Unfortunately we didn’t get to eat at Motley Kitchen because they gave away our table. We called on our way into town (we came all the way from Skead) and they told us on the phone to make a reservation as it would be a 20 min wait. We arrived 20 minutes later and they explained it would be an hour wait. Confusing we thought, so we explained we called and made a reservation to make sure we would have a table when we arrived and we were met with the explanation of “there was a big rush, and now the wait is 1 hour, we screwed up”. So we left, they obviously don’t know how to manage reservations properly.

Been to all the breakfast /lunch and diner places in town. .. they are all kinda disappointing. But this place was 'food network' quality. Really nice plating and inventive ingredients combinations...and very delicious! It's obvious a chef made the food... not a student/line cook. Cappuccinos were extremely good. The stuffed french toast was excellent. I'd love to try more of the menu. Everything sounded really good, and it was very hard to choose. My partner only ordered eggs, bacon and toast (he was worried about trying something 'different'). He said it was good but too expensive in comparison to other places. I think he missed the point of going. You can get eggs and bacon any place... this place has something slightly different and special.

I've been going to the Motley quite frequently over three years now. I have found it to be the best culinary experience in Sudbury. The food is consistently exquisite (no matter which item is ordered), the service is friendly and professional, the prices are affordable, the wait times practically non-existent (unless the restaurant is packed) and the experience overall is simply unparalleled. Everyone who gets the chance owes it to themselves to try this restaurant out.

What a hidden city gem. Only open to capture the lunch crowd. Come early as they fill up. Reasonable prices for the above average cuisine. The Motley Kitchen catered our wedding - buffet style - for the August long weekend! Prior to, they met with us in person to determine our ideal wedding feast. Out of the many options available, we picked out some wicked appetizers, salads and main course items that allowed us to accommodate all of our guests, including the few with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free), with ease. They worked very hard to prep the meal the day of and everything turned out exceptional! The latkes, vegan sweet potato/spinach/chickpea coconut curry and the braised beef shanks were a few to name. Our guests sang high praises of our choice to have The Motley Kitchen cater our big day. We couldn't have been happier!

I’ve been here twice, both times the staff have been rude. I also made reservations with a staff member and when I showed up for our time they told us that they did not have our table. They offered us a drink to go home.. They clearly do not care about customer service, save your time and look elsewhere.

So good! We stopped in for lunch today and shared the TBA sandwich and the grilled cheese sandwich. They were both fantastic (I particularly loved how well the bacon was cooked and the crispy cheesy bits on the outside of the grilled cheese), but it was a hard choice- we'll definitely be back to try out the other menu items!

It is a nice , small , family run restaurant. The food is honest , generous , homemade and delicious. If you’re looking for something new to try then perhaps you will enjoy this place. I enjoyed the mushroom omelette with caramelized onions and yogourt.

I have been to Motley Kitchen for lunch in the past, but today, I brought my Family for Sunday Brunch. The food, atmosphere and the service was excellent. There is a very positive vibe within its wall and the staff (including the host, Micheal Yankovich) are terrific. Every member of my Family were very satisfied with the meals that they ordered. The quality of the food is exceptional and value of the money is very much in line with the quality of the food that we were served. We would highly recommend this bistro-type restaurant to anyone with discriminating taste. We will most certainly go back to visit the Motley Kitchen for brunch! A++++++++ Keep up the excellent work!

The Splotley Snitchin is a beacon of hope in an otherwise repulsive wasteland. I had the most scrumptious meal here. Pork belly with grits and a flagon of mead. It was disgusting. I loved it. When Schplitbury isn't waking you up at 5am for their weekly abductions you can find the locals down at the Kitchenie Crue getting buck wild on some delicious treats.

As a health care professional and an essential worker I was deeply worried by the lack of sanitation and that none of the staff at The Motley Kitchen in Sudbury wear gloves. The Restaurant which is basically a single room is clustered with people ( more than 25). Making it a hot spot. Most importantly the staff are rude and lack customer service skills. I will not be recommending this place. Bad experience on the whole.

I made reservations for this restaurant in the morning for 1130. I went back at 1110 and they told me that they don’t have a table for me and I would have to wait till 1 in the afternoon. Don’t make reservations with customers if you can’t keep them. We’re not going to keep driving back and forth to a restaurant who won’t deliver on their promises.

Fantastic lunch spot in downtown Sudbury. The food is often locally sourced, and made on premises. Great variety, quick service - one of my faves! Try the risotto balls - they're fantastic. And, if you're lucky enough to show up on a day when the burger is the special, well, you're going to experience what is, hands down, the best burger in Sudbury. House made bun, amazing burger, reasonable size (you won't need a nap afterward!) - just incredible flavours.

I had to travel up to Sudbury for a couple of days, and needed to host a family luncheon. I looked on the internet to find a restaurant that had a separate function room, which was hard to find, at a reasonable cost. I contacted the restaurant and Danielle was so helpful and worked with me to put together a light buffet lunch for 15 up in the private room. Eric was so accommodating for us to set up prior to our lunch. The food that we had was great. The Gluten free options were great for our party. They were also so friendly... I was very pleased as were my guests.

Visiting Sudbury recently for a family event, and I was thrilled to discover this gem of a restaurant for lunch. Thanks to other Google reviewers! Food is very tasty - they have espresso beverages for those that prefer to drip coffee - and the staff are warm and welcoming. Highly recommend the butter tart for dessert!

Absolutely exquisite. I came back to town after 4 years away and the Welsh Rarebit is just as delicious as I remember. Pairing this dish with a spicy Caesar is one of reasons I will continue coming back up here. Absolutely incredible. The service is also excellent and between the jazzy ambiance and the local paintings on display, you leave with your chin up, belly full, and ready to make the most of your weekend.

The food was amazing and they made everything vegetarian for our guests, which is exactly what we wanted. All of our guests were so impressed with the quality, from the appetizers, the salad, the mains, and of course the desert, which were all beautifully made. All of the staff were very impressive and professional doing a great job for the entire night. I love this place even though I don't go there often. The food is very unique, fresh and tastes fabulous. The owner is always busy and actively involved to try and ensure you have a great dining experience. This is not a place to go if you are in a hurry for a quick meal. First of all, Chris is very unprofessional. Did you see how he responded to a review from another customer named Aaron? What a child like response from a so called "business owner". The hole in the wall which the refer to as a 'restaurant' is pretty uncleanly and shabby. It makes profit I guess which is why it's probably still afloat. Been there a few times and all I can say is, "meh". Waiting for the unprofessional and childish response.

Fantastic weekend breakfast/brunch! Menu was awesome, maple blueberry marscapone stuffed french toast was out of this world, local challah bread was incredible. Savoury thyme mushroom and caramelized onion and cream cheese omelette was spectacular. Amazing breakfast and owner came to chat, very friendly staff and good service. Ceasar was okay, breakfast potatoes okay, but the rest excellent. Highly recommend!
