A nice big space in which to have a gathering. Loads of room for activities, or a lecture and tables of food at the back via caterers. Also within walking distance of downtown.

I went with friends in Victoria to the First Metropolitan United Church of Canada for a performance of the Vancouver Men’s Chorus. The interior is not loaded with gold and other precious items; it is rather simple. I liked it since it built a good atmosphere to meditate and pray.

Not only is this a beautiful Church, they also offer a variety of classes such as Tai Chi, Yoga, as an example and much more. Check this out: Senior's Summer Camp. Sing the oldies, play games, do some sightseeing or, as the poster says, stomp your cane. They have Movie nights and the location is very handy, right in downtown Victoria and the #6 bus will drop you off right in front.
