Was here for a Yelp Elite event.. they have paired beautiful dishes along with Jacobs Creek Wine! The ambience is so good and very welcoming.. so are the hosts and the chef is one of the owners. The paired cocktail style dishes were amazing.. especially the Cornish hen parfait was very well done. Also not to forget there are other pairings but the most exciting one was the dessert. Moscato poached pear with lemon ricotta and candied walnuts was just melting in the mouth Would definitely consider them for any catering services and also would suggest friends if they have any events

We had Urban Acorn for our cocktail style wedding and they rocked it! We had so many compliments on the food. They were extremely accommodating to our many dietary restrictions and they were so helpful with so many aspects of the planning. I would recommend them to everyone. It was such a joy and I can't wait to see them for their supper club soon! :)

As always Marie and Chef Danielle hosted a spectacular evening. The mid-west theme was awesome. As with all our experiences with Marie and Danielle, the food presentation was only outdone by how delicious and flavorful each mouthful was.

If you're considering Urban Acorn Catering, do not hesitate - they were the best decision we made for our wedding! Daniel made the most delicious food. He helped us work out a menu that would make our full range of guests, with carnivores, vegans, and everything in between, very happy. The food was one of the most important aspects of the wedding, and Daniel hit it out of the park. There were a variety of creative combinations of local and seasonal ingredients, delicious combinations, and beautiful presentations. Our guests were raving about the food to us during the wedding, and have not stopped talking about it since! Marie Fitrion was incredibly helpful, efficient, and comprehensive in the planning process. She helped us arrange everything from rentals and allergy concerns to day-of arrangements and, of course, the delicious food. She even helped with catering-adjacent planning issues. She was a joy to work with, and would take her time with me on our calls to make sure everything was covered. On the day of, she was an organizing wizard, making sure that everything was in the right place at the right time. All of the staff that helped Marie and Daniel were excellent. They were professional, friendly, and did their jobs well. Kudos to Marie and Daniel for assembling such a great team! I do not have enough words to describe how happy we are with Urban Acorn Catering. Thank you!!!

Chef Daniel Holloway has now taken care of two family functions for catering at our residence. This weekend was very well done. He helped plan a multi course meal from places all over the world, then served each meal as it was being prepared for the guests. He gave a culinary skills session before for all the guests. It made then evening fun and enjoyable. The food was well prepared and the feedback from all the guests was positive. You can't please every persons tastes but overall it was a success. His attendance was spot on, they cleaned up after themselves and were clean through the process, even working in our smaller kitchen. I will using their services again.

I have been lucky to attend a number of Urban Acorn's amazing and delicious supper club events and can easily recommend them to anyone looking for something that will blow their socks off. They are a wonderful team and are such a pleasure to get to know and work with. The food is out of this world in all aspects flavour and presentation. Highly skilled at what they do, they are able to create menus that both wow and satisfy everyone's dietary needs and desires. We've enjoyed their services so much that they were the first on our list to cater our wedding! We are so excited by the menu we've created together and cannot wait to celebrate our big day with their wonderful help. They don't just stop at the food, they take care of so much more than expected, including the staffing, the rentals, etc, and it has been and continues to be an absolute pleasure! I have had numerous events catered by Urban Acorn and been to many of their Supper Club dinners. I cannot recommend them highly enough! Chef Daniel's food is extraordinary in taste and presentation. Everyone from vegans to avowed carnivores, including people with food sensitivities, have always raved about the food at events catered by Urban Acorn. His partner Marie has helped us organize our events beautifully and made sure no detail is overlooked. She is easy to work with. Having the experience of numerous events working with her, I know to trust Marie's advice. Urban Acorn's Vegan Supper Clubs are wonderful events not to be missed! My husband and I often go for date nights. The food is spectacular - inventive, beautiful and delicious. And we have met interesting people each time. A truly unique culinary experience of gourmet vegan cuisine.

We have been to several of urban acorns supper clubs, sampled their food from events around the city, and endured countless people raving about their incredible wedding catering (we just missed being able to get them to do ours and I'm still a wee bit sad about it.) I always have such a nice time at their vegan supper clubs, their atmosphere is always so cozy and welcoming, Daniel and Marie are great hosts and they take the food so seriously, you can always expect something delicious with thoughtful flavours and interesting or unique themes and stories you might not see elsewhere. I've also been really impressed by how they constantly improve on something that was already great. Looking forward to more supper clubs and whatever else they get up to.

Working with Marie and Daniel for our wedding was a dream. One of the challenging aspects of a wedding is coordinating vendors, and working with Marie was like having an event coordinator and an expert caterer at the same time. The advice she gave us, her time, and response to emails was perfect. The cost of our meal was very well defined and every consideration was taken to make it special. The food was extraordinary. We chose to have our first tasting with Urban Acorn and didn’t bother trying anyone else – we loved it immediately. The food was locally sourced, fresh and perfectly presented for each course. We chose to have a vegetarian meal and even our die-hard meat-eater friends were impressed. The food, dining experience, professionalism leading to and at the wedding were amazing. Highly recommended – amazing.

My husband and I had Urban Acorn over to our house for a private dining experience. It was absolutely fantastic start to finish. Daniel came over to start the prep work while my 1.5 year old was finishing dinner and playing before bed. He was so good with her! And the food was beyond!! We chose two appetizers - the potatas bravas with apple sage sausage and the mushroom risotto cake. Both delicious! For our main we had the steak which was mouth watering and the dessert was the pumpkin spice bundt cake with caramel that was to die for. In addition to the food being delicious, locally sourced, and made with care, Daniel's energy and attitude made the experience such a pleasure. Would absolutely recommend Urban Acorn for any private dining experience!

Be dazzled by magical fairy Marie who welcomes you with exuberance while her wizard partner and chef man maintains a meditative cooking state in the back kitchen? I mean, if you know whats good for your soul, gut and overall need to be in a loving community...supper club will be your new staple. You're welcome. P.S it took me 20 minutes to bite through the burger -- not because I'm a slow eater, but because I quickly realized i needed to savour the moment.

The food we had at our tasting was completely different than the food that was served at our wedding. At the tasting and throughout our interaction, we were told that the vegetables may be different as they use seasonal. What we got on our wedding day was a completely different cut of meat that had a large fat pad on the top, a completely different sauce, different seasoning and oh yes different vegetables. Ordering A and receiving B without knowing is bad business, even if it was delicious ...... which it wasn’t. I actually didn’t even want to walk around after dinner to talk to our guests because I felt so embarrassed for what people had to eat. Marie did offer to meet to talk about it. However, I felt like there was no point, even if they gave back 100% of our money it would not undo my disappointment and anger. If these are the types of decisions Marie is comfortable making for such a big event. I worry what business decisions she would make for someone elses event. Good luck.

We had Urban Acorn cater our wedding a couple of years back and have been a loyal follower ever since. The food for our wedding was amazing. It tasted great, was artfully presented and completely fit the style and flavours we expected after having our tasting with them. Not only was the food fantastic, but they put an incredible amount of work into ensuring everything ran smoothly, and that the staff they hired were efficient and professional. Further, at our request Daniel came out of the busy kitchen to introduce each of the meals so that our guests were able to fully appreciate what they were eating including the local elements of the ingredients and some of the interesting components that they used to create the rich flavour profiles. It truly added to the experience. Despite our many requests, the challenges of travelling to, as well as catering at, our somewhat remote farm well outside the city, they were able to keep everything on schedule and to keep everyone's stomachs full and happy. While we weren't at the time, my wife and I have since started working in the wedding industry and we still recognize Marie and Daniel as one of the most amazing vendors to work with based on their quality product, professional and friendly service, and going above and beyond on all the little details. After our wedding we also attended several of their supper clubs and can attest to the fact that their food is reliably of high quality and the friendly and engaging Marie and Daniel you get at your tasting, is the same you get at all of their events. We can't say enough positive things about Marie, Daniel and Urban Acorn.
