Fairway Market is always a great place when we need to get this "hard to find" or unique Asian cooking ingredients. The fruit section is normally really great as well. The only thing I find is that the cashiers seem relatively unhappy. They rarely smile and are really not very helpful. They could use some customer service training.

Kinda feel nostalgic about this market. It's smaller than most Fairway markets, but well stocked. Lots of employees that have remained constant throughout many years. The staff are really nice and it's generally an easy in and out. Lots of parking and close to a drugstore with pharmacy, liquor store, and Dollar store. One stop shopping.

Good prices, friendly staff, it's a good neighborhood grocery store. The advertised sales are worth checking out and you can get some great deals. I like the produce section especially, paricularly the variety of produce it has. I also really like their dinner menu items packaged up from the deli section in the evenings, you can get a good deal on a good meal that is of a better quality than the other grocery stores.

Hello. I purchase a carton of economy brand cigarettes every week from Fairway Market. Over the past two weekends, I out of necessity, shopped at Thrifty's. The difference in price between the latter and the former is noteworthy: nearly $6 dollars less at Fairway Market. The difference in lower pricing of many other products is also apparent at Fairway Market.

Same as most grocers. However, having lived in the area and having this Fairway as my primary grocer, I have seen alot of past due food on the shelves. Even going so far as to have as little as $1 off of a price on the day of expiry. Even this is better than finding items that are rotting even before their due date. Hasn't improved in 9 years. But, great place if you have no choice. Haven't seen a rat!

I go here for lunch a lot as they have a salad bar that is pretty good. I shop here once in a while for groceries and found their rotisserie chicken is the best in town. Their prices are competitive and they have a whole Asian isle if that is what you are looking for.

It's small but great location and great staff. I usually find international stuff here, but I don't buy meat here because it often goes bad before the best before date. Brought it back and the customer service was able to refund my money back. Make sure you keep your receipts though.

Regular grocery items are all their, meat section I would rate as average, produce - Quadra location specifically is above average both in selection and quality.

Pretty phenomenal Asian foods aisle, but their credit system is a bit behind in the times. If you're traveling or visiting from the States, have cash handy. They can't take US Visa, MC, or Debit for some reason, but can process the Canadian equivalents just fine.

This is our local grocery store, every time we go we hope that the store has improved. Unfortunately it never does. It seems every trip we find items that are past their due dates and expiry stickers that are stamped over each other. We often bring this to the attention of store management with no affect. We give two stars, one for the friendly cash register staff and the other for the occasional good produce. Please heed our warning and always always check the due dates on anything purchased here.

Prices are the same but selection not as extensive as large FMs. Really nice staff; friendly and helpful. Located in a plaza that includes a Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollarama, BC Liquor store, Subway, and Villages Pizza...park in the lot, walk around the FM to nearby shopping. There's a transit stop, #11, right in front of the store as well as a Chevron gas station and CIBC banking branch next door. No self-pay kiosks. A short walk to the beautiful Gorge Waterway.

Awful customer service. After being a regular customer they wouldn't give me a refund/exchange on some prawns I bought. They made my dish taste fishy. They were in poor condition with bits and chunks taken out of them. I've shopped there for 23 years. I worked there when I was a young adult for 4 years. I go to the Gorge store 2-4 times a week and they can't give me a refund for a product I'm not happy with. Think a little harder next time Fairways. I spend thousands of dollars at your store every year. What's a $9 bag of prawns? This is literally every other grocery store's philosophy.

On the plus side, clean and staff we have interacted with for the most part have been friendly and helpful. Cashier (lady who has a parrot, sorry don't have name) was extra nice!???? Negatives, need to add to their organic options, lacking in produce in particular. A reno would be helpful too, decor is pretty basic and dated. For a neighborhood grocer to pick up a few basics, it's fine. For a big shop, especially if you value organics like I do, Uptown mall is much better option.

I used to live and work near this location. The staff here are really kind and helpful. I have found the food options to be great. However sometimes what we wanted seemed to be always out of stock so we had to go somewhere else. The produce at this location was usually great though. We have recently moved in to the area (Gorge/Tillicum) and this has become my go-to daily needs store. Very helpful and friendly staff, and very well staffed (i.e. no long waits). In general I find Fairways to be the 'local' store now that Thrifty's has been bought by an Ontario company. The prices at Fariway are generally good and not too expensive compared to other so-called local stores. A great place to shop!

Being on the corner of Gorge Rd and Tillicum St it is at the foot of Gorge Park. Even though the Tillicum Mall is only a few blocks away the store has managed to survive for over 50 years. The service and quality of foods bring the people back again and again. The fact it has survived this long is all one really needs to know.

I personally don't really like this place. It's close to my residence. The prices on certain items are prohibitive. There are some bargains if one looks around. I often amuse myself with their publicity which I've altered: " Fairway Markets: no club cards, no gimmicks, just high prices".

The female staff are always friendly and efficicient and kind. The male delicatessen manager is completely on the spot and knows his fresh items (Fresh Sheet) like the back of his hand. This means very well, as an expert in fact. Meanwhile the other male staff are rarely seen except occasionally stocking shelves and they have zero people skills. One more thing, the Fairway Store uses a security business to prevent shoplifting. There is one guard who harrasses and stalks me because I wear poor person's clothes and have a backpack and a hooded sweater jacket. I do not wear the hood in the shop so as to present my happy face because I actually enjoy shopping at this store. There are often fabulous deals on discounted products and every night after 20:30 or 8 PM local time all of the prepared foods in the deli go on sale for the most inexpensive amounts of money. I LOVE this Fairways Market.

Is the only place I can get the Italians bread good prices and some unique items. But I never buy Meat or Seafood here way too many bad experiences! Bought a fresh turkey the day before Thanksgiving put it in the fridge when I got homenext morning I went to get it ready to make Thanksgiving dinner and it was absolutely rotten! So foul it stunk up the whole house! Absolutely gross!
