My first time trying a Filipino restaurant in Waterloo and it is definitely up to my standards. You don't find many good Filipino spots often and this place definitely hit the spot. Food is authentic, fresh and super flavourful for a decent price. Also a good portion too! I ordered liempo for my friend who tried Filipino food for the first time, a tosilog for myself and spring rolls to share. Liempo was super tender and flavourful and definitely one of the top BBQ pork bellies I've tried. My tosilog was very reminiscent of a good home cooked breakfast which I know the tosilig is homemade and not the packaged ones that some Filipino restaurants use. The lumpia shanghai was crisp and filled with flavourful meat inside. I would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Waterloo area. Thank you for making my friend's first experience such a good one. He was surely in euphoria. Can't wait to try the platters and other dishes!

My girlfriend took me on a great adventure to this ghost restaurant today. I had no idea what to expect when I entered, but I was not disappointed. The owners were very welcoming and eager to assist us in making our lunch choices. Pictures and detailed descriptions on the menu board were also very helpful. The food was freshly prepared and contained unique flavours. It was delicious and satisfying. I would highly recommend this food experience.

My mother discovered this little grass roots location recently and excitedly brought us there to eat. It is somewhat of a pop up restaurant, being in a shared space for only a few days of the week with another restaurant, The Wooden Boat. Regrettably I can only give 3 stars, though I want to give 4, because it does strike me as fresh home made, and presumably authentic food, and I am fond of family owned local restaurants especially. It's a bit of a back alley location, which is quiet, green, and has the Iron Horse trail passing immediately beside it. The server was fine, and basic, no issues. On to the food! It was interesting, but light flavor, which seemed to lack a certain punch... or deliciousness. The dipping sauce was watery, and hard to dip. The meat was fatty, but fairly tasty, and the meal lacked greens, and vegetables. I do not intend to return, and I would only recommend it to Philippino's who may appreciate what authenticity they have, and the quaint setting. The price was high for the quantities.

Great food from Rosel's! Enjoyed the pork siomai (they don't skimp on the filling~) and lechon kawali (crunchy and well-cooked). Both go well with the refreshing pineapple soda. Will return to try the other dishes =D I'm sure they taste great too!

So good! The chicken was perfect. The skin was perfectly crispy and the rest of it was perfectly soft and non fatty. I usually am not a fan of rice but the garlic rice was so good I actually finished all of it. Spring rolls were also good. The ice cream is made by Rosel herself and it was so amazingly good. Get everything on the menu, you won’t regret it.

At first I was hesitant to try this place, because I was unfamiliar with filipino cuisine. However, those fears in hindsight seem ridiculous now that I’ve tried their food. The adobo ribs were fall off the bone tender and packed with flavour that will widen your eyes after the first bite. This unassuming spot is definitely worth a visit.

Just like my mom’s cooking, it’s great that I no longer have to go all the way home to Scarborough for Filipino food. We had the chicken pandan and it came with three gigantic pieces of chicken on top of sinangag (garlic rice) and a side salad. All very delicious! Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Enjoyed tapsilog and pork siomai tonight from Rosel's. Everything was fresh and delicious. It is a few minutes wait for the siomai but absolutely worth it as they hand make them fresh to order! We had a nice time chatting with the owner while we waited. They also have pineapple soda on tap which was great with our meal.

I love grill food and the portions were a good size. Got the pancit and lechon kawali, 10/10. Would also very much recommend getting the ube ice cream, it's top with a ginger sauce which served as a good contrast of flavours.

wow! my first time having Filipino food. Masarap! so so good. I had Tasilog. Rice with flavoured beef, fresh vegetables - and an egg on top! I love the egg on top! Yolk made a beautiful sauce! Beef was salty but the rice was not - so mixing it all up was the key to perfect bite every time! I will go back to try everything. Service was so polite and food arrived fast and hot! I could not be happier with my experience. Can't wait to go back. (I work at Laurier so the location is super convenient).

I'm addicted to Rosel's. Part of me wants to keep this gem my own secret because it's so magical and I don't want it to become like any other restaurant. But the bigger part of me says I should share Rosel's with others because I want Rosel's to be so successful that it will be around for decades to come. I've visited Rosel's three times in the last month, each time bringing along somebody different because I want to spread the word about how delicious and fresh the food is, not to mention the extraordinarily friendly and helpful service by the owners. I've tried the kari kari tacos, the glass noodles, the ribs, and the fried chicken. No point trying to determine a favourite because they were all sensational. And I absolutely adore the unique environment. You can find good food in many local restaurants, but good food plus a unique environment is very rare. Don't miss out on this ghost restaurant in Kitchener.

Yay! Something new and different...and delicious! I've wanted to try Rosel's for ages, as I've never had Philipino food before. Food is made with love from scratch. We had no idea what to order but the staff are friendly and helped us decide. My husband enjoyed his Longganisa slider, which comes with sweet potato fries and a yummy cole slaw. The sweet potato fries I stole from him may have been the best I've ever had. I had the Tapsilog - very tasty beef with lots of crispy garlic, mmmm... Get this if you love garlic. Make sure to try the ice cream - and btw its crazy purple colour is *not* due to food colouring! We will definitely be back to try the more dishes, including the purple cake. :)

Yummy! Go here. Supper takeaway order was prepared quickly and there are nice shady benches to sit on while waiting. Other customers had the ice cream which they all said was delicious. The lumpias are the nice small kind - crispy and not oily. Our meal was a flavor explosion and lovely. I also liked that takeaway was served in eco-friendly/compostable cardboard/paper containers placed in a paper bag. Good job Rosel's!

Finally stopped in tonight on our way home and we loved it. Got the Pandan fried chicken and the Pansit Bihon. Both were super fresh, prepared wonderfully and delicious. I (as usual) had seasonings on the table at home ready to adjust to my own taste as needed and didn’t touch them once. That almost never happens. We will definitely be back.

The pork siomai (a type of sampling) was flavorful and juicy. Also the Lechon Kawali (crispy pork belly) was both crunchy on the outside but moist inside and paired well with the rice and salad. I recomend drizzling the spicy sauce from the dumplings onto the crispy pork belly. Delicious meal and friendly staff. Give it a try if you're in town.

Just had Rosel's take out for my sons birthday and we all loved it! My children are used to their grandma's Filipino cooking, especially tradiational dishes like pancit and nothing compares to grandma's cooking. A small selection of delicious Filipino food, including noodles (pancit), spring rolls (lumpia), fried chicken skin and beef skewers. Some options are gluten free, vegetarian or keto. Patio area is not fancy but growing. New deck, nice relaxing place.

Stopped by last Saturday afternoon and ordered the Mirienda Platter (pancit bihon, siomai, lumpia, and chicaron w/ their sauces), dinuguan (pork blood dish) w/ rice, ube float, and pineapple soda. A husband and wife duo run this lovely shop, right off the bike trail (car parking also available). Patio dining available. He serves and she is the chef, offering about 5-10 items cooked to order. I had the Tinuhog pork skewers which comes with rice, papaya salad and a homemade vinegar dipping sauce. Highly recommend and will certainly be back!

I went to the restaurant yesterday and the food is amazing! Everything was so fresh and flavourful! I highly recommend the Pancit. We weren't able to have a slice of Ube Cake because they sell out of this item by Thursday most weeks. My friend and I are already planning a return trip so that we can get a slice of cake but the Ube Ice Cream was a delicious and light alternative. The staff was also very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Thank you for the wonderful experience and meal!

Looking for some Authentic Filipino food in Waterloo? Check this family-owned gem! I got take-out and my taste buds were blown away! It was all so delicious! They take a lot of pride in quality food using fresh ingredients. What I got: ✨ KAMOTE FRIES: These fries were BOMB ???? I’ve never had anything like it. SWEET POTATO FRI ES topped with CRISPY PORK BELLY, A RUNNY EGG, and drizzled with smoked BBQ aioli sauce. OMG it was SO GOOD ????Such a unique combination of flavours and textures that somehow worked wonders ✨PINOY SPAGHETTI with fried chicken wings: My first time having Flipino Spaghetti it was so yummy! When I saw Rosel’s had it on the menu I had to order! I am so glad I tried and loved the 2 crispy chickens that came with it. ✨ ADOBO SPARERIBS: These ribs were sooo flavourful and fall off the bone !! It was super yummy especially paired with the Garlic rice. ✨HOUSE PINEAPPLE SODA was the perfect drink to pair with this meal! Everything was delicious! I highly recommend you check out ROSEL’S. I def will be back to try their other dishes and ube cake (it was sold out ????) Save this for your next Filipino food cravings!! You won't be disappointed

Having been here three times and trying a wide variety of food, I can confidently say that this is probably one of the best hidden gems in Waterloo. Everything that I've had (Tapsilog, Longanisa Slider, Lechon Kawali, Summer Turon, Pineapple Soda) has been an absolute treat either dine-in or take out. The owners are very friendly and sociable and it's always nice to talk to them whenever I swing by. I need to come back at some point before the menu changes to the fall/winter one so I can try a few more things before they're gone for a while. Thank you so much for the great food, looking forward to coming back!

Really delicious food! Had the noodles and they were very well seasoned with a lot of flavour. Also had the turon which was the perfect amount of sweetness. The best part about this place is how fresh everything tastes, its all made right in front of you. The owners are also very nice! Overall would recommend.

We wandered in for our Kamayan Feast and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma. The colourful array of food that was presented was excellent all around. Highly recommended as it is the perfect place to experience Filipino Cuisine. Looking forward to the next meal!

This is a great spot! Everything I’ve had here was good - the spaghetti and fried chicken, all the rice and noodle dishes. The most recent dish I had was Tap Si Log, which is a garlic rice dish with flavourful beef, fried egg and fresh tomato and cucumber (not pictured). Whatever you choose, you can’t really go wrong here. Oh and the ube cake and ice cream are delicious! Very balanced. And the people working are super friendly every time.

My husband and I went to their soft opening for their new restaurant. Great location, delicious food and really friendly staff. We got the lumpia spring rolls, pork BBQ sticks, Pancit and crispy kare kare. Everything was so flavorful. Definitely will be back soon!

I’ve lived here all my life and wish Waterloo had more places like this. Ordered one of the platters and the ube float and it was absolutely delicious (not to mention all in-house). Hope this place stays open for years to come!
