It was a busy Sat. night and there were 8 of us and a baby (no reservation, sorry) and they were able to arrange a table for us pretty quickly. Didn't have to wait the 20 minutes like they thought. Our server (cute short guy) was awesome! I live 45 minutes away from the St. Catharine's location....any one wants to go, I'll never say no.

We have a group of nine ladies who come here to celebrate each others birthdays. The VIP room is perfect for our celebrations, quiet and private. The food and staff are amazing and there is no other place we would rather celebrate than Johnny Rocco's.

The atmosphere of the patio is very relaxed. The servers were very attentive and extremely friendly. My 2 year-old son really enjoyed them being interactive with him. The food was incredible. Medium rare rib-eye was perfectly cooked, tender and seasoned to perfection. I've never had asparagus so well cooked in my life, it was tender yet just firm enough to easily eat. The pasta sauce, even for a side of pennè, was flavourful but not overly seasoned. I will definitely be returning a lot in the future, they are blessed with amazing staff in the front and back of house.

A little disappointed with our family meal last night, we have ordered the chicken parm family meal a few times and its always been very good. Last night the pasta was very under cooked and the chicken was overcooked, dry and hard on the edges. We love Johnny Roccos and will continue to support the restaurants takeout, however last night was sub par.

Have been here many times but two hours for lunch was way too long. Had to ask for water three times before it came. Also had to ask for our side dish to be brought out. Had to wait for the kids ice cream because the pizza bar was backed up, not sure how that makes sense. Basically had to wait a long time for everything. Will be a long while before I come back.

Recently I had to retire to care for my husband. We dont get out much so to receive a voucher from my place of work, to have a meal for two at Johnny Rocco's was a nice surprise. The meal was exceptional! We are so pleased we picked Johnny Rocco's out of the 5 place we had been offered. The food was soooooo good and the service over the phone and at the take out area was wonderful. We will return!! Thank you Johnny Rocco's.

I ordered and pre-paid for a meal for my wife at 3pm on Valentines Day for a 6:40pm pick up time on their website. When I arrived at 6:50pm there was a big line outside and more people inside waiting to pick up their pre-paid orders. The woman at the front of the line said her pickup time was 5:45pm and she was told by the staff that they were “a little behind”. I had to pick up my meal from another restaurant across town for 7pm so I left to get that and came back around 7:40pm to find the crowd of people still waiting and my wife’s meal still nowhere to be found. After making dozens of calls only to get a busy signal, 30 minutes later someone finally answered and we were able to pick up my wife’s meal and leave by 8:10pm. I felt sorry for the staff. They were running around like headless chickens and that’s the only reason this is getting2 stars instead of 1. Hopefully the company will be better organized for prepaid orders in the future. We had to re-organize our entire plan for the evening and our food wasn’t as hot and fresh thanks to the 90 additional minutes added to our wait. We likely won’t be ordering from here ever again.

We took some family from out of town (Ottawa) to eat here and everyone enjoyed their food! My wife loves your alfredo sauce pasta and the prime rib was very delicious. I've had rice balls at a relatives house and they are as Italian as they come and your rice balls were just as delicious!

I wish I read the reviews before wasting my time going to this restaurant. I got there and was prompty seated because the restaurant was not busy. Waited 10mins for someone to acknowledge us at the table and she said she would be with us shortly. Another 15mins went by and the server come back out and says she apologizes but she will be with us as soon as she can. She goes to the table beside us and begins to cash them out. It sounded like they jad complained about something they ordered because I heard her say she was taking the item off the bill for them. She goes inside and for another 8more mins then comes back out to take payment from someone else at the same table. Keep in mind this whole time there are 2 workers standing at the front desk doing absolutely nothing and one was even ducked down and hiding the fact that she was drinking. I was highly annoyed because someone could have taken our order for at least a drink. I dine out quite a bit and i have never experienced such poor service. We ended up just leaving because they were taking way too long to take an order. I will never go back and will definitely not recommend anyone waste their time and eat here.

Please stop investing in your dining room and invest in your kitchen. The wait time for food is absolutely unacceptable. Over 25 minutes standing and waiting. The restaurant tonight was under staffed, you can see the stress and frustration on the faces of your employees. I can't imagine what it will be like when the dining room reopens. Other customers waited 15-20 minutes or longer with me. Some were still waiting after I left. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is generally very good but there needs to be a better management system. Its beyond frustrating. Your competition serves food twice as fast and its its just as good. Use this feedback to better your business, and schedule another chef or two to get the orders done in an appropriate time frame.

Food was great. Prices not bad. The nice thing is your actually full when done and taking food home so i didnt mind the prices of our meals. Server was great and attentive even though the place was full. We didn't like the first table they shiwed us but no problem they had us re-seated within a couple of minutes.

Okay so hear me out, the only reason I gave Johnny's a 4 out of 5 is because I am very serious about my spaghetti noodles! I loooove the spaghetti sauce and meatballs but the real deal breaker for me is the spaghetti noodles here. They have these little (line) type of ridges on them, and that's what I love! Unfortunately sometimes they have the regular at home type of smooth pasta noodles and I cannot lie. For me it just is NOT the same! Other than that I love the food here.

The food, ambiance and service is top notch. We love this place! The arancini balls are a must and the pizza is always something to ask for! We are even having our wedding here. If you are looking for a well priced and quality experience while in St. Kitts or Niagara Falls, make the trek over!

Went today for lunch with my wife, been there many times since it opened. Food is first class. Big difference from it's prior life as Domtar paper mill. I had a Asiago Cesar salad with Chicken breast, fabulous, is the only way to describe it. Excellent value at $12 plus $4, for the chicken breast. Huge dinner sized portion, great dressing. You get so used to restaurants where they have a smaller portion for lunch, not at Rocco's. Value for money, quality second to none.

Great place, awesome food, great service. Only one thing that I was surprised with and that was threading cheese with bare hands. Not very hygienic and should have had gloves onto avoid contamination of any kind. Does not stop me from going back sometime for another great dining experience.

Decided last minute to stop in for my birthday celebration dinner. The staff were able to accommodate a table of 7 with little to no notice and had us seated promptly. The food was great and our server even surprised me with icecream complete with a sparkler on top for dessert! Overall great time had by all and we will definitely return again soon!

Love everything about Johnny Rocco's!! They offer gluten free pizza and pasta. Personally, I feel the gluten free pizza is the best I've ever tasted. Love the Caprese Salad, too! Main courses meals include the option of soup or salad. Bread is included, too. Service is superb. Highly recommend Johnny Rocco's Italian Grill.

Usually drive to Lundy’s lane but decided to go to the St. Catherine’s location. Yummy food as always- hot from the oven with all of our dishes. Baked chicken penne and Zias rice balls to start are my go to! Great staff as well

Went to Johnny Roccos during a stay in Niagara on the lake, it was close enough for a cheap cab ride from the BnB we were staying at. The resturaunt was busy when we arrived but we were still attended to very promptly. The food was phenomenal, the desserts were fantastic, and above all it was well priced! A great evening out that I found very memorable, I will be going there again soon.

First time ordering. Ordered online. We received our dinner at 530 it was right on time. But when i open up the salad its litterly brown and wilted. Now im not 100 percent sure but i think you can get sick eating bad lettuce. The pepers were wilted. Was not happy. Then as Im making my sons plate of spaghetti and meatballs from the kids menu. I find his meatball still pink in the middle. This is my first time ever eating here. Im sure the meatballs are mixed with pork so I hope I dontget sick as Im pregnant and ate my spaghetti from the family meal. . Not happy at all mother of 4. Took pics but cant seem to post them

Actually it should be 2.5 stars. Food was good but my husband ordered pasta of his choice which should be linguine and sauce should include mushrooms. Instead he got spaghetti with no mushrooms :-(. My veal parmigiana was tasty. When it comes to drinks, we got different wines that we ordered. We would probably not notice but we went for another glass of the same wine and we got something that looked and tasted different. Question, which one was the one we ordered? The first we liked, the second not so much. Although, at least service was good.

Johnny Rocco's is one of our favourite restaurants. It is worth the wait for a table as the food is fresh, delicious and hot. Service is always friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is pleasant although a little noisy . Thursday night Tapas menu has many choices at great prices.

We Could not eat inside due to pandemic restrictions. However, the ambiance was a beautifully warm and cozy setting of modern meets rustic. When waking through the door for pick up the blended aroma of the wood oven burning and food cooking was an instant comfort. The Pizza and Bruschetta were delicious. I can only imagine the extended menu to be of equal quality.

My in laws have been here many times and we've been to the one in Niagara falls many times and this is the first time I was disappointed. I think it was a bit of a mix of bad service and a struggling kitchen. The waitress took our order and didn't enter it until 15-20 minutes later?? According to one of the managers that was the timeline. Needless to say it took awhile to get our soups and salads. Then dinner was served. I ordered the veal parmesan dinner which is always really good. The pasta wasn't hot and barely warm. Even the veal wasn't as hot as it normally would be. It was still warm and tasty though. Kudos to the waitress for bringing me more pasta even though I said no. It wasn't the best experience BUT I do believe this was a rarity and when I'm back in the area I will come back again. Hopefully next time it'll be better. Also thanks to the managers/supervisors for attempting to make everything better. Customer service is definitely top notch.

Unlike the last time we visited the restaurant(a few months ago), the pizza was on the soggy side lacking crispness. As well, there was noticeably fewer ingredients this time. I was very disappointed with the pizza. The pasta however was excellent and the sauce amazing.

Very disappointed. It was a second time dining in this restaurant, same table, same waitress.... Side plates were dirty, asked waitress to replace it, she brought the new one of same quality....didn't apologize for that. We ordered pizza and pasta, didn't get serving spoon with pasta neither pizza server, had to use hands for pizza because waitress didn't come back to check on us. Only after 15 min got waitress attention and asked to bring the serving spoon for pasta, when it was already almost cold. Did not leave any tips, even though used to it every time. Probably will not come back.

I think this place is far too overrated.. It’s always packed so we tried it expecting something amazing. The mojito was the best part of the meal. I had the lobster ravioli which was so disappointing. It came with a huge pile of pancetta which overpowered everything. The pasta itself was chewy. My partner had a calzone which was ok. For the price I’d go across the street to the keg. Sorry!

If I could give less than a 1 star I would, there was a hair in my pasta which they replaced but I drove all of the way to Welland to find out they made it wrong. I spoke to the owner who promised me a remake and come to find out the manager named Janine is not having that. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. This will be my last time here.

Ordered on line at 749pm. Said it would be delivered by 845pm. Called at 930pm and they didnt notice my order. Manager didnt seem bothered. I asked for my money back and she said she would have to look into it. So we went to the restaurant. She said the food was delivered and on our porch. We asked for our money back loudly with a full patio and all of a sudden she had no problem giving us a refund. Got home to food that was mediocre at best. We didn't end up eating until 10pm. Would not recommend especially takeout. Terrible people and service. Way too over priced too!! Also they had people inside at the bar. Didnt think that was allowed yet. They're lucky to have gotten one star!

Services not that great. Waitress kept walking away while we tried to ask for something. Some orders came out wrong. One steak was actually re-cooked and brought back out and served. Kids orders were only half brought out we had to ask for there fries twice. Has to ask for water 5times before getting it... Not a good night at all!

The service and the food were awesome! The eggplant parmigiana was delicious (and beautiful to look at). Everyone in our party of 8 enjoyed their meals (veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.). I am looking forward to a return visit - and despite the extensive menu, I will probably order the eggplant parmigiana again (but maybe this time I'll try a side of spaghetti instead of the penne). So good!

This use to be one of my favourite places to eat at. Over the past few years the quality of the food has changed. I visited about 6 month ago and had a great meal, so I decided to add this back on my list of places to go. About a month ago I ordered from Jonny Rocco's again this time take out and have decided that I never going to eat here again. The food was cold, undercooked, and looked like portion sizes have changed once again, with it still having a high ticket price attached.

Was very disappointed in the customer service upon arriving. Upon arriving, we were told that the wait would only be 15 minutes, 20 minutes later we were then told 35 more minutes. It took us over an hour to be seated (practically in the lobby). The miscommunication between the host and the guests was very frustrating. I'd expect to wait longer than they tell you. Beside the initial impression, the service otherwise was great, the restaurant was clean and the food was pretty good.

the quality of food has gone down so much in the past year sadly. why are they putting so much olive oil on a already super thin pizza? they didn’t do this before and now it’s made their pizzas inedible. I dined in not too long ago and same thing the pizza was drenched in oil that all the cheese and sauce just falls right off.. Spent $20 on this and a cesar salad for lunch and im very disappointed. please please please go back to your old way of making pizzas those were the best!

My wife and I went there to try this cool looking place. We were told 20 mins for a table at 6.30 we patiently waited untill finally being seated at 7.30. Our app and drinks came quickly but our main didnt come out till 9.20. So to compensare our wait the poor waiter has to give bread and oil multiple times and continue to appologise for the wait. When the main finally came it was such a let down, way too much sauce like it was put together for a prisoner. My wife almost cried and we didnt even stay for desert. During our wait we even saw meals delivered to the wrong table which I know can happen but then the waiter was flagged down and they simply picked it up and moved it to the right table, which pre covid would have been fine. The couple it was delivered to first were horrified. I am writing this because I was warned not to come here by a friend and should have listened. The place looks nice and I thought he must be wrong. I hope this helps someone from making the wrong choice. I also feel really bad for the couple behind us with 2 small children who had the same wait time as we did.

Sadly this was a huge disappointment. Wow...even drinks took an uncomfortable amount of time. Firstly as my server said the bar was behind, my drinks were not even served properly. No glasses for beer? No lemon or limes for caesars? The diablo calamri was disgusting. Deep fry lil pieces loaded, i mean saturated with Franks Hot sauce??? Bizzarre...than the 31$ ribeye, was average, light season, but freezing side veggies. At this point it was laughable as the wine still hadnt arrived with the meals, it tool 20 min for 3 glasses of wine and a club soda. Im not sure what is going on, but i will never even consider this place.

Quite a nice restaurant and a pleasant experience. We will be attending again most definitely. The food is excellent as Johnny Rocco's usually does set a very high standard regarding food quality. The staff are extremely friendly and fast. We had a large party of about 20+ and the service was very good. Nothing was sacrificed to accomplish the great service which is even better. The physical restaurant is quite nice. A very nice layout and very pleasant ambiance with a clean and well designed washroom. Parking is abundant but is shared with a couple other businesses. This didn't cause any issues but merely mentioning is a shared parking area with a hotel.

This was by far the worst culinary experience I’ve had in all my years on this earth. The portions sizes were not enough for a child let alone the 2 adults the employees said it would feed. There was no flavour whatsoever in any of the dishes and the quality and quantity of the food did not match the high price point. I do not recommend.

Both locations in the Niagara Falls and St Catherine's area offer superb meals and friendly staff. The St Catharine's location is a bit quieter but the same level of quality service. The hotel also shares the parking. May have to find a spot to park away from the front doors on the weekend. No bad choices on the menu Pizza is a very safe item.

Heard about this place for years but had never gone. Wow, really great experience. Even gave our girls some pizza dough to shape and then put it in the oven and finished it off with chocolate and caramel sauce. Nice touch.

Our server brought us our drinks and I proceeded to ask for a Sicilian pizza. She rudely stated she'd be right back to take my order - this isn't an exaggeration. I'm sure she was busy; however she never came back. When I asked for my bill she argued with me about the order I never technically made. I'm typically pretty understanding but this woman was miserable and only stopped arguing when I brought up having a conversation with her manager.

We were a group with 5 customers....all but 1 meal was tasteless. It was necessary to send 1 order back. Decor is conflicted. Is it a diner, a steakhouse or an Italian restaurant. What's with the giant Nutella jar above the hostess desk? Too many better choices in that area.

Historic building. Good location. Friendly staff. And then the food fell short Calamari was far too salty ... And tardy. I should've had steak but I went Italian with chicken parmesan. Pepper grinder would've been appreciated earlier, rather than later, much later - I was almost done. The same time I cancelled the one glass of red I never received. And the Caesar salad was terrible so that sealed it for me

My hubby and I came for our 25th wedding anniversary. The building is beautiful and service was great. Love the pizza bar. We had the eggplant and chicken parmesan. I had roasted potatoes and hubby had spaghetti both with house salad starters. Salad was "ok". Needed more dressing and/or flavour, eggplant was good, but dare I say too much ricotta, eggplant was tasty though and potatoes were "ok". Hubby enjoyed his chicken and spaghetti. All in all ok, but a bit too pricey for a meal. We may return to try the wood fired pizza, but probably wait for a special occasion again.

My partner and I came here for dinner while staying at the hotel and it was amazing. Our server Lindsay was fabulous and made the night for us. She was fun, efficient, fast and knowledgeable. This used to be a great restaurant a few years ago and I used to enjoy it quite often. However, the quality of service and food we received here recently were extremely disappointing which is why I decided to write this review. The food was appalling and inedible. The salads looked very sad (a bunch of iceberg lettuce in a ball and nothing else) and the rest of the meal looked greasy and awful. It seemed like a drunken gorilla prepared the meal. The waitress did not seem to care either. It was very bad and quite expensive for a slime on a shingle.

Delicious!!! We drove by this beautiful old building and thought we'd stop in for a bite, no idea what to expect, but it was fabulous and I can't wait to go again! Great atmosphere, the old stone building itself is amazing, and the scent of real fire/wood burning somewhere in the back just topped it off. Before we even ordered I told my husband I'm excited to come back again!! The food was great too! My kids loved their pizza and we loved our chicken; wait staff was friendly and professional too! I find this location of Johnny Rico's to be hit or miss. Sometimes it's barely a 3 star. Today was a 5 star, hence the 4 star rating. The Figaro Chicken sandwich and the chicken masala are consistently good so those ate safe bets. It is always superior to the Lundys Lane location in food, atmosphere and service.

Unfortunately our meal was not acceptable. We have however enjoyed meals in the past very much The bread loaf, usually fresh and hot, was stale. The ends were cut off the loaf and then we realized why. We had to send back the risotto balls (1st time ever sending back food in any restaurant) because they were frozen in the middle. The chicken parm was fantastic! Unfortunately the side of penne was barely like warm. We did not want to keep sending back plates to kitchen so did not relay info. We paid the bill with 20% tip and quietly mentioned to waitress she may want to pass this info to kitchen. There was a wedding in the banquet room that night so I am sure staff were very busy...but it was not the enjoyable experience it should have been

The food was good, the calzone was more than large enough for two people. Everything tasted good in the service was nice. I had actually thought there would be a bit more ambiance, dimly lit, as the building and Inn itself is so beautiful,and found it to be a bit like a "chain" restaurant. The music that was being played was terrible thankfully wasn't too loud but certainly didn't help. Overall it was okay.

It's unusual for me to give a 4 or 5 star review after my first visit to a restaurant, but I'm compelled to do so with Johnny Rocco's in St.Catharines. Firstly, the service was A++. Our server (Rory P) was top notch; engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable. Secondly, the food was excellent. My date had Eggpant Parmigiano, and I had Linguine Pescatore. We both opted for a rose sauce. I look forward to returning to Johnny's soon, and fully expect to raise the rating to 5 stars.

Wow wow wow! We ordered 3 family meals (Eggplant, and 2 chicken parm) to have in the house for a few days knowing the snow was coming. As always - not disappointed. They say the meals are enough for 4 ppl each - but definitely could feed more. You get the main, with pasta, a salad and bread. And one of them came with rice balls I think. My wife and I went to pick up on Sunday (valentines day) around 5pm. It was crazy busy, to be expected. But we had our food quick and were out the door. These guys are always super friendly and feel very welcomed whenever stopping in. Thanks again folks - enjoyed it!

I'll give this 2 stars because the bit of food we attempted to eat tasted good but I can't possibly give more. I ordered 2 pasta meals and salad through Uber Eats for dinner to a hotel and checked the button requesting utensils etc. When the food arrived there was none included. We briefly tried to eat with our hands for a few bites but gave up and had to walk to Tim Hortons to purchase a second dinner. Neither Uber Eats or this restaurant seem to care that I wasted $86 on food we couldn't eat. **Edited to add/respond**--Uber Eats has confirmed that cutlery was requested... restaurant says it wasn't.... either way I am the one out and each of them are passing the buck.

Wish I could give more stars! We are staying at the hotel and first they lost our reservation. So, we were added to the waitlist. We waited about 20 minutes, our name was called and other guests stood up and took our table. Okay, mistakes happen. Instead of asking those guests to wait, they sat us in the kids section in the back. We were so excited to have a nice dinner and our initial experience was tainted. Our server was very busy so we weren’t asked about our food or if we needed more drinks. Food was tasty, but overall would not come back. ????????‍♀️????????‍♀️

I went there with 3 of my friends. The staff greeted us as soon as we entered the place and offered us seating options. The table was tidy and a clean menu was presented to us, So far so good. Drink order was taken and and it took 18 minutes to serve us water. We ordered a couple of things, the food service was relatively quicker. The food was served hot but everything lacked flavour.

I pre-ordered a Valentines special meal for my girlfriend and I days before Valentines for a 6pm pickup. When we went to get the food we noticed the parking lot was full of people and a staff member stood outside taking people’s names and numbers telling us they were “a little bit behind” and they would call when the order was ready. Needless to say I never got a call after half an hour so decided to go back to the restaurant to inquire why. Upon returning there was a large group of people outside (likely 30+) including about 7 skip the dishes drivers all with the same issue. An hour and a half passed by waiting outside in the cold (I prepaid so had no choice but to stay) and in that time I learned others were not getting called back who has left numbers only for their order to sit and get cold, the phone line was impossible to get through on, and others had been waiting with no response or reason for even longer than us. Needless to say I feel this service is appalling. I finally got through on the phone and after a long time on hold I was told to come in and get my food. I walked in from the cold, asked the front desk girl about my order (only 30 seconds since I spoke to her last), and she could not even find the order without searching 6 other orders that were just sitting unclaimed. When I finally got the food it was luke warm at best and when I got the food back home I found the order wasn’t even correct with items swapped for others that we hadn’t ordered. After making someone wait for an hour and a half you’d think they’d be checking for accuracy at the very least. All in all I will never prepay for an order from Johnny Rocco’s ever again and neither should you, I’m considering not ordering from them ever again after this to be honest. The staff working that night were incompetent, uncaring, and made many people ruin their Valentines evening. After all the trouble no one was even offered anything for the inconvenience; these meals for two after tax are close to $140 so I was shocked at this. The food in general, cold as it was, was good but was certainly not worth the effort of dealing with the business in an attempt to get it; it would have been less effort to just make a nice steak meal at home. I recommend thinking twice before going to this restaurant on any night that’s anticipated to be busy as they simply can’t handle it and don’t seem to care enough to try and make it right when something goes wrong.

The servers are always extremely nice and friendly but there was food on my seat, not just a little bit, there were tentacles & such, I brushed them onto the floor in front of the table where they sat for the meal. I was told they had 2 kinds of gelato, I ordered strawberry, was later told there was no strawberry just another kind (that hadn't been mentioned before), so I ordered that, 20 minutes later the server told me there was no gelato. I ordered the gluten-free creme brulee. It was very cold in the middle... clotty like it had gone bad & separated.

My daughter and I went for lunch on New Years Day, we ordered Nonna Meatball panini with fries Bellini Chicken Figaro panini with fries The bun to the the meatball panini was under toasted, so the meatballs fell through the bun. The chicken Figaro sandwich was lacking in flavour. The service was great, and the restaurant is extremely clean. Even with the less than great meal, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Life Savers!! Johnny Rocco's is amazing... after a crazy long day of travelling I arrived and was greeted by a friendly face. I was seated quickly... I noticed my iPhone battery was nearly depleted and asked if anyone there might have a charger as I had left mine at home. This wonderful server with cute pink and purple hair went out of her way to find me a charger. She was so kind! She made me feel like family. This charge gave me enough battery life to use my phones GPS to get back home which is over an hour away. I had a delicious mojito followed by piping hot goat cheese dip, the famously delicious Zia's rice balls and a super fresh tasty vegetariana pizza. The service was incredibly fast. Went here with a local friend's recommendation for good food and I'm so happy we went here. Our server Dan was amazing - professional, helpful and friendly to talk to and made us really comfortable to be there. They're apparently known for their pizza/calzone and pasta. My boyfriend got his Jhonny's calzone and I got my Sicilian pizza. The dough was perfect for both the calzone and pizza and the thinness and crispiness of the pizza was perfect. Definitely one of our favourite Italian restaurant. Flavours were all balanced very well and you can taste the fresh/goodness of every ingredient. Both were spicy but they weren't overly strong to the point that it overpowers all the ingredients. The Parmesan Chips tasted fresh and crispy. And loved the offer for more cheese on top of the pizza!!! Overall as you can tell, my boyfriend and I absolutely loved the environment and the food of the restaurant here. I would definitely recommend for great Italian food here and will come again. All staff are friendly. Thank you!

I visited Johnny Rocco's just yesterday for lunch with my other and we were very pleased with our time there. Before entering the building our server Josh opened the glass door for us and offered us our own choice of seating. We asked for his section in front of that beautiful pizza oven. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the stuff mushroom and rice balls are stellar. We couldn't have enough. Josh was quick and his personality was just astounding. He got to know us and helped us choose our meal. We played a little age game with him and his manager and they were so friendly about it. I believe her name was Cindy, apologies if incorrect. My son had the NY striploin steak- very fatty for a lean cut such as a NY. Veggies were crisp and tasty. His caesar salad was average. I had penne pasta which was pretty good. The bread with oil & peppers was good- but we had to ask to get it- our server didn't just bring it. My garden salad was ok...but the bowl was ice cold indicating they just keep their salads in a fridge all day until they are sold- not done fresh. Server was good- although she served the table that came in after us their meals first.

Nice atmosphere. Steak was cooked to perfection but little taste. Very little side with it for the $$.. Pizza was tasty. Server was decent but not once asked if we wanted a refill (We had to ask the manager once he came around to ask how things were) and forgot desert. May only go back for a drink.

Used to be a regular here when I lived in St Catharines. Decided to do a special trip for my 27th birthday yesterday. I will never come back based on that experience. We were seated quickly and the restaurant was not busy, but it still took several minutes to get waters. Our server brought me a margarita drink that I didn't order or drink. I had ordered a margarita PIZZA. We had to check that our food order went in, as our chips came after our side salads. Our mains were okay, but not of a quality worth the increased price. We didn't order dessert due to the service. We had to ask the manager who was already at the table next to us (regulars who were also got incorrect orders that they were charged for) to bring us our bill as our server did not come to check on us once. We then checked the receipt as we were leaving and saw with horror that the server had charged us for the margarita drink that I never ordered. Very sad to see a place with great service, pricing, and food turn into mediocre food with appalling service.

Great service and a fantastic choice of Italian food. We went as a group and even though they were switching wait staff we were served very quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food. Everyone enjoyed what they got and I had the eggplant Parmesan and I would definitely get it again! I recommend this place to fans of Italian cuisine!

Went today Aug 31st 2021 around 1:30pm, Had a very tasty spinach dip, and my fiancé had the penne chicken which he liked. I ordered the chicken Milano which was okay, its a chicken breast with a white creamy garlic wine sauce when the waitress asked if I wanted penne or spaghetti I fully thought it was going to have that same sauce with the penne because that would make sense, but when it can it came it was a just a side of penne with red sauce. And the veggies that came with the chicken were extremely salty which made them inedible, I politely told the waitress but didn’t get the impression she cared much about the feedback as she walked away while i was still talking to her, and when we asked for the check she walked by and just put the check on the table without saying anything or looking at us then rushed away to clear a dirty table when we were the only table inside which was a little rude. Could’ve said thanks for coming or do you need a machine? Got nothing, apparently clearing a dirty table is more important than making sure your one table inside the Resturaunt is taken care of. When we were already walking out she said have a nice day but at that point we were already pretty annoyed. A few other observations, on the way to the rest room I saw all of the chefs in the kitchen wearing their masks below their chin except the pizza chef who wore his the whole time. (Wish i saw that before we ate our food) Our waitress and the nice gentleman working the patio wore theirs, but the bartender would stand pretty close to people and pull her mask down to talk to everyone and when she was behind the bar, it was below her chin the entire time. There was no contact tracing whatsoever. No one asked our names and if we had symptoms. As customers who also work in the restaurant/customer service industry we are the first people to be understanding, however we found the experience to be stressful and unprofessional because how shocked we were of the lack of Covid precautions and disinterest that our waitress had for us.

Had a family event there recently and found that the level of service was all fight. Had a table for twelve booked on Boxing Day and was told that the (VIP room) would be ready to 7pm. I even called twenty minutes before our arrival and told that yes the room was to be ready for us. WELL it was not! We have to wait twenty minutes. No attempt was made to aver us anything for the inconvenience. Ordered some wine and asked for a decanter and had one brought in with wine sloshing around in it and had it sent back for a clean one! The food was bland not and not very good. I was surprised as this place had come recommended. We had to track down the waitress to pay our bill - this cost her $30 in tips... Overall I would not go back nor recommend it. There are plenty of restaurants that can better handle larger groups... I will not be back nor recommend it

Usually I wold give a five star rating but tonight was not as good as I am used to. Eggplant parm was burned and crispy and had to be replaced. The Vegetarian pizza was undercooked in the center and quite unappetizing. That was at St Catharines. I have never had a problem with the Niagara Falls location. Still my favorite restaurant. Staff friendly in both locations. A good place to go.

Normally I don't do this kind of thing but I was a little more then disappointed. There was a large group of us tonight (18 including littles ones) for a family dinner. My wife got Eggplant Parm and a starter ceaser salad. Well, in her salad she found a bug. I went out of my way to make sure we weren't drawing alot of attention to ourselves being that we had a bug in our food. All that was done was they brought a new salad. They didnt offer to not charge us, nor did anyone say sorry. It wasnt the waitress fault so she still got her tip but I wouldn't reccomend it.

Excellent service and food exceeded my expectations. The portions are generous and worth the price. The restaurant was very busy, they had a few larger groups there, and we didn't have a reservation. Being a Saturday evening we were expecting the wait for a table to be much longer than the 30 minutes that we waited. Even though the restaurant was very busy our server, Lyndsey, was amazing There were no long waits between courses. We found it to be a little loud but after months of not being able to go out, hearing people talking and socializing was nice. I signed up for the rewards card as we will definitely be returning!

Our Son and Daughter-in law’s Wedding Celebration dinner at Johnny Rocco’s Stone Mill Ballroom Our son and his fiancé were married in Negril Jamaica on February 22, 2014. Unfortunately some of our family and close friends were unable to attend for a variety of reasons (health) and/or work or other commitments. My wife and I felt that we would very much like these 70+ family and friends who were unable to attend, to be able to be part of the celebration by hosting a social evening and dinner for the newlyweds once back in Canada. Since we have had numerous very positive dining experiences at both Johnny Rocco’s Restaurants in both St. Catharines and Niagara Falls and combined with the fact that we had recently attended a wedding at the Johnny Rocco’s Stone Mill Ballroom in St. Catharines, we decided it would be a great place to make the evening special Their wedding coordinator ‘Courtney’ suggested the Old Mill Ballroom for our group. It was arranged to accommodate our group and looked lovely. She ensured the sound system and video equipment was set-up so that pictures of the actual wedding were able to be shared. The meal was a variety of four entrees from which the guests could select their personal favourite. The bride and groom greeted the guests upon their arrival at a cocktail reception with champagne and appetizers prior to a spectacular meal being served in a nicely decorated and cozy dining area. The meal was so good, each guest was served the meal he/she chose by a staff member who were so friendly and attentive to our needs. We have had so much positive feedback regarding the atmosphere, the food and the evening in general. We would like take this opportunity to thank Courtney, the kitchen and entire serving staff of Johnny Rocco’s for making this such and memorable evening! Thank you!

I have a clever business idea I'd like to propose to Johnny Rocco and associates. Think of this, "Johnny Roc&SockemBoppos" The name alone rings off. We could play a mix of reggae and house music, in the bar area. However, in the main room... that's where the business gets goin'.... LIFE SIZED rockemSOCKEM BOPEMS. Squared up in a 21 ft ring, ready for the title of Bop Legend. Participants control the robots and there's an entry fee etc etc. Mull it over and let me know John. On another note. Food was as expected. I enjoyed it to the features of old stonework and dated pictures of italian families and scenery. The room had a warm energy with live music and a magician roamin' about with a pack of rolling papers. That was cool, was upset tho 'cos I didnt get to see anybody levitate. Also upset that he wasn't tryina get fadeddddddd ahhhaha. Blazeeeeee it

Great Staff, Great Food and pretty decent prices! I love going here. I also want to add that I hosted a birthday party there and it turned out amazing. The Staff were very attentive and great with my guests. There is a employee named Andrew (manager/supervisor?) and he provided some of the best costumer service I have ever seen. We were having difficulties with the WIFI and Andrew went way over the top to make sure that we had WIFI for a skype call.

I cannot stress how absolutely TERRIBLE our experience was. Every year we go there for my grand mothers birthday. My aunt and uncle and I arrived at 6:30pm Saturday February 1st, 2020. We had a reservation at a table and not a booth because of my grandmother's back we were told at 630pm that it would be a 10-15min wait. My aunt and uncle and I sat/stood at the bar from 6:30pm to 7pm. Before going to the bar we told the person at the entrance we were doing so and when our table became available we'd be over there. My grand parents arrived at 7:00pm ish and joined us at the bar. From 630 - 730 pm my entire family stood at the bar while we watched other people, granted smaller parties, get seated first. When my aunt inquired asked to why they were getting seated before us, we were told not to worry and that they didn't forget about us. During this time I walked outside to smoke periodically and each time I walked by the door greeters would say "have a good night/thabks for coming" literally after they just told us about the wait time. I told them each time they bode me farewell that I'm going out to smoke again and that my entire family is still waiting for our table. Around 730, after waiting 60 mins for our table, 45-50mins after we were told it'd be ready for the first time, and another 20 the second, and another 30 the third time - my aunt went to reibqure and guess what happened? Surprise surprise they forgot about us. So by this point, it's now like 745 and we get seated all the way in the back in cramped quarters with one table of 8 to the left and two full tables with 15 to the right. There wasn't even enough room for us to sit comfortably because one table had kids getting up and down up and down up a d down while the parents ignored them. Our server didn't/couldn't read the stomisphete of my fa ILY and simply would not shut up about specials, desserts, alcohol.... I get it that's where they make the most money, but seriously AFTER waiting now 90MINS to eat, let alone get a table the last thing I want to be is UPSOLD because you disgustingly underlay your wait staff. I watched probably 6 other tables get seated while we waited but I didn't make a stink because it was my grandmothers birthday. But c'mon... You didn't even make her one drink correctly, she's almost 90 years old and on brain tumor medication and asked for a virgin ceasar with no spice (yes I'm aware it's just clamato) but who cares l, cause it makes her happy. You gave her alcohol in her drink after being specifically asked and told VIRGIN CESAR. My grandmother is such a nice lady she didn't send it back because you know why? We were too scared that it'd take another hour to get one, so I drank it for her. She drank ice water for her birthday meal good lord. Another thing? I asked for my wings dry and they came out smothered in "sauce". I only ate maybe 4 or 5 out of the whopping 9 that you serve because I didn't feel like drinking a bottle of barbeque sauce with my wings. Every year she asks to go to Johnny rocos for her birthday, I have no idea why as the service is terrible, the food portions and quality is terrible, the management obviously doesn't care about its repeat and loyal customers, customers health and safety, nor their time. Shame on you Johnny roccos, shame on you. How do you guys manage to get worse every visit?

Had pizza, wings, soup, chicken pasta. The pizza was 100% different from all other pizzas i have had. Toppings were super flavorful, you know it's good quality by the taste. The soup was soup... no complaints. Wings taste fresh and crazy yummy. chicken pasta was cool, sauce is good and the pasta was not over cooked. All the food was hot. only thing is it is expensive to eat here but if you don't mind the prices you will be satisfied when you leave. Thank you to Holly for the great service.

Went to Johnny Rocco's with a couple of friends Aug 17th for dinner and drinks. Servers were friendly but had no clue what the other was doing. Friends ordered appetizers, I ordered a dinner. Server said she would serve app's and my soup. App's come out... waited about 20 minutes... app's now completed... not mine... informed that my soup should be out shortly and apologised ... about 15 minutes later a different waitress informed me that it would 15-20 minutes, and asked if I would prefer something else. Annoyed but choose to go with a salad, a different waitress comes with my main meal. I informed her that I was still waiting for my salad. She apologises and offers to take it back... when I inquired she said she would keep it warm while I got my salad. Really.... keeping my dish warm. Choose to eat my hot dish, finally my salad came and informed that there would be no additional charge...WOW!! Salad come about 10 minutes later... again now with no dressing. Now I have been waiting for my drink... she said it is coming... now it's been 10 minutes. She arrives with my drink and asks if the manager has come by?? I said no and she said he will be coming by and is not charging for one of the app's. Well that's really nice, but I didn't have an app. but I'm sure my friends appreciated it. Waited and waited... I can see the manager, but he never approached us. You see he was busy on his lap top and on his cell. I'm sure that this was much more important than his customers. So if you are considering to here I would seriously reconsider this. Try Lina's or Fresco's service much better and managers are continually coming around checking on the service being provided.

I wanted to give this place a better review, because initially the atmosphere was lovely and the hostess was really nice, but the service was lacking. The waitress was inattentive, the food took too long even though it wasn't busy and the steaks we ordered were on the cold side (so not even worth the long wait). I think if our food was served hot some things could have been forgiven, but it was not meant to be.

My family and I have been coming to Johnny Rocco's for years (as well as other restaurants) and it's always been great; good food, decent service, and an all around good time. Just a bit ago I made a reservation for 25 people in a private room and our server was just stellar. Again just recently I came back with my husband and mother and luckily we got him again. Joshua is an incredible asset to the Johnny Rocco's team. For the years we've been coming to this restaurant, nobody has been more vibrant, quick, and so positive during busy nights at the restaurant. Watching him serve is glorious the way he maneuvers around the restaurant, the number of plates he can carry, and watching him carry 2 trays full of glasses...the man is talented and knows how to put on a show. He takes the time to know who you are as a person instead of just another body in a seat, and his memory is amazing as he didn't even need to write down half our orders and not a single dish was incorrect. Josh truly understands that coming to a restaurant is all about the experience and the WOW-factor that a lot of servers are lacking. The food was great as it always was, but Josh going the extra mile for us truly reminded me why I love Johnny Rocco's so much. Anyone considering making reservations at this location, I 100% recommend requesting Josh as your server! Thank you Josh and Johnny Rocco's team for being so excellent!

I came here with a group of friends for a birthday! We were all very hungry and excited to eat. We have all not been here for over 5 years. Our food took an hour and a half. As a person who works in fine dining, I know the kitchen can become backed up, but there should at least be a warning of how long the food will be or an apology. The portions of food were also depressing and sad. My salmon looked shrivelled up and was dry. Additionally, our server was very unfriendly, we tried our best to tip well and be respectful. Overall, The service and quality at this restaurant is disappointing.

A beautiful building that USED to serve excellent food. The pizza arrived with a wet crust ,management said they can't help it - the 23$ Parmesan veal and spaghetti was a childs portion and we all know spaghetti costs nothing, the $17 bacon hamburg with parmesan chips came with bacon bits not strips of bacon with 3 chips on the meat, not a side of parmesan chips, the sweet potato fries (extra cost) were battered (obviously previously frozen) and over salted. Over the last 2 years the food and menu have gone downhill. The upside is there are lots of other restaurants in St Catharines

My fiance and I love Jonny's. We've been faithfully going to this location for 5 years now and we ALWAYS get the Zia Balls, white wine sangria and the Surf and Turf ravioli. Received a refund for this (I thought) right away, called my 2 favorite restaurants and tried to rectify, just a little.. paid them back! Skip, after 3 calls, one hangup, one text,are arguing that the money put towards my account is for the cancelation(made AFTER I had already called the restaurants and repaid their tips), which I never did( cancel)!! They cancelled my order from Cafe Amore.... The sweet African lady from Skip,who helped me positively, understood me, even with the language barrier...better than most from Skip (except the voice on the phone)....Thought I got back the contributions to give back to the restaurants but no....they took it out of my cancelled order that I didn't cancel!! The server was amazing. I laughed so much from him even though he worked such a long shift. The food was amazing but the mushroom ravolli had a little bit too much cracked pepper but I am a little bit whimpy when it comes to spice. My date loved their dish too and took some home! I was honestly disappointed by this place. Being local to the area, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews, and after my visit, I can say I will never go back. I ordered one of their pasta dishes, and the seafood in it was of very poor quality. Scallops were over-cooked, small, and didn't have flavour, clams were almost non-existant, muscles were small and without flavour, shrimp was okay. Whats worse is that not only was it not very good, there wasn't enough either. I'm a 170lb guy, not exactly a huge eater, and I was left very hungry at the end of the meal after ordering pasta, an extra order of bread, and the salad it came with. To top it all off, it was not cheap. Cheque came to over $100 for two people with only 1 low-tier ($7) glass of wine. Not good food, overpriced, and left hungry. Won't go back.

Ordered spaghetti and meatballs as a treat for Valentine's Day for my kids, pickup for. 6:30 pm. Got to the restaurant at 6:15, already 20 people in line ahead of me, outdoors. Some were waiting for 5:00 PM orders. Still waiting at 7:20 PM, have not moved up in line. Any time a staff member opens the door, they yell a name once and duck back inside. Delivery drivers piling up and blocking handicap spots, so should someone need that spot for a pickup they are out of luck. Really should have capped hours per hour, or at least have someone come outside and provide updates. Horrible service and poor planning, curbside pickup is not new. Will be leaving without my food and will be requesting a refund.

This place has great decor and the best pizza in town. However we are only giving 4 stars as they did not allow us to use two Amici Reward Coupons, one for an entree and one for a dessert. Our server was very nice but whoever she had to ask for permission was too "by the book" and could not be flexible by suggesting two bills, each using one of the coupons. Had they done this we would have been motivated to come back sooner. Our second coupon expired the next day so we were unable to use it.

The bread was good, the house dressing was good the homemade potato chips were yummy, pasta was cooked, potato wedges were seasoned to perfection. The servers performed their jobs adequately. Have been to Johnny Rocco's many times as it is close to our house and we enjoy the food. Enjoyed the Parmigiana Chips with dip as an appetizer and then a calzone with salad for main. Enjoyed the garden salad with the house dressing. Recently they have started a loyalty club which is an extra bonus. One thing to watch out for is that due to popularity they can be busy on weekends. Please keep this in mind if you have time constraints or are looking for somewhere quick. I have always found the staff to be very friendly. Multiple people checked in on us during our meal.

What a find! Highly recommend this place... Staff super friendly and more importantly, fast. Appetizers came out so fast I thought they had the wrong table! Food was excellent... Ordered the rice balls and Caprese salad to start... Then, we were so full, we switched from separate mains to a shared Alfredo pizza... Wow again. Finished off with a lava cake and some espresso... Love Johnny Rocco's! The cannolis alone are a great reason to go. They are absolutely amazing and are the best cannolis I've ever had. Pistachios on one half and chocolate chips on the other half. Arancini (rice balls) are amazingly delicious and I'll always recommend them. Staff is always super nice. Be warned that it is usually a good idea to make reservations or call ahead especially on weekends. Sometimes it is so packed that it's hard to find parking. Very good ambiance and very tasty food. Photos of arancini and cannolis are from a previous visit.

We have eaten many times at the Niagara Falls location with never a problem. We ordered the mussels to share, they were wonderful nice sauce, our salad and soup arrived as we were eating the mussels. My wife's soup was still hot and of course my salad was fine. Our main course arrived, my veal and roasted potatoes was hot very good. My wife's egg plant was only like warm, we stopped one of the staff members walking by and told them, she appologized and took it away, I continued to eat, the fresh eggplant and pasta arrived and it was good and hot, most enjoyable according to my wife. We were offered a free dessert to make up for it and we accepted . Tiramisu to share and Nesspreso coffee both very good. It was New Years eve when we were there but it's no excuse for cold food.

Went out with my wife for our 40th wedding anniversary have been here many times what happened to day was very disappointing we went early 4:30 Sunday afternoon it was not real busy but we still waited 30 minutes for drinks 20 minutes later the server came back and told us he was still waiting for the soup and would bring us bread 10 minutes later came out with the soup no bread upon getting the soup Italian wedding no meatballs no flavor it was warm water with noddles , it was like they put warm water in a pot with the remnants of left over soup canceled the meal and left I don't think we will return my wife even left her Johnny Roccos card on the table. I used to like this place. Last time we ordered charcuterie plate/box and was very very disappointed. TOTALLY different than on website picture, missing items, no olives, no fig jam. WORST EXPERIENCE! We chose Johnny Rocco's for the tapas on Thursdays and the food was great! But the customer service was AWFUL. Our waitress was rude, took way too long to come back to the table after we ordered our apps. Our water glasses weren't refilled once. We ordered a pitcher of sangria that was somehow completely forgotten. It was such a turn off that we didn't even order dessert, because why face the waitress who obviously didn't want to serve us and wait forever. When the server makes you so uncomfortable that you can't even grin through it to get to dessert (my favourite) there's an issue.

Went on August 11 for our anniversary, my wife and ordered an app to share parmassian chips that arrived cold after 20 min. Then we had our mains 2 pastas arrive before our starter salads. When he's 18 make him a server. Went to get take out tonight 27th. Ordered a gluten free pizza, gluten free pasta order was to be ready for 920. Arrived to have the girl tell at the take out counter that my pizza and Calzone would be ready momentarily, surprised I let her know that we did not order a Calzone. I was told the calzone was on the wrong bill and the pasta was ready. This was a lie as the manager informed me that she punched in the wrong thing and the pasta would be ready momentarily. The visit gets worse after that but I don't think this is the forum to air the trials and tribulations they are facing at Johnys

Tried to make a reservation, but they don't accept reservations for less than 7 people... so they took a "phone ahead." When we got there, our names were not on the " phone ahead list, they said my wait time would be about 30 minutes, it was closer to 75 minutes. The appetizers we got were cold, they took 15 minutes to get water for us after asking if we would like our glasses refilled, and gave us no cutlery until we asked for some. Other than the appetizers thw food was alright. Im not sure if this was just because it was so busy, but if I do decide to go back, it will be on a Monday instead of a Saturday.

Between being seated and getting our main course it was almost 2 hours. We did have appetizers, drinks and bread, so it was all good. A lot of people would get frustrated by that, but there are bigger things to worry about in life. Honestly.

Came here with my 3 younger sisters and asked them to be my bridesmaids. The ambiance is nice, decor and booths are lovely. The menu is typical Italian, there are a fair number of vegetarian options. Our server was a little bit awkward (possibly because I ordered wine but forgot my ID so he had to deny me.. oops). The peanut butter dessert was DELISH. There was an ahi tuna pasta special made by their chef from Barbados. What! So yummy, spicy and good quality fish. This was a nice place for a group to sit and chat over yummy comfort food

Attended a group celebration here Covid protocols in place. Wait Staff we're very pleasant. I didn't hear any complaints regarding the meals. Mine was very nice Guests were allowed to order off a menu. (No wedding style meal service forced on the group) The room we were given was ample size and had its own exit to the patio. Party organizers were able to bring decorations in ahead of time and set up It all made for a lovely evening I would return.

Very good lively atmosphere in a historic building. The drinks are great (try the Moscow Mule) and the food was also very good. I enjoyed the rice balls and the pizza (the Calabrese pizza was amazing-- best thing we had). Sadly the burger was meh & the parmesan chips that were the side were way too salty to enjoy. I did notify the server and I though I would be comped for them because we returned the full basket, but she only offered to tell the kitchen. Other than than that it was a great night with great atmosphere and top notch service from Katie-- she is a sweetheart.

Okay. The food here is Fantastic! The staff are friendly and down to earth. Price is awesome as well. The restaurant is in this old building that has been converted to a boutique hotel (which is also awesome!!!!). Worth going for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.

Food wasn’t bad but gluten free noodles were undercooked. Brought the wrong soup and waitress ignored us when time to pay the bill. My biggest concern is the health issue of the handling of the Parmesan cheese. This is handled with a bare hand carrying it from table to table. We witnessed the waitress setting the open uncovered cheese directly on a table and also holding it against her dirty shirt. I had to go pay at bar and noticed the cheese in an open basket covered in flies. I definitely feel like this is a Public health violation.

This was our first time at any Johnny Rocco's. In general it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant was very clean, nice environment, the food was very good and the service was very good as well. We went there for lunch and we had great time. We would recommend this location to a friend no problem. My wife ordered a New York (steak) and I ordered something called Nonna's meatballs (not sure about the name but it was kind of a sandwich) with Parmesan potatoes. I would give 5 stars to the stake and 4 stars to the meatballs. The service was fast and we were in and out in about an hour.

Disappointed with the food. The soup was cold. The meatballs in the wedding soup were food service grade rather than home made. No flavor to the broth. The eggplant parm was watery and flavorless. I would like to say the evening started at 6pm with reservation. Was seated right away in an area that the air conditioning was not noticable. It was 30 degrees outside and the doors were open. We sat for about 15 minutes before being acknowledged asked for a wine list and was told they do not have a list. The waiter told us this was his third shift. Took 20 minutes to get our wine. Very poor attention to our table. We ordered some appetizers it took longer then it should of as he apologies for how long it took for the appetizers. When we ordered our dinners he said he would get it in right away 30 minutes later our dinner showed up. Lacked flavour and the sauces were watery. Had shrimp as an extra that was so stylish could hardly eat them. We ordered a second bottle of wine and the waiter opened the bottle and placed it on the table not even offering to top up our glasses. When we asked for a cup of coffee it took almost 30 minutes to be delivered to the table and dessert it took so long that we just asked him to put it into a container to take home as it just took too long.settling the bill was painful. For such landmark in St. Catharines it should learn to stop abusing their customers. We were there for 2 and a half hours.

Had a reservation waited extra 20 minutes sat down waited for a server for 40minutes, ordered chef salad was awful did not even have a tomato in it, had the mushroom ravioli, was cold and not good! Over all the experience was very poor! I personally don't think chick peas belong in a chef salad? That's weird! The quality of the food is sub-par cheese cake is more like cheese mousse, second time there, don't think they'll be a third.

My nephew and I visited Johnny Rocco's for the 2nd time ever. I had a $15 coupon from my Amici Rewards and we used it getting my nephew the Asiago Burger. Super tasty. I got the Garlic Cheese Loaf for myself, and shared it with my nephew. The Garden Salad we got with the burger was DIVINE!! ALWAYS A WINNER!! We ordered 5 Tapas style desserts, and even tho the menu said $15, I remember before it was $12, so they took $3 off just for us!! Could it have been a better evening? Maybe if the Chocolate Explosion was better than the 7/10 that is was. The 3 cheesecakes were all 9/10, and the Tiramisu was 12/10. A TOTAL HOME RUN!! We will be back Thursday night for Deep Fried Pickle Tapas from 7pm-11pm.

This was my 3rd visit in a group setting, it took us 3 hours from start to finish today. First, the positive. We had a very polite and friendly waiter who tried as hard as he could to help us out, and we were in a separate group room. That's the end of the positives, as always the food was sub par, really it's a step above East Side Mario's. The waiter who has only been employed for three weeks was completely overwhelmed and tried really hard. He had little to no help from another staff member, the manager or owner and no one came to check up on him or stop into see how things were going. I would say they really put him in a situation to fail. The food quality has a long way to go compared to competitors like Lina's and Frescos. I do not know why I do not try and talk people out of going here when they suggest dinner at this restaurant. I am 0 for 3.

Salads and chicken parm were okay, but not stellar. Short rib was tasty. Pasta side dishes were cold for both of us. No offer to get hot replacement or comp were offered. No condiments offered or cheese at table, as we saw other tables getting. Service was okay, but not stellar. Server seemed overloaded. For my food I order Backed Chicken Penne, but chicken was missing, ????when asked waiter he said it is in there in small peices. We all 9 people checked it was just pasta. Then manager came by with chicken and said new kitchen chef said he might have forgot to up chicken on. But waiter never came back or said anything!!!

This was one of the worst restaurants that my wife and I had for years. We stayed at the Stone Mill Inn on the night of June 05 . We decided to order from the restaurant downstairs at Johnny Roccos in St. Catherine's. I did realize the mistake I made. We ordered our food from the menu in our room. After placing the order the waitress took my telephone number and I even told her our hotel room number. She said it will be ready in 20 minutes and she will call when the order was ready. After about 45 minutes I called to find out about my order. Long story short they called back after 2 minutes claiming my order is ready. After paying for my order the waitress apologized for writing the wrong telephone number and forgot what room I was in. They over charged one of the items by $1 according to their menu. The food was not hot the stuffed mushrooms were soggy and cold. The chicken meal for $22 had 3 very small bites. There so called jumbo chicken wings were small wings you get from Pizza Hut. Should of went there instead.

My family and I were completely blown away with the service and the food at Johnny Rocco's. The food is fresh and the staff are so willing to help you find the perfect food for you! We loved this place so much, that we went for supper here two nights in a row! On our second night, the staff sang Happy Anniversary to my parents (complete with a cute dessert), even though their anniversary was about two weeks prior. It's actions like these that made our experiences here some of the best restaurant experiences yet.

I went here on a Wednesday night for dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday. It was our first time coming to this restaurant, and I can wholeheartedly say that I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The food was spectacular. Everything was fresh, rich in taste, and delicious. There wasn’t a single dish on our table that didn’t taste amazing. The service was outstanding, our waiter was extremely professional, friendly, and charismatic. The environment was ambient, nicely decorated, and very busy with people. We moved to St. Catharine's almost a year ago from G.T.A. We have tried many places for Italian food, I found nothing I liked. I saw this place online thought let's try it. Best decision ever!! They have the best tasting sauce, their rice balls are soo good, pasta was cooked perfectly and their ceaser salad is the best I've ever had out! Food is always very good, although a little pricey. Staff is very pleasant. Manager helped me jump my car when it wouldn't start in the parking lot, despite the restaurant being fairly busy, won't ever forget that. We don't eat here a lot, but it's definitely a place we keep coming back to, especially for a date night.

This restaurant is by far the most notable establishment for any event. My family and I booked the beautiful barrel room for a wedding rehearsal dinner. We were from the states so we had no idea where to hold this dinner, but thank god we read the reviews. The food was simply spectacular and the pizzas are to die for. What truly impressed us the most was the service. We read the reviews about Josh but didn't realize we had him as our server until my husband pointed him out. Our group increased from 20 to over 35 and he handled us with ease. He memorized our names, our orders, and was so quick about it all. His balancing ability is out of this world, and his personality literally fills the room. He truly gave us the experience others have raved about and made us consider coming back to Canada just to experience it again. All the servers that came into the room shared the same spirit Josh shared with us. Johnny Roccos thank you for the amazing food, service, and hospitality. You will see us again!

A couple days ago we Niagara Police held a social on the beautiful patio to the side of the building. The food was amazing and the buffet was actually bottomless!!! Upon our arrival we were immediately greeted by our lovely server Joshua who did an outstanding job. Single-handedly he took drink orders of over 30 people all in his head, memorizing all our names, attending to all our needs quickly and efficiently, and didn't mess up a single bill (it was all individual), all while refilling the buffet making sure the food was hot and never empty. Joshua really wow'ed us with his ability to handle so much with such grace. The food was beyond excellent and the service was unforgettable. Johnny Rocco's, keep up the good work! We will be coming back!

I cannot put words into perspective of how delicious and well staffed Johnny roccos is. The staff here are wonderful it was packed on valentines weekend and staff handeled capacity wonderfully. Wish i would remeber the names of all the awsome ladies who served my husband and I but pulled the manager aside to express my gratitude and she knows who they are. Food came out hot and tasteful especially the maple glazed salmon! Our drinks looked like beautiful artwork (not joking) and the presentation of the food was great! Chefs clearly know exactly what their doing and i bet they excelled in thier courses! As the night went on we headed to the casino in Niagara and came back around 11:00 to find my original waitress and the manager cleaning up and serving one couple at the bar,we kindly asked if we could have a drink and they said "sure no problem what can we get you two? We ended up staying an hour after close talking with them and ordered a pitcher of their bomb sangria iwith berrries and rosemary in it. WILL NEVER FORGET THIS PLACE!!! Highly HIGHLY reccomend and tip these waitresses good they are so kind and helpful! Thanks ladies for the best Valentines ever!

This place Ruined valentines day dinner during lock down. I ordered my meal 3 days in advance during lock down. On the day of my order they couldn't find my order. And when they did find it, they delivered it two hours late. Everyone was already so hungry they stayed snacking, by the time they came, my family was full. Completely ruined valentines day, when we were already feeling down due to lock down. Just don't rely on them for catering. The best part... the manager refused to talk to me, when I asked to talk to them, and no accommodation was made what so ever to rectify the problem. There were not discounts offered, and no compensation. Now the food :of course came cold and very underwhelming for a $ 270 meal. Steak was cooked rare, food had no flavor, the bread was old and chewy. The portions were minuscule. I was so embarrassed in front of my family. They also forgot the desert! Why in the heck did management continue to take orders of if they know it is above their capacity? So glad I tried to support local businesses and get rewarded with this. This place is highly highly overrated on Google. When I asked my colleagues, they were all familiar with how atrocious this place is. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Ate here many times, be it a family table, or a work function, or at the bar with Judd the bartender who goes out of his way to serve above and beyond. Super guy with a fantastic personality. He served me as if I was a regular kept my glass full and my plates hot. If this guy isn’t a manager he should be. All service here is great and food amazing. Decor is great.
