My husband hired Open Water Catering for my 40th birthday party and they were amazing! They came up with a great menu of tiny, flavourful dishes and appies that were easy to carry around but way more exciting than anything we were expecting. The best part was they preopred it all in my kitchen and cleaned up afterwards - so worth it! Highly recommend!

I can not thank Ryan and Bridget and their awesome crew enough for catering my wedding!! Open Water Catering had been recommended to me and they did not disappoint. Ryan and Bridget were professional and very easy to talk to during the planning stage. And the wedding, well it was wonderful and huge part of this was because of Open Water Catering. The food was delicious and the service perfect! All of our guests were very impressed! They did such a great job...I think it was the nicest wedding I have ever been to! I highly recommend Open Water Catering! I would book them again in a heartbeat!!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Ryan and team since 2015 now and wouldn’t think about going anywhere else. From a gala for over 400 people to multiple holiday parties for my stores with over 50 people, each time the food is always AMAZING. I never have a clear idea of what I’m looking for so have relied on Ryan’s expertise and questions to help me pinpoint the exact masterpiece. Every time, it ends up better than I thought as my team ensures we request him again. The bonus here for me, and why I continue to support this business, is because of seeing the passion behind the dream and how it has evolved over time. Hi Ryan. I just want to thank you again for the incredible job you and your crew did for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. Your food, right from the rehearsal dinner on Friday night to the wedding day appies and dinner was absolutely unbelievable. And kudos to all the bar crew as well who were totally on top of everything. You and your crew were amazing! I can't even begin to tell you how many people commented on the quality, presentation and taste of everything. My sister-in-law commented that she felt like she was at a Hollywood party as you and your servers passed through everyone with trays of canapés lol. It was absolutely beautiful throughout the entire event. I can't thank you enough.

We had Ryan and his wife prepare the food for our wedding with 200 guests this weekend and I must say, if we could give them 10 stars we would! Ryan was such a pleasure to communicate with leading up to the big day, he is a true professional. From the first day speaking with you, Ryan, I can't thank you and your crew enough for all the help and services you provided, your servers and bar staff have a beautiful energy. And the food... WOW!! It doesn't get any better; the cedar wrapped salmon had people in awe! It's been 3 days and I'm still receiving compliments for you about how much people enjoyed that meal. When it comes to catering around Southern Vancouver Island, Open Water is THE company to go with!

What can I say about perfection. The cedar wrapped salmon. Prime rib. Lobster. Steaks. With all the fixes of course have been TripleAAA. Always politely professionally awesomely served with a smile. Uh oh spaghetti throw. I recently had the unpleasant experience of being served by Ryan, the owner of Open Water Catering. I observed him drop spaghetti on the floor and pick it up with his gloved hand and toss it onto the counter. He continued to grab food items with the same dirty glove. Ryan was temperamental towards me when I asked him for the veggie spaghetti option. He angrily grabbed my plate from my hand and had a fit. I declined his food & reported his actions to the food safety board.

Fresh bite size servings with wide a variety mouth watering options. Staff was always ready to help, extremely clean and proffesional.
