Super fun spot to spend some time. Honestly I have taken lots of "non gamers" here only to have them fall in love with arcade game from the ages. Staff are super nice and helpful if any issues come up. Pinball machine are ohhh so sweet and very well maintained. Not sure if it is fully accessible tho which really sucks...

Very hot down there. Reasonably priced though for the pinball! Not checking for vaccination status which I guess is because they aren't a license eatery, so the small space was a bit much for me personally. I think anyone who enjoys arcade games will love this place though.

Due to COVID we had to book the place for our bubble for an hour, but even at $120/hr it's worth it. No having to pay to play, or waiting for your favourite machine! All the games were in good repair and the staff person was super friendly. Lots of games to choose from, especially pinball. Already planning our next visit!

This is the islands only proper arcade, it has all the classics, games range from 50¢ to 1$ (pinball), which is quite reasonable. They also keep expanding and adding games. Plus, they display high scores for the more popular screens on a public leaderboard, which is coool ????

Great little spot with some seriously great games, and design! Though the sweet wife of the owner wasn’t even working I accidentally bothered her for a tea, but she was still super helpful! The owner has a serious passion for the work as well. He was so patient with my friends, and answered all our questions about the place. I recommend this place to everybody. Go play Gauntlet Legends!! My friends, and I will definitely be back.

I have been waiting such a long time for a place like Quazars. The machines are reasonably priced with one dollar pinball, 50 cent video games. They have some rare gems that cost 1.50. The machines are in impeccable condition, the selection is wide and varied, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is perfect. You are missing out if you don’t go at least once.

A lot less dark, dingy, and sticky than I remember arcades being when I was younger. Great selection of pinball machines, but they could use a better selection of standup arcades. While they’re missing some obvious classics (Street Fighter, Golden Axe, Galaga, Pac-Man, Simpsons, just to name a few), they do have a few I hadn’t played before, which was a pleasant surprise. Can’t wait to go again.

If you need a good old arcade fix this place is great. Video games from the 80's Galaga, Ms. Packman and pinball machines from the 80's and 90's in perfect working condition. Well worth the visit.

Loved this place. Unfortunately we got there about 45 minutes before closing, which wasn't long enough. I wanted more. It was a bit too warm in there, but most places in the area don't seem to have AC, so you just deal with it.

Didn't like that there wasn't a heads up that it was closed, unless you are planning on renting the place out for a couple of hours with a certain sized group of people. We just moved here, it's my son's birthday and we don't really know that many people let alone people with kids. I would be willing to rent the place for a couple of hours for my family of four, perhaps talk some friends and coworkers next time too. When I do get in I will change my review accordingly, I am dying to get my game on...

Wonderful experience for the family who loves video games! Token based retro video games from the early days of the true arcade generation. Great selection, with updated leaderboards showing off your skills. Nice section of pinball machines that are well maintained. Hats off to Quazar’s Arcade for having ample foot stools for the smaller kids who need to see just where the hell Q*Bert is hopping! The only thing lacking are old school riding units, but space is limited. The few they do have I consider more modern such as Crazy Taxi and Star Wars. Get out there and support these folks as finding retro arcade machines in this type of setting are slowly disappearing. Sure one can emulate the game, but it’s the hands on feel that the little one’s are missing. My son wears his Quazar’s shirt with pride that he finally got to level 3 in Frogger. Myself, I beam with joy knowing he experienced something special by visiting a real arcade in 2021!

An absolute blast from the past. 20 Dollars got me 40 Tokens. 1 token is typically a single credit in an arcade machine, with pinball machines taking 2 tokens. Has a wide selection of cafe beverages and is liquor licensed if memory serves. Notable machines for me: Ultimate MK3 Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Captain America and the Avengers X-Men the Arcade game 4-player cabinet. but the selection is much wider and varied.

This is one of the best family fun spots in Victoria! A huge selection of vintage OG arcade games along with an amazing (rotating) selection of Pinball! It's a fun, clean environment with the friendliest staff... Jules and Ewan are always there greeting people by name. If you haven't been, do yourself a favour and take a time machine back to your childhood.... you won't be disappointed ;)

Cool atmosphere, mainly adults which is nice, awesome selection of pinball and various arcade machines. Great that they have a snack and drink bar. But my wife and I were hesitant to buy any snacks or drinks after how much the pinballs and arcades cost. You need to buy tokens, no problem, except they're $10 for 20 tokens for example, and each machine takes 2. So it's a buck a play. I think the 20 tokens lasted my wife and I about 15 minutes at most. I can see spending over $100 in an hour or so.

Quazar's has a mix of 20 or so new and classic pinball machines approx 20 stand up video game machines. It is $.50 a token the pin balls are 2-3 tokens and the Arcades are 1-3 tokens, Also gets 5 stars because they have a Coffee Bar. People with mobility issues might have trouble with the stairs as this is in a basement in Trounce Alley.

Fantastic arcade. Lots of older video games, and one side filled with pinball machines. The workers were friendly and helpful. During the day when we visited it wasn't too busy at all. Great place to take the kids to kill some time while waiting on a ferry.

Fantastic. Every pinball machine is in great condition and clearly well cared for. The entire place is super clean. The lighting is spot on as well; there's some natural light from the main entrance, and enough glow lighting around the machines that it really shows off the games without feeling gloomy. The staff were helpful and responsive, immediately offered to turn down one of the machines when I mentioned it was too loud. Reasonable prices across the board. It's also worth mentioning that they don't rig the machines; many arcades will over-tilt the pinball machines to drain your ball more often. None of that here, they all play well. And no weird quirks where a ramp is crooked and dumps the ball or anything like that. Clearly a business that cares and I look forward to making this a monthly tradition. Only thing is I wish there were some coat hooks on the walls near a few of the machines. I wasn't sure where to set my coat while I played, and I didn't want to leave it out of eyeshot on the tables further in.

This place initially had me very excited when we went in. They had classics like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Afterburner... every machine we tried was either broken or wouldn't accept their custom tokens. MK3's joysticks wouldn't respond to upward movement half the time. Half the place is full of pinball machines, but the lighting is so poor you can't even see what the hell is happening. And for some reason they cost two to three times more to play than the non-pinball machines. Overall, great idea but terrible execution. Maybe if they actually maintained their machines it would be better.

Really neat arcade with mostly pinball machines. Most pinball machines cost two tokens ($1) per play. The atmosphere is really cool with the coloured lighting. When I went on Saturday night, it was almost all young adults, and almost every machine had a person at it. There's probably about 25 pinball machines and 20 other games.

My favorite place in all Victoria! What an amazing venue full of (mostly) 80s arcade games, some 90s, and the one fake retro arcade from Wreck it Ralph movie! They also have a vast selection of pinball machines. The workers there are super nice, and the atmosphere fully reminds you to the good old days. Token prices are fair.

Great little arcade with reasonable cost for tokens (50 cents each). Most of the older games are one token, which is a fair cost. Pinball machines were two tokens. Honestly, forgot how bad I was at some of these games but many of the classics like Ms.Pacman, centipede, and Dragon's Lair are present and accounted for. Place is a bit dark, but certainly fits the location. Recommend taking your arrogant friends to remind them they aren't as great as they thought they were. Also recommend to bring back some nostalgia.

We rented the Gamma Room for my son's 4th birthday and it was amazing. The perfect space for little ones as it's completely separate from the main arcade and has a great variety of games for the kids to enjoy (and their parents too). The games are all on free play so you don't have to worry about purchasing tokens and you have access to a washroom nearby. Staff (Lucius and Jules) checked in multiple times during the afternoon and were really friendly. 10/10 will be back!

We had my son's 13th bday here and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. We rented out the place before it opened to the public, and it was a super fun space for the kids to roam, game and have fun. The vintage games are all meticulously restored and it was so fun seeing all the classics like Donkey Kong, Frogger etc. The staff is so friendly, the place is super clean... I couldn't recommend it more. They play great 80's music and I even had fun playing Ms PacMan - it brings you back to your childhood, too!

I loved the variety of arcade and pinball machines. Most of the games are very vintage and brought back a ton of memories. At $0.50 per game, it isn't cheap, but I can see why that fee is necessary in such a prime location and for the upkeep and purchasing of these great machines.

This is a great little blast from the past arcade. A good selection of old video games with a few newer ones plugged in there. On the other side you have a nice selection of new and old ponball machines to play. Now don't worry, those old machines will still eat your tokens from time to time, but the friendly staff will give you a hand and back to gaming you will go. If you haven't played a coin operated machines in years then this is the place to go, and if your kids have no idea what your getting excited about, bring them along!

The pinball is where it is at....the old machines still cost a quarter to play and with the growing inflation and lack of growing income these old machines are a bit pricy to play but it's the nostalgia of it. I just got back from taking the family out to Quazar's Arcade and I was very impressed with how they captured the feeling of the arcades from back when I was a kid. It was a great experience sharing the games I grew up playing with my 8 year old daughter. The wife and I were very excited to see the selection of pinball tables they had. All in all, the whole family had a great time. Totally worth it. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the machines in the arcade. We will be visiting again in the near future .

This place is amazing! It brought me right back to my misspent youth pumping quarters into Street Fighter and pinball machines. Most games cost only $0.50 to play, which is not too bad given that they were a quarter in the 80's and 90's. The owner was really cool as well. My son was concerned for a homeless man and his dog on the street outside in the hot sun. He asked the owner if he could buy some water for the dog, and the owner just gave him a bottle. So a bottle of water, and a can of iced tea (that we already had) later, left a man and his dog refreshed and smiling.

I highly recommend Quazar's Arcade! We rented the arcade for 2 hours for our son's 7th birthday and it was amazing. Due to COVID, they only rent out the space right now for 20 or fewer people. We felt that they kept the whole place sanitized and we felt quite safe. Jules was a pleasure to work with and made us all feel comfortable while there. It was fun to see old games like Q-Bert and Tetris and some newer games like Terminator. There's a large selection of pinball machines and so much selection, there's something for everyone! Thank you very much for an amazing and memorable 7th birthday for our son!

HOLY NOSTALGIA! This was one of those arcade experiences that reminded me of my childhood. Descending the stairs into Quazar's is like going to the past. The machines are well maintained and feature a variety of great games. I am a big fan of the vast selection of pinball machines. The staff is friendly and helpful. I like that the machines are token operated. Makes for an efficient means of transacting and using the machines.

If this place was in a movie I'd laugh at it for being unrealistic. Video arcades don't exist anymore, do they? Definitely not brand new ones, full of excited people and tons of machines in great shape. For whatever reason--maybe it's some eccentric millionaire's passion project, maybe they found a time portal to 1992--this place DOES exist, and it's really, really cool. The atmosphere is somewhere between a video arcade at the height of arcade mania and a video arcade as depicted on a Netflix show about teenagers. It's dark, with a retro-future vibe provided by washes of coloured lighting and a pumping synthwave soundtrack interspersed with the sounds of cabinets from the '70s through '90s. A good chunk of the floorspace is given over to a large collection of pinball machines, and there's a bar where you can get pop and coffee. Machines are in great condition (not even for their age--there would be far more broken cabinets at a well-run arcade when these things were new) and prices are reasonable.

I went on opening night, and then again on the next day. Since this place has opened my friends and I have been making an effort to go at least once a week and have been. Even when I've brought people along who aren't into necessarily into pinball or classic arcades, we have always left with huge grins on our faces. The selection often changes which keeps each visit exciting and you can easily spend more than an hour here on less than $10 if you pace yourself right. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Victoria desperately needed a place like this and I intend on being a regular for a long time to come.

Wonderful atmosphere, great games and very welcome addition to the downtown core! Prices for tokens were quite reasonable and the selection of games was great. Would love to see more added! Have to dock stars for accessibility to the venue. There’s a steep set of stairs to get down, making it difficult for anyone with a cane or crutches, and impossible in a wheelchair. Some of the machines are pretty tall as well. Maybe they could add a couple of step stools to borrow for the kiddos to have a better view. Overall it’s a great experience and brings something much needed to this town. Would love to see some accessibility improvements (I understand it’s a difficult space to work with, don’t get me wrong) but I am nevertheless excited to return and improve my pinball skills!

What an incredible experience. It is a very clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful. They have upwards of 15 pinball machines of various themes, including Rock n Roll, films and pop culture. On top of that they have a large collection of amazing traditional arcade games, Pacman and Tetris included. what a fun way to burn $50 and a couple hours. I highly recommend it.

Concept is really cool but many of the machines don't seem to be in playable condition. The first time I got a coin eaten, I asked for assistance to get replaced but the next 6 times over various machines just didn't seem worth the trouble. The Tetris 2P side rotate buttons didn't work most of the time. Their Street Fighter II Championship Edition isn't authentic. It's a bootleg rainbow edition, which is unfortunate as it was one of the main reasons for my visit (Their website still advertises championship edition). It's really unfortunate as I really wanted to like this place. Looking forward to seeing things get better so I can support them more. Maybe the next visit in a few months will change my mind. Some machines ate some tokens. Although there was one guy who works there that seems distrusting when we bring up that tokens behave been eaten, everybody else has had no issue giving back the lost tokens. Altogether a pretty fun experience taking my neices there and giving them a taste of the old arcade atmosphere. For the owners/operators... please stick with the old 80s music instead of top 40 or rave-ish music, it just makes it seem more authentic.

Hidden Arcade that is worth a visit! They have a great choice of old and new pinballs and various retro arcade games! We will definitely come back to play pinball. :) Staff is very friendly as well. It could get warm down there on hot days. Mask is required but vaccination proof was not checked.

Owner/ employees very rude. Do not ask questions or they will be very disrespectful to you, took my kids there and will never return. My kid asked how high scores were tracked and if you had to register with him or did the machines track it, (she's doesnt know she's never been to an arcade) his response was he watched her play and she didn't look like she'd have any high scores.. he then had sassy remark about the pandemic: "Theres this thing, its called a pandemic..." Not a very friendly way to tell a teenager that they don't have a certain game. Very rude. Its funny, he seemed to know all about the pandemic yet while I was there not one machine was wiped down. Went to use some sanitizer but that was empty too. The man was very eager to take my money though!

Finally open! And totally worth the wait. A load of fantastic games - a great selection of pinball and arcade classics. My kids had a chance to play something that wasn’t on a stinkin’ tablet! Really great place to have fun! Alone or with friends and family. So many different games, different difficulties and different prices. If you're ever bored in Victoria, this is definitely a place you want to check out.

Hidden away hole in the ground! Great for nostalgia and cool pinball machines. An excellent way to waste an unexpected amount of time and make you late for everything else.

I can't say enough good things. The staff were amazing. The games were perfect. We hired the party room out for a birthday all the kids had so much fun. We were given a Bluetooth speaker for music. Covid rules are in place. The staff kept a check on us. The tokens are a decent price for the machines in the main hall the party price included free play on all the machines. Brilliant.
