Probably the best Chinese food I've ever had. My friends and I eat here every Friday as a tradition now. Its affordable as long as you don't do delivery.... I've heard that delivery is pretty bad time wise and price wise.

On Feb 2, 2018 I decided never to eat here again after being a loyal customer for many years. I picked up my telephone order and noticed a B Grade sticker on the window again, causing me to politely ask, "have you ever received an A?" The answer was "why do you ask?" to which I politely responded "because the other places I eat have A's and I have never seen one here." This caused the most senior waitress to respond, "Then maybe you should eat somewhere else." This arrogance is the reason they can't hold an A Grade - because they don't respect the grading process. I will never eat here again and suggest others consider one of the other Asian restaurants within 100 yards of this one. They are equally tasty, lower priced and offer friendly, humble service - unlike Mr Chinese.

I always went to Mr. Chinese for my 'chinese' food. I just spent $154 and got cold food again. The other most recent time was on an order for a birthday celebration maybe 6-7 months ago for $280 ..... never again will I ever order from this place again. Like seriously the wonton soup was so cold and the noodles were so over cooked. The bonbon ribs were so cold the fat had solidified. We pre-ordered around 1pm for 4:30 later that afternoon. I wasn't expecting it to be served at that time and delivered 3 hours later. Omg ???? ASIA restaurant for me now on!!!!

Went there for lunch when we visited our daughter. Had no issues with service or the staff. They were very nice. We both had the soup mine with greens and him with meat.I was very impressed by the amount of greens I got! I was very happy. But the broth was a little flavourless but still tasty. We also ordered the egg rolls. I found that they were over priced by the size of them but good. Would we go back...yes! Now our daughter can't wait to go and try.

Chicken balls were good, Bon bon ribs were really really dry. Rice was good. Egg rolls were not rolled but folded so there was not as much filling as most eggrolls - for $2.50 each they should be full. Wontons were meat filled and delicious.

It's always dicey in a town your not from going out for Chinese food. We drove by and this place caught my eye. The restaurant very modern I loved the artwork displayed and the layout. None of the old style decor really contemporary art of Chinese icons. Buddha the terra cotta army a faceless monk. Very striking. I hope to see more Chinese restaurants follow this contemporary look. Now the food. We were so pleased with our chop suey, fried rice and rib dishes. Fresh and nicely seasoned. The staff were also great. I would go back and recommend this restaurant. Good job.

Learned that larger parties must pay 18% added to their meal. When we were deciding amongst ourselves if we still wanted to eat there, we were kicked out. Not impressed at all. Previous experiences with this restaurant weren't that great either as the food was usually very salty.

Just ordered a dinner for 2 from my favourite chinese restaurant. When my husband called to ask the status of our order, the girl said "its only been an hour give it least another 30 to 35 minutes, it hasn't even been started yet" ok fine so20 minutes later, it arrives. We ate our egg rolls first, i then scooped up some fried rice and saw two clumps of rice with a human hair. My husband threw his plate out as did I. So we paid 50 dollars for two egg rolls. Awesome thank mr. Chinese, I wont be coming back to you again.

Extremely slow. They were 45 minutes late for pickup. While we were waiting the person on the phone kept telling everybody it was s 30 minute wait when they knew it was at least two times that. On top of the long wait they mixed up one of our items. Th food we ordered was hot and good. It was slow because they were extremely under staffed. This review is mainly based at the owner rather than the workers themselves since they did the best they could.

When my husband was sooooooo insistent about eating Mr. Chinese, I was wondering what the fuss was because I’ve had a lot of good Chinese and to me, I thought Chinese food was Chinese food anyway but I was wrong. He ordered the dinner combination no. 3 and I ordered the Pork low mein. We loved our meals! I had some of his and he likewise with mine. It was really good. I don’t have any pictures because we somehow always eat our meal before we remember to take pics for a review ???????? their food smells so nice and tastes so good that you might forget to take pics

The waitress who took my order forgot to bring my soup so when I reminded her I was told that it wasn't her fault because she thought someone else had brought it. When I suggested that only one waitress should be assigned to a table to avoid confusion I was told they all help each other and that if I didn't like how they did things there I could go somewhere else. I won't be going back. Also they won't tell me why they can't seem to get an A rating.

Racist staff. I was dining with my friend and in the middle of the meal i went out for a smoke and when i came back there was a bill on the table. The server assumed that i was done with the meal when i was clearly not. My friend felt the same way.

First off, the place is freezing. Many patrons in the restaurant mentioned how cold it was inside. My Mom and I went to have dinner and after being seated and had ordered drinks we were told the business would not be serving any combination dinners because they were too busy with take out orders on Valentine's Day. We each ordered soup and asked that our dinner arrive after we have finished our soup. Our soup was delivered and the waitress left our table. Within seconds, another waitress was delivering our meal. Our spoons didn't even hit the bowls yet. When we told her we asked for our meal to come when our soup was done, she returned it to the kitchen. When we were done our soup the waitress brought us our meal that was now barely even warm since it is so cold in the restaurant. The rice was cold and dried out, probably from sitting under heat. When she delivered the meal she apologized the other waitress brought out the food and said "She doesn't know, She's new. Besides it wasn't even your order." Funny how it was the exact same food we ordered and when it was finally delivered it was barely warm. The food would have been better if it had been hot and the waitress could have just apologized for the screw up instead of blaming the other waitress and lying to us telling us it wasn't even our food when they brought the same plate of food back to us 15 minutes later.

Taste not too bad. But very little meat or chicken on the orders. I ordered JJ chicken only 10% chicken and 90% green & red paprika. Same thing with tender beef, received 2 packs Styrofoam with 10% beef on each pack. Not recommended if you like meat and or chicken. If we go back again, we may only order fried rice even though the portion not big as regular Chinese restaurants.

GREAT place! I am recommending it to my friends here in SK. Nice portioning of food, clean washroom, awesome staff. The lady who serves us & table-visit us - that's who I gave my TIP. And I went to the Cashier and pay my/our bill, I didn't tip in there and the Cashier lady gave me a look and "murmurs" around, I just let it GO, and smiled at her. But HEY it was a long-drive & the food hit the spot :)

Ordered plain white rice with other food along, don't get me wrong they got everything right with great service but they screwed over the rice and gave us chicken fried rice and we called saying we wanted white rice they said hey would fix that and bring it back for us so we waited another 40 mins and they came back with chicken fried rice again!!! I don't get it she repeated the order and got it right I'm pretty sure it was the cook or whatever but I'm just pretty annoyed with the fact that they screwed up twice lol

Last time we went to this place was right after they re-modeled. Was not impressed back at that time. But since it has been years decided to try them tonight. They were very busy as it was a Saturday evening. Well guess what... the food is still no better. Just so so at best. The beef in the beef and greens was very tough. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Overcharged for the Tsingtau which is $5.95 in the menu but on the bill e\was called a premium at $6.95 each. Noticed too late and just wanted to get out. Not going back as it was poorest chinese I've had in years. Too bad as it looks like a real nice place plus many years agi their food was great. :(

Chicken fried rice, garlic ribs and I had chicken balls and she had beef and greens. Huge portions. We had lots of left overs.

I ordered on the phone after I was told that this was the best Chinese food in town. The food was prepared quickly and the staff was friendly but that was the best part about the meal. The food not good - probably a step below what you'd get from a food court. I think everyone was disappointed with their meals. I think it was best described by my friend as the most Americanized Asian cuisine he had ever tasted. It might be a decent place to go out to because the staff seemed very friendly but I hope that this is not the best Chinese food in the city. If that is the case, this town is desperately deprived of what could be a wonderful culinary experience.

My take out order was for Beef and Greens and Spring Rolls. The beef and greens were very bland. I think they skipped the garlic. The first thing I thought when I opened the container was "where is the beef". They filled the container with bok choi and I seriously couldn't see any beef. The spring rolls were also bland, lacking any garlic flavor. If you want bland Chinese food this is the place for you. The woman who took the order sounded crabby and was clearly flustered when I picked up my order yet the place was empty and getting ready to close.

Food was great, the ordering process was great, the delivery man was extremely friendly and Covid safe. Will definitely be ordering from here again. We had called for delivery to our hotel at holiday inn on Saturday December 17th at 9:00pm. The lady on the phone was extremely rude. She refused to switch the rice with the noodles. She refused to call when we got here (we asked her to call when they arrived as we might have been across the hall.) The lady very rudly said "excuse me? We will not call on arrival." She started asking personal question of why we wouldn't be in our room. For a number 12 and a number 10 was $49.00. The lady rudely said "its $49.00". The lady said they are closed at 9:10pm (which made no sense as their website says 10:00pm). I am not one to ever write a review on a restaurant because I know people work hard and sometimes have bad days. But the way this lady acted was out of control. I have never felt this way about any restaurant. We ended up cancelling our order and ording from another Chinese restaurant (which was great by the way!) If you are the manager reading this I would hope you do something about this lady. You will keep losing customers. I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever come to this place.

Ordered food while passing through Thunderbay on August 11th 2020. Did not know where to order decent food from, so I was advised by hotel staff that this was the best in the city..... Boy that was wrong! Ordered the meal for 6 and substituted ginger beef into the meal. Was a bit surprised when delivery showed up and it was $170 (quite a bit above the menu, they don't mention the delivery charge etc). Figured the price it would correspond with the quality of food. Took the 2 brown bags of food back to the room to feed the family. Open it up and find the szechwan noodles and ginger beef so soupy that the styro containers were put into plastic bags which were half full of "sauce". Fished out food for the family and sat down to enjoy the meal. First bite of the stir fry veggies were horrible, so badly over cooked they were like baby food. Moved onto the noodles and they were so over cooked they were like paste. Gave up on eating the food at this point (not just myself but the wife and 4 kids felt the same). At this point I decided that I needed to call the restaurant and make a Faceboom review to express the displeasure. Was informed by the female phone operator that "they can't undercook the food" and that the manager would call me the next day. We continued our trip out east expecting a call the next day... well no call. Left it for the next day thinking maybe they were just busy...wrong again. No call again. Went to our destination to visit family and were out of cell range for a week. Returned to cell range and found no voice-mail to show that they decided to call. Found that they didn't bother to respond or even post my Facebook review. Decided I would try to IM Mr. Chinese on FB messenger. They responded and we worked out an agreed upon refund that I was told that I had "his word" that I would be etransferd the agreed refund. Well that was on Saturday and today is Monday... and still no return and will not respond to Messenger as I have tried to see what the scoop is for the last 2 days. Very poorly ran "family business", he claimed that he had not heard from his employee until I messaged him and that they did not have my number (which was also wrong as it was on the receipt and I provided it to the phone operator). So Mr . Chinese I think it is time you step up and do the right thing (that you gave me "your word" that you would do) Sincerely disappointed customer.

Great place for Canadian/American Chinese food, not many choices for the authentic stuff. Really busy during Covid, so best to order takeout. Great staff with great customer service. Clean bathrooms too.

Then hangs up on me after threatening to call cops on me cause I wanted it free or more money off. Never will I ever order from here again. CHINESE EXPRESS is the way to go!!!! Rude ignorant people
