Great staff! Great food! The lower rating is because when we were there they ran out of 1/2 of their already limited menu, and they still had 2 hours until close.
The menu was creative and the meal presentation was beautiful. The food was amazing. Our waitress was enthusiastic about the food/restaurant. She was able to recommend dishes which we ordered, and we were not disappointed!! The atmosphere was charming and trendy. I would highly recommend eating at this restaurant.
Great food! Delicious and cozy space for lunch- quick and friendly staff.
Tasty food and an unexpected (family friendly) burlesque show!
Burnt toast cafe holds my worst experience at a restaurant. Terrible service, poorly cooked breakfast and such a memorable bad experience. I thought it was just bad Timing so we went and second time and had the same experience.
Awesome Cafe. Both food and service was solid. Menu has local cuisine for curious tourists to try.
Used to be a favorite place, but was really disappointed when they closed for dinner service. It's quite pricey, but the food is great.
This is a definite must go eatery when in Whitehorse. Great food with a great vibe. Most days busy for lunch but I can see why. Have eaten here in 3 occasions when in the Yukon. I make it a must go to when I do visit. Try it out and you won’t be disappointed.
Good food but the service was really bad, super slow and the lady with the feets and hands tattooed on her back was grumpy as hell, to close the automatic gratuity of 20% was a robbery considering the service provided.
An intimate Yukon dining experience in the heart of Whitehorse. Burnt toast serves modern comfort food with great coffee refills and has plenty of capacity. The best cafe in town but unfortunately has limited opening hours in the colder months. Easy parking and a good Ambience to enjoy your meal.
The Waitresses were professional and quick. The menu was inclusive to all diets, had many options and was reasonably priced. Great place for breaky
I got the Mexican chicken sandwich on gluten free and really liked it! The only reason it wasn’t a 5 star experience was because they ran out of coffee, but it was a holiday and they were slammed with a line out the door.
Our tour guide suggested this to one of the best eats in Whitehorse but it's a bit overrated. Chicken wings are unseasoned, the Jambalaya was so chuck full of sauce that's so overpowering and the carbonara is a bit bland. But the french fries are great.
Best Lox bagel I have had in a while everyone else really enjoyed thier breakfast as well. Espresso was delicious as well. Very fast service
Great little place. What the pulled pork sandwich and the house special burger (I forgot the name). Both were fantastic. The burger has some kind of garlic mayo on it that really makes the flavours come together. Only one server was on shift so we had a bit of a wait but not too bad.
Went for brunch. Food was good, service was prompt and good. No complaints at all.
Warm, comfortable space with a great selection of vegetarian, and gluten free options. Friendly staff.
Great choice of items on the menu, and excellent service. Best to come early; we arrived at 11:45 for lunch
Food was nice and filling. However trying to know if they are open walking by or driving by is a mystery. Then sitting inside is depressing with the black walls.
It’s serve hot coffee although the barista not giving you warm vibe to comfort your days sometimes. They need to have more selection of coffee but overall is good coffee. The place for chat, bit dirty not that neat but seems people hangout and meet up for brunch cause it’s right located next to the famous Klondike rib salmon restaurant There’s not a lot of room, the place is small but still can catered group of 5/6 in one table. They serve sandwich and western food the grilled cheese meat is bit pricey compared with other diner, but they serve good vegetarian burger
Stayed here in Whitehorse on my way to Dawson city . Had dinner at the burnt toast and it was simply delicious . We ordered the Edamame the salads and the curry dish . They were all so good . Was surprised there was not a Longer line outside . It did get busy when we left . Service was good and the place cute .
Amazing food! The menu has so many yummy options, coffee is good, service is good, and the vibe is so nice!
Tasty, busy on a Saturday mid-morning but thankful to the staff for putting us on a wait list and giving us a call when our table was ready. We'll be back.
Nice quaint brunch place. Really nice server. Big enough portions.
Cute and cosy place with tasty burger with friendly and professional staff. I enjoyed my time.
Girlfriend and I went here for breakfast. I had a wonderful croissant french toast, something new I had never tried. Well worth trying. GF had the croque madame. The waitress admit she didn't know what it actually meant, but she was kind enough to go google it. Learned a little something while having some damn fine Whitehorse breakfast. Worth checking out, probably during less crowded hours though as I suspect they're busy in the morning
Lovely atmosphere, tasty food, and the portions aren't excessive. It was perfect for us, we finished our plates without feing like we had to stretch our stomachs or throw the sides out.
The brunch is amazingly delicious. We were in town for the weekend and went here both Saturday and Sunday. The servers are friendly and attentive, and the crowd shows how popular this place is. 5 minutes after opening, the place is full, so get there right when doors open!! I’m trying to decide which meals to recommend but can’t because it’s all good!
Fantastic spot for lunch. Enjoyed the Diablo cocktail along with an awesome Beef dip style sandwich on a pretzel bun.
Best food in town! Amazing staff! Loved it!
Had lunch ....grilled cheese and ham and tomato soup and it was delicous! Service was fast and staff was very friendly. What a nice gem to find while visiting Whitehorse
Brunch
Super yummy breakfast. Filled me right up and left me feeling good afterwords. Not a lot of breakfast places do that for you. Not that it's only a breakfast place, but that's what I had when I went.
Meal type
Great breakfast. Friendly atmosphere. Busy but waitresses run around like crazy.
The smoked Salmon bagel was excellent! As a tourist this is the perfect breakfast place
Best breakfast place in town, never a line on the weekend we were here.
Great restaurant. I always bring visiting family and friends here because I know the meals will be a hit.
Delicious food, quick and friendly service. I had the pulled pork breakfast skillet which was the special for the weekend and it was very flavourful and filling. Crispy potatoes and crunchy sourdough toast on the side. Very cozy and highly recommended!
Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
The food here was very good but I found the staff unfriendly. The table besides us had just paid their bill and were asked to leave right away so they could seat new paying customers. I always feel brunch is meant to enjoy with your friends and relax ... not be asked to leave right after paying so the next person could get on the carrousel.
Great food, atmosphere, and staff! The coffee is also great! I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast!
We had a wonderful experience here! Boyfriend had the blueberry elk sausage & loved it. I emailed about a week ahead before visiting and asked about vegan options. The chef messaged back and was extremely helpful! Gave me lots of options and told me to let him know when we were coming by and he would let the staff know. The kitchen saved me the last bowl of the vegetarian coconut curry (vegan if you sub the naan for sourdough) and it was super filling and tasty! Would definitely recommend ! If we are ever back in Whitehorse would love to also try the humble salad.
Good food but if your in a hurry it might take a bit to get your food. We ordered delicious scrambled eggs and they call it the English Breakfast. Hash-browns and wheat toast that had to have been fresh baked. Nice atmosphere old wooden tables, but I noticed business was being done by others where there was ample room to have a group.meet.
Delicious food at a good price - lots of choices. We would definitely recommend! (but not for kids)
We had 3 hours for auto repair so not in a rush. Staff was pleasant and after 10 min, slow! Food was ok-bacon limp, coffee great and toast barely had butter. Nice decor, nice staff, ok food. I will try another next time.
Excellent quality food! Very fast service as well! This place is also very cozy. Definitely a "must place" to eat when in Whitehorse.
Absolutely phenomenal food, the croque madamr was quite french toasty with the right amount of tart to match the sweetness of the maple syrup that's included
The place is really nice and busy, we went for breakfast and omg!! Delicious!! The bread the fresh juice, even the eggs, the most tasty eggs ever, the only bad thing was the waitress, I think she was tired already but the place is awesome
What a fantastic local restaurant! Their breakfast sandwich is simple and timeless - absolutely delicious! While I try to diversify what I order for lunch from Burnt Toast, their Burnt Toast Clubhouse Panini is my favourite thing on their menu and I get it every time! The Gruyere cheese and cranberry mayo that they use will leave you wishing you had a bigger belly for more!
The food was good. The Caesar was great (the Canadian Bloody Mary). Staff was friendly, but a little overworked
Relaxing little diner with super friendly staff. The food was fantastic. I had breakfast one day and lunch another.
Quaint little cafe with a chill vibe. Breakfast was very yummy and wholesome. Ordered the veggie scramble with a side of peameal bacon. The potatoes were a little too well done so some of them crumbled and tasted a little charred. Otherwise the server was really nice, she was friendly and accommodating. Will come again next time I come back to Whitehorse.
I had late lunch and ordered the "Pulled Pork Sandwich with truffle fries”. The service was okay – I think the waitress was probably tired after a long shift. She wasn’t friendly. The food was average in my opinion…pork was rather overcooked. The truffle fries were not too bad but it’s very oily.
Used to love this place! Now it feels like the quality has really gone downhill. Have heard the same complaint from friends. The service is certainly not as good as it used to be and ESPECIALLY the quality of the ingredients has significantly dropped :(
Delicious food and friendly service. Be prepared to wait a little bit as it does get quite busy. Also its only open for breakfast, brunch and lunch so get there early.
Beautiful atmosphere and lovely team of people! This is a great group who clearly demonstrate a passion for excellent service, warm, cozy ambiance, and strong support for local business. I will be back for more very soon! ????
The salmon salad is a great break from your usual road trip fare. Fast service and generous portions.
I’m a local…..been there twice and service hasn’t been the best.
Service is lackluster. From the start, there is no waiting area. With minimal seating, patrons were walking in and turning around and walking back out. No written waiting list. This resulted in mass confusion as people crowded in by the front door. No acknowledgement of new patrons walking in! After waiting and being seated, food came out fairly quickly. However, that's again where service stopped. No coffee refills, no check-ins to see how food was or if there was anything else they could get us. A shame really, because the food and coffee were not only delicious, but well presented. If it looks busy, avoid this place. You can get better service elsewhere. Maybe I'll revisit someday to see if things have changed. Maybe some staff training?
Very good service and delicious food! Perfect for brunch and breakfasts!
Toast was RAW! Literally my favorite kind of toast. Asked for it rare and they delivered. It first happened when I walked in the door. BIG whiff of burnt toast. It was the first time I knew. From that moment. It was extasy. Brekky is yum. Ohhh my god. Ohhhhh my god yes. That was when I knew, we would ALWAYS love this place. It was where we fell in love. 5/5
Good service. Good food
Such a lovely cafe! I really enjoyed my meal - delicious and such a generous serving. Wait staff were lovely and really welcoming. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Whitehorse.
Excellent service despite being understaffed. My sister and I got the chicken and waffle special. Waffles were very dry. Barely edible and there was no sauce besides a bit of syrup. Maybe the menu items are more thought out.
A must go to in Whitehorse. Good food and atmosphere, even in the winter prepare to wait for a table. Totally worth it. My preference is to have the soup with a sandwich as they are usually excellent.
Fun and lovely atmosphere with great food and great service.
The waitress was real and the music was consistently on point! The breakfast was excellent and the service was incredible, despite the large Sourdough Rendezvous crowd and my own party of 5. I had to go back again for that Cowboy Scramble!
Came back 2 days in a row! Loved the food and the service was great and friendly! Thanks Whitehorse for the great food and lovely memories... Rielle from Yellowknife
Our group of 6 came to Burnt Toast twice in our holiday. Vibing music, amazing service and great great food. Some of the best food in Canada with its fresh produce and full flavours. Rene served us on both occasions and most certainly influenced our return with her incredible service. Would reccomend to all. Highlights include - Truffle Fries, Pulled Pork Poutine, Mediterranean Veggie Burger and the Lemon Curd Mouse. Thank you Burnt Toast and especially Rene!
Food was fantastic. Really cool atmosphere. Only reason for not rating 5 stars was because the service was not particularly friendly... and it seems others have had the same experience. 5/5 for their breakfast menu though!
Salmon (wrap or salad) is consistently not good (fishy). Big portions. Coffee is very good. Maple balsamic dressing and green salad is quite good. Tomato basil soup just ok, but not creamy so don’t expect a rich taste.
House-made maple sausage was SO good! Very busy spot, try to make time to have breakfast here at least once.
Food delicious but the owner needs to smile more. Clients feel your negative energy. Be more polite.. because of us, your clients, you have this business. Good luck!
Stopped in for dinner on an August Thursday eve and, happily, were seated fairly quickly. Things went rapidly downhill from there. We didn't get any attention for at least 10 minutes and when the young server did get to us she did not say anything (no greeting of any kind), but wordlessly dropped (literally) two menus on the table and walked away. We made selections, closed the menus and another 10 minutes passed until she returned at which time she only issued the terse question "are you ready to order". Our tasty starter salad came quickly but we had barely started into it when our main courses arrived. The surly server wordlessly plopped them onto the, now crowded, table and disappeared. We never saw her again until we were ready to leave. At no time did we hear any word of welcome or thanks from the server; if anything her arrogant manner clearly communicated she felt she was doing us the biggest favour and really not worth her time. The food was quite good but this ranks up there with the worst customer service I have ever experienced and pretty much ruined what should have been a lovely evening out.
One of my must stops when I'm in Whitehorse. Love their brunch!
Have eaten here twice, i loved the waitress who served us! Super good food and amazing drinks
Great environment. Feels like a cabin. Best veggie burgers we have ever eaten in our lives! Coming from Vancouver. We have been eating majority vegetarian food for years. Mainly meat dishes but they looked good as well. A bit pricey for the grilled cheese but the veggie burger was decently price. Keep in mind we are not familiar with whitehorse prices at this point
Had lunch here and it was perfect, I had the “Baron of Beef” and the classic Reuben sandwich with a poutine, food was very delicious, meat had very good flavour. The place gets very busy for lunch, you definitely want to be there early. I didn’t have to wait too long for the food either after we placed the order, staff is very professional and friendly.
Delicious food here! Great service, great staff, great vibe! Pls be open more!
Greatest brunch and breakfast place in town! The staff is really kind and welcoming, keep it up, it's the hardknock life!
I had a tomato and basil soup which was delicious but tad bit spicy for me. Humble salad with club panini w shredded chicken. I love the salad and the panini was OK. Overall a nice place to eat.
Quaint, cozy little cafe is not pretentious and a nice place to sit. Pricing and service OK. Has a regular clientele of local workers for lynch. Order carefully, the food is a bit of a lottery. Truffle fries came out overcooked and cool. Drip coffee only. Some gluten free options. Worth a visit.
Yummy breakfast and dinner! Next time I'll try lunch too. Very tasty food and good service. Nice ambience and right in the heart of downtown so easy walking distance from hotels and shops. Salads are superb...as are the truffled French fries! Try the place out...you'll be back for sure!
We ordered Lamb Tacos and Mediterranean stuffed chicken breast. Both of the dishes were bland.
I have never had good customer service going here and I've learned thats it's not the place for friendly waitresses. They are all sour, abrupt and rude. But it wasn't until 2 days ago that I finally had enough. When we entered the restaurant we quickly realized it was busy and that there may not be space for our table of 7. The waitress was a bit hasty and ended up just pointing at a table and telling us to "go sit there". When we got to the table we realized there was an elderly First Natioms man sitting at the table who look like he was waiting to order. We sat next to him and I began chatting with him. He was very very kind yet a little bit intoxicated. He said he was from Old Crow and that he was in Whitehorse for business (trap lines) and that he heard the food was good at Burnt Toast. We asked him what he ordered and he said he had tried to order a sandwhich but that the servers were ignoring him. When the server came for our orders we made it very clear that he was going to be ordering with us. This seemed to set the waitress off a little bit. I'm not sure what their intentions were to ignore this man but in the end it made him so sad that he began to cry and say that no one takes him seriously or treats him as normal in Whitehorse and that he misses Old Crow. This racist and discriminating encounter has made me never want to enter that place again. The food wasnt even worth it.
My favourite lunch place in Whitehorse - always unique, excellent food and great service.
Awesome cafe. Good strong coffee, unique breakfast menu with selections to please all, and a really excellent presentation on the meals (we eat first with our eyes don’t we?). Finally Brittani and Megan were friendly and helpful which made for a very enjoyable experience.
Loved the food here. Great gluten-free options. Cute restaurant with a warm, independent shop feel.
We visited this cute little restaurant while visiting Whitehorse!!! It was super busy and so many people everywhere. Supper loud as well. We waited over 20 minutes for table. Seems like that’s normal for that place. We had to share a table with another group. We didn’t get a choice since it was packed. Didn’t really know who out waitress was because it seems like all 3 girls took care of all the tables. Fast service great food. My one and only complaint was we didn’t get looked after to see if we needed any coffee or water refills. Every time we needed something I felt I was inconvenience them.
Really good vegetarian options. Food was really good. Went a couples times and it was delicious both times
Best place to get a Sunday breakfast, and a show.
I had breakfast with my family here it was good food but when time to pay very rude staff member took all good feelings away. Came away with very negative feelings. Maybe only a place for locals not tourists.
This was one of the worst lunch experiences I've had. My friend showed up at 11:45am to make that sure we got seated. She was seated at a table for 4 and when I got there at 11:55am the waitress said we were no longer allowed to sit at a table for 4 because we were only a party of 2. She briskly said "Management rules, I don't make the rules". And let me be clear - there was no party of 4 people waiting for a table - we were just arbitrarily being kicked out of table after my friend had sat there for 10 minutes, had started a glass of water and was reviewing the menu. We stood there, without a table while she walked away to take care of someone else. We looked around the restaurant for a table for 2 and there was none. We told her it was ridiculous that we were being kicked out of our table when we were there early. "Sorry, not my problem". We told her that we were leaving and that they won't be getting our business again. "Ok. It's management rules and I can't change them". When the owner finally got back to me she wanted a description of the waitress - without an apology. I gave one and her response was "I am sorry that is your experience but business is up over 30% so not everyone feels the same. The offer remains if you change your mind. Cheers". Then she shared some very personal information about the waitress and excused the whole matter as unimportant and justified due to the waitress' situation. Ending your sentence with "Cheers" doesn't make it 'all better'. Terrible, disgraceful - no wonder the waitresses don't understand customer service if this is the manager's attitude.
Great breakfast, good coffee, amazing customer service. IF I ever have to drive back to Alaska, I would definitely eat here again.
Loved it. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, home fries and sourdough toast! Excellent coffee too.
We visited here for lunch. It was a busy time in the restaurant. The food was good enough for me. It's a place to try out for sure.
Little cozy unique place for hangout The place is located next to barber and famous rib restaurant can’t missed it The server Megan is friendly bubbly and nice The menu mostly western food with touch of homemade cuisine also with vegan selection the food portion is huge for me but taste great The entrance look somewhat like bar at first impression ????but it wasn’t they do have bar corner but for serve good coffee
Service
Had a very good brunch there for a fair price. Staff were friendly and fast. Highly recommended.
always great food, they have lots of gluten free options, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere.
Better be here early as there was already queue before opening on Sunday morning. Very happy and friendly staff and The Big Dawg Breakfast was ace! Another breakfast visit on midweek was ok, but staff was different and not so happy as their younger colleagues on Sunday.
I had the maple infused sausage and egg breakfast. Delicious!! The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Everything for a great dining experience.
Best breakfast. The menu is impossible to choose from, great drip coffee and excellent coffee. A must go to
Fast service, yummy food. Liked that they had brunch and lunch options, prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Would come back next time I'm in Whitehorse!
Went here for brunch and we do not regret our decision at all. Both my wife and I got a skillet and it was the best we've ever had. A must go-to if you ever stop by Whitehorse.
Great menu, atmosphere and prices. I will definitely eat here again. Thank you !
We had our first meal here. We ordered the huevos rancheros and Holly breakfast with eggs, hash, hollandaise sauce. It was pretty good and filling but I wished the hash was not halved potatoes but actual hash browns would have made my meal better.
I wasn't expecting some of the best food I've had in Canada to be from this little cafe in Whitehorse. The curry I had was amazing, and the rest of my party loved their food too. Absolutely worth the trip and the wait.
Friendly, fun serves and mostly my best dish is the salmon salad. Num numz
Went in on a very busy Sunday lunch hour! They were able to seat us quickly, we only had an hour and made mention that we were a little rushed. They took such amazing care of us! Our food came wayyy faster than we expected it to which was perfect! The Hangover skillet was to die for! Great service, great food!
Burnt Toast Cafe lives up to its hipe. Not only is it a great place for tourists to hang out but also a nice place for lunch for people working around that area. I had a veggie burger, truffle fries and hot chocolate. Let's start with the burger - it is for sure one of the best tasting vegetarian burgers I have ever had. The patty was delicious and not at all soggy which is an issue with most vegetarian burger patties. Hot chocolate was presented well though it was not as hot as I would like. Still it was a perfect drink for a cold snowy day. Best one saved for the last - 'TRUFFLE FRIES' - These are the best truffle fries ever. You can not go to this cafe and not order Truffle Fries. They are a must. I was gonna give 4 stars due to not so 'hot' chocolate (bad with puns) but Truffle fries were out of this world. Just because of that this cafe deserves a 5 star. Cheers!! Will be back soon!! One more happy customer :)
Being in the restaurant and hospitality industry it’s astonishing to me the way these owners speak about potential paying customers and other businesses. Even if the food and service is good, I would not recommend going to an establishment like this where the owners trash other people and are extremely disrespectful. Lots of other great restaurants in town.
Very fun breakfast place. We had the cowboy scramble and the salmon scramble. Filling and flavorful. Nice strong coffee. Would love to visit again.
I heard Burnt Toast known for breakfast but I have always come back for dinner. Every meal I have had, I have thoroughly enjoyed, and the menu is varied enough to fill any or most cravings. Friendly service, cozy, nice and low key decor. One of my favourite places to eat in Whitehorse. My partner did wish he got two delicious elk sausages instead of one.
A good place to enjoy brunch. The price is moderate, and WiFi is not available.
Food was 5 stars, service was 2 stars. Table next to us, they lost their food ticket and were told after sitting there for an hour. Only two servers, younger girl was nice, other server felt like if we asked anything that we were inconviencing her during her busy shift.
Great food and service. An amazing breakfast/brunch menu, local coffee, and they offer half portions. We will be back to try lunch sometime!
One of the few places in Whitehorse where service, food, ambiance and prices are all four good.
Such a great place for Breakfast or brunch. Extremely flavorsome food. Loved it.
Great service. The croissant French toast is amazing ????
Just okay. I don't care for French food. I like simple and they even complicated the sausage so that it's sweet and mostly unidentifiable. Chives all over the potatoes and the eggs were tiny but okay. Service was good but the karaf of water preplaced on the table could use a washing. It was okay but not for an insane price. $14+ for a breakfast plate is really expensive. Bonus, my son ordered plain sausage and plain eggs and ate it all.
Waited a long time for my food, which was mediocre. I had heard such great things maybe my expectations were too high. The service was slow the server seemed very uninterested in doing a good job. My cutlery was dirty, I had to wait another 15 mins before I could even eat my food. Not great probably won’t go back.
The food and service was excellent. One of the best Cesar's I've had in a long time!
Really good food, but the service left something to be desired. We kind of felt like we were imposing, but the food quality was excellent.
Great service! Incredibly friendly, with great-tasting, reasonably-priced food. Highly recommend! Try the green eggs (pesto, parmesan, & prosciutto)!
The food is great nonetheless... but the service was horrendous. The last time I ate there we were seated for a lunch special. Was told she would be right back to take the order and 30 mins went by before we decided to give our money and 20% tip to the friendly service at 506. The sever seemed to run behind with less then half a dozen tables. When she was questioned she would snap back at the patrons and seem a bit short fused. Horrible face for the restaurant, however hats off to the cooks.
You need a breakfast? This ist the best Place in Whitehorse to get It! A good choice of different breakfast meals and also a good Coffee. You can find sweet to hearty breakfast.
If you’re looking for a place to grab breakfast look no further, this place is excellent. Upon entering you are greeted with nice wooden decor, a cozy environment. And a good mix of locals and tourists. The menu is small but quality. I’ve tried the huevos rancheros, the croissant French toast, the maple breakfast sausage as well as the croque madame. My favourite was the croquet madame but all are delicious! Prices are between 10-17$ for breakfast. Staff are friendly and attentive as well- I will be back!
Waited on others that came in after us. Completely ignored us. We finally left
Great food and service. A luvely and hip place fir breakfast!
very good the Rueben waa just exactly how I wanted it
Hello, I am from Morocco and I live in Saudi Arabia. I have worked in a coffee shop since I came to Saudi Arabia and worked in my country for a year. I have a technical diploma with experience in all kinds of hot and cold food and drinks, assistant and waiter, I have 6 years experience in this field,
Wanted a bite before the plane ride home, and this was an excellent choice. Very nice interior hidden within an "interesting" looking exterior. They have a great variety to choose from. The food is quite delicious, well presented and put together rather quickly. They also serve great coffee!
Food was Ah-mazing!!! Service was friendly and prompt. Prices were appropriate. The BELCH was superb as the egg was cooked to perfection. It is so rare that a cafe gets how a fried egg sandwich should work. The truffle fries are delicious. Reuben was tender and tasty. Pulled pork poutine was awesome. Maple balsamic dressing on house salad was unusual and tasty. Highly recommended!
Dine in
I have had lunch at Burnt Toast Cafe. Small portion (!) Tomatoes & Basil soup excellent Alaska Salmon wrap served with humble salad: None of them were humble. Great salad with a delicious dressing, and very tasty Salmon wrap. Ambiance excellent Prices excellent Staff very friendly
This is a lovely little place. They made me a fantastic vegan meal and called it the Vegan Supreme Breakfast! (Although it's not on their menu so you gotta ask.)
Excellent food with generous portions, but the service was uncomfortably bad. Our server had a very rude tone and really seemed like she would have rather been anywhere else.
I think had been our favorite place to eat on our long vacation in Canada. Delicious! Salmon wrap, beef baron, chili soup all fabulous!
Ordered an appetizer over an hour later had not receive them, payed bar tap and told waitress to forget it and left. Other patrons arrived after my party and were served, very disappointed.
Was the slowest service ever, I had to eat my food super fast so I could leave on time to make my flight and my friend could get back to work. An hour for soup and wrap is not ok. There was absolutely no hustle from the kitchen either. Our food was comped tho so at least I didn't pay for food I couldn't really eat. Won't hurry back here any time soon.
Tasty food and they were very accommodating with modifying meals to fit a food intolerance.
I am shocked and disgusted how a small business owner will publicly shame and discriminate against potential paying customers. It’s as if she doesn’t know that the illegal govt mandates will end and she has alienated people who would support her business. This on top of stories from ex employees about how the owner would talk about customers, and restaurant hygiene. I won’t ever step foot in this place again. I feel horrible for the staff. They know.
Great find! Nice variety of interesting offerings in the menu; simple, quiet atmosphere with jazz background; cheerful, efficient service; reasonable prices. Loved it!
Excellent food! Great Truffle Fries! Reasonable prices. One of my favourite places to eat.
Great service and cute small cafe type environment. Friendly staff and fun. Food was great and they give some goood recommendations. Average prices are between 14-20$ for lunch, so average and tasted fresh with big size portions. She also offered a caesar which was amazing. $12 so quite expensive!
Best mushroom soup!! Ever and best servers out here
This place is amazing. We ate their for breakfast and loved it so much that we came back for dinner. It has the trifecta. Great food, atmosphere and service!!
Love, Love, Love this Place -- Whether for brunch or tapas or an evening meal...their food is excellent. Also love their desserts! Its clear there is thought that goes into their food. One of my favorites!
Excellent breakfast ???? staff friendly and efficient. Had the Cowboy scrambler ...was delicious thinking of mending a fence or herding some cattle.
Best breakfasts in Whitehorse we had during our stay. Great chipotle skillet special and brekkie sandwich
Very good experience, customer service was on point! The food was delicious. I will definitely return.
The food was delicious service excellent. Very nice atmosphere too
Had a wonderful experience, but for a group of 5, dinner food took a while. Looked like a busy night and not many servers present.
Great breakfast and good coffee. Our group tried the huevos rancheros, maple banger, and croissant French toast and it was all enjoyed.
Was looking forward to trying a vegetarian lunch but couldn't get placed at a table. The front staff attendant didn't try to accommodate. She seemed happier to see me leave.
Eeeexcellent food, great coffee, superb people. Om nom nom nom. You'd be crazy not to go there!
Love the food. Good price and friendly service. The place was pretty cold when we went makes me hesitent to revisit. Recommend the manager to replace that large front window to tripple pane to save energy and keep the heat in.
