Down visiting my step dad for a while and as a tradition we always go to the bonnie prince for supper. I've always loved the bonnie's food, especially the chicken ceasar salad, always been a fav. So I ordered a ceasar salad with chicken while my step dad got his hot turkey sandwich. Now the salad part was ok could have used less dressing, but the chicken on the salad smelled of Really Bad stinky feet. Chicken meat must've been spoiled before it was even cooked. My step dads food was good although he has said he would never order their french fries ever again(they came out all crunchy and burnt). Waiter was nice enough though to take off $9 for the cesar salad. Last time I'll be going to the bonnie prince for a while.

I used to love this place. The prices were a little high especially since I found a piece of metal in my poutine. If they cant keep metal shards out of the food, I highly doubt they can keep covid out of it.

We love the Bonnie Prince! Their food is great pub-style food with plenty of options to choose from. Only thing we don't like is that the fries aren't always cooked very well. If you're like us and prefer fries well cooked, be sure to specify. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Loved the supreme turkey poutine with amazing gravy and home made fries !! The wings were a tad cold but tasty nonetheless the server did a great job serving our party of 7 and we tipped her well !! Highly recommended!

We always love the Bonnie! We all enjoyed our meals but have to say that for a person new to Celiac Disease I was very disappointed at their selections. Close to none. We will have to do take out so the rest of the family can still have the Bonnie and I can get something different! Disappointing !

Food is plentiful and affordable but not what I'd call flavourful. Not certain if all ingredients are fresh. Meat was bland and springy, a sign of being frozen. That being said, most of the menu items are pub food which might simply not have lined up with expectations. Selection of tap was corporate and domestic with no real craft selections which might disappoint some. I left full and was treated well and it was a positive experience, but felt it was incomplete. Definition of "ok".

Got fish and chips and it was very greasy you could squeeze the fish and watch the grease drip out. My wife got a spicy chicken burger and came out as the wrong burger. For a burger, fish and chips, an appetizer and two drinks it was $60 not well spent.

My parents love this place. Not my favourite pub though it has a cozy atmosphere and great service. The potato skins are the bomb and a small serving is enough for two.

My wife, my Mom, and I stopped by here for supper. They are definitely going through some renovations. I will say that their bathroom may seriously be the nicest in the area - seriously (no pics hahaha). Now as for the food, my curried chicken was pretty tasty, but my wife's nachos were not the best - the hamburg was bland and grey and the chips were not too fresh. My mom's french fries were not cooked but the chicken wrap was good. Not sure why the current rating is so high, but I've heard it can be a hit or miss. Miss for us - sorry.

The service and drink was fine, but the food quality is not what it used to be. I ordered the jambalaya and it had a cheap taste, almost like canned sauce and the chicken was prepared at some other time because it was luke warm. I won't be returning.

My daughter and i had fish and chips... Best haddock ever... No greasy batter... Large portions of fish... Very fresh.... Fries were also very good... Along with a very good home made gravy... The fries are made with real potatoes, sounds silly but its crazy how many restaurants serve frozen fries along with sub par fish... The Bonnie Prince served up the best fish and chips dinner.... My wife had the steak sandwich.... served on a fresh bun and a cut of steak.... My wife asked for medium rare It was perfect... Cooked to med rare... My son had the Curry Chicken over rice... Again, an outstanding meal... All meals were authentic and made really good with a very large portion.... We had cheese cake for dessert... Over all we all had a great dinner... Service was very good, Drinks were always full. Were from Ontario, when we come back this way.... We will come back to the Bonnie Prince... And always recommend this place to eat... Thanks guys Great job. Ps Prices are reasonable and very much on par with what you get...

We were visiting from out of province and this restaurant looked to be one of the better local options. The menu looked good and the ambiance reminded me of a Boston Pizza. Well the food came out and it was nothing like any of us thought it would be. The T-bone special steak I was told by 2 of my party that ordered it was paper thin and terrible. My chicken supreme sandwich tasted average, but it felt like eating a heart attack. The sweet potato fries were good though. No chance any of us would return.

Love the Bonny. It has a very good menu with daily specials. Menu includes cold and hot sandwiches, steaks, wraps, pasta, fish and salads plus a few other items. There are low calorie options as well as gluten free choices. Their spinach salad is awesome.

Terrible service. My mother ordered a fish and out of an honest mistake it turned out to be a red sauce not a white sauce. They said they couldn't do anything .... Really over a 8 dollar dish. Spoke with a supervisor and still zero customer service. For that alone avoid this place .....

Not a bad place. Steaks however were horrible. I ordered the best steak on the menu and I had to send it back. Hamburgers are not much better. On the plus side, it has a great atmosphere it is a very busy and popular spot. Staff works very hard

I buy food from here all the time, especially the deserts. The server & supervisor Holly had messsed my order up and would NOT send me new deserts and fix my order. (Mind you I got this delivered from first class delivery) I was told to call the NEXT day when the owner was in.. I wanted my stuff NOW. Nope, she insists she watched another server make my order correctly, and told me the only way they’d fix it is if I bring the deserts in. How am I going to bring them in with no car!? I took pictures AND a video for proof. Worst “supervisor” of life! Foods still great thou!!

It's ok. Stereotypical pubstyle food in a darker setting. It has been consistent ever time I've gone there but never really shows me anything new. My only complaint is that they tend to shut off the A/C intermittently that causes my whole table to sweat while eating in the summer heat.

OK experience. Found it bland in taste compared to past visits. I'll be back to review. It's usually a 5 stars all day. I'm the guy you charged for ran through twice coffee. 1 filter and coffee 2 pots... coffee is cheap and goes a long way when it's good. Charged me for dark water.... The food market is wide opened for anyone that cares about quality and service in Sydney.

Nice atmosphere, plenty of seating, service great, lots of parking, clean. Food is good but not great and the reason being it's hit and miss. Food seems to differ from day to day and I don't mean flavors just the texture of fries or hamburger. Fish would be deep fried to perfection then the next time in it's over done. Nevertheless still a good restaurant.

We go to the Bonnie on. Regular bases we enjoy going there I called to make a reservation for 18 ppl for a birthday supper first they wouldn't guarantee the room off of the main restaurant then they wanted $5 down per person and if all 18 didn't show up I wouldn't have got my deposit back for those that couldn't make it. I booked it thought about it and cancelled that was Wednesday booked and cancelled within minutes. Called Boston Pizza booked same thing not a problem they will take our money and if Montanas were open we probably would have went there because it is so close

Ribs were tough and dry, the bbq sauce tasted like bottled great value from Walmart. Mashed potatoes were cold in the middle. They offered to heat them up, but microwave potatoes were unappealing to me. Lesson learned.

Dont like the loud music playing..I like to be able to hear my conversations. Everything else is great. Waitresses are awesome , food is delish and you get a full plate. Always clean...quick to be seated if tables are available. ????

Food is good but the place has a tired look about it. If you go when it is dinner hour be prepared to wait. Unfortunately you are asked if everything is good before you have a chance to taste everything and if you do need the waiter good luck. Their deserts although not made at restaurant, are fabulous.

Bonnie gravy!!! Good quality food with a decent sized menu. They also have a dessert counter with some great cheesecakes. Dining room is always clean. The cost of your meal can get out of hand with the substitutes and add ons. $4 is too much for any of them so avoid them. The pastas are also a rip off (like most restaurants) so I'd skip those dishes as well.

The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing and the distance between us and the next table was ideal. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu and our food arrived very quickly. My husband ordered pasta and I ordered the ribs. Unfortunately the ribs were very tough, although very flavourful I had a hard time enjoying them but I've eaten here before with no problems so I can look past this one small thing. We also had coconut shrimp and mozzarella sticks and they were delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning.

I had the Bonnie Flamer, it was extremely dry. Even after adding condiments. I could barely eat half of it, the patty was gross. My fries were also cold, and only 1/3 of them had gravy on them. Not very impressed at all.

My 2 star rating is based on my only experience with getting takeout there. So take it at that. My order was fast and on time as told over the phone for 20 minutes. However, it took 16 minutes to pay for it. Yes, I timed it!. Absolutely horrible service once I got there. They made me wait for the person who took my order instead of taking my money. I stood there for 16 minutes looking at my food getting cold while the waitress came and went. Instead of helping me, she busted a table then proceeded to wait on someone else. Finally, after I said something snotty to the third person who asked me if I was waited on, they went and got the other waitresses ID so they could ring me in. Now, with that said, I had every intention of giving them 1 star. I could not bring myself to do that since the food was pretty good for being cold... wow, I bet it would have been awesome hot!

Went there with my boyfriend the other day and the food was amazing. I was only offered a drink at the beginning though because I said I'd like to wait for pop when I got my food. But overall it was good.

Had supper here with my two children. Ordered our meals and although fairly busy, got it to the table in a reasonable amount of time. With the first bite of my poutine I noticed a hair as long as my forarm intertwined with the cheese. Normally a hair in the food doesn't really throw me off too much, but this was long, dark and completely mixed with my gravy and cheese. I waited for my waitress who had disappeared and when she wasn't returning to the table or general area of my table, I got up and told one of the other waiters that I had an issue with my food. He came to the table, removed my plate, asked if I'd like another made, to which I said yes to. He said it would be "just a minute" and apologized. I said no problem..TWENTY FIVE MINUTES LATER, after my children had finished their meals, here comes my meal. I eat a chicken finger and a few mouth fulls of poutine and asked for it to be packed up as the children were waiting for me to finish. The bill comes and although I didn't raise a fuss or get annoyed with the waitress/hair as I understand these things can happen, I fully expected to have at least some sort of credit taken off the bill, dessert offered, SOMETHING as a way of apologizing for the hair and then the wait which ruined supper. But nothing. 62.00 dollars later all I got was annoyed and cold chicken fingers and poutine which I fed to my dog when I got home. Unfortunately although the food is great, I won't be back as I feel like thatamount money being spent on a meal, deserves to have one free of hair ????
