Very disappointed. Will not return. We went there for dinner and I ordered a cheeseburger and poutine. The burger was so small I could hardly taste the meat. As for the poutine if that's what it was, the fries tasted like day old ones with something they called gravy and a few slivers of cheese. For my money I could've went elsewhere and got a much better meal ????????

We had our 2014 staff Christmas party at the Hi-Way Restaurant. The chief is Greek, so we asked for whatever Greek food the chief recommended. The food was was excellent and Jim surprised us with a couple of dishes that were not on the menu! It tasted as good as or better than food I ate when in Greece on holiday. Service was excellent too.

Not sure how this restaraunt is voted the best famaily restaurant of 2018... most places for breakfast have jams on the table..here they charge an extra 35 cents for jam...sausages have an odd taste to them.

They make the best steak and French onion soup. All the food is homemade and delicious. The fish and chips are great. It is a homey atmosphere and very friendly staff. If you're lucky the chef will come out and talk to you and see if you were satisfied with your meal. Great experience and food every time we go.

That was the worst food I have ever had. Our bill was $30.00. With a cheeseburger, mozza sticks that came with salsa dip and ranch. Liver and onions, the liver was half pink. The waitress told me I should have asked for it well done, although liver should NEVER be pink. We didn't even finish our meals due to the unsatisfactory. Deffinetly never going back to this Restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone!

A must visit if you're visiting Simcoe. This is a home cooked style eatery with amazing food and large portions. The Hi-Way is one of those classic family owned restaurants rather than just another franchise. With a Greek touch and a big menu, their food will please anyone's taste, unless you're looking for mexican or pizza. I don't think they ever done tacos or burritos. But if they did, I'm sure Jim and his staff would make great ones. The staff are friendly and courteous and always have good suggestions if you're stuck deciding.

I've always had great food when eating here. The only thing is the dated decor but I guess that's what the restaurant is going for. The service is usually nice and friendly. I also like the fact that they let you slightly alter your meal if there's something you may not be able to eat, which some restaurants these days don't like doing. We've found that making a reservation is usually a good idea, especially during the hours that typically tend to be a little busier.
