(Original) Au départ, le premier contact avec Mme Coulombe (qui n'y travaille plus désormais) était tout à fait sensationnel. À l'écoute, soucieuse de nos préoccupations, elle nous avait charmés sans hésitation. C'est par ailleurs grâce à elle que nous avions choisi La Distinction. Suite au départ de Mme Coulombe, nous avions été accueillis par Mme Dupuis, qui offrait un service différent. Au début, nous avions l'impression qu'elle était plutôt soucieuse de la vente et non de nos désirs. Toutefois, par la suite, plus les rencontres se multipliaient et que la date de notre mariage approchait, elle devenait davantage attentionnée et à l'écoute de nos besoins et de notre budget. Mme Dupuis a donc, par la suite et à notre plus grand bonheur, répondu à plusieurs de nos attentes. Quant au repas, celui-ci était excellent et le choix du méchoui a fait le bonheur de nos invités qui aimaient l'agneau (d'autres choix pouvaient également être offerts). Nous avions également retenu les services d'un caricaturiste qui a charmé les invités qui en ont fait usage. Par ailleurs, nous craignions que le volume de la musique ne soit pas suffisamment fort, vu le règlement municipal, mais les nouvelles installations de haut-parleurs ont fait en sorte que nous avions une bonne qualité sonore. Seul bémol qui m'empêche de donner la note parfaite : nous avions dû changer l'heure de la cérémonie alors que nous avions des motifs raisonnables d'exiger la cérémonie à l'heure qui était convenue au départ avec Mme Coulombe. En somme, si vous souhaitez être charmé par la beauté du décor (une cérémonie sur une île, un cocktail à l'entrée du chapiteau avec vu sur l'île et les autres installations du site, ainsi qu'une réception sous un magnifique chapiteau), si vous souhaitez avoir un service courtois et professionnel de la part des serveurs et serveuses, de la bonne nourriture et une équipe qui souhaite la réussite de votre journée, je recommande La Distinction.

I had my wedding at La Distinction! At first I was worried about there being other ceremonies taking place at different parts of the venue, but we ended up having all the privacy we needed. The staff did a really great job taking care of us. Jean-Francois was an amazing Maitre D' and was great at helping us coordinate on the day of. Also, the DJ's provided by the venue are some of the friendliest professionals I've ever met - take them as part of the package and you absolutely won't regret it.

Instead of the 4 services that was planned, we were rather entitled to a 3 services because the dessert had been missed by the Chef. So we were served the wedding cake as a dessert. The amount of meal offered is very minimal compared to those tasted when booking, which incidentally is paid (at a cost of $ 65.00). Some main course vegetables were not cooked, especially carrots. This is a great disappointment for all the guests who have been invited. The hors d'oeuvres served and inscribed on the Menu were pitiful as they were small and some were not served. All in all, we are convinced that it is not a Chef who cooked our meals at this wedding. We sincerely regret choosing this place, all at a cost of $ 20,000. That said, there are some positive aspects: the animation provided by La Distinction is remarkable, the animator is dynamic and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The scenery is beautiful the lake is very beautiful. The staff is very friendly. (Original) Probablement l'une des pires salles de réception à sélectionner pour un mariage. L'organisation est déficiente et les repas sont décevants. Au lieu du 4 services qui était prévu, nous avons plutôt eu droit à un 3 services car le déssert avait été manqué par le Chef. On nous a donc servi le gâteau de Mariage en guise de déssert. La quantité de repas offerte est très minime comparativement à ceux goûtés lors de la réservation, qui soit dit en passant est payante (au coût de 65.00$). Certains légumes du Plat Principal n'étaient pas cuits, les carottes notamment. C'est une Grande Déception pour tous les invités y ayant été conviés. Les hors d'oeuvres servis et inscrits au Menu faisaient pitié tant ils étaient petits et certains n'ont pas été servis. Tout compte fait, nous sommes convaincus que ce n'est pas un Chef qui a cuisiné nos repas lors de ce mariage. Nous regrettons sincèrement d'avoir choisi cet endroit, tout cela au coût de 20 000$. Cela dit, il y a quelques côtés positifs : l'animation fournie par La Distinction est remarquable, l'animateur est dynamique et l'ambiance fût très agréable. Le paysage est magnifique le lac est très beau. Le personnel est très chaleureux.
