I don't usually write reviews online but this place totally blew me away! I had been in there once before but I just went in there for the second time today and the customer service was beyond expectations! The cashier was extremely friendly and without asking, went out of her way to give me a printed out menu so I didn't have to read off of the chalkboard too long. In addition to that, when I was walking out I waved and one of the chefs replied with "Thanks Harmonie" as he had remembered my name from when I ordered. This made the experience so personal. The food is really great too and the Baja Fish Style taco was my absolute favourite. Will definitely be back soon.

We go here likely more than anywhere else in the city. My kid loves it here in a way no other place can distract her. Tacos she demands with pico de gaio and guacamole. She likes all of it. I cycle through phases between tacos and burritos as you can't go wrong. I like the spicier salsa. They do a great veggie taco too. Friends tell me they enjoy the soup but I can't get past tacos and burritos...

I used to go here regularly with my partner and would always recommend it to friends as it used to be AMAZING! There has been some pretty drastic changes in the portion sizes and the prices have not changed to reflect that. The flavor is great but now the burritos are easily half the size they used to be. We would order the biggest burritos (El Gordo) and would easily have been stuffed by the end. Now they are skimpy and you are still hungry after! We will not be returning as this size difference has been consistent for the last few times and when confronting the staff they said that is the proper size. Tacofino is hands down better value and will be our new go to taco/ burrito place.

Great burritos and tacos with high quality meats/ingredients and salsas. The owners are good people and actually care about the quality and service you get. I've found that this location is usually less crowded than the downtown Victoria location except for during lunch time, which gets busy. Also, if anything is special ordered, watch them make your burrito; I've had about half a dozen incorrect orders over the last few years but they are always gracious and quickly fix any mistakes.

Had 5 tacos and a jarrito for around $15. Price is reasonable. Had pork, chicken, beef, fish, and ceviche with medium piquante spice. It all tasted pretty good. Service is a little slow as they take their time preparing. Service was good. Overall it was better than I expected.

Visited this gem in Victoria and ordered the family meal. The chicken tinga was delicious! All the sides and salsas (which they make from scratch) were equally good and very authentic. The quesadilla however, not the greatest and the fish tacos could use some seasoning. We especially loved the medium red and salsa verde! During our 4 day visit, we frequented this place a few times since the kids loved it. La Taquisa is definitely a local favorite and the lineups can get pretty long…so keep that in mind when ordering, even for pickup. Also note that except for a small bistro table outside and a small indoor countertop/barstools - there is not much room to dine-in at this location. The only complaint I had was that their pricing for salsa was inconsistent: 4oz salsa = $2.25 but when you order a large salsa, it’s more expensive at 16oz = $12 ($3/4oz.) Weird they priced it this way, but the manager was kind enough to give us another 4oz for the discrepancy.

La Taquisa is a strong option in an increasingly crowded marketplace: fast-ish, decent mexican food (or, as I like to call it, a "burrito joint"). Personally, I particularly enjoy their prawn burrito, which is a nice change of pace from grilled chicken, and slow cooked pork and beef. This spot is particularly good for takeout, as seating is quite limited.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Do they not have real mexican food in Canada? Had I closed my eyes I would have thought my Carne burrito was oatmeal. It was runny, cold, and had NO flavor whatsoever. I can't believe we wasted $20 and 30 min of our lives here.

Service was nice and quick and people were very friendly, but unfortunately the food was far from good. Had the al pastor burrito and they had McDonald’s quality lettuce and overall tasted like grocery store frozen burritos. the tacos weren’t very flavourful, and the tortilla soup somehow managed to be the most enjoyable item while tasting just like tomato paste. Given the price and this experience, I don’t think we’ll be coming back and I suggest you save your money and find another place.

If you're going here be prepared to be indulged with authentic Mexican food. I would highly recommend if your feeling like tacos is to get the 5 tacos as it's a really good deal. My favorites are the chicken mole and the baja style shrimp. Get the chicken with red medium sauce and get the shrimp with the spicy verde Kicks it up a level you won't regret. The burritos are amazing as well but a little tip is I get the pico de gallo on the side as I find it tends to get a little messy in the burrito otherwise... but that's just my preference. I also recommend the tortilla soup or chips and salsa. Really everything here is delishes.

I've gotten the Brava Super Spicy burritos on several occasions. but the staff totally overdid the heat level tonight. Like, turned it up to 11 and then kept going. Much, much pain. Tomorrow is not going to be pleasant either. Totally worth it.

I had just gone and I have a seafood allergy so I mentioned it and since im eating there at my own risk I know if anything happens it’s on me. I did think that staff would change gloves considering someone had ordered shrimp before I did. I also had told the cashier no refried beans as it really hurts my stomach and I guess she missed it but it wasn’t offered to be remade or anything. So my food wasn’t particularly great in my opinion. I had eaten at the other location with no issues.

Went there on a lunch hour to pick up food for my kid (age 9). Ordered 5 tacos mild. However when I gave them to kid, they got horribly sick as they put some horrifically hot sauce on it! I can handle heat, but when I ask for it mild for my kid, please follow the request. the employees there didn't look like they cared to work there. Maybe its time for more training.

Good price delicious food. It offers vegan and veggie options. They have vegan chorizo and veggie talcos that are ao flavourful and delicious. I the price is so good that next time I go I'm ording 10.

I had the Beef al pastor burrito. It was pretty good, lots of meat and guacamole, and the veggies seemed really fresh. Unfortunately it was a bit bland for my tastes. Still, I'd come back and try some other items. Edit: Upon return here I ordered the same thing but "as hot as you can make it" for the spice level. That trim level gets you chopped fresh habanero (slaw?) that is absolutely to die for. It's still not exactly "hot" but it is really tasty, and not bland at all. I've upgraded my review to 4 stars.

I ate there for the first time this past Sunday, and was sick with food poisoning for the past 2 days. The burritos were the worst mushy mess i have ever ate, and they clearly do not cook there food properly. I will never eat there again.

Fast service, good food for anyone whether meat eater or vegan. I wish their vegan mole burrito wasn't so saucy or had some grain or solid beans instead - I usually end up with most of the delicious filling all over my hands!

We have been longtime La Taquisa fans but holy moly their new(ish) cauliflower tacos blow my mind! There's something on the menu for our whole fam, even as the kids have grown and move from quesadillas only to medium red salsa on top. Love that there's a location in Vic West!
