Ordered a burrito and 2 tacos for pickup. Had to wait 15 minutes past the generous lead time I provided. Handed me a plastic bag with the salsa all over the bottom. After repackaging order, the meal was horrible... Tacos were not only so tiny, but squished together contents unrecognizable and tasted terrible. My burrito was a round mass of soft stuff?? Supposedly chorizo?? Only bright spot was the chips. Save your hard earned ???? and pass on this place.

The Chicken tinga I believe? Tasted of shredded chicken in tomato paste, it was very underwhelming. I don't recall which other meats I got as part of my 5 taco combo but they are the reason this doesn't get 2 stars. I'll be passing on this Mexican joint for my next Mexican meal out.

I work here! I may be slightly biased, but this restaurant is so much cleaner than restaurants I've worked at in the past. It's a local business, with genuinely good food (we make almost everything from scratch) and lots of new covid protocols!

I live in the US and every time I come to Victoria BC eating here is a must. This was my first time on this new location, love the food, the place is very colorful and nice and the staff is super friendly. I would personally recommend pork chorizo in tacos/burritos or sope.

We started with salsa and chips, and I've never had such a runny sauce to dip my tortilla chips in; instead of triangles, the chips should have been spoon-shaped. Tasted good. Two of us ordered tacos, which were priced higher than on the web site. Mine were a variety of veggie, and my wife ordered meats. The tacos tasted great, but the orders were reversed with my sour cream on the side, and my wife's sour cream on the tacos... Oh well... Our friend ordered the Gordo, which he enjoyed immensely (except for the hair in it)... Was the meal tasty? Yes. Were there minor irritations? Yes. But we realize this is not fancy dining, and lowered our expectations accordingly.

The corn tacos are way too thick for my liking. Hence, the two star ranking as I won’t go back for tacos. Otherwise, food is simple, fresh and straightforward. The range of spices is fantastic. The filling are all great - they are what they are: fish, meat or vegetarian. Service is quick and friendly.

Almost always get a burrito in a bowl instead of a wrap and the chicken mole is sooooo tasty!! The staff is super nice and knowledgable about the menu and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Fast and Delicious. My wife and i like to sneak in here for a quick taste of Mexico - excellent service, decent prices, and amazing flavours. Can't decide which filling is best (toss up between the beef or the shrimp) - but you can't go wrong with any of them. Fresh and delicious, every time.

Tasty food and friendly staff! I loved the table cards that you flip over to let them know you've used the table and they should sanitize it. For take out, the Family Pack makes dinner a fun event at home. Very clean feeling overall.

Pretty authentic, super good eats. If you love super spicy food, you will not find their hottest salsa hot enough, but at least they have lots of flavour. The mole is really good, definitely try it!

I visited the restaurant again. One month later. I was looking for a second WOW but I was disappointed. Service was below par. The food was salty, not enough meat, the bread tasted raw and very cold in some parts of the burrito. Perhaps it was an odd day, I may give them another try. Bit no for a bit. First review The best burrito I had for a long time. The seasoning adequate. The hot sauce done right. Both, my wife and love to eat burritos and the experience at La Taquisa was amazing. At first, I hesitated going in but thanks to my wife I did. The women working at La Taquisa were very helpful and courteous. Thanks for the details you showed today. I am coming back to confirm it.

I went to La Taquisa for lunch this past weekend and I was very happy with my experience. I was greeted by Thalia who took my order, she was very friendly and made my overall experience even better. The food tasted amazing, especially for the price, and it was a very welcoming environment. I will definitely come back again sometime soon.

Burritos are a good size but underwhelming and cold. Have tried the veggie (rajas) burrito 3 or 4 times and everytime it tastes like bad fish, like they cook their veggie mix on the same grill or pan as thier fish. This has happened at thier other locations too, so beware if you are vegetarian.

2 stars for friendly staff, bright, clean, fast cafeteria style service. The food however was plain to bad. We chose to try this restaurant because of their claim to have authentic Mexican taste but were disappointed. Tortilla soup tasted like the base was tomato soup from a can.Tacos were standard, nothing special. Chips and salsa were generously portioned but again standard. We won't be back.

Bad burrito experience, literarily a pile of mush. No rice, just soggy wet lettuce surrounded by sauce. Over $11 dollars..fortunately they returned my money. Would not advise this place for a burrito.

No flavour in any of the fish shrimp beef or chicken taco, the soft taco shells were mush and bland, do not recommend the hot sauce the bean taco was okay. No limes for tacos either. Tool a while for just an order as well. Wont be back.

Cold burrito that was dripping wet and fell apart immediately. I put the insides in a bowl and threw out the wet rubbery tortilla, but the only thing inside was cold chicken and soggy lettuce. Worst burrito I've ever had.

I have to admit that I have an addiction to this place. I cant seem to walk by without stopping in for a chicken mole taco. The problem is I walk by almost daily on my way to the grocery store. 100% I recommend this place.

Friendly, fast service however I felt the variety of chicken, fish, bean and cauliflower tacos I ordered tasted mostly the same (served with a tiny dry unusable lime slice). I was also disappointed that they serve bland store bought guacamole. Tortilla chips were tasty. IMO ok value for price.

Loved the one in Esquimalt and super glad that one opened up out on the West Shore closer to home. Has good options for vegans too. Clean seating area, nice location in the sun, tasty food.

Everything is prepared from scratch and the flavors are authentic. I highly recommend the beef tacos, chicken tinga, mole con pollo and the tacos baja. I lost count of how many times I returned to this restaurant. WELL ACHIEVED GUYS !!! (Original) Auténticos tacos hechos con tortilla de maíz hecha al momento. Como mexicano, es difícil encontrar buenos tacos en el extranjero, pero la taquisa los tiene. Todo lo preparan desde cero y los sabores son auténticos. Recomiendo mucho los tacos de res, tinga de pollo, mole con pollo y los tacos baja. Perdí la cuenta de cuantas veces regresé a este restaurante. BIEN LOGRADO CHICOS !!!

This place is awesome. Authentic mexican, lots of choices, portions are good size and prices are reasonable. We've eaten in and done take out and quality and size of the food orders is the same. Our only critique is that when they sauce things like the tacos for you there always seems to be a bit to much so definately order it on the side so your yummy toppings arent swimming in salsa Verde ????

Overall I think La Taquisa is a good place to get a quick meal. Value is good for the quantity and freshness of food. Unfortunately on two different occasions my burrito was pretty cold. Their tortilla soup was also very salty. But I like their menu options and their tacos and meat options are good.

I come to Langford yearly for work. Found this place last year and it was amazing! Not sure what changed; but it was horrible. We ordered four different types of tacos, they were SO greasy that bottom of box was full of grease . Ordered tacos and four sides, got home to realize all sides were not in bag! Tacos were sloppy; greasy and order was incomplete! I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.

Wow I ordered way too much food the first time I went here. The regular burrito was humungous. Next time I'll stick to the fish tacos which were excellent. We had a lot of leftovers to take home :)

I've eaten here three times and the third time wasn't filling at all. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with extra for sour cream and guacamole. And a drink. $15. The two times before were filling. Not even close to filling this time. If you want to gamble with still being hungry after paying $15 for a burrito and drink, go right ahead. Honestly don't recommend this place for this reason.

Food had a good flavour namely the tacos. But they only give you one tortilla so they fell apart almost immediately. The new Young staff that they hired could be a lot better. They could do a better job treating their customers with a little more courtesy and make them feel like they appreciate them being there. I hope the owners see this review and add a second taco shell and maybe pep talk and/or increase the pay of their staff if that's what has the lack luster. I've been eating here for ages and it's usually been better.
