recommend them and would stay here again if I am in the area.
Nice for a night or two. Staff is friendly and helpful. Watch for mosquitos, some of the spaces are tight. We were in a pull in and it took some maneuvering to get out. WiFi is spotty, but there’s an excellent phone signal. It IS a ways into Whitehorse if you have to take your motor home to go. I recommend it.
Good place, close to Whitehorse, nice washrooms/showers. Laundry room and reasonably priced. Nice owners.
Really enjoyed our visit. Loved being able to get fresh made bread everyday. Staff was very welcoming! If we drive through on our way home, we will definitely stay there!!
We loved our stays at Caribou RV Park. The spaces are a good size, there are a lot of trees, the restrooms are very nice and cleaned regularly. The owners are really nice people too, which honestly made the whole thing that much better. You can tell they want to be there and enjoy their work. They're a couple from Luxembourg that always wanted to own an RV park so they could travel half the year, and they did it! It's great to see people living their dreams. One nice touch is that they have fresh bread delivered by a Swiss baker several times a week. You put your order in the day before and they deliver it by 8am the next morning. And it's amazing bread. We got the kaiser rolls and horseshoe pastries. I've never had anything like it. We extended our first stay on our way through to Alaska because we liked it, and chose to stay there again on our way back through to the south. Highly recommend.
Clean, quiet and extremely friendly, not just a parking lot . . . Clean hot showers with no tokens or timers. Great advice on things to do. Nicely stocked shop with practical RV needs on hand. One of our most pleasant stays in the north country so far.
Beautiful setting on the lake, and friendly service
Great communication. Nice little park on the edge of town. A little cramped, but seemed to be well-kept and well-managed. Thank you for your assistance in getting me across the border and through the Yukon during the pandemic.
Great place, great sites, open year round!
Outside of Whitehorse with all amenities. Washrooms with showers and laundry machines.
We were made to call and make reservations by the Canadian border guard. We found out later that the border guard was wrong to make us do this from Canada’s border services. I grew up in Ontario but live in the US now. When I called Caribou rv park to make reservations they were very helpful on the phone and let us make our reservation. Do to bad weather we were not able to make it to the park in time. I called border services and that was when we found out the guard at the border had no authority to make us get the reservations. The Yukon territories also only gave us 24 hours to get through back to Alaska otherwise we probably would have stopped in. We had paid for a night in the park but couldn’t use it. The park looked nice from the road as we drove by in the middle of the day. Maybe next time we will get to stay there.
A great place to stay. Steve and Sandra provide great service. Especially in the time of Covid. They took every precaution required and were very accommodating in meeting our needs. The facilities are clean and well attended by the staff. They have sites to ;accommodate our 37ft fifth wheel trailer to cyclists with tents.
Super friendly and very clean washrooms and laundry. We chose a more private site and it worked very well for us.
Very nice campground! Very clean and super helpful and friendly owners/manager
Came in late night, paid at their self registration, it was an easy check in and left early in the morning. Bathrooms were very nice and clean.
We were very happy with Caribou Park which was under new ownership. They had a nice store with items RVers might need and also some local products for sale. It was very quiet. Check TripAdvisor for more and more elaborate reviews.
Wonderful, family friendly place to stay! Facilities were super clean and owners are great! Highly recommend!
The large rig pull through spots were so close together... Well, really close. But there were some really nice spots in more wooded areas for smaller rigs. But the new owners went out of their way to be so helpful and kind that I have it a strong 4 stars! And it is clean and well kept!
Friendly staff, good laundry facility and showers.
Much improvement under new ownership. Wifi, as in most RV parks, leaves a lot to be desired.
Looks very nice, was full when we were looking for a camp site
Recent multiple night stay and our way North. Plan to stay on our return. Everything about the park is positive. The owners work REALLY hard to keep this park in good shape. Several times a week you can order home baked bread delivered right to the park. The restrooms/showers are nice and clean - we like the privacy the design offers (toilet, sink, shower in one room). There are only four, so depending on when you want to use them, you could have a wait. We used the laundry facilities and had no issues. I think there are five washers and dryers. The park has a centralized dumping point and a select number of serviced sites also have cable tv. There is also a RV wash which is nice and the nearby Wolf's Den is a must place to eat, though we read it is up for sale. Wifi is available, you get a "ticket" to log in. As I mentioned earlier, the owners are great, they helped us with reservations at another park along our route and helped me with some minor repairs I had to make to my rig. They are also a wealth of knowledge concerning Whitehorse and the surrounding area. We did a day trip to Skagway and they made some recommendations on must see things that made the trip all the better. If you are in the area and need a place to stay, check our Caribou RV Park and say hi to the folks in the office.
