Five stars for location: in the heart of Trenton downtown and by the water, on the Trent River. Five stars for decor and ambiance: beautiful restaurant inside and outside. You will be as comfortable sitting indoor or outdoor However, if the weather is nice you can’t beat the view on the patio by the water. Five stars for service: very friendly and attentive servers. Good wine menu. Three stars for food: the food is well prepared and presented, so you know they put their heart into it. However for me it lacks that oomph once you bite into it. For example, their tomato sauce has a sweetness to it , perhaps they add sugar or cinnamon (as Greeks do), which I personally don’t like. Their chicken Marsala is also too sweet for my taste. However, the pickerel fish my husband had was very good. I have heard they have good pizza so that’s what I will order next time!

5/5 for the service : Good job guys ! Cannot say the same for the food. Burger was dry, the only thing Italian about the pizza was the cheese : dough was chewy, oily at the bottom and really thick, heard the same thing from the table next to us. I would be super ok with the prices if the food tasted as good as the place looked. To say the least : overpriced. The experience could have been much better...

Tomasso's is a beautiful restaurant right along the waterway. Italian cuisine and friendly staff, although can be a bit pricy it is great for events or date nights. There are a lot of different rooms and spaces within the restaurant, as well as tables that are more private/quiet for those looking for a quiet meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the back windows overlook the water, and during the summer there is a beautiful patio space along the water as well. They provided pick-up fine dining meals throughout COVID for their customers and have been great in all our interactions throughout and before the pandemic. The meals are also very sizeable and we have gone home with left-overs/to-go containers every time. Even though Italian food isn't a favourite of mine, I would recommend this place for someone looking for a more upscale date night or a small event in Trenton.

Every town seems to have that one place to eat that you absolutely must try. For Trenton, this is Tomasso's Italian Grille. This Greek-Italian fusion cuisine is absolutely incredible no matter what you order. The pizzas are all made in house with hand-crafted crust and sauce with an option for everyone (including vegetarian and gluten-free), the pastas are hearty and delicious, the salads fresh and topped with perfectly-curated ingredients, the wines are local and the atmosphere is incredible. It is imperative that everyone enjoys their meal on the patio here at least once with a beautiful view of the Trent River. As a kid I remember always visiting Tomasso's for special occasions. The owner and his family/staff have created a special experience for all of their guests. When you come to their restaurant to celebrate, they celebrate with you. It truly captures not only the authentic tastes and smells of Greece, but also the atmosphere and mood. It is impossible to leave this restaurant without feeling happier than you were when you walked in. This restaurant originally started out as the pizza takeout side of this restaurant known as Jim's Pizzeria. It eventually expanded to accomodate the authentic recipes brought from Greece by the owner himself. Rest assured that you will never taste anything like Tomasso's as many of these recipes are top secret. This family-run restaurant will make you proud for supporting local businesses and will introduce you to all of the flavours that the Bay of Quinte has to offer.

That alone goes a long ways in my book of respect. Well done employees!! Just a minor mix up in the receipts with 15 people with individual tabs, no issues, good recovery by the staff.

Tomasso is the place to go for a night out. Stopped here for one last supper before deployment. They have large portions, high quality food, amazing complimentary garlic bread and friendly staff. Good specials every night of the week. Definitely recommend if only in Trenton for the night, driving through or looking for a good meal.

definitely not the worst italian food i have had before, but certainly very far from the best. i had bruschetta and baked chicken tortellini. very obviously pre-made then reheated, bread wasn't made in-house. the precooked chicken on the tortellini was incredibly salty, while the rest of the dish lacked flavour. The food was underwhelming. My sister ordered the seafood fettuccine, and she remarked that it was something comparable to what you would receive at a restaurant like Red Lobster. The prices were very high, another member in our party ordered a steak dish and was asked if he wanted onions on the side and he said yes, then was charged $5.50 for a small ramekin of onions. we also informed the staff that we were celebrating a birthday, and they brought out a single slice of the dryest chocolate cake I have ever had (without asking about any dessert preference). We were also charged for this slice of birthday cake, $8.50. I won't comment on the service since we came in right at the end of the dinner service, and our waiter was understandably tired, especially on the first day of the proof of vaccination requirement. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant due to the high costs and low quality.

Cesar salad was great. My wife had chicken, with only 3 pieces of shrimp on it ,small piece of veal. Substatuted the mashed potatoes for more vegies and they just added more carrots. Really looked bad on presentation. She went home hungry for the first time. My pasta was good and I enjoyed it. New to the area and unfortunately will not be returning .

A great spot in Trenton and the atmosphere is sound. The food is always a good sized portion and really tasty. A little bit pricey for Trenton and there's a bit too much choice on the menu but overall a great spot.

I've been going to Tomasso's since I was very young. Over the years my family has been connected in many ways to Tomasso's. Tom and the Kotsovos family have always been gracious to us and are very great with their staff and guests. As for the front house staff, you couldnt ask for better service. They are always highly professional and very good at the job. The food is fantastic no matter what you order and the atmosphere is elegant and comforting. I would recommend Tomasso's to anyone looking for a 5 Star meal with 5 Star service.

Beautiful surroundings, impeccably clean and good wine list - with a nice variety of dishes and pizza. A bit loud in the new room. Wasnt a fan of the seafood fettuccini. The sauce was bland. Calamari wasnt fully cooked. Chicken marsala tasted very sweet and kinda burnt. We had 2 servers. 1 didnt pay attention to us, we asked for bread twice and didnt recieve any. Also waited for a beverage had to ask other waitress to get bread and drink.

Stopped in this restaurant for a bite to eat for dinner and to try their menu. Situated in the downtown of Trenton with easy access and parking close by. We were seated at a table with a view of the Trent River which was awesome. We went for a large Mediterranean pizza which was mouth watering delicious and I highly recommend. They have a number of Italian dishes on their menu which we will try on our next visit. The severs were very attentive and provided a great service. If your in town make sure you put this place on your list. Good dining.

Had a couple of pizza’s at Jim’s Pizzeria which is the small takeout counter connected to Tomasso’s Italian Grille. The pizza was really good - mouth watering. Tomasso’s Grille is nicely designed and has a sophisticated but casual feel to it.

We have tried to go here on 3 separate occasions and each time (on a Saturday afternoon) they have been closed. There is no sign with business hours listed and CLEARLY the website hours are not accurate. Very unimpressed that they are never open and that we have wasted our time making attempts to dine here. The lack of singe and improper advertising is not very customer friendly. It was extremely frustrating to find out from another business owner that they don't open until about 4pm each day (but even she wasn't 100% sure). This will leave a bad taste regardless of how good the pizza is supposed to be. I won't bother again.

The management is lacking in customer service training. I tried to order a pizza and when I asked to substitute mushrooms and add green olives they wanted to charge me extra. To charge some one extra because they have a dietary restriction and then give you no explanation on the reason why is bad customer service. The pizza is very expensive to begin with. Unfortunately we will no longer be going to this restaurant. It seems they think trying to save time and money on a $40.00 pizza is more important than explaining their actions. I would highly recommend ordering from some where else. It's sad they only cater to the well off folks around town.

Jims and I go way back in the history books, I no longer live in Trenton but make the drive still to eat here! I can honestly say I used to work here and the kitchen is spotless! Tom & CIndy are very strict on how the kitchen is operated and maintained. Food quality is good and he treats his staff very very well. It was a pleasure working for them! And if you can work in any resturant and recommend to others and still eat their yourslef, there is something to be said for that!!!!

Food is absolutely splendid, however the service is out of the norm, I don't know if they're new servers or not but they dropped the ball tonight, did not ask for drinks first while we order, app came first and I had to go to the front desk to ask for drinks with my meal, all was reprimanded in the end and drinks were free no matter the drink, so that was a benefit, however I did not want that to be the case and would rather the regular service, so as I said whether new maybe the case, it would be proper to train the staff on the right protocol and if mind is wandering somewhere...do not let it, save it for home, work is work and should be focused on task and customer satisfaction. It was the food that saved you tonight, so step up your game staff, minus the kitchen ????

This was an experience that I would do again and again. We went there for our anniversary. The hostess was very friendly. We were seated in the lounge area right away as we had not made reservations and they were very busy. Our waitress came and was very friendly. She asked if we were celebrating anything. We told her it was our anniversary. She was very excited for us and asked for details of how many years we were celebrating and how we met. She knew details of the food and offered us her favourite items and some suggestions of switching out sides to enhance the meal even more. She was never annoying and apologized when she happened to come by when we both had taken a bite of food. When we were done she brought us a slice of cake on the house for our celebration. It was delicious. We also tried the peanut butter and flourless brownie cheesecake as I had already chose it from the dessert menu and am gluten free. The atmosphere was lovely. There was a Christmas tree decorated very stylish and not too over the top. The menu had personal touches in it that told you the meaning of the Italian words that you may not be familiar with and the history of the restaurant. The food was phenomenal! They bring you fresh baked bread with garlic butter while you're waiting. My husband had the maple and mustard baked salmon, with garlic mash (instead of the rice pilaf), and seasonal vegetables which had carrots, squash and beets ( the beets were our favourite). I had the chicken marsala, garlic mash, and seasonal vegetables. The sauce was delicious, not too heavy or over powering. It really allowed you to taste the flavour of the chicken as well which was cooked to perfection. I tasted my husbands salmon as I a not a big fan of fish. I would order it myself if its still a special when we go back. More restaurants could learn a thing or two from this place. Its family owned and amazing. Great job everyone.

Very noisy. This was a special occasion with reservation. Ushered to table in front of table with 12 female teachers. Noise was deafening where we could not hear each other. Table so close to theirs that waitress bumped our guest while he was eating. Appetizer arrived with no plates to eat it from. Two guests had no cutlery. Waitress reappeared only to take another table's order. By the time she returned, our expensive appetizer was luke warm. Half way into our main course we had to ask for the complimentary bread. Our beer order was requested twice. The pasta was undercooked so hard, definitely not al dente. Very very disappointed in the entire experience. Trenton dining would do well to encourage more restaurants to come to the area and force what restaurants it currently has to up their game and find out what fine dining really means.

I've only visited once, so Tomasso's may deserve a better rating. We were in for an early dinner and we all had pizza. Which was good, but not outstanding. The service was friendly but not quick, even though there were few patrons. Other dishes looked good but we were only able to see a few. I'd go back and try something else if I get the chance.

Went there with my family last summer and ate on the patio. The staff were amazing and the setting is beautiful but my pasta had frozen vegetables in it, and the chicken was pre cooked and processed. Expected a bit more since we had eaten here many times previously and it was delicious. Maybe they were limited due to covid but I haven't been back since.

Tomasso's is my daughters favorite restaurant, she loves the view and in a sit down setting I'll pay a bit more. The food is good, but not quite worth the price point. I'll come back to Tomasso's but won't be buying from the take out portion.

Over the years, each time we have had the opportunity to visit Trenton as part of our boating excursions, we have made a point of visiting Tomasso's and we have to say, we have never been disappointed in the food, service or ambiance. Our opinion is that this is one of Trenton's prime attractions and would encourage anyone coming into the area either by boat, car, bus, etc, make a point of visiting this restaurant. Best food - Best Food - Best Service. Totally "Off the Hook". Keep up the efforts as it pays off for sure. We recommend it to everyone we know or come in contact with.

Family run Italian restaurant that serves reliable, if unsurprising dishes. I've been here quite a few times over the years and the food is generally consistent, although the pizzas are good, which is what you would expect given the heritage. On this visit I had the house spaghetti, which is a unique take on spaghetti and meatballs - in that you also get mushrooms, peppers, onions and salami on top. I'm on the fence if these additions are worthwhile because the meatballs are very good and everything else tends to detract from that. One thing I should point out - there are always plenty of staff on hand so you never feel unattended at any point and all are extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely give this place a try and consider checking out the pizzas.

Love their Caesar salad, and usually order the chicken parm (which I stand by), but the veal marsala was a mess. The veal was barely seasoned, and tasted still of raw flour. Worse was that the marsala sauce was not emulsified and was separated on the plate.

Tomasso's was amazing! Everything is on point. The food was really fresh, balanced and full of flavors. The portions are impressive and the service is of the highest quality. The atmosphere is a bit fancy, but it remains very relaxed and enjoyable. When the servers serves the main dishes, they offer you fresh parmesan cheese and pepper, it compliments most meals very well. The pizza was one of the best if not the best pizza I have ever had! Everything was perfect, the ingredients were crazy delicious, the flavours were perfectly balanced and the crust is unbelievable. I simply have nothing negative to says about this restaurant, while the price seems to be on the expensive side at first, you quickly realize it's actually a very good price for the quality you get out of it. If you ever go to or even go near Trenton, make absolutely sure you stop at Tomasso's Italian grille, it's a must!

Your restaurant offers takeout, but you can't order takeout for kids. This is just plain stupid, all other restaurants have take out kids menus but this one. I can't believe that I can order a chicken parmesan for takeout, but you can't order chicken strips for a kid, it makes no sense. We have just come from a wonderful dinner at Tomasso's. The quality of the pizza was first rate. Although the price was a more than you might pay at a fast food pizzeria, the quality is beyond comparison. Add to that the atmosphere (we were on the patio overlooking the Trent Canal) and you have a far more enjoyable experience. Of particular note was that my wife who uses a walker was able to get to the patio without having to lift her walker one bit. A person using a wheelchair will have not problem accessing the dining area or the patio.

I have celiac disease, so finding places to eat is a challenge. I have NEVER been glutened by Tomasso's and they have so many options I can actually eat. On top of that, the food is always delicious, and I love their commitment to local food and drink whenever possible. When I ordered a pizza the other night, it was late arriving (just slightly. I hadn't even noticed!). They sent along a $10 gift card for the inconvenience. Stellar customers service, always excellent servers, and a lovely view to boot.

Visited Tomasso’s over this weekend and was really happy with the food and service. Andrea , our waiter was very attentive and brought the dishes ASAP when she saw our little one was hungry . She made good suggestions on our orders and tweaked some to suit us - we are vegetarians. Over all really great experience. Don’t miss this great place if you are in this area. Reservations quite important as the restaurant is quite popular and tends to be crowded.

We attended Tomassos for dinner. Beautiful environment.... They were quick to seat us although we waited 15min before a server came to the table. Our first drinks were quick then it seemed like they forgot about us. We ordered an app that arrived cold then waited..... I had no choice but to go to the bar and order our own drinks. I’d like to mention that the restaurant was all but empty at the time. When we finally received our entries they were scalding hot and fresh out of the microwave. We asked for the food to be returned and pay our bill. The manager came to the table and was extremely confrontational and rude. This restaurant is awful and I would not recommend it to anyone. We are customers and expect a good experience and service. We eventually went to the McDonald’s for dinner Sadly!

Went here for lunch. Went to outdoor patio. Nice view of the river from the patio. HOWEVER, due to the flowers on the patio, there are a large number of bees and wasps. Therefore, if one is allergic to bee/wasp stings, you should exercise extreme caution!! Four of us and we shared calamari and a large meat lover pizza. I LOVE calamari and this is the best fried calamari I've ever had. I could not believe how tender the calamari was. Pizza was very good. but I do think it was a bit over priced. I checked out their wines and they do have a nice selection of wines including a brunello and a barolo. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful decor, lovely riverfront patio (despite the bizarre Fresh Co on the opposite riverbank. Who allowed that zoning???). Service was great. Tomasso's seems to be the only fine dining option in what appears to otherwise be a culinary wasteland. The advantage is that they look to have expanded, and are busy. The disadvantage is that their menu still appeals to the broader public. I'd like to see them shrink their menu and elevate their food, as it was designed for the less discriminating palate--not that anyone complains about food with an inch of mozzarella baked on it. Yum! But not exactly advanced cooking. Would like to see them be even better. Lost the star for the basic food, and the too-long menu. Do less, but do it better.

Not a fan. People raved about this place so we tried it out last night. Ordered lobster stuffed mushrooms, the mushrooms weren't cooked fully. We had to ask for bread and didn't recieve it until my appetizer was almost done. Ordered the mushroom sauce/ chicken breast. It wasn't a real chicken breast, instead it was a pre-frozen chicken patty you get in a bag at No Frills. And I'd bet money on the 'garlic mashed potatoes' being powder potatoes. The server didn't come back to refill the drinks either. Save your money.. eat at McDonald's

Very cute, very tasty spot in the Quinte West/Trenton Area. One of my local faves for sure, if you're in this area this should be the go to. It's right on the water (requested table in the back for the water view) and when you walk in there is a really pretty and welcoming fire place. The food is simple but prepared with fresh ingredients and done well so I enjoyed it very much. Will be going again for sure! Thank you Tomasso's!

We were on our way from Montreal to Toronto and the traffic was horrendous. We were at the exit on the 401 and did a google search and found this place. The service was outstanding. Stacy was very patient and took care of us. She brought our children, 4 and 17 months some doe to play with. I found this a great touch and kept our children busy for a little while. They still ran all over the restaurant, being in the care for 3 hours will do that! The food is okay. We had the vegetarian pizza. The toppings were fresh. The crust was a thicker than I prefer, more a Neapolitan thin crust. If you like a thick crust you should enjoy. There is a fantastic view if you sit in the back of the water, we were in the front where we bothered the patrons a little less lol. We never felt rushed or like we were a bother. All in all a nice experience.

I was disappointed in the food, more specifically meat platters specialties. The veal and chicken Masala were drenched in flour and undercooked and the sauce was slightly watery The vegetables were slightly undercooked and mashed potatoes combination was edible. The appetizer consisted of fried calamari, outstanding. The consistency of the apple crumbler dessert was more like apple oatmeal. The service was excellent. Of note, interestingly enough the majority of the patrons/customers were ordering pasta dishes from the menu. Overall, I was very disappointed in the food offered at Tomasso Italian Eatery.

Nice location in downtown Trenton. Nice views of the river from inside, or outside when the patio is available. The seating inside is spacious and comfortable as well, (be careful of the slanted edge on some tables, don't want your drink ending up in your lap). The portions are hearty and flavourful. There are a number of good options available that hit the different cravings you may have. Veal parmigiana is quite tasty, as are many of their pasta dishes. A restaurant I always look forward to coming back to.

For the price you pay, and the food you get it is pretty well on par. Waiting staff is very attentive but not interrupting you like other places. They also have a very good skill at finding just the right drink recommendation for you. Only complaint, someone I was enjoying the evening with had to send his steak back 3 times before it was fully cooked all the way through. If there is one thing that shouldn't be hard to do, its cook a steak well done.

My fiance and I celebrated our anniversary here over the weekend and have nothing but good things to say about our experience. We were greeted with a Happy Anniversary at the door and were sat at a great table with a beautiful view of the water. Our server was great, very quick and generous with the bread that we love so much! Escargot was very yummy with plenty of garlic and cheese, our entrees were cooked to perfection with so many scallops in my fettuccine alfredo! Valenine' s Day was just a regular evening dining experience here.The only exception was a ( Draw basket) of which you sample products and give feed back to the company who donated the basket.Other than that, a simple pale pink 5 inch rose, that was not fresh was at the end of our table. Sitting beside a cold window and chair as well with tables too small to hold all the glasses and plates as everything seemed to come at the same time.Dinner was not anything special.Could have done better ourselves.We have been here many times and the last three have not a good experience.Our personal opinion is we will not be going back anymore.

I ordered a Pepsi with my appetizer which was good as I was having a hot soup and splitting a bruschetta with my wife. I got a refill for my pizza which I normally like to have with a little Frank's Red Hot sauce. They unfortunately don't have Frank's and I was offered Tabasco which was fine. For those like me that didn't think there was a huge difference between Frank's and Tabasco, BEWARE. I thought I was one of Daenerys' dragons the way my mouth was on fire. I finished that 2nd glass in only two slices of pizza. When the waitress came around, I asked for a 3rd refill as I was not going to make it much farther without it. I was told that there is only 1 free refill and I would have to buy another drink if I wanted another soda. The cups are small and the soda costs $3. I was a little upset that for what they make per order of soda that they couldn't give someone a 3rd refill.

Food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Drinks were great too (highly recommend tomassos lemonade). Portion sizes were good, unlike many who have been shrinking their servings. Highly recommend visiting for a meal, but make a reservation (isn't required but recommended so you can get a table).

We have gone there a few times and never questioned anything but the last time we ordered the Pinot wine from the menu that was supposed to be an Italian Pinot at a cost of $9 a glass. When it came we recognized the taste and questioned the waiter and she told us it was Oggi and they ran out of the Italian but still got charged $9. Had we not asked they never would have told us they ran out. Nota classy move at all.

Ordered pizza from Jim's and pasta and poutine from tomassos. Pizza was good. Pasta was chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Almost no chicken and sauce. The dish had a few pieces of broccoli and peppers but not worth $22. Italian poutine and regular poutine would have been good but was dry. Fries weren't fried long enough. For a high class restaurant, they should know better. Don't waste your money on poutine. I will order Jim's pizzeria but won't get Tomasso's again. You used to be delicious Tomasso's. What happened?

Always love visiting this piece of Trenton history! It is truly the BEST restaurant in town, bar none. You can have your fancy event here, or even drop by in your jeans for a quick lunch- anything goes. The food has always been the best Italian (and some Greek!) in the Quinte area, and the family owned business still works hard to bring new and interesting dishes to table seasonally. The patio view in summer just can't be beat, and the staff have always been wonderful. I may be biased because Tom + Cindy gave me my first job and really took amazing care of me and my sister as employees; but they strive to treat all of thier staff well and help the community at large at every opportunity. You'll walk away only wanting more, so make sure you order that extra pizza "to go" with your leftovers - you won't be sorry.

There is nothing like an amazing restaurant in a small town and Tomasso’s is no exception! Although we are from out of town, my grandparents have lived there for forever. We go to Tomasso’s for every special occasion when we are celebrating in Trenton. This past weekend we had reservations for 6 people ranging in age from 2 years to 92 years and there was something for everyone. The kids menu has more variety than most places, and the kitchen staff were very diligent in making sure the food was allergy safe. The Caesar salad is a staple, and all the pasta dishes were delicious. The nice thing about having a great restaurant in a small town like Trenton is the very personal experience. Both owners came to our table and chatted with us on two separate occasions. We will definitely continue our family tradition of eating at Tomasso’s. (My uncle loves the pizza so much he always orders one to go for the car ride home back to Toronto!)

We haven't eaten food from Tomassos in approximately a year. We had always enjoyed everything that we had ever ordered. This visit was for a takeout order .We ordered a Caesar salad and Chicken a la Forno which we have had many times before. What I noticed this time though was that size of the salad had decreased considerably as had the amount of dressing provided. It appears that they also now use store bought croutons which are as hard as rocks. What a terrible addition to the salad. One positive aspect was that the romaine lettuce was fresh and the dressing remains delicious. The chicken dish appeared unchanged. The size is more than adequate and for the most part it tasted ok. But I miss the use of fresh broccoli and the pasta was somewhat dry as there wasn't adequate sauce for the dish. Either the broccoli had been cooked much earlier in the day or it was frozen but it was definitely not the fresh type that we were familiar with. We're hoping that this was just an off day so we will absolutely try it again. Hopefully I will be able to give 5 stars next time.

If I could give 6 stars, or 10, I would. Tomasso's has maintained perfect service, perfect dishes, and perfect atmosphere for as long as I can remember. My family have moved to London, but whenever the opportunity strikes we always make time in our trips to eat here. Tonight, I had the Chicken Penne Al Frono, minus the mushrooms and I substituted the cream sauce for a marinara sauce. Perfection, from the melted cheese insulating the fresh pasta in its dish, to the tender moistness of the chicken breast. I had no idea broccoli could be so perfectly cooked and incorporated into a pasta in a way that didn't feel so out of place and random. Ben, our waiter for the night, was a gentleman through and through. He went above and beyond for my mom and ensured she got her usual Chicken Cacciatore, which wasn't on the menu (but is a restaurant favourite). Every visit to Tomasso's is never the same, but in the best way possible.

Jim's pizza is pretty phenomenal. The pizza is a bit more expensive but you are actually having good food at a bit of a trendy upscale restaurant. The quality of the foods is unarguably good, and the service is pretty good. It is a LARGE restaurant with different sections and I was a bit forgotten at the corner because my server was very busy. The set up of the restaurant is very nice, it is by the water, with nicely designed interior. Very bright and open, high ceiling and comfortable sitting arrangements. Good wine selection.

Went to Tomassos for a romantic Anniversary meal last night, husband reserved a table for 2, and when we arrived we were taken to a bench seat for 8 people (like you get in Mcdonalds) which was in front of the men's toilet urgh! Very romantic....we asked if we could get something smaller more intimate only to be told " these are the tables we have for reservations "...bear in mind there are tons of empty tables as it was very early evening... so already disappointed we have our meal which to their credit was great as usual. At the end of our meal we waited 20 mins for our server to clear our table or bring our bill ..15 of that we tried getting someone's attention for them to try to find our server who was off in another area of the restaurant pretty much the whole time we were there...in fact she never even offered us refills on our drinks ..my husband felt he let me down on our special day, but like I told him it was Tomassos that let us down Not him! Won't be going back again.

We arrived at 7 pm and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, no problem we were expecting to have to wait. We weren't upset about having to wait however after they seated us we were completely forgotten about. We spent 30 to 40 minutes waiting for a server to take our order. A dozen waiters and none bothered to even take a drink order from us. We eventually left to have dinner at Thai sushi across the street.

We had reservations. We were seated promptly and the service was friendly. The atmosphere is nice, the view from the patio is relaxing. The appetizers mushroom caps and escargot, were ok but not spectacular.I opted for a lower carb option for the main and went with the fisherman’s platter. The haddock was dry and and tasteless. The shrimp was at par with what I would expect at a Red Lobster. The steamed veggies were cold and consistent with what would come out of a bag of frozen goods from the supermarket. My wife had the meat platter. The chicken was dry. The veal was undercooked. Maybe we should have tried the pizza or pasta but we saw a lot of partially or half eaten plates being removed from other tables. We both got gastro intestinal attacks that night after the meal. Needless to say we’ll be patient the next time and take an exit off of the 401 perhaps further east in Belleville or Kingston for better options there.

Tomassos has always been my go to. Would love to give 5 stars as the food is fantastic, however my experience with the take-out area was quite unfavorable. I came in with my 4lb registered therapy dog to pick up my order and I overheard some snarly remarks from a woman in the kitchen others were calling "April" about having my dog in the building. Perhaps before dirty looks and rude comments, April and others who do the same should stop and think first or simply ask for proof of registration...which I would have gladly provided. I'm very disappointed.

Jim's Pizzeria is the best restaurant in Trenton. Hands down. If your on any sort of trip or tour you have to stop in here. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal and taste like a true "pizza' ya". There pasta dishes hit the mark and they use real parmesan!! Loads of it of you ask. I have never had a problem with the staff or restaurant quality there, so that's another A+. Also if you stop in the marina while on your pass through the seven waterway with your boat, it's only like 5 -10 minute walk from there, if that. Located on the same street as TD Bank by the bridge. Oh an one other thing, don't let the restaurant Jims restaurant in Belleville fool the good hearted reputation of our beloved Trenton one. The Belleville one is horrible and the owner doesn't care for it like the Trenton one does. I rate this place a 5/5 Hands down. The prices are a bit more expensive than most restaurants in this area but it's worth it. Thank me later. Enjoy!!!

The pasta is very hearty. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauces were rich and flavourful. Some might feel it is overly sauced, but that is a personal taste. Great staff, service and portions. Expect your meal to be around $20 each but things do taste simple yet delicious. Lots of room to seat any size including some patio space. The bread they start you off of with the garlic butter melts in you mouth.

Hands down the best Italian food in the area! Their ceaser salad, chicken tortellini, chicken alfredo, pizza, dining room loaves of bread and the garlic butter that goes with are all ????????????????. Even the parmesan they freshly shave onto you food is on point delicious. For food, atmosphere and experience this place is amazing. You can even purchase a jar of the ceaser dressing or garlic butter too in the takeout part of the restaurant and belive you me even tho it's a bit pricey compared to regular store dressing+butter prices it's 100% worth it! If you enjoy Italian food this place is a must you won't regret!

This review is for the Takeout section-Best pizza in town! I love Jim's pizza. We usually order Jim's special and a make ur own with 3 toppings. If you are picking up should order about 20 mins in advance and just arrive to pick up and pay. On holidays its usually very busy.

I loved the food, and the atmosphere was cozy. The pizza I had ordered was perfect, not too many toppings and had great flavour. Our waiter (I believe his name was Shawn, he never said how to spell it) was amazing and it's obvious he likes his job and was witty to top it off. As someone with social anxiety, I sometimes have trouble communicating to others. But he was such a comforting presence I was able to relax a bit.

I just want to express my disappointment in customer service at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I drove up from Toronto to Ottawa and rather than to stop at a fast food restaurant we decided to stop at Tomasso. When we walked in I was amazed by the ambience and how beautiful the location was by the water. Of course since we were going to spend a few hours in the car we weren’t all dressed up. From the second we walked in, I felt absolutely judged. First off, we were served by a lady named Beth. As we sat there I saw the waitress next to us give incredible service to her customers as I would expect at a higher end restaurant. To have mediocre servers isn’t a good look for any business. As much as it would have been nice to have a glass of wine with our meal , that wouldn’t be responsible of us. So to not bother to check on your customers more than once isn’t acceptable. I don’t agree with drinking and driving so simply because somebody orders pop , it does not mean that they are cheap . Our food came much later than the table next to us NOT to mention their server packed up their food to go. And what did Beth do? Just toss some containers on the table for us to do it ourselves. Maybe if Beth would have noticed my 2000$ purse or the fact that despite our casual wear , it was all branded. Our service would have been different. Don’t judge a book by its cover, every person that walks through that door should be treated by equals and your staff should be trained to do so. Although everything in me strongly considered even leaving a tip ; I’m a server and I didn’t have the heart to do so. With my 80$ tab I would have left a 20$ without no hesitation so let’s say her tip reflected strongly on the service I received.

I ordered a Lasagna for pickup. I am very disappointed, it was very dry and barely any sauce. I’ve had it in the restaurant before and it was very good. I don’t know what happened but it seems like it sat in the oven for too long. I will come in the restaurant for a great meal again but not sure about getting take out again.

This certainly was one of my favorite places to dine when I first moved to Trenton in 2001. I'm certainly not impressed right now though. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with no red peppers. There were three small strips of chicken and a few pieces of broccoli. For over 20 bucks I'd expect at least a full chicken breast in my order - I didn't pay 20 dollars for noodles. The sauce was, as always, very good.

We had dinner with a friend from out of town last night. Sat on the beautiful patio with the boats going by. Our waiter was Cody who was excellent. He was polite, helped us with our choices and kept checking with us thruout the meal if there was anything we needed. He always had a smile and seemed genuinely interested that we had a pleasant dining experience. A rare find in today's get em in get them out atmosphere. Food was outstaing as always and our guest was truly impressed with the food and Codys service. A must go to when your in Trenton!

Walked into the take-out pizza side, Jim's Pizzeria Since 1970. Maybe in the 70s this was the pizza style of the day, it's heavy and the pie's wet in the middle. A wood burning pizza ovens and real neapolitan pie might be an impossible find out here.

Where to start! This is without a doubt, the absolute best formal restaurant in the area. That includes Coburg through to Napanee. The food is always cooked to perfection and promptly served in ample portions. The staff are friendly and the venue is beautiful. My wife and I try to eat here a minimum of once a month. Be sure to try the Caesar salad, the dressing is the best I have ever had!

First few bites of meal have been amazing, service is exceptional so far. Kid friendly. Prices are slightly higher than average but the service quality and portion justify making it good value. I made the mistake of not ordering pasta.. my meal came with a side of mashed potatoes which were very clearly dehydrated potatoes from a box. (You can just tell) Disappointed considering the cost of the meal. But the rest of my party got pasta, and were extremely satisfied. My friend that got calamari said it was some of the best she'd had.

The service was great! The staff was quick and super friendly and the location is very scenic. Those are the two reasons why I gave a 2-star rating. The food, on the other hand, was subpar and there was nothing authentically Italian about it. I ordered the seafood platter and what I got was definitely not a platter nor was it very good or fresh tasting. Also, the sauce they gave with the fish was obviously the same spicy sauce Chinese restaurants have and the vegetables were bland af. I don't know what I was expecting considering this is an Italian restaurant in a small town, but I was expecting better food than what I got considering all the other good reviews.

Metal wire in my pizza. Maybe a bristle from a wire brush. Not sure exactly. Poor response from owner and management. Didn't refund our meal, just the one pizza. So I got my pizza, took a bite, bit into the metal, pulled the metal out of my mouth and went to inform the supervisor. I expected them to be shocked and remorseful but they didn't take it seriously at all and just gave me a bunch of excuses as to why it's unlikely that it could have happened. My 3 year old was also eating pizza so I'm thankful it wasn't in hers. If someone swallows a piece of metal like that it could cause serious internal damage. Just Google what could happen if you swallow a wire brush bristle. Accidents happens so I wasn't upset but I was very disappointed with the response from management. They aren't good at taking responsibility. They justify their mistakes instead of apologizing and trying to make sure you are satisfied with the outcome. If customer service is important to you then avoid this place.

My husband and I chose Tomasso's for our 10 year anniversary dinner. We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a romantic ambience to it, the service was fantastic, the restaurant is clean and esthetically pleasing, and the food was delicious. We had spinach dip as an appetizer, which was really nice. It didn't taste frozen, like some others we've tried. My husband had a flight (4, 6oz servings) of various beers, which he enjoyed. For our main course, I had the chicken tortellini. My husband had the peppercorn steak. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. As a surprise, our server brought us a complimentary anniversary dessert to share- complete with a candle. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I've never really eaten at Tomasso's. It is known to be one of the best places to eat in Trenton though. I just needed to pick up a gift certificate for my parents. The restaurant was locked. It didn't open until thirty minutes later at 4:00 PM. A friendly woman working inside came to the door and asked how she could help. After returning with a wireless credit card machine, she got the job done in less than two minutes.

Tomasso is over priced. I have been there twice and both times was disappointed with both my orders. Soup was cold, pasta sauce was very strong as in canned I have been to many, many Italian cuisine restaurants that had higher quality food or chefs.

Some really great food, and they care about the ingredients they use to craft their tasty meals. Our favourites - baked lasagne; caesar salad, Jim's Special Pizza w/ extra cheese.

This is my hands down favourite Italian restaurant, despite all of the options in my home town of the GTA. They have an elegant but rustic decor, with incredible food and service. I'm always happy to see restaurants offer local craft beers to choose from, and Tomasso's has some great ones (the wine connoisseurs also said that they liked their options). Everyone in our group (12 people) lauded about their meals afterwards, from appetizers to the steak. From what I've had; the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti is a no brainer, huge portion and succulent; the pizza is on par with Dante's (...which will say something to people from my neck of the woods). If you're in Trenton and looking for a place to eat, you're cheating yourself if you don't go to Tomasso's.

Waitress had the excuse that she had to remember my toppings so she didnt rememeber i didnt ant bacon. Only 3 toppings on my pizza, she could of written it down and remembered. Dessert was a large peanut butter chocolate tart and it was amazing.picked up on time and with all Covid protocols followed. Great dinner and great experience.

Not one meal have I had here has disappointed. The food always comes out perfect and in a timely manner. It's hot. It's delicious, and it's right. Very reasonably priced wine & food. Personal favourite comes in on a tie between the Chicken Souvlaki and the Chicken Penne al Forno, but everything is amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful and ambient. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. I have grown up eating at Tomasso's, and will likely eat here til I croak. Always recommending. Keep it up. You're my favourite.

Great restaurant, great service. Had the famous Jim's (Trenton) pizza. I'm very happy to say Jim's Trenton is almost if not identical to Jim's Belleville (which is a good thing) but the restaurant is so much nicer which makes it a better Jim's pizza. GF had the Trio Milanese; really well prepared. I would also recommend this dish. Will most definitely return on next visit to the Quinte region.
