Had breakfast twice while staying here. We sat out out on the patio (Don Cherry’s) which was bright and clean. I ordered the the breakfast sandwich with hash browns on day one ($8) and day 2 I tried the 3 egg omelette ($15). they were both delicious which lots of fresh quality ingredients just like how I would make them at home. The service was great as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the consistency and quality of the food as it has been hit and miss over the years. Definitely recommended for a solid no frills experience.

I've been to many high-end restaurants before and have been happy to pay upwards of 50$ for a meal. In my opinion though , a grill in the middle of a hotel with kids screaming to the left of me and fake plants in every direction is the complete opposite of classy, my expectations were lowered. Then my meal came... as I sat with my companion I looked at my sloppily prepared meal and felt disturbed, a tiny leg of lamb over cooked and with a pathetic helping of the plainest mashed potatoes, in a bowl with a few pieces of steamed vegetables around the rim. The taste was bland. It was my partners meal that really put a bad taste in my mouth fish and chips with Caesar substituted for the fries, two small pieces of fish and an incredibly tiny bowl of salad(small enough to fit in my palm) for a grandiose price of 17.50$, well until she complained about the extra charge of 2.50$ she almost paid for the terrible Caesar substitute. Needless to say our $45 dollars would have been better spent at a fast food restaurant, at least then we would know when we had gotten there that we are paying for crap. I could go on, but I'd rather not waste any more time than I already have in regards to this restaurant.

Came here for breakfast while we stayed in the hotel. Super nice set up for this mini restaurant in the middle of the hotel atrium. Restaurant is surrounded by jungle/forest of trees lit with lights. On one side the hotel pool is right there. There is a real flowing river cutting through the hotel building which is amazing. Breakfast was super good and decent priced. Our waitress was really good. Will have to try dinner there next.

Really sad that I've had to change my review of this place. I want it to do well, but the food has been hit and miss. I've eaten here occasionally over the past three years, and the quality of the food really fluctuates. Sometimes it's really good, other times it is not. What really bothers me though is that, with the exception of our first visit, every time we come to eat here, the staff act as though unprepared to serve us, a party of two to six, well within normal hours. Every time, the host/hostess/wait staff will greet us, then crane their neck with furrowed brow, looking around the mostly-deserted restaurant as though straining to find a place for us to sit. Once seated, the service has always been polite, though we have more often had an inexperienced server who made quite a few mistakes than we have had seasoned servers. I know, everyone has to learn, nothing wrong with that, it's just weird that we keep getting served by people who don't know the basics (though always very polite and eager). The food is no longer worth the price. I would have gladly paid it when they had their old head chef who was WONDERFUL, but now, well I've probably given them their last chance unless I hear from somebody that things have changed. The new facelift on the outside of the building is quite nice. I hope they get their food quality and staff training sorted out, because I really want this place to succeed.

Stumbled upon this place completely by accident on the way to pentiction. My BF said it is was one of the best Sheppard's pie he has ever had at a restaurant. My Steak sandwich came out perfect and tasted great! Service and food was fast and friendly. Will be back whenever in Vernon:)

Had Christmas buffet last night and was so looking forward to the meal. It was terrible. Not many options. Salads were in dark so you didn't know what was there. Ham was overdone. Turkey was okay. Desserts were bought and cut up. No coffee or tea out. I will never go back. 51.00 down the drain. And it appeared short of staff. Not impressed.

Love it here. Nice atmosphere and great breakfast. A regular spot when I visit Vernon. If you are sensitive to smells please note that this is in the same courtyard as the pool facilities so there is an odor of chlorine and chemicals.

BX Creek Bar & Grill is great! Service was fast and friendly. Menu has great selection, but we had the featured Butchers Blocker and I fell in love! Chefs made it perfectly. It is so pretty at night with all the trees and lights. Highly suggest going here!!!

We booked weeks in advance for the 5 pm Christmas Buffet & there was No Turkey & the place was was a zoo, from over booking. Not very happy for this experience or the excessive cost.

Just had dinner here at the Vernon Lodge. It was fantastic. I had the Chef's creation - Salmon Oscar. Shout out to Chef Corey Anderson for cornacopia of flavours all presented on a charcutereie board. So much good food! Thank you!

Not impressed AT ALL!! Right from the get go trying to make a reservation by phone to the food for the Christmas Buffet at $35 a head with an automatic 15% gratuity ( which I don't mind paying if deserved). Daughter called a few weeks ago to make a reservation and was told to call back cause they were busy (who does that???) I called the next day and was told the same thing!! Called an hour later and was told they were busy and that they would call me back. They didnt. Called the next day and the person finally took our reservation but lo and behold when we showed up on the night of there was no record of our reservation ( I had a feeling) Three days to try to make a reservation!! They then tried to shove us at a table away from the buffet area so I asked to speak to the manager but one didnt show up. We finally got a table in the buffet seating area!!! Last time!!!! Our server was fantastic. Agree with the person who commented on the food especially the desserts. Store bought and terrible selection. Turkey, ham and stuffing was delicious everything else mediocre (lots of salads????).

We arrived at 5:30 , with a reservation for 6 people, the hostess had us down as a table for two. It was Valentines Day (but we were celebrating my cousin's birthday.) We were handed a menu with 3 choices of appetizers, 3 choices for main courses and 3 choices for dessert (none were vegetarian) all for $40 per person. We had 2 children with us and they had to order of that menu as well. The restaurant was not very busy, but for some reason it took an hour and fifteen minutes for us too receive our food. When we finally got it, it was cold and bland. The first course was a piece of water melon the size of a sugar cube with balsamic vinaigrette on it. I am so beyond disappointed specially because i wanted to have there "famous" prime rib. SO UNIMPRESSED. Further more the hotel was hosting a hockey tournament so there we bratty kids running around screaming everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish i could rate it no stars. NEVER AGAIN!
