This is a great Canadian eatery, with lots of great menu items to choose from. I wouldn't so much call it a Pub however more of a Family restaurant such as a Casey's. The staff was really great to deal with and the food was really great.

This WAS our favorite place to eat.. not sure what happened but the quality of food has went way down. Was there for supper on Saturday Sept, 28/19 my daughter ordered a plain hamburg with nothing on it. Besides looking like a cheap frozen patty, it was cooked on a flat grill, only one side, and worst of all it was spoiled meat!! ah yes, the sour smell of meat that has been left out way too long. Thankfully stopped her from taking a bite as i could smell it..of course the manager "i do not smell rotten meat at all, our kitchen staff has years of experience." My wife tried a small piece and spit it out right away..That was pretty much it for an appetite. my chicken sandwich that I got was also soggy, along with some of my fries. I think they washed the lettuce and left it soaking wet and put it on the bun. We were offered a free desert, which we accepted, it was a Nanimo bar that was served upside down.. so much for "Our kitchen staff has years of experience" We normally eat here twice a month, this was the second time since the renovations that were were disappointed. Ah well, time to find a new favorite..

Adore M.I.C.! After having to do pick up for months due to Covid, dining in was a treat! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff pleasant and the food was delicious as always! The only thing I wish they had dessert coffees and a bigger dessert menu!

The staff were really accommodating for us and the fact that we had a fussy kid with us. The food was really good and I found the menu to be a real tour de force of all sorts of different foods. The prices were really decent and I felt like everyone got good value for the things that they ordered . I'd recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go back here when we're in the area again down the road.

Service is good but food is not. Hoagie sandwich was dry, spinach dip was soupy, tortillas stale and plated very messy, chicken stew had no flavour. This place used to be good five years ago. Prices comparable to Milestone's.

Always one of my favourite restaurants in Sudbury, however today above and beyond! Called to order some food with a lot of different orders in the car and some more picky than others and Matt (have to refer by name) made all of it super easy and was absolutely wonderful in a hard and busy time!

The service is always wonderful with an inviting atmosphere. The patio is the place to be throughout the summer months. A great choice for an after work cocktail. However, there are no healthy choices on the menu and no vegan/vegetarian choices to be found. Most restaurants in town have these options for the health conscious.

What a fun place to go out for dinner. I love sitting next to the fireplace. Their salmon spinach salad seemed to be missing something, and the veal with pasta had too much oil. But the poutine was a surprise win! As was the cheesecake brownie dessert.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The so called light lunch menu is pretty large portion. There is a personal TV screen with wide variety of channels to choose on some tables, but you need to ask for the remote controller to select the channels. The fireplace located in the middle of dining room complements overall pleasant dining experience.

Service was awesome. Caesar was awesome. Fish and chips, fish was undercooked and greasy, think fryer was not hot enough when fish was cooking. Chicken Parm was good but sauce was just ok. Sauce is bland. Figured we would try it while in town. They did take the fish and chips off the bill cause wife didn't eat it.

Enjoyed the ribs, very tender and fall off the bone tasty. Three ribs and fries was plenty for me or the average person. I shared an apple crumble with my friend. They put ice cream in a bowl for her because I don't eat it. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Good food. Have gotten take out from here 3 times in the last two weeks. Good food every time. However even though I have always ordered 2 hours ahead it has never been ready on time. It has been 15-30 minutes late. Still good food. Just would reccomend you set the order at least 15 minutes ahead of when you want it

We live in Burlington but were visiting to celebrate a 50th birthday and have always wanted to try M.I.C. when we have been in Sudbury. We were very pleased with our experience. Very friendly service from beginning to end. The food was amazing. From the split pea soup, fish and chips, pasta, and steak sandwich, everything was top notch. You can taste that everything is made in-house. From the tartar sauce, salad dressing, and fresh-cut fries. Will definitely return again soon.

Had a date night with the hubby, it was our first time there for the both of us. Can honestly say this is now her favorite restaurant all the food is homemade in the service was outstanding!!!! I love the fact that they use local food. The price is are reasonable. We will definitely be back!!!

I love M.I.C's! Lovely staff and atmosphere. Great portions, prices and some good quality apps. The drinks here are always phenomenal. I ordered a Ceasar here, and it not only came in a measuring cup, but it tasted fantastic!! It reminded me of one that I would have made back at home, and that's hard to achieve. Highly recommend, especially for a date! (They've also got some TV's set up at every booth and a lock box for phones - if needed)

We were just doing a pit stop in Sudbury and this place kept coming up. So glad we stopped. From google maps the outside kinda looks like a trucker stop but it really isn't. The inside is so cozy and the food was delicious! Look for all the Canada decor everywhere Also, for covid they did a great job keeping things clean and in general keeping patrons safe.

They failed to honour our reservation and placed our family in the bar area. Food was great but some orders were mixed up or forgotten. The server was new and she certainly apologized for the mistakes made so it is entirely understandable.

It is has been something of a mixed bag for us, in that there have been times when it has been good enough and several times when it has been quite poor. Our last visit has soured us significantly on M.I.C. as the service was slow, the food very slow in coming and our server didn't seem to understand that we were, by the time the food came, in something of a hurry to go. For reference, the wait was longer than 30 minutes from the time we ordered, which took some time itself, to the point our meals finally were on our table. As well, the food is nothing at all special, although reasonable and comparable to other such restaurants. We went a number of times when it first opened after its remodel and most of the food we had was overly salty; that hasn't been a problem the last few times we went. However, it is unlikely that we will ever return due to the problems with our last visit.

I'd like to start off by saying that usually when I have gotten food here it is fairly good. Today however was a different story, I ordered take out at 4pm and asked to have it ready for 5pm. Apparently you can't ask to not have red peppers on the chicken which is fine. However they cooked everything but the chicken because, apparently she couldn't reach me on the phone to ask if red peppers on the chicken would be okay because she can't remove them. So when I arrived she told me this and then goes and tells the kitchen to cook the chicken now anyway, I didn't wait to long. However when I arrived home with the meal we all noticed our food was cold, and after heating it up it was mediocre at best! I hope this is not a sign the MIC is going down hill.... I won't right you guys off yet, though I hope next time it is up to your usual exceptional standards! :)

The whole point of this place is to offer an experience drenched in Canadian culture. The food is delicious and the menu is often changing offering returning customers new things to try. Sometime a little over priced.

Will never eat here again. I ordered a caesar salad - the lettuce was iceberg, there were tomatoes that were old and wrinkled, the back bacon appeared to have come out of a tin and the croutons were soggy. If they were unable to serve a palatable salad, leave it off the menu!!!

My family and I have eaten here many times. The food is good, the prices are decent and the atmosphere is great. The kitchen is too far away from the tables... I feel bad for the servers. The service was slow but it's not really their fault. The restaurant Is not organized manner for quick service. The have a unique and vast menu, something for everyone (even the picky eaters). All and all its always a good experience. Recommended for the night out with the significant other or the family.

Don't usually do a review. Last one was a negative in Seville Spain. So happy to say that our experience at MIC was wonderful. The food absolutely fantastic. Had a special and meatloaf entrees and I was thrilled with the amount of veggies and that they were roasted. Our server, Chad, was right on. Never pushy, great suggestions. Overall 10/10 experience for me,y hubby says 9 but I'm usually the more critical. And after a very long day travelling with uhaul trailer this was a lovely surprise.

Really disappointed. Went with aunt and 2 kids, Adults meals were really overpriced. The kids fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil and the pea soup wasn't hot. Got up to use the washroom and they cleaned off our table including tossing our leftovers that we just had packed. Wouldn't go back or recommend to others. Which is too bad as my aunt had been there before and it had been good.

Went there after a camping trip on the Spanish River. Kettle Chips are amazing! The nacho version I would strongly recommend. The Whiskey Burger was the tables favourite, sounded delicious. I had he creemore burger. Could have used a bit more sauce or something else to make it less dry. I added my coleslaw and some mustard, and it was pretty tasty. Striploin was cooked rare and was great with their whiskey butter on top. All around a good stop!

Ate there several times. Food is mediocre, the pickerel was the best dish, the veal came with pasta with sauce that tasted like it came from a can. Cheese sticks and the steak have no flavour at all.

3.5 - Upbeat hostess and great service from our waitress, Tricia. Four cheese cappelletti was good. Kettle chip nachos were great; the chips themselves were extra crispy. Whisky burger was a huge disappointment; especially being served in a whisky pub. There was much more bun than meat and the bun was soggy when it was served. Thankfully the patty was juicy but there was no flavour in terms of sauce. An extra two dollars to have parmesan sprinkled and mayo drizzled on the undercooked fries was so not worth it.

Delicious food every time I've eaten there. I don't live in Sudbury but when I'm there I make a point of stopping. The inside is a nice mix of rustic Canadiana with a modern twist. Pricing is fair for the portion size and the quality is outstanding. I doubt you'll be disappinted with your visit and am confident you would go back

Quality cooked food , with the price. Really nice inside but I find there's so many tables that you need to yell at eachother just to hear eachother. Everyone's so close you could probably steal a fry of another takes plate. There's a big fire in the middle contained in a glass box, makes it SUPER toasty even in the winter. Leave your coat in the car!

This restaurant is very inviting with its open concept and choice of seating. The large windows afford a great view of what is going on outside to enhance your dining experience. The menu is versatile in that it offers up a wide variety of food fare for almost anyone's palate. I was impressed with our server's sense of timing with making sure we were well taken care of without being intrusive. A good eating experience without putting a huge dent in your wallet!

Wouldn't have taken the wait time and small portions for half the price. Came here for the first/last time on a date. Not sure if they picked up a new cook or something recently (reviews seem generally positive), but we were not impressed by the dry meat, soggy buns and all-round tastelessness. We were also left with some burning questions. Questions such as, why did our food take so long when the place was nearly empty? Why did our kettle chips taste like they had a previous life as WW2 rations? And last but not least, how much cold gravy can you put on your steak sandwich before it just becomes a gravy sandwich? Next time, we'll just go to Montana's.

Came here due to high google rating as we are not local. Ordered reuben burger. I can only say WOW. Very tasty!! Bun was pan fried with butter (i think , since it has bit of butter taste). Filling is beef patty, smoke meat, saurkraut. Size is 'normal' (not a typical oversize burger). Sauce is not too much (I still can taste the bun, the patty, meat, etc). It was perfect (size and flavour!). Service was great (the lady has been working for 12 years. Who else can be the best person to ask for food recommendation). Will definitely go back to try different menus. Thank you for the delish lunch!

Amazing!!! I had poutine (traditional), and I had the mushroom app and both were filling and DELICIOUS! For a party of 16, our waitress Tricia was outstanding! Quick, attentive, friendly, cheerful and split the bill five ways for us. Everyone's meal was fantastic and it came out surprisingly fast, especially with such a large group. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Great music at an expected volume and we could easily hear each other. If we didn't live 6 1/2 hours away we definitely would add this to our go-to list. You will not be disappointed, or hungry. (And before you go, purchase a glass or two as a souvenir!)

Not sure of the service in the restaurant but we recieved bad service over the phone. We were trying to make reservations for a birthday which the person celebrating really wanted to eat here. We were refused only because we had to many people at their liking and it was to much work which to us wouldn't make a difference if the same amount of people came in to eat in smaller pairs. Do not recomend eating here if you plan to make a reservation for a group of people.

I'm not sure why so many people have left great reviews of this place...maybe they haven't dined at good restaurants/bars, and have lower standards. I went because the reviews looked good. Big mistake. The food was not fresh, bland, over cooked and left MUCH to be desired. The restaurant itself had very tacky decor, and the tables and menus were really dirty. I disagree with everyone on the "atmosphere" - it's super outdated. My party and I all agreed that the food was disappointing but the service was good. You can always tell when a restaurant is managed well but this just doesn't seem to be the case or maybe it was an "off" day. That being said I won't be returning but the point of this review is to warn others who haven't dined here before.

We've been doing takeout during COVID and the food has been fantastic. Portion sizes are great too. Only complaint is sometimes the wait time for picking up food seems to blow past the pickup time, but that could also just be because their takeout a has been super popular. The one time I went I was served extremely slow. It took us 45 minutes to get drinks, and they even missed my drink. Another 45 minutes for food. I asked for a drink twice and a refill once, but I only ever got one drink because they simply forgot. I do not recommend. Especially on a Sunday.

First and last time ! To the right of the front door there was huge mounds of cigarette butts without a disposal container. A server came out while we where walking in took a fee puffs and flicked her but in the parking lot. Blowing her cigarette exhale all over us as we entered. She went right back to tae.she was serving without washing her hands. The food was boring and the servers treated us luke we where inconveniencing them by wanted to place our order. The restaurant was lot busy and it lacked cleanliness. The floors , tables, Windows where filthy. No pride in ownership at this reataurant. Maybe new manageme t and staff that take pride in their work would be helpful
