I gave this place a 1 star because it will not allow me to give you zero. I ordered what looked like AMAZING food on skipthedishes and what i received was the most disgusting food i have ever bought. The salads were old and wilted and i was missing 1 entire salad. The sandwichs were made on stale bread...not grilled as requested and missing all the toppings. My blt had 1 small slice of tomato....for the money i paid????????? I had to throw the entire order out as it was inedible. For $50 i am LIVID

Really great soup! I was glad to speak with the owner who is making a major shift to sustainable take out containers and not just straws. Please stay away from this place. This is actually what happens to me when I went there on last Friday. I am a delivery driver I went there for collecting my order , app saying The address is 95 king st s and parking lot in front . I stop in front of 95 king st s but I couldn't find the restaurant, because they were located in wills way ,In the side corner. So I spent like 10 mins for finding the restaurant but I couldn't. Because the restaurant didn’t make any not for exact location. Then I called to the restaurant for helping me to find the exact location. The guy who's I spoke to the phone he was so rude and told me it's not his job to help me. And hang up. Then I see a another delivery boy he hep me to find the restaurant .then I enter there, There was only one staff at that time and no other customer in the store. This is what he exactly told to me ." You guys delivery drivers are making more money so I don't want to help you and it's your job for finding the location it's not bother me you guys find the place or not " So guys please advise you to stay away from this rude place

Very expensive and awful staff. I have been there 4 times now and walked out 3 of those times after the employee (same one each time) began arguing about something or yelling at me to hurry up. I have never gotten the chance to actually read the menu since she yells at you as soon as you walk in the door "what you want?!" and if you ask a question about something completely ignores the question and makes whatever you asked about. Also the fact that the sandwiches are made on the most basic bread ever is really disappointing. For a $10 sandwich the nice bread/rolls really should be included.

Had the Roast Beef, GF had the Chicken Cesear. Both really good. The chicken wrap had a generous amount of real chicken breast. Both sandwiches came with a side dill pickle. I'll return next time I'm back in KW.

I had a steak sandwich and my girlfriend had the tuna salad sandwich. They were so different than before! It turned out that a new owner has took over this place. I lived in Waterloo for 4 years, had lunch here for many times, but this time the sandwiches were absolutely fantastic! The steak sandwich was a lot more juicier and tasty, I could tell it was actually real steak, not the ones i had before which was kind of dry. My girlfriend had the tuna sandwich and she absolutely loved it. I tried the tuna sandwich and it was different too, it was a lot more creamier and has more flavor in the tuna salad itself. I usually order the tuna sandwich with a lot of dressing, but my girlfriend is very sensitive about her diet and ordered the sandwich without any dressings, and it turned out taste even better! Now I have fewer chances to go to Waterloo, but when I do, I would absolutely eat here every time!

Terrible service. I ordered 4 sandwiches from the university/king location on a Saturday night and the employee first made sandwiches for 4 different people that came in after me because my order was "too large" after I instructed the employee I was sick of waiting he finally finished my order only for me to find one of the sandwiches was made incorrectly and I once again had to wait for the employee to fill someone else's order first before my order was fixed. After all of this I was in the store for 32 minutes. Terribly ironic for a place called "quick" sandwiches. I reported my feedback to the owner a week ago and my situation hasn't been dealt with since 6 days ago. I won't be returning to quick sandwiches again.

As a recent new resident to the downtown Waterloo area I had seen this place and was anxious to try it out during a walk with my little one. Upon entering I looked for where to start an order and was told by the gentleman "we start down here" as he waved me to the end of the counter. Being my first time in I asked him what was popular/good and all he did was point to a white piece of paper taped to the glass with a very unimpressed look on his face. I wasn't in the mood for the "recommended" shredded chicken, so I started looking at the posted menus but he seemed to grow more impatient. I unfortunately then grew uncomfortable and told him I would pass and left the restaurant. I choose to go elsewhere instead where the employees had some customer service skills and valued those looking to support their business. My household will not be back to try this place again. With so many restaurants downtown there's many different options. I give it 2 stars because it was clean. But that's all I can positively say about my experience unfortunately.

Poor customer service, as well as false advertised prices. Pointed clearly to one listed item but got charged twice as much, as he claimed he hasn't changed the signs yet. That's false advertising- the bald mans attitude behind the counter was completely dismissive towards the fact I pointed at the $4.95 sign front and center, but got charged $8.95, ($9.95) and he seemed irritated I was questioning it. As a business owner myself, I was expecting this to be handled in a win/win situation, instead of win/lose. Disappointed

The owner is hilarious and super friendly! If you have a sharp mind that is msg free you will find the jokes are just that jokes! Was reading some of the other reviews and those who left poor ratings are likely easily offended by everything. This location is awesome, super clean, the food is quick and delicious and the service was vibrant and fun. That was my first time in quick sandwich’s and will definitely be having lunch there more often thank you!!!! Go check it out for yourself! :)

The service from these gentlemen is genuine and professional. The place is clean and inviting. And... They are environmentally friendly!! Biodegradable forks and spoons and paper bags and straws. The location was clean, the server was good and did his best with the line up. I ordered a Turkey Club. The food tasted okay but the serving of turkey meat was 2 small slices which barely covered the white bun that we had to pay extra for! Toppings were scarce and the sandwich just wasn't worth the $11.50 + tax. For the same price at another popular chain like Firehouse Subs I could get a bigger sandwich topped with lots of meat and toppings. I like to support smaller places but unfortunately this left me desiring more.

The food, the staff, and the clean restaurant were phenomenal. I got an incredible sandwich that rivals Vincenzo's sandwiches. Their homemade soup was incredible. And I was met with an onslaught of kindness and care. The only thing you might want to know is that it's more expensive that it might seem. They're offering top quality imported meats and homemade items so it won't be Subway pricing. If you want quality and great taste, definitely try it out.

I will not be returning to this location. I refuse to support an establishment that berates his employees. FYI - the reason your employees are making mistakes is because you are down their throat, making them feel extremely uncomfortable and nervous. In the future, I would highly suggest showing your employees some respect if you want continued business.

I've been here before and the food is great, however - and perhaps Quick Sandwiches brought me to my breaking point in this regard - if you happen to be open until 9 on a Thursday night, you should offer the entirety of your menu and services until that time. If I come in 10 minutes before 9 looking for a sandwich (a sandwich, not a catered platter), I shouldn't have to compromise my order because the oven was cleaned before closing and is now "inoperable" so as not to dirty it again. If the ownership or the employees don't want the store staffed past 9, then close at 8:30. Otherwise, close at 9 and stay as long as is required afterwards to shut down for the night; this is what other establishments do. And believe me, it wasn't for a lack of business that the oven was cleaned; two tables full of patrons and another having his sandwich assembled were inside the store at the time. Quick Sandwiches lost a customer last night because they didn't have the courtesy to provide me with what I wanted DURING THEIR REGULAR, POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. And that's not too much to ask.

Tried this place 2 weeks ago, and I've been 4 times since! Been coming to Quick Sandwiches every Wednesday ever since (to limit myself :P), and it is one of the highlights of my week! The food is always delicious, large amounts of food for a reasonable price, the name quick suits them well, clean and tidy environment, and the staff is nothing but friendly! Used to go to subway, but I will never go back. Quick Sandwiches stole my heart!

If you had asked me two years ago, I would have given five stars. However, every time I come back - I am left more disappointed. There have been two times I've watched the person making the sandwich go to scoop the cream cheese only to realize it was moldy. Today I watched the manager of the location (I think he is actually the owner) - berate a young employee while training him. He was polite to customers, but very rude to his new employee. It seemed that they perhaps they know each other outside of this employee/employer relationship - but it did not create a pleasant environment and had me questioning if I plan to ever return. The young, new employee did a great job making my sandwich - but the experience was totally ruined by watching his manager breathe down his neck the entire time and treat him poorly over the smallest things. Also, the folks calling this a great value for the price clearly haven't been watching the service, quality and portion-size decline over the last few years. $15 for two slices of processed turkey in a sandwich, a can of pop and a cookie? Not a good value, IMO.

Everything is WAY overpriced, and the owner tries to hide the menu prices, because if people saw them they would probably leave the store. He tries to squeeze every penny out of you by asking you if you want extra things added to your sandwich but doesn't tell you they cost more. When I visited, he was very rude to me and I couldn't even speak my entire order without him talking over me. However, apart from the owner's abysmal customer service, the sandwich I got at least tasted decent. It wasn't the best I've had, but also wasn't the worst- however not at ALL worth 14$. I would give 2 stars for them at least having decent tasting food, but with so many better options nearby like vincenzos I don't see any reason anybody should ever come here.

This is a great place for lunch. They offer gluten free and having celiac disease that means a great deal. I ordered a tuna sandwich today. The tuna is prepared in house so they could assure me it was gluten free and the bread is some of the nicest gluten free bread I have ever seen. They were considerate about my allergy and made sure to not use any tools that would have touched wheat or other ingredients. Thanks Quick Sandwiches

Vegetarians are obviously the money makers here. Two tiny pieces of cheese are the bulk of the veg sandwiches- not even remotely generous with seriously cheap veggies. For a little extra cheese, and I mean a little, they charge 3 times as much as a piece of cheese would cost, retail, at Vincenzo's. Recently, I ordered a grilled portobello panini. There was no GRILLED PORTOBELLO on the sandwich. When I mentioned this, having only seen a few tiny pieces of the same sliced mushrooms others get on meat sandwiches, I asked. Evidently, they were out of portobellos (some right across the street in the grocery store) and told me there were baby bellas on there. First, that is NOT a grilled portobello sandwich. Second, not telling people that beforehand is dishonest. Eight dollars for a sprinkling of very low cost warmed up veggies and two tiny pieces of cheese; geez, Subway does better than this for vegetarians. Clearly, veg sandwiches are where they make the biggest profits.

Today was my first time trying from this place . I ordered a smoked turkey sandwich with havarti cheese , avocado & a fried egg with Mayo and lettuce on white bread . The freshest ingredients I've ever tasted honestly ...better than subway , or firehouse . Better than any little sandwich shop around . The absolute best sandwich I've ever had ...finally a place that can make a sandwich as delicious as my mom ???? And her sandwiches are awesome . Thank you for making my sandwich one to remember . The man operating the store (who appears to be the owner) was extremely friendly from the moment I walked in. He made good conversation and was quite funny, and joked around with me. He also made sure to let me know about ingredients and such that would cost me extra, and described one of the made-in-house sandwich sauces that I tried (which was excellent). The sandwich itself was outstanding, and was quite large - definitely worth every penny. I ordered the fried egg veggie sandwich, and he offered salt and pepper for the egg. He also told me about the various vegetarian options available for my girlfriend and I, and explained what each one was like. In summary, the service was outstanding, the ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the sandwich overall was fantastic. Highly recommended.

It turns out that this franchise came under new ownership, I went for the first time since the changeover and was delighted with my experience. The two new owners were the ones who served me and they could not have been friendlier. They were talkative and recommended some of their new menu items to me, one of which I tried a sample of and absolutely loved it. I usually get a greek salad from here, in the past it has just been a generic salad, but this time I could see, feel, and taste how fresh all of the ingredients were (I literally saw them slicing nice bright red tomatoes) and they put a nice helping of feta cheese on top. But the best part was the dressing, they told me that I had two options for greek salad dressing, the normal one and their new home made one. I tried the new dressing and absolutely loved it! It was just overall a fantastic experience. I will definitely be returning!

Asked for a Chicken Club, I work from home so I asked my girlfriend to pick it up. Sandwich came with just cucumber and lettuce, picture shows Onion and Tomato on the sandwich. Was this a mistake? Was the fact the your sandwich board was out caused you to forget toppings? If you work at the shop you should know what is supposed to go on the sandwich. I wasnt happy it wasnt made correctly so I threw it out

Mouth watering sandwich. We ate in the Waterloo Square but had to go back to tell them we loved our sandwiches. Delicious to the last bite.

I usually love it here however the lady argued with me and tried to tell me that a lettuce wrap was 99c extra. You get lettuce free on a sandwich, I'm not paying extra for it because I didn't get a bun... plus the romaine was wilting, and the toothpicks weren't holding anything together, so I had to re wrap it myself. After I paid for it she went on to tell me that she is using an old system and still arguing that lettuce is 99c extra hahaha ya right

Great food but it would be nice if they answered their phone or held regular operating hours. I've walked over before at 9:30pm and it's closed, even though they're supposed to be open until 3am - and this has happened repeatedly.

Overpriced and mediocre. Owner aggressively tries to upsell instead of making the sandwich how you want it. If you're uptown go to Vincenzo's and get a 10x better sandwich for 1/2 the price.

Sandwich was great. The girl seems was new. What I didnt like how whether the manager or supervisor was treating her kind mean. He needs a little more patience and polite.

Found this place about a month ago and have been multiple times. I love it, very high quality and great service every time. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The food has been fantastic every time and I’ve had a bunch of different sandwiches and soups. Will definitely be back.

I had the Cajun roasted chicken sandwich it tasted good however, the chicken portion was so small. The lettuce on the sandwich was much more prominent and I had to remove some of it to even taste the chicken.

A good quality sandwich and soups are tasty, I just can’t justify paying $20 (before tip) for a sandwich combo? The other reviews are right when they say they try to upcharge you for everything….different bread, extra meat etc.

Ridiculously expensive for what we got. The chicken in the chicken caeser salad was dry; when we had asked for "lots" of dressing, he barely put any on. Also, a caeser wrap should probably contain more than 3 pieces of leaf lettuce. I think a Big Mac contains more lettuce than this salad wrap. The cajun chicken was mediocre at best. I asked for "A bit of sriracha, and garlic sauce". He told me the garlic sauce costs extra and didn't put any on. He put a big layer of sriracha on. The heat was fine, and I was lucky as the chicken was very dry. Definitely not worth the $23 we paid.
