Disappointing espresso, the beans tasted over roasted and the extraction was bitter. The muffin was also dense and gluey. Have high hopes for the beans that we got, the Barefoot Blonde light roast, for home use

Don’t let the fantastically worded menu fool you. I ordered the Turkey on sourdough with “cranberry aioli” with a cup of chicken pot pie soup. My wife ordered a sandwich and soup as well. The place was not busy, and had three people working the front taking orders and running food and at least two people in back making food. Our food took well over 30 min to get to us. We were hoping the food was going to make up for the wait. That was disappointing as well. The so-called cranberry aioli was nothing more than pink mayonnaise...zero cranberry flavor. The chicken pot pie soup had almost no flavor and had more ham chunks than chicken, floating in a flavorless watery chicken broth that tasted, and looked, like a little low fat milk was added to it. However, they roast their coffee beans on-site, and I will definitely return for the coffee.

This is my favourite place in Trail. Really wonderful food and coffee at excellent prices, the soups are especially delightful. The service is always friendly and prompt. They keep a good balance between the different drink sizes, which is oddly not the case at other places in the area where you have to order extra shots to keep the flavour correct on upsized beverages. My one single gripe is that recipes aren't consistent between baristas when getting drinks with flavoured syrup. Sometimes a drink might be perfect and other times too sweet.

Outstanding! Came in for breakfast. Everything sounded great but we decided on the siracha/egg on English muffin and the avo toast on multigrain. The pico de gallo, flavored aioli, and greens were so fresh and delicious. It took it from good to great! You won't be disappointed!

The food is delicious, no worries there at all. The customer service is definitely lacking. The website has "daily lunch specials" but quite often isn't updated for months at a time. When I call to find out the daily lunch specials it feels as if I am majorly inconveniencing whoever answers. Its gotten to the point where nobody in my office feels comfortable calling to ask.
