Fantastic food. Prompt, friendly, and efficient service. 5 star meals ready in 15min with a packed house. Double thick pork dish, and a chorizo steam bowl. Under $100 for 2 with 1 drink each. Definitely recommend.

Finn's has a big chain restaurant feel and the quality is mediocre. It's not great, but it's not bad either. I ordered the Atlantic Lobster Tail and it was a bit salty. I feel like the butter was salted and that they salted the lobster too. The clam chowder was comparable to a jazzed up canned soup variety. Pricing was a bit high for the quality. I'd go for the view and the happy hour wine.

Darn good; on the expensive side. Worth it for the food, location, and service. Food - seafood chowder ($12.75), seafood linguini ($29), lemon tart ($9.75) - high quality, delicious with nice presentation and good serving sizes. I'm not much for seafood but the chowder set me up for a wonderful plate of pasta with mussels, shrimp, and scallops. The lemon tart topped with meringue; a great ending to a good meal. An enjoyable dining experience. Space is casual and unpretentious, staff and service welcoming and convivial. Great location with views of Victoria's Inner Harbour. A extensive drinks menu including cocktails and alcohol-free options.

We were here with a large group and our service was awesome. Everyone's food was delicious, although prices were a little high. You definately want to switch up any fries for the parmesan truffle version! Portions varied based on what was ordered - my fish and chips was a good sized portion but a few gentlemen in our group were not full after a full meal of steak. Overall the taste was great though.

The service was great and the food is fantastic. But I can’t give any restaurant more than 3 stars if they don’t have a cork fee. I can understand if your a lunch place or a very casual dining experience, but if I am going to spend over 200.00 on a meal I expect to be able to bring my favorite wine to be able to share with my wife on our anniversary.

Very nice restaurant with beautiful view of the harbour. Staff members were friendly, they all greeted when we came in and thanked when we left. We had the early dinner courses and were delicious. My seafood linguini was a bit salty but I didn’t mind much as I was happy with the amount of seafood on it. Seafood chowder was also very good. Service was good at the beginning but got slow at the end. After finishing the main course, we had to wait for awhile until someone come over to take away the empty dishes and take order for dessert. We asked for boxes for left over food. The waitress brought one when we had 2 different dishes. We had to ask other server for another one. The dish we wanted to wrap up had dipping sauce and they didn’t bring a sauce container. It was just a small things but it made me feel the waitress wasn’t thoughtful at all. After dessert, it took a while for the waitress to bring the bill and then a bit more for the debit machine. I wanted to give 5 stars but I took one off because of the service at the end.

I took my girlfriend here for dinner. The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. We shared the prawn tacos to start which were delicious. For our entrees I had the roasted wild bc salmon which was excellent. My girlfriend had the ling cod on the most amazing prawn risotto. Will defintiely be back.

I visited the restaurant with my bf at our 1st night in Victoria. I expected it to be another fish and chips kind of place, but I was wrong. Our meals (seafood linguini and fish risotto) were delicious - well made with perfect seasoning and presentation. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the view is to die for. Highly recommend.

Waterfront patio to enjoy food and drinks. We walked through the indoor space to access the patio and it looked quite lovely. The bartender greeted as as the hostess walked us to our table. Service was good and quick. We enjoyed a bottle of Sandhills Pinot Gris, oysters and the crispy chicken sandwich, which all paired well with the wine. Tables were well spaced and the music playlist included The Hip and Smashing Pumpkins. They have happy hour from 4-5:30pm that includes oysters.

Stop by for an early dinner during our visit to Victoria. It was a great find and worth the walk from our hotel. We sat outside and enjoyed a great view from our table while also enjoying a delicious meal. The menu had a nice selection. Started with the ceasar salad and had the mussels as my entree. The mussels were prepared in a thai curry sauce which was very good. A little spice but not too much. Overall it was a great experience.

My husband & I decided to have a bite to eat in town Sunday June 20. We were walking around and passed Finn's where we had never eaten before. The 'patio seating' and 'happy hour' signs caught our attention so we decided to to see if there was a patio table. We were greeting warmly and professionally and had an amazing meal, beverages and service. Special thanks to Hannah & Hailey. We had always thought this was a 'tourist' destination and learned from Hailey that many locals thought the same thing. It is now a new local favorite that we plan to visit often this summer!

Food was great but the service was bad. When I asked if they had a changing table to change my baby's diaper I was initially told that I needed to walk to another location 3 minutes away. Once the greeter was told that there was indeed a changing table in the basement, it was very dirty. It's the worst feeling to change your baby somewhere that you must immediately wash their hands afterward. Unfortunately, the greeter left me in the basement and I had to find help to figure out how to get back upstairs (winding through the hallways, storage and kitchen areas, and doorways which were all marked for employees only). I was utterly shocked and my husband wanted to leave. Toward the end of our time there, our waiter let us know that his shift was over and asked if we could go ahead and pay the bill before we were finished so that he could leave. I have never been told that I needed to leave the establishment to change a diaper or ditched by my waiter before finishing my meal. I don't think good food makes up for the service that we experienced.

It's a great location with an awesome deck and view over the water but I find the prices high and the staff wasn't that friendly. We were there on a Friday night and it was dead, probably because of the high prices. Too bad as it would be a great place to go on a sunny day!

Could easily be added to my list of favourite places to eat in Victoria. We tried their recommendations - the pork chop, lobster, fish and chips, and the chowder, we are so glad that we did. I had the pork chop and it was amazing - it was thick, tender and juicy. Loved the gravy that came with it. Everyone else enjoyed their orders as well. I wish they've given us a bigger table though. There were four of us and it felt like they gave us a 2-person table. The dishes could barely fit on the table. We pointed to a bigger table when they seated us but they said it was reserved. Noone came though while we were there. Plus there were lots of empty tables as we came in just about half an hour after they opened. Other than that, we still enjoyed our experience overall and will come back next time we are in town.

First time visiting Finn's on my sister's recommendation. Wow, such a wonderful dinner experience. We were seated indoors but requested an outdoor spot if one came available. Within 15 minutes we were seated outside with our drinks (Summer Spritz) and watched the Coho ferry steam away. Little tourist tugs putting around in the harbour, sun was starting to set and fantastic food too! Shared the Alaska King Crab side with the best Caesar salad topped with sauteed wild prawns and finally Garlic flatbread grana padano parmesan w/chipotle dip. This is my new go to spot when I visit VIctoria. Great staff who were friendly and gave us an excellent service experience.

My wife and I came to FINS on our holiday from Calgary Ab..... It was our anniversary and was looking for something special after last nights awful experience at another sea side restaurant. I asked for a sea side table and was greeted with a warm smile and told it would take approximately 20 mins.... They went to grab my wife a chair to sit down on during the wait which was a very nice gesture...After 4 min the hostess announced that they had made a table ready for us.... We were introduced to our server which had the most amazing additude and personality.... The food was the best ever eaten in Victoria since being here... I cannot even put into exact words to describe our dinner... They went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable.... I would truely recommend FINS TO ANYONE WHO IS UNSURE OF A ABOVE NORMAL DINNER EXPERIENCE WITH GREAT FOOD... MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF FOR THIER DEVOTION TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.....

I love this place!!! It is my favourite for a seafood dinner in Victoria!! The great atmosphere and vibe are only surpassed by the spectacular food and service. It can be a little pricey, but that could be because they are in a major tourist zone and/or...I just tend to eat too many appetizers with good wine before a decadent meal. To that point, it's good to book a reservation, or you could be waiting a while (or miss out).

UPDATE: 15-18-20% is the standard in Canada. I am not a tourist. Yours was 25-30-35. I am not lying or kidding. This was not even 24 hours ago, so i remember this very well. Food was great. Drinks were good. Service was good. But. Windows were covered in bird poop, definitely ruins the spectacular backdrop, and creates a feeling of untidiness. Having a huge splat of green bird poop on the window at eye level certainly does not add to the mood. Automatic tip options on the machine were: -25%, 30%, 35%. Hey, Finns management, why stop there? Why not 135% tip? Or maybe pay your servers better, so i dont have to feel that i am doing it for you? Unless my kids broke your table, no service ever is worth 35%. Not a feeling you want your clients to have when leaving your restaurant.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon Happy Hour. The prices were amazing for happy hour and everything was delicious. I had oysters and the two course dinner happy hr special. We waited about 30 mins at 4pm for a patio table but their were tables inside. The service was also fantastic.

Great option for a dinner in the downtown Victoria. Don’t miss the happy hour at 17:00 to get good beer, skewers and garlic bread. There is a nice option for a dinner menu that includes chowder and linguine. Enjoy.

Went their with my family last night. First time out to restaurant after months of restriction. Service were great! We were greeted everywhere upon entering, and leaving the restaurant. Food were amazing! I had Seafood Linguini, my son pan roasted local Rock Fish, my daughter Steak Frites, and my wife West Coast Paella, alone with few appetizers. Only complain is my wife's Paella, the rice was almost considered cold, probably cooked ahead of time, and just lay underneath the seafoods, so she just ate the seafoods, and left the rice alone. Overall a great experience!

We arrived in Victoria as part of our Alaska cruise. We felt as if seafood would be appropriate so we searched and found Finn's. The view of the waterfront is great especially with the outdoor seating. The food is tasty and the portions heaping. Don't overlook the bowls on the menu. Mine was loaded with seafood with jasmine rice and broth. The apps are large-maybe good for sharing. Our waiter, Chelsea, was friendly and attentive. Go.

I enjoyed our visit to Finn's; the atmosphere is fantastic and our server Jenny (I think!) was really great. I found the drink prices a bit overboard honestly $15+ for a 9oz glass of wine? The food was ok at best really; we had the dimsum appetizer but it was very bland and I feel like it came out a frozen pack. Then we had the muscles which again were just ok. We ordered the fried oysters and those were terrible. Sorry! Way too much breading so it overcooked the oyster inside and turned it into mush. It was peak time when we were there so food came out really, really slow but I can understand that when it's busy. I had high hopes for Finn's as I have never been there and have always wanted to. I don't think I'll go back. :(

If you are looking for local and fresh seafood restaurant in Victoria....this is the place! Had a steelhead fillet one evening, came back next evening for rockfish.... both dishes delicious. Very nice food presentation on the plate, charming ambience in the restaurant. Very friendly staff, but want to point out my server/bartender Jesse..... knowledgeable and professional, touch of class and true asset to this restaurant.

Decent food with a good view of the inner harbor. Seafood is well done, but on the salty side. Risotto is a tiny bit under cooked for my liking but this is particular to me, my wife found it perfectly fine. In the Haida Gwaii seafood bowl, the clam and mussel is fresh, while the prawns and the squid, less so. The vanilla brûlée cheese cake was just sweet enough and not so overpowering that it drowns out the rich creamy taste of the cheese. However, the brûlée bits on top could be bigger to impart a more sophisticated texture to the cheese cake. A solid 4 star for a no fuss, family friendly restaurant with a good seaside view.

Super disappointing overpriced food. You are definitely paying for the view which if so matters...you might as well just take the stairs down and get the fish and chips. I ordered the rare seared ahi tuna. Spectacularly small proportion. The dressing was so full of butter it solidified. The Moroccan chickpea cake is so tasteless and bland. This is perhaps the 1st real disappointment in Victoria. But have to give it to their service though. Very polite. Very helpful. They have the location. They have good servers if only the food matched up, this would be such a great spot.

Service here is top shelf. They are extremely accommodating and seem genuinely happy to be serving you. The food is RIDICULOUSLY good!! Buttermilk chicken burger was wonderful and huge portion. Bar staff are awesome, on the ball. Very friendly, and dedicated to providing an excellent experience. Food on the other hand was ok. Not great. We ordered 2 of the same meal. Portion sizes of sides were very different. My veggies were barely warm hers were steaming hot . When I enquired about it the barkeep went down to the kitchen and returned with an apology. But no additional veg or replacement veg. Which tells me the kitchen was swamped. Ok, so the kitchens busy but why does that have to mean that quality drops? From my experience at Finn's I can suggest going there for drinks, maybe appies but head elsewhere for your main course!

I had the seafood chowder expecting a blend of seafood in a rich, creamy base. Was disappointed big time and left most of it. The Manager came by and removed it from the bill. On the upside, my boyfriend and I each had a different dessert and both were incredible. I would give it another try.

Visited here for the “Dine Around and Stay in Town Victoria” program. First time but was decently surprised - service was good, nice vibe, and the food was decent! Particularly liked the pesto risotto- it’s creamy and full of flavours, but everything could be slight less salty for my preference. All in all great place!

Very Nice Meal. Sunday Lunch on the patio. Food was excellent, service good although the place was busy. Patio had nice views but crowded and the dated patio furniture could be upgraded. The uncomfortable metal chairs had awkwardly sloping backs and could have used some padding. The main restaurant was nicely appointed which made the patio seem like an afterthought.

We visited Victoria in October 2019 and tried several restaurants. Finn's was absolutely the best!! The food and the service were outstanding. The seafood chowder was the best we've ever had. We were going to eat at a place down the road but the patio was not for minors (and we had 2 little ones with us). I'm so glad because Finn's was amazing! We had a beautiful view of the houses of parliament and the water. Our waitress was so lovely and recommended some kid friendly places to check out. And the food.... oh so good! The halibut special was fantastic as were the crab cakes. Would definitely go back if we're in Victoria!

I was in Victoria for a week and my mother and I went to this restaurant twice. The first time my oysters tasted slightly off with a fishy taste, not being familiar with west coast oysters I didn't think much of it... The next time we came back my mother added a lobster tail to her steak order and immediately sent it back as it was most definitely not fresh! I tried it to make sure. I had ordered a Guinness with my steak as well and it tasted like soap! However this is not the end of the story! Before the meal was done we had BOTH to go use the washroom to relieve our bowels explosively. I do not know what caused it but it came on sudden and strong... It is worth noting that the owner came to apologize and offered us more lobster if we wanted it but of course we didn't. It is a shame that their food was so under par because the location and service was great. Maybe it's a COVID thing with supply chains? I'll be avoiding this place until I hear from someone that their quality has improved.

Visited this spot with my partner while we were exploring Victoria for a weekend. The food was delicious and the presentation was flawless. The atmosphere is a little more refined, but not overly formal either. I feel that the servers could have been more attentive. However, since we were not in a rush to go anywhere after dinner, this did not take away from our experience. We will return again the next time we are in town!

Today we went to Finns after a great whale-watching trip. It was close to 40C. We had to wait for 45 minutes outside standing on the sidewalk. Three kids under 9, two seniors and two adults. The seating hostess had told us initially it would be a 15 minute wait. After being seated it was another hour wait for our food. Not a good example of customer service to say the least!

We always have a good time here. Considering this is a prime location, with views - prices are reasonable. Try their $29 early dinner, great value. We did one time have a waitress that had a very unsightly dirty apron, but overall, its our go to place for when we have out of town visitors.

The food was amazing. If you like mussels, get them as a starter with the bread, they were probably the best I've ever had (I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo until halfway through). For our mains, we had the fish and chips and seafood linguine. The linguine was loaded with seafood and the fish and chips had a huge piece of fish. Melissa was our server and she was lovely. I took a star off because they told us it would be a 20 minute wait and it ended up taking almost an hour. In the end, it was worth it, but I was very grumpy and hangry about it at the time. Overall, I would love to come back, but with a reservation or the expectation that I'll be waiting a while.

Service was very bad. Our waitress Anzeli (not sure I spelled it right) was very unpleasant. When my fiancé was trying to order his second beer, she looked annoyed that we called her over. I secretly told her it was his birthday that day and she promised to offer a desert with a candle on it, but it never came. Hope the restaurant finds some better waitresses in the future as it does not make the restaurant look good at all with this kind of service!

Great place if you love seafood as menu is limited to other food choices. I'm not partial to seafood, my husband is and the reason we went. I ordered tbe only chicken dish and it was only so so. Way to much cale as a base, a handful of gnocchi and under cooked chicken. It was a bit pink in spots and not too much flavor. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his starter of muscles and his main dish of steelhead fish. Our waitress Emma was excellent, friendly and there when you needed her. Good customer service. I woukd recommend a few more non seafood dishes to choose from.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! My wife and I dined here on Sunday, August 23rd while visiting Victoria. We brought our dog with us on the trip and were hesitant to leave him in the hotel while we went out for dinner. We called Finn's and asked if they had a patio or someplace where we could tie our dog so that we could see him while we ate our dinner. Finn's said they could accommodate us and they certainly did. Finn's went above and beyond! The manager set up a chair outside beside the window in an enclosed space for my pup and even put out a small bowl of water for him, while my wife and I sat inside by the window and we got to enjoy a wonderful dinner stress-free. Finn's effort and kindness really touched us. I think the manager's name is Michelle and if she reads this please know how much we appreciated everything you did! The food and service were excellent. We had oysters to start and they were so good that we ordered another 6. For the mains my wife had a salad Nicoise that she enjoyed and I had fish and chips that were excellent. For dessert we had the chocolate cake and it hit the spot as well. Our waiter, Michael, was attentive and always there when needed without ever feeling overbearing. Everything about the night, from the drinks to the service, from the cleanliness to the decor, was superb. Again it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had and they are fully deserving of the 5/5 star rating.

Celebrating my b’day today; and I am glad I waited for 5 minutes for the restaurant to open. The food and the service was amazing. Chelsea suggested the best foods on the menu and the chefs came out to check on the table and the food as well. Chelsea efficiently checked our table and was just perfect. In the end she got me the best ever small birthday cake which was gorgeous with the sparkler on it. It goes without saying that the food was absolutely sumptuous and the beer as chilled as the arctic. Both we amazing the sauce on the Oysters were perfect. For mains, we ordered the New York Strip, Fish and Chips, and the Seafood Linguine. The New York Strip was cooked to perfection. The red wine sauce on the side was a little sweet but the mashed potatoes and the compound butter were really good. The seafood linguine was the perfect texture and very creamy. The seafood was really good which was topped on top of the pasta. The fish in chips were alright. The fish was a little dry and the fries were pretty good. If the fish had a little extra flavor and be tender it would be amazing.

Went to Finn's for Lunch. First I don't want to see people at the hostess stand cleaning glasses. Service wasn't great, and it was not till later till I noticed that there were lipstick marks on my water glass, and not from me. Also didn't notice right away because I brought my own straw. This restaurant has a great location in victoria. Its on the water and the surrounding area is nice and walkable with a great energy and lots of other pubs and restaurants to visit. The food here was rather disappointing when you consider the higher prices they ask. My girlfriend had a poke bowl and it lacked some freshness. I had a fish dish and its was yummy, served on a nice bed of vegetables.

Tldr: dinner service was poor, food was above average. Price was fair for the location. Would not go again. Wanted to get dinner by the harbour in the evening, as soon as we walked in the servers sat us down but left us for ~10 min. The staff fronting the building were not friendly, nor did they try to be. We asked to be moved if a seat opened, and it did but they “forgot” about us so we sat, with our waters, for over ten minutes waiting. The place was not packed at all. Our waiter was top notch though, really brought the review from a 2 to a 3. Served the food and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The food was good, fresh and everything as ordered. The dim sum appetizer was just okay, would not recommend. Overall, it took over 30 min to get orders taken, and that just left a bad impression.

I loved this place. Went in just before noon. Servers and hostess was properly garbed with PPE. Food came promptly and was FANTASTIC! Portions wer smaller than other places I've been, but it turned out, they were perfectly sized because I wasnt overfill as we walked the inner harbor. Yesterday my husband and I visited Finn's for lunch as part of my birthday weekend. Let me start with the good stuff. OMG!!!!!! That Shrimp Taco with pineapple was amazing. Since I've moved to Canada, I very rarely enjoy something that really blows my mind, in most of the "pub like" or "steakhouse" type of places. This was truly amazing flavours put together 10/10. Crab legs to die for! Cooked perfectly :D 10/10 The lobster was a bit over cooked, it's quite an expensive dish to have over cooked. 7/10 Service : 8/10 (could have been 10/10 without the hostess that was on shift) Lastly, I am really not sure how to feel about this. It left a very bad taste. Obviously. A young blonde woman was our hostess, she didn't ask us anything when we said "table for two" walked us straight to the bar lounge part of the restaurant (3pm) and seated us right by the door way on a bar height table which was sooooo tiny, one can barely have a drink on this table. The restaurant's dinner section was EMPTY. The backside sunroom dinner side was also pretty empty, yet she picked this tiny table for us right at the door. We asked our server to move us somewhere with a bigger table. He had to speak with the same hostess again. And she comes back in and says "so you want a dinner table!?" and then leads us to the back sunroom *(we told the server table with view would be great), then seats us in the corner with the smallest f*ing table again. Right next to the server's tableware shelves. There were about 3 other tables (4 seaters but come on the restaurant was empty) and she chooses to place us in this dump of a corner. I didn't want to throw a fuss to someone who already has been asked for a better table once and yet does this. She was just so odd, so impersonal, while walking us to the second table she was on with some fake small talk, and totally disinterested in what we actually said. I don't know what her deal was, but my goodness it felt so f*ing discriminatory. How could we not, we were very casually dressed (since we had been road tripping), hate to bring up the race thing too, but that's the thing, this was so bizarre. At one point we thought she gave us that corner one because the other 2 seater was having a leak from the ceiling but there was a another 4 seater! so!?!? Anyway. The food was great, and our server was so amazing and sweet. The hostess can't take away from that.

One of the best restaurants in Victoria! We ordered take out for dinner two nights in a row. We ordered the prawn tacos and steamed mussels which were both exceptional. The sweetness of the pineapple in the taco was a perfect balanced with the spiced prawns. The rockfish was also surprisingly good. But the paella was just mediocre as the seafood seemed like it was cooked separately and tasted slightly fishy. In general, customers will not be left disappointed if they had food here. Just some recommendations however due to some miscommunication over the phone: Tell the customer the total price of the items as well as repeating the order before charging their credit card. Server also nearly forgot to get me to sign the receipt when I picked up my order.

Absolutely incredible dining experience! This restaurant was beautiful with its amazing view of the harbor. All 3 of our kids loved it! 3 course meals for them starting with veggies and ranch dip, the entree, and then cute little ice cream with gummy worms on top. My husband and I had the steam bowls my curry was so flavorful that I was tempted to lickthe bowl. For appetizer I had the fish chowder and it was a nice thick cream sauce with large pieces of salmon and halibut. We did a lot of research and picked this place and I'm very happy that my husband finally decided to come here.

I have to say the food at Finn's is substantially better than what the previous restaurant there served. We ordered the seafood chowder, seafood linguini, prawn tacos and the mussels with white wine sauce. The seafood linguini was really tasty and creamy and loved the seafood chowder. We also had their house made cheesecake and that was really really good. Our server Chris was polite, friendly and professional. He would check up on us often to make sure everything was good and that we didn't need anything. Amazing service for them being so busy at the time we went. Will definitely go back!

The view is beautiful, the food is good but our experience tonight was unacceptable. I am quite certain that our order was forgotten. As we waited and waited for our food to come people newly seated all around us received their food promptly. I understand that mistakes happen and if we had been told that I wouldn't be so upset. Instead, someone, not our waitress, came to our table and told us there was a long line up of halibut orders and our food should be out shortly. Meanwhile other waitresses went right on recommending the halibut special to other tables. On top of this ridiculously long wait, our waitress barely acknowledged us. Very disappointing.

There are mice. It may be just one very active mouse, or several mice, but be warned that you may see a tiny furry friend. First off, the waiter was fantastic, very attentive and friendly. I have only good things to say about the service and personality of the waiter. When my partner and I arrived it took about 10 minutes to be seated, despite the restaurant being empty and even being told by the hostess that it was a slow night, and we seemed to be seated only when other couples started to arrive creating a line behind us. It was odd but not the worst part of the night. Around dessert was the time that the mice started to run around the floor of the dining room of The Finn/The Docks. They would come out and run around for a couple of minutes, and then retreat into the walls or under tables again. My partner and I made a game out of who would spot the mouse first. We told the waiter who brought the manager out to speak with us, which did not improve our experience. We got a bit of a spiel about why there were mice, or rather my male partner was told why there were mice, and I was asked if I was scared of the mouse and if I wanted to move. As a female in my twenties it left a bad taste in my mouth, but we stayed as did the mouse. There were no accommodations otherwise. The price of the food did not meet my expectations of flavors. It was good food, but there are better restaurants in Victoria, both in quality and experience. The food was decent, tasty but not quiet good enough to justify the price. I did enjoy the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake and it was a solid dessert. Finn’s was better when it was under the name of The Docks, even if it seems to have been rated lower under that name previously. Not likely to return, and would not recommend.

Worst food and service ever! Super expensive. Avoid this tourist trap. Kevin R is the worst server I have ever had. I really don't understand how they have a good rating if the place is horrible. If you are looking for an excellent seafood place close by, go to steamship grill & bar, just on the other side of the little bay. They have a great seafood chowder.

The happy hour is from 4 to 5:30 and you can also take advantage to order the early dinner for $30. Food and service is amazing but I will rate it 5 star if that AC is working better near the window seats. We seated by the window and the afternoon sun came directly through the window (the window blind is not helping to block the sunshine at all), and it still feels like 30 degree even sitting indoor.

The food is very ordinary pub style food. If you are hungry it does the job but it is not exceptionally tasty or something that would take you back to this place. We went there for lunch, but I guess if you visit this place for dinner and want to enjoy drink more than food then you may have a better experience. If you are lucky to get a table beside the window you will enjoy a great view. They get five starts for their service though. I am not sure I would go back to this place if I was in Victoria.

My wife and I visited for what we hoped would be a nice relaxing evening meal. I ordered a small portion of chowder to start with and we both ordered main courses. The chowder came quickly and was very nice. Unfortunately I was only halfway through it when the main courses arrived (I don't eat slowly). Rather than apologise and offer to bring them back in a short while the waiter pushed things out of the way and put them on the table. I've never eaten at a restaurant where this has happened before and was dumbfounded. I did say I hadn't finished my starter but no apology was offered. The main courses were fine, nothing to write home about and we finished our drinks and left. Not at all what we had hoped for.

The seafood portions on the menu are what you would expect and all the other comfort food is excellent as well. This spot is usually a little quieter (menu price maybe) however you will be pleased with the atmosphere and the drinks that are served here.

Was really impressed by this restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing. Nice low lighting and I was happy to be seated on the second floor that had a view of entire restaurant. All the food was really good. Their seafood linguini is one of the best I've ever had to. I also really enjoyed their poke bowl. Fresh and authentic flavours and the seafood really shines.

We had an excellent experience at Finn’s. When we first walked in every worker greeted us with a gracious smile. Our waitresses, Haley and Ludan, were entertaining and shared information about Victoria. The food was fantastic and they were able to acoomadte for my food allergies (4 of them to be exact) by making me a special stir fry! I would definitely go back again.

We only had drinks and the food that people ordered looked decent judging by how enthusiastically they were eating it. The view is very nice and makes for a great experience. The low score is for the fact that one of the servants was less then adequately presentable in my opinion. Now I am not crazy picky when it comes to that kind of thing, but I worked as a waiter for 2 years. In my opinion it was not appropriate. I don't want to go into much detail. Edit after response below: I think you 100% know what I mean. Anyone that walks in can notice it right away.

We just tried to get into this restaurant. There was a couple ahead of us that left because they were told the wait would be over an hour. We were told we’d have to wait a long time too. But then this other couple came along and they knew Maria and Maria was very excited to see them and told them they could have a table and immediately took them in. I cannot support a restaurant that favours people. It’s rude and classless.

Found this restaurant online and decided to check them out because our their reviews. I visited with family this past weekend and had a great experience. Our waitress, Mahri, was super efficient and friendly. Our food runner, Isaiah, was warm and made us all laugh. He described and delivered our meals with flair and flourish. Our meals lived up to the hype and were all delicious. Both staff members were equally professional and personable - making our first visit to Victoria memorable. We will definitely visit again at our next visit.

Wanted to try Finns for the first time. Called on a Sunday around 6:30 for the seafood linguini. Was told on the phone that they're experiencing a dinner rush and cannot take our order. The lady answering the phone advised to call back in 30 mins. With only patios open at the moment, I understand that there could be an increased demand in take-out orders, but why not take the order and advise of an increased wait time? What happens when the restaurant and patio are full? Is there a limit to take-out per hour? It just doesn't make sense to me.

What can you say about Finns? The food was outstanding, and our waitress Sasha was incredible as well! We ordered mostly fish (Fresh catch of the day - Halibut), Cod, and 2 orders of Wild Pacific Salmon. Being from Ontario, I'm not used to tasting such delicious Fresh Pacific Salmon. It was quite simply the best Salmon I've ever had. The pictures speak for themselves. If I could give 10 Stars, I would. A bit pricy, but worth it!

Filled with scent from the sea and good decor, the place has a really laid back vibe. I ordered a steam bowl of calamari, sided with a coffee-flavored cocktail. The broth tasted rich in flavour - a creamy sauce with a little spice and liquor, kind of reminds me of tom yum soup, pretty intriguing! The clams itself fluctuated in quality, as some were not processed as well as the others. But overall, it was a great experience dining in Victoria! The staff here really brings it to the next level.

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the inner harbour. Finns has been here for sometime and for good reason. The food service and attention to detail here is amazing. The dining room in the restaurant is immaculate and has its own vibe and ambiance. If you’re lucky you can get seated at a table with an ocean view. Reservations are recommended here for dinner as weekends are probably quite busy. I tried the fried chicken sandwich and almost immediately knew I would be coming back again at some point. The service was almost personal which made us feel welcomed and the rest of my party’s orders were described similarly. I will be coming back again, in the meantime if you find yourself on the island a visit to Finn’s is a must. COVID protocols are being followed here and safety measures are being followed.

I’ve gone there for my first time tonight. And without having a single drink me and two of my friends went in and was told by our server after going through a few set of stairs that we where seen stumbling and that they were not serving us drinking because we where to drunk. This was without even speaking a word to us without asking us if we wanted a glass of water or food. First time coming face to face to us. We were so put back that we got up and left because it was very rude of her to assume. For my first time coming here and very excited to experience this restaurant I was highly dissatisfied and went somewhere else. If I knew her name I would mention it but she wasn’t named. I will not come back to this establishment, and will be telling other people about this experience.

Hi. I took my wife and mother yesterday there for birthday dinner. The food was very good.the service was not. When the waitress read back the menu she did not read my order so I asked her if she got it.yes she said. I ordered 2 pc halibut.when it arrived I got 1pc. Then when I got the debit machine there was no option not to tip...a minimum of 15%. That's unacceptable to me.a tip should be a reward for good service which I did not get.

My mind is literally left blown. Never have I ever seen service like this. My wife and I were on Saturday, crunched for time the waitress had our food to us in minutes (I missed her name. Was served on the Patio and she mentioned she just came home from Vegas) anyways, she had our food to us in literally minutes. Today before flying home we just had to eat here again (we had last year as well and was unbelievably good) so stopped to see how busy it was. It was 2pm and crazy busy. The ladies at the front counter said I problem. We went in and the waiter had our food to us in minutes again. We literally sat, ate and paid in 20 minutes Give these staff a pat on the back. My wife and I can’t thank them enough

Amazing dinner @ Finns seafood restaurant with my family. Husband and I shared the seafood linguini and prawn tacos. Both are spectacular, great flavours and very fresh. In laws got the fish and chips and they were very happy. For the price you really get good service and great food. I recommend them 100%. I’m very picky with my seafood linguini and this one hit the spot. Also the prawn tacos with the pineapple?! *chef’s kiss*!

We dined here today for oysters, apps and drinks. Great view of Victoria harbour from the patio, great service and food. Mid to high ranged pricing but worth it in my opinion food and service in mind :). Went specifically for the oysters and they were great. Got the Kusshi Oysters, appropriately priced and a good size. Definitely worth it to check out! Parking is a bit tough, but theres a big parking lot located a staircase below the restaurant.

Came to Finn's for me and my wife's wedding anniversary since we heard great things about the restaurant. I made sure to tell the staff when making the reservation so they could put a "happy wedding anniversary" message on our food/dessert. View from the restaurant and hostess at the front was great. We started off with a few appetizers that our waitress had said was their most popular items. As my wife was drinking the seafood chowder, I heard her make a weird noise and then watched her pull out a long fish bone after she spat out her food. This happened 3 times and we notified the staff right away and even showed them all the bones. The waitress said she would tell her manager immediately to have this looked into as it was shocking to her as well. The manager on site (a tall blonde woman) came over and asked if we were ok to which we both replied yes but confused as to why so many bones were inside a chowder. She said ok I will talk to the kitchen, and we never saw her again for the remainder of the night...no follow up, no apology. My wife and I look incredibly young and could pass as teenagers so I'm not sure if that's why we weren't taken very seriously or if my wife needed to be choking to be acknowledged. No staff members came to check on my wife anymore afterwards and it left us very disappointed in the way we were treated. No anniversary message either like I had requested. We were very happy going into the restaurant and left on a low. Of course this didn't ruin our anniversary but the night was supposed to be our celebration and we chose to do that at Finn's of all places. Thank you to the blonde manager on site for making us feel so special... Happy Anniversary to us I guess?

I've visited this location on several occasions, both busy and slow, and received the same excellent service every time. It's as if the servers anticipate exactly when you need something. Almost spooky ; ). As a local, it has become one of my favourite places to go. The view is spectacular but the food... nothing I've ordered has disappointed. Everything is delicious, but it's the service that keeps me coming back!

I can’t say enough good things about this place and how much we enjoyed our experience here. Everything was so delicious(muscles, seared tuna & rockfish risotto) and the service was EXCELLENT, not to mention how beautiful it was to watch the sunset on their covered patio. One of my top dining experiences to date and felt very safe with their Covid protocols. They were even able to accommodate our reservation early by an hour. 11/10 will return.

Overrated restaurant. Probably good to drink a beer with a good view. Food is not good. Service is okay. We went there because of the reviews but it was not worth it. We arrived early, about 5:15 pm and two people in front of us were waiting at the door. We thought the wait was to be seated outside but we asked to be inside because of our 15 mo baby. We still had to wait a bit to go in, even though the restaurant was completely empty. We don't mind wait times but only when it makes sense. We ordered beers as soon as the waitress came to our table and also made sure to order a portion of bread for the baby. Then we ordered a starter and our main dishes. They brought the beers. They bought the starters. The bread for our baby only came after we complaint about the delay, almost at the same time our main dishes came. Good thing we always bring food for her. What they call paella it is not and it will never be a paella: the rice was cooked separately - probably a few hours before the opening - and some small amout of seafood was added on top of it before it was served. The rice doesn't taste like seafood. Not even slightly. The portion was really small, making this an absurdly overpriced dish. If you try this dish at this restaurant for the first time in your life, you are going to get the wrong impression about paellas and may never try it again. Their bread was normal. Garlic Flatbread was normal. Croquettes were ok but the smoked tartar sauce that came with it was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place.

A fine little place, serving more or less casual food at a premium price. Considering the neighborhood and the view from the deck, the pricing is not entirely surprising, but seems a bit steep. Still, the fish and chips really was top notch, with a light, crispy breading and moist, flaky haddock. Their tartar sauce is something special, too. Recommended if the prices don't scare you off.

We ordered Rare Seared Ahi Tuna and Finn's Seafood Linguini. We are disappointed with the food for it is very salty. However, the manager is very helpful and willing to accept opinions.

So far this place has the best fish and chips. I know that only my opinion but dang it was tasty. Our server was extremely genuine and sincere. The view was pretty slick ; overlooking the harbor. It's on the pricier side of things but we had relatives in town.

Finn's exemplifies what is meant by "good service." As my wife and I were shown to our table, every waiter and busboy through the large restaurant made eye contact and greeted us with genuine enthusiasm. This continued until we were out the door several hours later. Our waiter explained how happy she was to work there because the owners treated all the staff so well. By the way, the food was great too! And the decor preserved the character of the original chandlers who serviced the sailboats of yesteryear. Highly recommended!

Started with the "Catch of the Day" as an appetizer. Two large Crab Raviolis... Delicious! I ordered the Seared Tuna and the rest of our group had the "Just back in season", Halibut. SO GOOD my wife wanted me to fly her back for her 60th Birthday to eat it again! She'll have to hope they offer me the recipe and I'll try and get close! If in Victoria, this is the real deal! It's not your typical Tourist City restaurant that charges high prices for mediocre food. These were very fair prices for some of the best mouth happy dishes we ever had! John Degraaf, Tempe Arizona

From the moment we walked in all the staff were extremely friendly and welcomed us. We had a nice spot on the patio for drinks and shared some oysters. If you want to watch all the ships and seaplanes come into the harbour while enjoying some beverages, this is the place to be!

Best place for happy hour oysters in my opinion. Half price on both kinds which is fantastic. They are not as cheap as some of the "buck a shuck" options but the quality of the oysters make them worth it. Staff is always friendly and the views are wonderful; love watching the planes come in and out of the harbour while enjoying wine and oysters!

Finn's is one of our favorite restaurants in Victoria. Great location right on the waterfront. The food is always good as is the service. They have some of the best lobster anywhere. The prawn tacos were really good as well. Highly recommend.

This place is quite popular, so be there earlier for dinner. We really like the fresh oyster and the fish tacos, however, the pesto risotto that comes with the halibut was too thick and herby to my taste. The local oyster and the fish of chef's select was not available during our visit. Other than that, the atmosphere was great, wine was good, staffs were friendly and helpful. I believed that you will have a good time at the Finn's.

NO TIME

Coming from Houston, we’ve our fair share of really good food! Finn’s was up there and food was excellent. But the cullinary experience was not the only exceptional one! From the moment we walked in with my wife and 2 daughters (18 & 20), we were greeted and helped by Caterina (i hope I am spelling this right). Once seated, Maya took over. Both these ladies have a sense of service that a lot of place could learn from and I see a bright future for both of them. But if this is any indication of the culture Finn’s is instilling to its associate, then hats off! We will be back! Thank you for a memorable dinner!
