This Catering belongs to the category of Italian restaurant.
What a great date night. My wife, 20month toddler and I had an amazing dinner. Made a reservation for 5pm (right when they open) and from the start it was great service and food. Put us near a wall so great for keeping the little one contained, have high chairs and booster seats depending on need and crayons were on hand with the menus and our little one’s pasta landed along with the bread (eating baby = happy baby). Food was second to none, great flavours and textures. Even the cocktail was bursting with flavour and not hiding behind sugars. Definitely on our list for a nice date night with or without the little one.
I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite some time and finally got the opportunity. The food was good yet my expectations were higher from all of the reviews I have read. I was not unhappy by any means, the service was wonderful on all levels and I was pleasantly surprised by the prices.
Food was good. Service was fantastic
The food is good.
Great place to go to enjoy Italian food. Big bright windows to the outside and inside the Atrium building courtyard. Service was great and the entire place worked as a team to deliver a great experience. Loved to see the manager stepping in to help out on a busy lunch rush. Meatball sub was very tasty and great value. House made tiramisu was also very well done! Salads, pastas and pizzas coming out looked good as well. I will be back for sure! Eccenzionale!!
So happy I decided to pick up pizza today. I arrived early and was treated like royalty for the 5 minutes I had to wait. The pizza was perfect and they're open on Sundays! 10/10
Good service, great food. Relaxing atmosphere.
The restaurant nice and wider inside. Great location downtown. My prawn spaghetti was delicious, the other pasta was good too. There is no bread comes with pastas so you can order if you want some. Tiramisu here is just average and small. Service is quite slow.
Go quite often for lunch! The salmon sandwich is amazing!
We went to celebrate our engagement last night (not that we publicized that). The highlight was the sparkling wine we toasted with, and it went downhill from there. Food: totally mediocre, unsightly (the beige-colored, overcooked, drowning in cream sauce, chicken and polenta dish), and not worth the price tag. Service: we had to remind the server about our bread after the apps had already arrived, ask for oil and vinegar (the ratio was off on in heavy favor of the oil), and our leftovers were never packed up and given to us at the end of the meal, despite having asked for them. Needless to say, we won't be back to celebrate our anniversary, or for any other occasion for that matter. Cafe Brio and Il Terrazzo are both superior.
This is the best place in town for good Italian dining. For the longest time I wasn't a big fan of this place because it is pricier compared to other great dining experiences in town. However, I'm becoming converted. The pastas there are so good. I've had great service there but also sub par.
Service
Awful service our waitress could not accommodate any of our special requests for food saying "that's how they are" and the pasta was literally noodles with butter. Wine was average but everything else could be made at home easily.
Awesome italian food, by awesome people. They also have a great wine list, and make a mean Negroni. What could be better for Sunday brunch than meatballs, polenta & eggs, with an Aperol Spritz?
Not a big fan of Italian food but I would come back here to have spaghetti. Service was good and fast and they put the effort to accommodate my need.
Great lunch specials, great pizzas, and a brunch on Sunday that's different than what everyone else in town is doing make this one of my favorite go-to restaurants, especially since my schedule doesn't conform to the usual meal times. I think sitting at the bar, with an Aperol spritz and sneaking glances into the kitchen is probably the best spot in the house, and there's usually no wait for it.
Ate here on 11/2/2019. Service was good but the food was mediocre at best. Pasta tasted like it was from Costco and my wife had to send her meal back because it was inedible. I would not recommend this restaurant. Hard to understand how this place can compete in Victoria.
Really great pizzas, price isn't bad either. Ambiance is nice and upmarket. Parking can be a little challenging at times, but nothing out of the ordinary for Downtown. Wines are good, but a little pricey, especially for the glasses
I took a star for their severs behavior, I was there last night, food was nice! Liked the Chardonnay, omg it was really good! But when I asked to have their menus the server asked me if I’m still hungry! Well... it was rude! Tbh didn’t expect that
Red house wine from Sicily was very rich a and smooth. Had the antipasto platter and loved the components together, very cohesive. However....we ordered the queen pizza which is supposed to be a rendition on the classic margherite pizza and it was tasteless and greasy. There wasnt even one basil leaf in easy slice...it was a crappy cheese pizza...disappointed 100% with the pizza
Went as part of dine around and the appie was great, the dessert was yummy but the main dish was not very flavorful. Would go again to try their regular menu
It was like stepping back into Italy! The character...the service AND THE FOOD!! AMAZINGLY GOOD!! We will certainly be back!!
The daily menu is excellent Italian food. For something special we recently went to a long table event that featured an area of Italy. These events happen every few months. You should call and ask Zambri's to put you on their mailing list to get updates on these events. The events usually have various courses and pairings of wine from a specific region of Italy. The last event we visited featured Puglia and included 6 appetizers, a main and dessert with wine pairing at $80 a person .The food was exceptional and the wine was very tasty all in an excellent value.
It was good, not Il Terrazzo good, but better than Romeos good.
Such good food and the servers were super
Best pasta in town, excellent antipasti and some delicious sandwiches. Our party all had an excellent lunch experience here
Simply amazing food and service.Would expect nothing less from Louis and company.Every single staff member was giving 120% at all times.Love this place!!
Great food, perfect pasta. Wonderful staff and a great place to sit and chat.

Unfortunately I am italian and live in Rome. Very good service, but the "italian" food was strange. This restaurant was suggested by our friend, but it was a delusion. The octopus with potatoes was original, but not Italian. Their pizza margherita, that they call " Queen pizza" , had a strange not Italian flavour.
Good, but due to personal taste not my favourite
Got takeout the other night and everything was fantastic. Peter helped me place my order so I could get it closer to closing than the online order system, which was very helpful, as we didn't want our food too cold. Will be stopping by again next time I'm in Victoria
Hands down the best Italian food in town.
Presentation and ambiance gave off the idea of high cuisine, but the main courses left some to be desired as they were overly salted and lacked flavor.
Very disappointing. Loved this place until today. The pizza had almost no cheese on it. The waiter lied and said this was normal for a Margarita (called the Queen on their menu). The owner realized the issue after seeing the uneaten slices. And very generously took 10 percent of the pizza price. 1.70 off my bill for a crust brushed with tomato sauce and 3 dimes of mozzarella. Nothing like I ate there before and how insulting to give a 10 percent discount on the useless pizza. Not even on the whole bill...and we are regular clients. Good luck with cost-cutting at the expense of reputation! Never going back. The dollar seventy of the bill did it for me. Ps. Nice crust if you don"t mind paying 17 dollars for a piece of bread with tomato sauce.
Great local pasta and pizza restaurant. Clean simple decor, good food.
Always a lovely dinner here, and we usually find another great wine to look for after trying recommendations from here. Service was exemplary, friendly and attentive staff; and the meal was superb. Thank you!
We recently held a get together at Zambrisfor about 25 to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. It was perfect! The venue was perfect, the food, the wine, the service. We can't say enough. Thanks for making it a great evening Zambri's!
We had dessert and post-dinner libations here. We ordered the restaurant specialty, tiramisu, but it was the chocolate budino that won us over. Great atmosphere. We loved the bar seating where we saw the attentive bartender do his magic. We will come back for a full meal.
Great food and ambience

Had three tiny slivers of Sole on a thin layer of pureed peas..yum? Appy size with a grande main price! If you like to pay big bucks for ambiance you'll enjoy it.
I really enjoyed the vegetable trio and soup at Zambri's. Service is terrific and the olives- yum. They have daily specials, definitely visit on a Monday for lasagna.
The ultimate in high-class Italian dining, nestled in the heart of downtown Victoria. Absolutely stunning meals, the service was exceptional and the wine selection is to die for.
Great Italian foods!
Great food, drinks and friendly service. Nice patio too!
(Translated) Mmm pasta (Original) Mmm pasta
had their special "Spaghetti and meatballs" and it was extremely salty. I wish I hadn't come. I have a final tomorrow and come down with bad nausea
Still one of the stars is this city of constantly added new stars. A great restaurant with personality. Excellent food, rock solid service. One of the classiest lunches in town, and an dinner destination with standards. This kind of consistency is an accomplishment on its own.
Beautiful pastas. Best value is the shared menus!
Good athmospere, awesome food. Really recommend it. Staff and chef are fantastic!
Went for Dine Around. It was amazing. Could not stop raving about it. The hostess was so nice, our server was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
The service is outstanding! The manager, Peter, has everything running like a well oiled machine. I will definitely return for the grapefruit infused gin…thanks for the recommendation.
The patio which is inside of a larger building is very unique and beautiful! You can admire the pretty lights, plants, and architecture. All while enjoying the delicious food, fine, and desserts.
One of the best spots in town! Great menu and awesome features.
Disappointing. Slow service, tepid food and pricey.
Dinner
Both food and service by Naomi was 5 star !!!
Set partially in an atrium you have the atmosphere and acoustic, comfortable private setting. Service and food was great. The halibut itself was cooked to perfection, but as noted by the waitress it was the only seafood menu option.
One of the must eat place in Victoria. I came here for lunch and ordered an egg white omelette. It was the best I ever had with smoked cheese. My friends ordered pasta and it was awesome as well. I recommend call and reserve first and it's usually crowded.
Excellent service. Great ambience. Delicious food. Will return.
Meal type
We recently held a family celebration at Zambri's and I have to say, the staff, the surroundings and the chef exceeded our expectations. Well done!
Charming authentic Italian food. Service has always been excellent and meals are perfect portion. Will definately return when I am in town.
The food and service was exceptional by far exceeded any Michelin star restaraunts I’ve been to
Great restaurant with the best staff!
An amazing place for a quiet meal and great food. This place is always delivers superior service and food
Service
My girlfriend and I went last night for a nice Italian dinner. We have never been to Zambri's before and were excited to try it. It took a while for the server to come and take our orders, no big deal they seemed a little busy. We got our drinks, mine was the iced tea, which was great, no too sweet, perfect for me. We get our meals, I ordered Penne with Peas & Gorgonzola, and my partner ordered Garganelli with Local Albacore Tuna. Honestly I thought mine was very bland and was lacking. No chicken or any other vegetable in it. Just peas. We ask for pepper and Parmesan to one of the lady servers who says she will get us some, but disappears and wait for 10 minutes until we ask the other server who doesn't apologize but he does get us our request, which by then our food is already cold. Disappointed honestly, there are better and less pretentious Italian restaurants in Victoria.
Zambri's food is fresh and fantastic. The combinations of flavours are superbly complimented with the suggestions of the sommelier. Great food, great value, great staff and great atmosphere. I've just decided to go again tonight!
Great food

Calming, modern atmosphere. Great food and service.
Awesome food! Had the crispy pork shoulder. Dinner companion had the lamb. Were impressed with both.
The food and service was great.
Great food and service!
Exceptional food, great staff and a lovely room... plus no Sunday brunch lineups!
Good
Food was great, pricey but I don't think nothing out of the norm. Staff was super friendly and polite. Thanks guys! Will come back!
Dinner at Zambri's on a weekend trip to Victoria. Average quality of food and presentation with rushed, harried service. So many good places to go, it is a shame we wasted one of our meals here.
Zambri’s is truly a gem of a place! The staff and Peter are wonderful humans who took such great care of me and my party. The food is absolutely amazing too! Probably the best authentic Italian food I’ve ever had. I honestly cannot rave enough about this place and HIGHLY recommend checking it out! You won’t be disappointed!! I’ll definitely be going back the next time I’m in Victoria :)
Dinner
We were really looking forward to a new dining experience, as we enjoy Victoria's culinary scene, and we saw many positive reviews about this restaurant. Unfortunately, despite the pleasant atmosphere, the food was a disappointment. The plating for both of our entrees was visually unappealing, and the food was overcooked and under-seasoned. Overall it lacked the freshness of Italian food that you usually expect. In our opinion, there are much better options for fine dining in Victoria.
The five stars go out to the staff that provide incredible service, friendliness, and skills. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, albeit the restaurant being very open (glass everywhere, high ceilings). I can't quite figure out what it is about the menu, but I feel something is missing, but then again, it's Italian food, and there's never anything wrong with it. It's a pretty good value too. Not too pricy, I find.
Great Italian food! Simple and perfect. Great wine and drinks! Special thanks to Jo for fitting us in tonight for our anniversary! Sean
Everything was delicious. Cooked perfectly. I may have to go back just to try dinner!!
2nd time here, first time to do a review. Ambiance is cozy. Pizza is quite big and can be shared with another person.
Expensive but delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu.
Always delicious food. Especially the crispy pork shoulder!
Nice place but the owner is a bit weird
Sunday brunch was fabulous - enjoyed with friends and Prosecco!
Fantastic service and great food. Had a pizza and a lasagna, both amazing. The restaurant is in a nice location as well. I have a severe peanut allergy and both the greeter and our waitress were EXTREMELY good about making me feel safe. Highly recommend.
The service and food is always outstanding.
Great date spot
Soooo good!
Good food. Expensive drinks.
Food was good, atmosphere was great, service left a lot to be desired
Had the pizza, it was incredible! There with a big group and service was great.
Awesome!!! Great staff, food is yummi!
Lovely staff. Delicious food. I recommend the rock fish omellette and the spahetti with the egg on top. Yum!
Amazing food 10/10
Fantastic food and excellent service!
We were so impressed with the service, we made an effort to offer our compliments to the manager. Too fast - soon, our waiter was pulled away to be the bar tender. We enjoyed our lamb and pork dishes and the wine. Was almost a 5 star night until we discovered the prices were not what we were told. The wine we ordered ($45) was out of inventory, replaced with a bottle of what we thought was a $55 bottle wine which ended up $64. We ordered a “half order pasta”m was told the price is “about half” of the full order but it turned out to be 75% of the full order price.
Possibly under new ownership or management. I used to go here and walk away impressed every time. A recent visit was underwhelming, unfortunately. The pork shoulder was dryer and tougher than before, we waited for over 5 minutes at the front before anyone acknowledged us. When they did, the hostess seemed like we were an inconvenience vs customers. Other issues included no bread or olives offered to us (when other tables appeared to have them), mixed up drink orders, not enough salt in the >$17 pasta, and a server who was way nicer to us when it was time to pay/leave a gratuity.
Generally liked it, but can be served faster and a few dishes made better. Seated immediately at 5 PM (opening). Took over 15 minutes to get antipasti. Cesare salad, olives, focaccia bread dipped in oil & vinegar all tasted delicious. Took over 30 more minutes to get primi, pizze & secondi. Catch of the day was wild sockeye salmon, which tasted mediocre. Funghi pizze tasted as well as prosciutto pizze, but which came with too much lettuce on top.
...meh... is all I have to say. Service could be better,, and same with the food. Nothing special to see here..
Service was amazing wine was awesome. Food not so much appie was greasy and just for pasta it was $27 that wasn't even enough to fill the plate
Delicious food, fabulous service and a great location. What more canna person ask for!
Beautiful food.
Four friends after the movie. Loved the eggplant appie
Best negroni in town with great food, excellent knowledgeable staff.
Great experience as always. My daughter had a great time. Mommy and daughter date. The edible gold on the dessert blew her mind!
Popular and busy spot with nice atrium seating. Good, simple, quality food.
Great Italian traditional dishes
Best Italian food in the city! They put a lot of care into their food and it always tastes great. It can get busy but when I go I book ahead on Open Table and never have to wait - a very convenient service that I wish all restaurants used!
Dinner
Amazing brunch!
The food kept coming all of it delicious. So generous!
Fantastic cocktails, the tagliatelle is to die for.
The lamb looked great, confirmed delicious by my companions. I enjoyed a really delicious prosciutto and mushroom pizza.
Always so delicious! The service is absolutely wonderful.....a favourite ????????
We had a wonderful time at Zambri's! We recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting downtown Victoria. Great ambience, delicious food, and excellent service!
The finest rustic Italian restaurant on the West coast. We have been going there for lunch and dinner for 20 years. Chefs Peter, Louis and Jeff continue to produce amazing pizza and pasta. Jo oversees service and ensures that you have a superb dinning experience.
Food was great
Meal type
The servers are top drawer and the food....when you can't go to Italy, Zambri's is the next best
Excellent food and drink menu, great location.
Excellent Italian cuisine
Good service great food enjoyed every thing about this place
Lovely wine selection!
Best Italian in Victoria!
Our reservation was not on the books but the staff found a way to make it work. Great food, awesome service. Definelty a $$$ or $$$$ on the spend scale, but fully worth it. If you don't order their pepperoni pizza you will only have yourself to blame.
Delicious meal, excellent and attentive service and great ambience. Definitely going back again! (but, the chairs were not comfortable for a prolonged 'sit')
Fantastic experience! My wife and I made reservations for dinner here on our first night out visiting Victoria. Couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to start off our trip. Awesome atmosphere, great customer service, and of course the food was delicious. Highly recommended!
Dinner
Good food
Excellent food. Good service.
Great menu and excellent meals.
Best Italian in the city. Comfortable yet classy setting, great food, and outstanding service!
Great cocktails and four course dinner for two option. Expensive though.

One of my go to favourites love the staff and food this place is amazing!
Had a great lunch, good service and food!
Great food
Absolutely amazing. Best food we’ve had in Victoria. Service was also very friendly!
Always excellent
Zambri's was extremely good. I was there with a group for a dinner training. Everything was so delicious! Even the very classic simple looking salad was the best I've tasted and the horderves were absolutely incredible. Everything was beautifully presented and the flavors were amazing, Paired with the perfect wine. Our waiter Peter P. was very attentive and friendly. A great evening????
I love Zambri's! The only downfall was the table we sat at (near kitchen entrance) had a unpleasant draft that we never got used too. Other than that, I can see why it was rated one of the top 50 Italian restaurants in Canada. Very nice wine selection, a variety of cocktails and not too many beers. The food was very tasty (don't over order...it wouldn't to much to make you uncomfortably full). The service was prompt and courteous, the setting was versatile. You could isolate yourself away for a more romantic setting or you can get a table right in the mix (or even eat at the bar) I give Zambri's a solid 5!
Always a great place to enjoy a great meal. Pizza is just a small part of a great menu! Located downtown in the Atrium.
Mandatory masking has been dropped. Arrive at restaurant to meet friends for dinner, get told by the hostess that I must wear one to be seated and they don't have any to provide. I left and doubt I will return, but at least they will be safe.
Excellent food. Interesting breakfast menu
That was a big disappointment.we went for lunch.around 2.00 and had planned for a day in Victoria.an hour after eating the wife became very I'll.made the trip home a pure hell at 3.00pm trying to find a wash room in that traffic spoiled or trip.tried for days to talk to a manager about our experience.finally but no apology.
Did you know that Zambri's is the best place in Victoria for brunch!? It is! Seriously, their brunch is amazing. So fresh. So unique. So delish! Sure, you could wait in line for the morning at a couple other more popular spots, but Zam's is seriously where it's at! Eat meatballs for breakfast!
Great place for brunch, but not on mother's Day. Service was slow, very slow.
Wonderful food. Wine nights fun. Good ambience for dinner or snack with wine
Great cocktails, food + service. Beautiful space as well.
Edited: This place has been our favourite for years for Italian in the city but last night dinner made me never want to come back. It was the worst service I have ever had in my life. We were never asked for drinks when ordering our food, then once we finally got drinks we never were able to get refills. They completely forgot to put my meal in, so I watched my friends eat while I waited for them to make mine. We waited 30 minutes for the bill and had to ask a different server because ours was no where to be found. They didn't even give a discount or comp for not putting my meal in. I don't think I will return after this. Also, the meal quality has gone down significantly recently. So disappointed. Guess we will be going elsewhere for pasta.
Ohh my !! Really great place and really yummy food !! Highly recommend the beef tenderloin
Wonderful delicious brunch
Good food, well priced for what we got. Ordered the 4 course meal for two. lovely selection of dishes would order again.
Meal type
Different menu items like the octopus but at reasonable price. Delicious food. Very nice atmosphere.
I've been coming to Zambris for years (at one point once a week until I moved to Vancouver!) The food is always constantly amazing and the staff are outstanding, friendly and responsive. The spaghetti Ali olio is life changing and my favourite food group. The olives are outstanding and the wine selection is ever changing and true to its Italian roots. Frankly, I don't understand the supposed "3.9" ranking. Haters gonna hate? Not sure but Zambris is the best in town.
Amazing Italian food!
Very nice restaurant. Pleasant staff and they work with your food allergies
Large group party in a private dining area making for a fun 90th birthday party event. 5 courses served at a leisurely pace allowing for lots of visiting with the host and hostess.
Loved everything. Quiet, great food, excellent friendly service. Just what we were looking for.
Been several times. Once for family birthday. Service relaxed and attentive. Real Italian food. Fresh and delicious. Reasonable for lunch.
Love the food
Lovely Italian cuisine with great host. The cocktails were not anything special for the price.
Excellent meal and service
Excellent service, Atomospher. It is so nice to visit alone too
Great service and great food! Emma was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Great experience
Yum yum
Pizza was crispy and very fresh! Lots of flavour for something that appears to be so simple. Enjoyable atmosphere, and they serve fantastic drinks. Definitely will visit again!
Great ambience. Food is average Italian.
Unique Italian dishes, a nice change
Might be best pizza in Vic
My friend Louis runs a fine establishment. One of the best meals (for lunch) that I have had in this city in quite a while. Top drawer, My friend.
I complained to a Victoria native about the city being a gastronomic wasteland. She invited me to Zambris - before it was in its present location. How absolutely wrong I was. A few years later Zambris moved to its current larger location and I can't wait to visit every time i am in the city. EXCELLENT food, superior service, wonderful atmosphere. This is what dinner out is all about!
So great to eat indoors and drink bottles of amazing wine. Good to have this small but very important piece of normal back!
Best bolognese I've had in a long time. Nice wine list and good service
Service not good. Parmesan pre grated and very dry.
Bread was fridge temp, maybe that's the intent but overall the focaccia was only average. Uneven seasoning throughout all the other dishes. Salad was very bland, unevenly dressed and had no salt. The pork shoulder was dry (probably due to deep frying to get it crispy) and very heavily salted. The steak was cooked well and seasoned properly, but the potatoes accompanying the steak were basically salt bombs. I wish I could have tried a pasta or pizza, but from what we ordered I wouldn't come back. Tiramisu was good, affogato had the tiniest scoop of ice cream which was completely lost in the espresso by the time it arrived at the table. Service and ambiance were very nice but not why I'm here.
I love this place if you love to eat and you like a good time come here
Our go to restaurant in town. Food is always on point and the service is fantastic. The 3 and 4 course shared dinner option is also amazing value. Dishes not to miss are the bread dumplings and the pork shoulder. Can't recommend this place highly enough
Best restaurant in Victoria, great professional and friendly customer service, meals are of top quality and cooked from scratch fresh. Waiting time is extremely reasonable and there is an overall chilled out ambient atmosphere to compliment. Great selection of drinks and a wide menu. Recommended!
Beautiful restaurant with incredibly delicious food. If you ate looking for a great Italian meal, Zambri's is the place to go.
Nice staffs and environment to have good food with friends.
Inattentive staff.
Wonderful meal with great service
Food and wine are excellent here.
Great food and great service. Romantic fine dining atmosphere with modern menu with obvious traditional roots to the offerings.
Great food. Family friendly.
Very good food, nice setting and atmosphere, with fast, appreciative service. Home-made focaccia bread ($4), moist and fresh, great with the oil & vinegar ($3): a good starter complemented by the Venetian Sprutz ($10) garnished with an olive and orange slice...so refreshing! The Orecchiette with house made sausage, rapini, and broccoli puree ($20) was delicious. And very filling. At first when I saw the plate, I thought I should have ordered an extra side, e.g., meatball, piece of chicken, or a sausage. Happy I didn't...that would have been too much. My meal was just right. I ordered some gelato to go ($8) and to enjoy dessert at home. I recommend Zambia's; give it a try. There is seating available with the Atrium section of the building. I highly recommend reservations for preferred seating. P.S. the "Ottavio's Housemade Gelato" is wonderful. I ordered the Lemon flavour (has chunks of fruit).
The sort of menu you struggle with, because choosing means missing out on all the other lovely dishes on offer. I'll be back to work my way through all the things I didn't have. Shame they don't sell their excellent prosecco by the glass though.
Great service, great ambience, great food. On the pricier side but worth it. Good authentic Italian food
Really lovely dinner tonight! The service was wonderful, everyone was warm and welcoming :) so yummy.
Fresh pasta was served, great service. Will return.
With a Ospitalità Italiana seal, you know you in for some terrific Italian food and properly cooked al dente pasta. This restaurant certainly lives up to its reputation, every single dish was on point. The carpaccio was lovely, great addition of fresh fennel. As for the bucatini, I could have gone for seconds, but the portions are nice and generous. El Pacino cocktail...you can’t go wrong with mezcal. Friendly staff, nice modern interior (though lacking a little in warmth). Highly recommend!
Ordered the Salsiccia pizza, worst pizza ever, burnt and barely anything on it, will not go there again, also the host was very rude and pretentious.
Meal type
I had this amazing brunch dish of Salmon cakes. Delicious and beautifully presented!
Been going to Zambri's for years and it has always been a fave, but I have watched the prices soar and the portions get smaller and smaller. Most recently, they now charge for the complimentary bread and the olives. Wine pours are noticeably smaller. but again, prices have risen. The food is great which is too bad because I would happy if the portions remained the same despite the price increases, but they are not. Easy $100 for 1 person not including tip. I am a dude who likes to eat, but at this price? Hopefully something changes soon or I suspect regular like myself will stop going.
One of my favourites!
(Translated) An excellent Italianer (restaurant) in Victoria. The menu offers a colorful and very good variety. Pizza, with a special topping adapted to the region. The pasta also delicious. A special recommendation is the salad. The restaurant is simply furnished but not uncomfortable. Very nice service! Everything was very clean, especially the toilets (Original) Ein exzellentes Italianer (Restaurant ) in Victoria. Sehr netter Service! Alles sehr sauber, insbesondere die Toiletten
Absolutely delicious food, carefully crafted from locally sourced products.
Zambris offers a lovely atmosphere right downtown. it is on the pricey side, and there are limited vegetarian dishes. It is more of an upscale place, so good for a fancy dinner out... However, food is pretty good if youre willing to treat yourself.
Such a great place for our staff party. Great service, amazing food. Highly recommended!
Peter Zambri is the definition of a perfectionist. Every dish is engineered - I swear he measures the forks in the dining room before he makes the pasta so that each and every morsal fits perfectly. A dish created with tiny peas that just -pop- nestle themselves inside the pasta shells... AND THE FLAVOURS - I had a dish there this week with grapes. The sweet bursting flavour of a grape paired with a more robust, autumn meat dish was such an arresting and delicious surprise! The man is an artist. Stop reading this and get down there to eat!
The food was unbelievable. The drinks were stellar. The service was second to none.
Unfortunate experience last night. Host asked for my vaccine id in a rude way. Also I was ID’d immediately and without courtesy. Finally my glass was chipped on the rim, lucky I didn’t cut my lips. ????????
Staff was great, food was great, drinks were great. Solid time all around.
I love Zambri's but costs have become ridiculous. Ordered 2 sides of olives for pick up at $4 a pop and this is what I received. There were EIGHT individual olives in each tiny container. $8 for 16 olives. Unbelievable.
Very authentic and flavorful pasta!
This was a group business event and both the service and the food was exceptional! Loved that they had a private room to prevent distractions from our speaker. Would definitely hold another group event here.
Awesome service awesome food and awesome tiramisu!!! We will be back!!! Thanks Peter and CRU. You should be proud!
Food was ok, but service was very slow. They are going to have to learn how to cook salmon so it doesn't resemble a hockey puck.
Good food and good service. Reasonably priced for the quality of food
Had an amazing meal here. Pasta was excellent!! Will be back again soon. Very nice setting as well.
Absolutely beautiful food, great drinks, romantic ambience. Worth the price.
Excellent food and service
My favorite Italian restaurant. Miss the chef and the food there. Especially when it was a smaller restaurant beside London drugs. Spaghetti. Meat ball sandwich and tiramisu are amazing there.I will bring my family there when we come back to Victoria .
Great wine and spicy olives. Friendly staff.
The food is very mediocre -- bland Caesar salad, undercooked pasta (hey, I've eaten pasta in Italy, so I understand al dente, but the pasta was practically crunchy). And the dessert cake was cold and stale. I wish I had stayed at home and made my own. This is about the fourth time I've eaten at Zambri's - it's always been underwhelming.
Stunning atmosphere which was classy but you can dress casually and still fit in. Table service was good but the wait for your meal was extensive. The pizza I found was a bit on the bland side, but the Caesar salad was traditional, fresh and delicious. I don't however think I would return simply due to the wait times.
Very affordable Italian cuisine! Staff were awesome.
Great service atmosphere and food

Great menu. Tried the three course meal. Such great pasta. I still need to try their world class pizza.
People talk about the restaurant as a good place for atmosphere and staff - I agree. What people don't say is, in my opinion, better Italian than many of the other Italian restaurants downtown that get a lot of hype. The drinks are also very good!
Reasonable Italian food. Convenience as it is close to office. Otherwise everything is average, would come back only gor the cobvenience.
Just reading the reviews! Not a great manager: below, Rodriguez - in this case manager should be offering a free pizza of the same type but properly made! *I guess the owner doesn't read these/isn't aware of staff conduct.
(Translated) Nice restaurant, very nice and good food. A small flat on the service. One takes the order, another comes serve, invert plates for 2 guests and does not bring the dish ordered for the 3rd guest. Apologies and little gift facts. Great respect all the same. Beautiful evening.
Good food and nice ambience
Great food, great service and atmosphere
Zambri's is always excellant-our go to brunch spot.
Burnt aglio, olio & peperoncino arrived after what seemed like an eternity. They had also ran out of beer, only Peroni on offer.
Great Italian food with nice ambiance.
Food was ok, service about the same. It was sufficient for lunch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.
Very nice
Pretty good, not bad food.
Could not give this place a higher rating. Above and beyond service, food and ambiance. We really were blown away by the care and attention of the staff. Do not pass up a chance to visit this location for an amazing evening in Victoria. Absolutely beautiful decor too!
Blah. Way over priced for a steak the size of a hockey puck. We went for a bday dinn for 7 people, $850 bucks. I can Q a steak as good or better....sorry no returns here
Very nice restau, waiters very professional, food delicious , atmosphere very nice for date night. Why only 4 stars? they brought my wife's birthday cake with no candle. Hmm.
Great menu, well prepared, good bar, good service. The price point is maybe a touch high. We had a very good meal and will return. College cocktail was really good.
(Translated) Great Italian, for me the best in Victoria. Open light space with outside terrace. Delicious cocktails and special antipasti. No hectic, nice dishes: pasta, small pizza choice, delicious real Italian secondary. Absolute must (Original) Prima Italiaan, voor mij de beste in Victoria. Open lichte ruimte met buitenterras. Heerlijke cocktails en bijzondere antipasti. Geen hectiek, mooie gerechten: pasta, kleine pizza keuze, heerlijke echte italiaanse secundi. Absolute aanrader

Amazing food and service.
Dinner
Loved it. Light, bright and clean ambience with great cooking.
Beautiful ambiance, great food and nice people make Zambri a delightful Italian restaurant.
Best Italian in the city!!!
Service
Impeccable food and service every time. Highly recommended.
So yummy!! They accommodated my meal preferences (vegan), great staff, great food, beautiful restaurant.
Best authentic Italian in the city.
Revised: (2.5 ????) After posting the below review of our experience we were immediately contacted by a concerned GM who wished to make things right. Assured that this was not the intended experience, we were invited to return. Our second visit was in most of the positive ways, similar to the first. Good food. Well timed attention at the table to start. Overall the food was well thought out, though the italian menus take a familiarity with italian cuisine nomenclature. I was optimistic about improving the rating to 5 stars; however, our second visit had other significant issues. Our appetizers came promptly, as did the wine service and routine visits to the table, however, after an hour of Waiting and free bread, we learned that our main course had not been entered correctly and still had not been started. At this point the restaurant was packed and very busy. We looked around after the second hour and noticed that the entire area of the restaurant was filled with patrons who had arrived after us and were either finishing or being served. After significant patience we brought this to the attention of our server. We wete proved with complimentary desserts to our whole party. All in our taboe of 4 spent 350$ and 3 hours in thr restaurant. 1 and a half of those hours just waiting. It isnclear that the restaurant doesn't design this experience or intend it but an internal review of its operations and training may improve the delivery and timing aspects of its service in the mid to later portions of the dining experience. The interior of the restaurant is quite a loud environment, while the patio is quiter and a little more comfortable on the rars, it may suffer from lack of attention. Our characters at the table were appropriately dressed, generally quiet, patient and well mannered, as were the personalities of the servers. Summary: I do recommend trying this restaurant, because the menu is i interesting and the food is worthy of a good overall review. But the service seems inconsistent at best, likely due to lack of experience or training and blind spots. A maitre-D would be an asset to improve timing. Original Review: (1 ????) We were a quiet, well dressed group with a reservation. Before we were finished, we were interrupted by the acting maitre-D and presented with an un-timely request to pay, and then asked to leave, so they could give the table to another group. We still had wine in our glasses, and we were considering another bottle. We had been there for 90 minutes, and were told there was a time limit on the table. We were not notified prior to this. Feeling sleighted, we asked to discuss this treatment with the maitre-D, who responded with (and i paraphrase): too bad, go. We were not loud or disruptive, and our whole table was shocked. If you GO, take as much time as you want or need, and dont let them bully you out like we did. Apparently a few hundred dollars isnt enough. Ive never been asked to leave a restaurant like this before. Horrible and disappointing.
Stop reading and just go already! It's so darn good you're missing out by wasting time reading all these comments. Do yourself a favour, stop right now, and just go. Go. Go now! It's delicious!!
Good not great. Wouldn't go back for Italian.
I did not enjoy my lasagna - there seemed to be 10 or more sheets of pasta and not enough filling nor sauce which deemed the entree to be tasteless. The 3 tiny triangular mozzarella appy was over fried and very brown. Hubby ordered crispy pork shoulder which was definitely overdone. All dishes not enjoyable.
After an okay experience on Valentines Day of this year, my partner and I decided to give Zambri's another shot as our first dinner out following the COVID-19 re-openings. We were both extremely satisfied with the food, the drinks, the service, and the pricing. I had the Spaghetti Aglio Olio Peperoncino with added spot prawns and my partner had the Funghi Pizza. Both were phenomenal. I would consider the Aglio Olio perhaps the best pasta I've had in my life. We will definitely be back, and hopefully before spot prawn season is over!
Great place for a slightly casual but special dinner and drinks.
Such good food and lovely eating in the atrium
Excellent for brunch
Ate in the atrium. Very nice atmosphere. Food was very good too. Would recommend
It was a bit plain
Average food, small portions, exorbitant prices. My wife and I ordered the striploin steak, were not asked how I wanted it cooked, portions were very small and we were charged $162.85 for a salad, main and small chocolate pudding. 18% gratuity was charged. Nice environment but poor value.
Great experience, well managed and great food, bad restaurant design almost painfully noisy when full.
Been going to Zambri's for years and almost always enjoy the food and service. The Caesars salad is as good as it gets. We will forgive our waitress for never having been to Italy as we love all things Italian! Ben Kersen and family.
Nice atmosphere and tasty food at a reasonable price.
Dinner
Decent Italian food, good to go with a group.
Great lunch..
The food was delicious but the service wasn't the greatest. It was slow and inattentive. I've been to Zambri's a couple times in the past and the service was fantastic, but this most recent trip it wasn't good at all. Not great when you have to get back from lunch and just want to pay. If this had been my first experience, I would have lowered the stars drastically. As I have had a better experience before, I'm giving 4 stars, but I may not return by my choice.
omg the best dinner I have had in a long time. Love Zambri's. Staff is amazing and food to die for. Thank you, thank you.
Had the meat balls - awesome!
Really incredible food. The Tuna Albacore was amazing.
The pasta was very, very good. Will recommend to a friend. I docked a star because we were "helped" by 6 different people, sometimes 2 at a time, it was a bit much.
It was very good, just a tad expensive compared to similar places.
I eat here fairly regularly. My last dinner was fantastic, not saying the previous weren't. The customer service is a throwback when establishments went above and beyond to anticipate needs you didn't know you had.
Always a great italian dining experience with a warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and amazing food and desserts.
We were there Sunday for dinner. All the review seemed good. We like the location and décor. The service was ok. However the food was not that good. I had the lamb shank and my husband had their meat lasagna ( which according to the waiter that it was their specialty, only available on Sundays). My lamb was OK. A bit expensive for $26, the portion is not very big( I was still hungry after an appe and dessert ) The meat lasagna was such a disappointment; very plain and only one very thin layer of meat sauce. They should have called it a block of pasta. I will not recommend this place for it's food. OK to have wine and some appetizers.
Great place for dinner, especially after taking in a movie downtown. Authentic Italian dishes that will make your mouth water! Love their Caesar Salad! ????????
Delicious food and great service. On par with the price. Great experience.
Really nice atmosphere and great service, but the mezzi rigatoni was poorly cooked and had little flavour.
The service and food is unparalleled in Victoria. I've enjoyed this place for at least the past 5 years, nearly every week. I know good food, and have enjoyed every bite. If you can, pull up a stool at the bar for an enjoyable conversation and terrific wine and cocktail picks. Five stars in my book.
TLDR: I've been twice and I can not recommend this restaurant at all. If you want great pasta and good service, go to Pagliachis or Il Covo. Both are well worth it. I'd honestly rather stand in line at Pags for an hour than go back to Zambir's. If you just want to drink some great wines, Zambi's is a good choice, but ask the server to have your wines poured straight away so they can breathe, otherwise you'll get a very nice, top notch wine poured straight from the bottle after a 20+ minute wait. Full review: Service was painfully slow and often awkward. Our initial drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive. Further drink orders took almost as long. All staff we dealt with were slow. Our main server did not stop by to bother us much, but then again she also took ages to serve us. Another server, possibly a manager or operator? stopped by all too frequently. A good server/host knows how to look at a table and judge its needs without interrupting needlessly. And a great server can meet those needs quickly and almost steathily. No such luck. The food was decent, but only just. My pasta dish, the Orecchiette, was bland to the point of almost being flavourless. The sausage, made in-house, tasted like regular breakfast sausage. It had a bad mouth feel and gave me the same sort of indigestion as cheap breakfast sausages have in the past. I eat all sorts of sausage regularly so it wasn't me. The wines were good, however they seemed to have poured directly from the bottle. Given Zambri's claims about its wines I was expecting decanted wines. It would have made more sense with how long we waited for the drinks. Aside from seeing our wines poured from the bottle right before serving, the wines had a faint astringent taste which is a hallmark of a wine straight from the bottle. Once the glass had been given a further 10+ minutes to breathe, the wine tasted much better. As I said, the wines were good, but Zambri's could have easily let them breathe before serving them. They didn't; they just poured it from the bottle and served them straight away AFTER a 30 minute wait. The atmosphere is ok, but only ok. Situated right downtown, the location is noisy and sits across from the abandoned and defunct Cineplex theatre. Inside, the decor is fairly standard. It's clean and nice, but no special efforts seem to have been made. This is the second time I have had a similar experience. The visits were around 1-2 years apart. Service, food and ambiance were all the same both times. Go to Il Covo or Pagliachis and thank me later.
This is the second time that I've been and had an outstanding meal. My husband and I are very good cooks so we have gotten used to mediocre meals at restaurants. This time my friend and I both had the crispy pork on kale. It was outrageously good. We were also serve great bread and a tasty flavourful dish of olives. The staff was very attentive and responsive and friendly. some wonderful wine was recommended. The whole experience-the service, the food and the ambience was beyond reproach. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Italian food, and friendly service. A little loud at peak times.
Thank you for a wonderful 60th birthday celebration!! Service was excellent and food delicious as usual.
Excellent fresh food, great environment.
Zambris has been on the map for several years (20+) and there's definitely a few good reasons for that. They've got a fantastic menu and nice wine selection, pairing nicely with the warm, candle lit ambiance and front of house staff. Its a restaurant I know I will always have a great experience at and look forward to introducing friends to. Fortunately, their restaurant is located in the Atrium building. Due to Covid restrictions, they have expanded their restaurant into the atrium, offering guests more space and a new perspective. Though do note that the the atrium seating area is without background music, so it makes for a quieter, more intimate dining experience.
Excellent and friendly service. Pizza and pasta were delicious (slightly thicker crust / cooked perfectly al dente). Desserts were so so good. I recommend the chocolate budino!
I had dinner the other night here with my other half and had one of the most amazing dining experiences we've had here in Victoria. The service was impeccable, the food was fresh and delicious and the ambience was so on point. While that may read like someone paid for a review I assure you we both had our minds blown. We will be coming back, a lot.
Sat at the bar with my wife as the place was full. I don't go here often and don't know why. Food was amazing, atmosphere was great - not too loud, not too quiet. Bartender / server was knowledgeable, friendly but good balance of conversation and leaving us alone. I think he made the best Manhattan I've ever had. Pet peeve - math on larger volumes of wine provides slight disincentive to buying the bottle versus half litre. ????♂️
Some of the most amazing food I've ever had, and topped off with top-notch friendly service.
Lovely restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine Food: The food here rarely disappoints. The main menu itself does not change very much but they do have rotating specials based on seasonal local ingredients. A dish I regularly order is the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. It is simple but always prepared well with a touch that I cannot seem to replicate at home. Service: attentive and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Value: The prices make sense given the setting of the restaurant and relative to other Italian restaurants. That being said, the Aglio e Olio is essentially just pasta and oil and it is priced the same as all of the other pastas that have meat. For a long time there were not many good alternatives for authentic and quality Italian pasta but now I can get a similarly quality Aglio e Olio at Ciccios Cucina for a fraction of the price; granted this is a food truck without the overhead of a restaurant downtown. Overall this is an exceptional restaurant and one of the few that serves authentic Italian food in Victoria.
Dine in
Decent place. Had a good view of a street level downtown area. I was seated right away. If we weren’t I would have been fine sitting at the bar. The menu is mostly in Italian. The waiter did a great job explaining everything to us. I had a pretty specific request and he delivered really well. Pretty private. Didn’t feel rushed over priced. Definitely a fine dining place. You’re not going there after work for a beer. Would go again. Parking is a pain but you’re downtown and that’s to be expected.
What a fantastic place to eat. The cocktail list was fun, the food delicious, and our waitress was excellent. Great business lunch spot, or romantic dinner. Would definitely eat here again.
We were a large corporate group, the server was very good but overworked. Did not have enough help. The food was average, a general group consensus. If you wear hearing aids the acoustics were very bad. However, the house wine was genuine Italian and unique.
Good location
Really great broccoli
Amazing food at a premium price. We went here for my birthday and weren’t disappointed. I really don’t mind to pay for great food when the experience matches. That was the case here. I’ll be back for more special occasions when I’m in Victoria.
Excellent food and great service. We were visiting from the states, it was so delicious we ate here twice. Highly recommend any of the pizzas and the beef tenderloin was amazing.
DAAAAAAAAAMN SON THE PASTA WAS HOT
Delicious food and great atmosphere. I had a lovely dinner with friends, we showed up with out a reservation and very luckily they had a spot for us and sat us right away.
I made a reservation and was at the restaurant 10 minutes beforehand. We waited 30 minutes for the table. I asked the bartender if he considered this a busy night and he said it was not busy. So it was not a busy night, and we had to wait 40 minutes for the table that I reserved a week in advance. The servers were did not even acknowledge us when we walked in. I expected after all this they would offer something maybe like a free dessert especially considering it was my birthday, but they did not. Edit: Manager is replying that I received 5 glasses of Prosecco and food on the house, but I received 1 glass of Prosecco and absolutely no apology from them that night. I would have much rather been seated on time.
Amazing food and fantastic service! One of the best restaurants in Victoria.
Meal type
Delicious food. Fantastic service. Beautiful atmosphere. Definitely going back!
Great food and atmosphere.
Excellent service, good food
I am always impressed with the food and service at Zambri's. It's one of my go to restaurants in Victoria.
*Significantly Overpriced* _Please, don't waste your money here, particularly if you are taking a family_ I took the family to this restaurant because we always seem to like Italian cuisine. I would say that, compared to other quality restaurants where we've dined, this one was a tad on the pretentious and overpriced side. It's is _extremely_ important to note that a significant number of the meals on the menu come with few vegetables, if any. They do not come with starter salads, or anything that most people have become accustomed to at quality restaurants. All you get is a hunk of whatever meat you ordered, prepared in a decent (but not spectacular) way, presented in very prettily on oversized plates. There is no children's menu, nor will they prepare a smaller version of anything on the menu for children or seniors. By way of comparison, the previous evening we ate at The Olive Grove (about 10 minutes drive away) for about 30% less money, and got about double the food with a massive array of amazingly prepared vegetables. Summary for Zambri's: Pros: Very pretty setting; looks good, so it will impress your friends; they do well at pretending to be authentic Italian; they are located a few blocks away from the hubbub around the waterfront, but close enough that you can walk to it, and enjoy a little window shopping along the way. Cons: Expensive; Sub-par food; slightly stodgy service; really expensive; no vegetables to speak of; focaccia bread was served dry with no oil or butter or anything, except for a hand full of whole olives in a small bowl; exhorbitantly expensive; fills up by 6pm, so be sure to either make reservations, or arrive shortly after 5pm. Price comparison: For my family, I am accustomed to spending roughly $100 for a respectable and authentic meal at a decent restaurant, plus tip. I expect to receive a full, round meal, that includes a separately ordered starter to share, then vegetables, starch (potatoes, rice, or something), and the meat or protein, plus a couple of simple beverages. At Zambri's, I paid $185 plus tip (I was kind and still tipped well, but I regret it now), and I received a slab of decent fish and 3 small potatoes. There were few (if any) "seasonal vegetables" to speak of on any of our plates, except my son who ordered the Tuna. The deserts were tasty but _exceedingly_ small. The corn bread cake was tasty, but for $7 I expected _a helluva lot more_ than what came. It was quite truly offensive.
Despite being very busy we had perfect service and amazing food. Attention to detail and quality were undeniable. Our server was so personable and efficient.
Get the octopus, delicious!
Service
Zambri's is a go-to for me. Consistently amazing food with great menu choices. Wonderful management and wait staff, and the atmosphere and decor is modern but still cozy. Love it!
Zambri's is a nice place to be during COVID-19. Tables are spaced, staff are masked, entry and exit separated, hand sanitizer available, clean washrooms. And the food is very good.
Delicious food in a romantic atmosphere, what more could you want!
Good service and food.
Very helpful in dealing with a food allergy. Atmosphere is perfect for date night.
A very nice restaurant and pretty good quality. I got the salmon special. I think the dish might've been trying to attempt too much. It was thinly sliced salmon that was cooked "on the plate'". It was good, but not great and I felt like a salmon fillet might've been a nicer representation of the fish and would've allowed for a better cook of the fish. The others I were with all enjoyed their meals though commented it was all pretty rich. Pizzas for starters were nice - though light on fillings I think this was very intentional and I quite liked it. Wine was good as was the service.
Good food, nice ambiance.
Very delicious food and excellent service. The gin and home made tonic with absenth aperitif was amazing.
The food is amazing, as always. The menu is limited due to Covid, but still a lot of delicious things to choose from. They have done a really great job separating the tables to create more space and have expanded out into the atrium. Things are different during the pandemic, but the service and food are as amazing as they ever were.
Wonderful lunch and always friendly service! Love the bread and gnocchi. Great place and keeping on top all Covid guidelines. Highly recommend!
Amazing dessert and ambience ????????
Fantastic atmosphere and food, our go to for Italian in town. We have been going there for 15 years and have never been disappointed.
Great food as usual
Staff good food great Italian. They know how to charge.
Quiet, great service and food
I did like it, good food, the only problem is that me and my fiance ordered the 3 course for 2 people and one of our appetizers had meat in it and they said they would fix it but they didn't even bring out a new one, and just brought out the main course.. I was loving everything else until then.. also the waitress wasn't really that nice. I didn't catch her name but my fiance asked for extra cheese on the pasta and she said no..
Waited an hour for food which was average at best. Waitress was terrible didnt come back to our table the entire duration of our wait for food. Will never go back.
Beautiful ambiance and delicious food. It's a perfect date spot.
Cool lounge like atmosphere. Great service and excellent food.
We went for the first time; here's my wife's and my experience: 1) customer service: really great staff but the experience was disjointed: three different people helped us with drinks, appetizers and the actual food. The table-cleaning guy brought the main dish but didn't bring/offer pepper. 2) food: Our expectations weren't met; the food was just alright. The beef tartar appetizer was very bland and overloaded with fennel root shreds. The pasta was well cooked (al dente) but not different from noodles from Costco (from what I could tell at least). The pizza Salsiccia had a nice thin crust but the flavour was average; only a few tiny sausage pieces and the crust was a bit "cardboard-y" (words of my wife). Now maybe this was due to power outages a few hours before creating challenges for the food prep but since we weren't told so I can only assume. Not an excuse then. 3) Ambiente: Nice & cozy; maybe a bit too crowded. We had a reservation at 5 and were seated right beside an already crowded table.. Wasn't an issue since the neighbours were nice and civilized but I don't really want my neighbours to hear what we're saying on a data night. 4) Overall: didn't meet our expectation; we felt overcharged ($85 excl. gratitude) for 1 shared appetizer, pasta & pizza and two drinks). Still good food but I don't think we'll be back. This might read like a harsh review but I have to consider the expectations we were lead to have (only certified authentic place on the island, price levels etc.); therefore only 2 stars out of 5.
Terrible service my manager. Overcharged and brought wrong order....I get mistakes happen but the manager treated us like we were an inconvenience. Told prior during reservations that our event was for a birthday and wanted a dessert like a piece of xake to be brought and then again before dinner ended. But of course they forgot. When I told them they just responded with '''' you have to pay for that'. Of course I'm going to pay. I never asked for free food. And then in the end they literally brought a small little cookie...was so embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and dont bring a loved one here for there birthday.
Excellent food and super friendly staff!
Zmbri's is one of the best stylish restaurants in Victoria, it includes chef's chest or arm pit hair, Free Of Charge. One of the worst places in town, eat at Zmbri's if you enjoy someone's hair in your food. Well Zmbri's is not, repeat again repeat what it used to be in their previous location. That's a friendly advice ...
I ordered a meat lasagna, with no meat. The taste deserves a 5 star review, and if it was advertised as a pasta and cheese lasagna, it would get that. But instead, they have a smug "that's just how we make it" attitude, like I should've known better.
Due to your incredibly rude responses to any negative reviews, I've given you 1 star. I've only been here once and it was very unimpressive. Not that I'd go back ANYWAYS, but the pretentious replies to any feedback that is less than stellar ensures I'll tell others to avoid you as well. Oh, and Jayme, for a manager you sure know how to drive business away. Try not to take critique as personal jabs next time. Edit: since I can't directly reply to your question. Because Jayme says it's her responding in many of the rude comments. I think it's pretty obvious why I'd mention her, no? May I ask why you respond to rudely to any critique? Do you think that's how to retain customers or get new ones? Kind of weird that you'd remove your response now. Just admit when you're wrong, would go a long way
Beautiful decor. The staff were so lovely and friendly. Pasta is delicious. Highly recommend checking it out
Food is excellent and quite upscale. Not much for veggies though
BEAUTIFUL meal last night. The pasta was perfectly cooked and rich in flavor without being too heavy. The beef tenderloin was melt in your mouth perfect. And the polenta! I've never been a fan but I am now. Really yummy antipasto to start (try the candied fennel, YUM) and a lovely red wine accompaniment. All that and attentive, kind, friendly service to boot. Thank you!
Zambris is always excellent. We love our special dates out here for a cocktail, pasta, wine and delicious sides. The team is delightful there. Front of house is friendly and knowledgeable. I love the food. I've enjoyed the ever-changing salads and seafood starters. The gorgonzola pea pasta is delicious. I adore the fennel and sausage pizza too! Eat all the things!
For authentic doc Italian food, there is no better place!
The food is delicious! The atmosphere is great! Good place for either dining alone or for a romantic night-
Incredible date spot. Have been several times and each time I was thoroughly impressed with everything from the service to the food and wine. Their care and attention to detail and the customers experience is apparent; front and back of house. I can't wait till our next meal here.
Amazing food, atmosphere, location. Tremendous service.
Classy ambience, central downtown location
Simply the best food and service. Their passion keeps the experience lively and interesting after decades at the heart of the community.
Take out
A favorite for date night.
Perfect setting. Great service. Authentic Italian...I needed my Italian friend to help me figure out some ingredients. Delicious!
Good share dishes with various options to choose.
Love the atmosphere, and the chef's are quick while plating beautifully
Very pleasant atmosphere. Excellent good
First time we have been here since they moved (yes, it has been awhile). Spectacular setting, we were seated in the Atrium, like being outdoors in the summer. Excellent servers and food. Had a great sangoviese wine that paired beautifully with our pizza.
This is great. Had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is probably as romantic as it can get. The service is impeccable. A must visit while in Victoria.
I was reticent posting this but I went for my birthday dinner persuaded by the glowing reviews. No seafood pasta despite seeing pictures lending to the idea there was. The food we had was so average but I have to qualify that we had the sample taster package at $75 per person and the entire table had to have the same ...so thats 4 x $75!However the lack lustre food experience was just a further slap in the face. There were other issues which was not addressed well by the manager which is too serious to be brought up here. I was so looking forward to this birthday experience but feel I have let my family down by suggesting this place. ????
The food was the same quality as supermarket pasta with store bought sauce. The drinks were good and the bread was fantastic, but overall I wouldn’t go back. Not as high quality as you would expect based on the atmosphere.
Amazing; food, service everything was amazing!!! Highly recommend
Incredible atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, amazing food and drinks. I would highly recommend for and enjoyable evening.
The service was a little slow and we weren't told of the menu restrictions until we ordered, but the food itself was good.
Service
Very vibrant restaurant staffed with warm and welcoming people. The menu hosts a great selection of delicious food accompanied by an amazing selection of wine.
Excellent food, exceptional service from the time we walked in the door. We can't wait to come back!
Wonderful food. Great service. Attention to detail. Very friendly.
Amazing food and amazing service! Our server went out of his way and made the night amazing. Wish I could remember his name to give him a special shout out.
Still Nice place friendly staff, food is worse after 3rd visit in the last 12 months. It is really not the best most authentic Italian. Smallest unbalanced salumi antipasti, strange driest crispy pork(refried?) And mushy sirloin(too much sous vide time) really not a go back to place.
"Italian" restaurant at the heart of Victoria. Overall, this restaurant is ok, if only the prices were lower, it would have justified the non italian approach. The starters were nice, including the pizza, fuccacia and the eggplant rolls which were really divine (so far, so good). The problem started with the mains, where 3 of the 3 pasta dishes served to the table (the restaurant offers mostly pasta and pizza dishes), were overcooked. When the manager was asked if the pastas are dry or home made, she answered that it is from a box. She did apologize for the preparation and mentioned that "this is the way our pastas are being cooked" and offered a replacement. Needless to say that the replacement was the same. She did compensate us for that, but to me on an italian restaurant in this price level and menu, pastas can't be served like this, especially given the opportunity to re-do it. Deserts were also quite good, so if you go there, stick with the starters, pizzas and deserts.
Great service, best food I've had in Victoria. Crispy pork is amazing!
Service was not good, they didn't like us. We ordered pizza and the waiter made weird comments. Food was good, took forever. Why did the cake not have flour? I fear for my stomach. Pasta with pieces don't have that much pasta. Why were there jalapeños in my pasta? Restaurant looked very cool. Slow service but it was a busy night. I didn't think the cheese plate was going to be only that cheese. We didn't even sit inside the restaurant. We sat in this mall beside it. I felt very excluded from the restaurant, felt social distanced, expensive Would go again if someone else was paying. I would not wait that long, please create a delivery service. Beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous bar. Service was fantastic.
Food was great
Authentic Italian with flare in the heart of Victoria. The pork shoulder was amazing!
Zambri's has taken the time to really dial in their menu and service over the years. Their current location sparkles with beautiful light from chandeliers and huge windows. My lunch was simple and well executed. Pasta was full of flavour, obviously made to order, and piping hot. Can't ask for anything more on a snowy winter afternoon.
(Translated) Very tasty pizza! The Italian pizza comes quite close. We had a Hawaiian and a Funghi pizza. For dinner, these each cost 18 CAD / ~ 12 euros (for Canadian standards ok). The funghi has a béchamel sauce and truffle oil - very tasty. The Hawaii Pizza was very good too. The restaurant makes a good impression, you are very nice. The waiters were very attentive (there were a lot of waiters at the pottery) and repeatedly refilled our water glasses. If you fancy good pizza in Victoria, you should eat here. Clear recommendation. (Original) Sehr leckere Pizza! Klare Weiterempfehlung.
Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Great service.
Nice waitress would go again
Good food
Zambri’s is a gem. We were thrilled by our experience here. We have been spoiled by wonderful Italian restaurants in Toronto. Zambri’s totally delivered and was outstanding. Our server recommended a fantastic wine and pastas. The desserts were amazing and the ambiance perfect, not too loud yet every table was occupied. This restaurant deserves a much higher overall rating!
Food was great as always. Extra thanks for the birthday dessert and candle for my daughter. Only criticism; asked for the bartender to make me a mock tail follow their choice, they make me a Shirley Temple.
If you've been to Italy, know what authentic Italian food is, or are a foodie, you are likely to love this establishment. Fresh and seasonal ingredients, expertly prepared. Have been happily eating here for many years (since not long after they first opened) on a regular basis. My husband and I eat here as often as once or twice a week (for brunch, lunch and/or dinner) and there are a lot of regulars who we see doing the same. Excellent & consistent quality, appealing ambiance, great staff, excellent wine list and well-constructed cocktails. If your idea of great Italian food is places like the Spaghetti Factory, then keep going there & I'm not sure this is the place for you. No shade on SF - but it caters to a different customer. The portions at Zambris are a good size and you are getting excellent quality relative to the value of the ingredients and caliber of cooking, but this is not a restaurant about industrial food & big, cheap portions with pre-made sauces. I think a few reviews who aren't fans of this place don't understand the difference between what other more North Amercian style Italian eateries are about, versus authentic Italian food. To each their own! Eat what you love. That's what is wonderful about choices.
Was just there for brunch with 4 other people. Three of us had the same meal so it was easy to compare. When the food arrived the amounts varied so much between my plate and the others. One of our group had way more food than myself and the other person but even the other person had more than me. As a consequence I left the table hungry and the lady with all the food got a doggy bag. Too bad there was not more attention paid to how much was served as it has changed by desire to go back again.
Good choices.....they allow sharing dishes!
Visited Zambris for the first time last night and we were both happy with our meals. The dishes were simple, but in the best possible way. Also pricing of the dishes was very reasonable, around 20$ per pasta/pizza. Service was a bit slow and disorganized but the staff was very pleasant. Only thing was I felt the tables to be a little close but that could have just been me.
A good place to get lunch. They had a few specials but I opted to get a great italian wine from their extensive list of italian wines. Probably more than any on the island. The pizzas are the traditional Neapolitan style and have that nice slightly burnt crust! I might recommend this place!
don't let the shopping center location fool you -- inside is great food!
Wow! So good! $$$
Went for dine around and wasn't overly thrilled with my meal but willing to give it a second chance. Nice atmosphere and good wine!
Very Good food! Noisy due to hard surfaces and curved glass windows.
no words for the funghi pizza and aglio e olio. Best food i've eaten in decades...
Taste, atmosphere and service all good. Just one thing, they doesn't have seafood menu... I was sad. Oh and if hawaian pizza has more pineapple, should be wonderful :)
Beautiful, home cooked food. Lovely selection of wine. Great service and an incredible atmosphere in the courtyard. Thank you for such a memorable dining experience.
Service good, not thrilled with the pork dish but appies were good
Excellent service Very good food Especially the broccoli apertiser
Will return to Zambri’s again! Just recently enjoyed an amazing meal there even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were kindly accommodated. We enjoyed impeccably made dirty martinis made with local wayward unruly gin by the amazing bar manager Geet. Hopefully I’ve spelled this right! My apologies if I haven’t! Geet was very engaging and attentive and will draw me back based on his martini making ability alone! We enjoyed 2 delicious starters. The crispy broccoli and the sautéed greens. Both I would order again. As it was our anniversary, we were leisurely enjoying the evening and in no hurry for our entrees. As the evening progressed we noticed it was a while since we finished our starters and thought maybe we should inquire. We were informed that unfortunately there was an error in the kitchen and our entrees were late. Pretty late. But the staff were amazing and popped us some delicious olives and focaccia to ease our pain lol which like I said we were totally chilling enjoying the ambiance. Needless to say when the entrees came, they were unbelievable and as an apology from the staff we were graciously comped our starters and a lovely after dinner drink made by Geet. An amazing end to an amazing evening! We will be back! Thank you!
Exceptional service!

Great food, great service, not crowded and it is not as expensive as I thought it would be. Their cuisine is flavorful with simple, quality ingredients. Thank you guys.
