Today I ordered a Mutton Biryani tray for $55 (came out to be $69.49 after Tax and other charges). The tray was filled with only rice and barely any meat. Whatever little meat we got were mostly bones. Though rice tasted okay but we were very very disappointed at the lack of meat. The food is worth at most $20. Its not fair at all for them to charge $55 for a tray filled with rice. Overall the experience was extremely bad and I will never recommend Silver Spoon to anyone. I would give them a negative rating if I could..

One of the best biryani stores. I love pakistani food especially biryanis. Good selection of meat curries. Customer service is ok...dont like it when you ask something and they dont respond properly. But i like the food alot. They make it the same everytime we buy it. I would recommend this place for catering as well. Jan 28th 2019 :- ordered catering from this place for my sons bday party for about 100 people. The food was really good and everyone is still talking about it today. We ordered from their catering package good deal and choices. The only problem we had was when we went to pickup the food the staff didnt know what was going on or where and what the order was, so their customer service was very poorly managed. Please make sure there is proper communication because it was very disrecpectful from the staffs end as we are paying you for the food and the service. Remember if the service is not good customers will not return! But your food tastes good thats why we will still return.

Thing to remember is that every Silver spoon restaurant is individually owned and operated therefore recipes, service, quality and hygiene standard may differ from restaurant to resultant. This Place is ok and service can be improved. It is just another desi restaurant with an attitude - I find it hard to understand why the Desi restaurants have an attitude problem but that is another story. I ordered over $400.00 worth of food last week and was very disappointed that the kababs tray was without salad and the Nahari tray was without traditional ginger and green pepper, etc. All the curry dishes had more oil or fat then required or necessary. The nan breads and Biryani was ok. Desi restaurants need to learn how to pack the takeaway curry based dishes so they can not spill on you or in the cars - Plastic/paper wrapping to sealed the tray is one way. In spite of this review, I will visit this place again

I come here for the cheap biryani. I dunno why but I like the taste and can't stop having it. Rest of the stuff is also pretty good like paneer wishes, goat curry, chicken curry. The price is fine and below average for Biyani and average for other stuff. Be sure to come early i.e. before 3:30 pm to get the biryani cz it's very famous and gets sold out pretty fast.

This place used to be good, but it is going downhill.. real fast.. Bought some Behari Chicken yesterday...absolutely stale and cold... even though it was supposedly sitting on hot water, it was frozen cold...like it was just taken out of the freezer and wasn't even microwaved properly... it was the same way the last time too a few months back.. yes.. so forget FRESH.. the food is not even warmed properly by these guys.. and the Biryani... definitely not fit for human consumption (don't feed it ro birds either... IT WILL KILL THEM)... Needless to say... my last visit to this place was yesterday... Saturday Aug 28, 2021.

Good option for meat /chicken based dinners. Biryani is their specialty and you won't be disappointed. I love the mutton biryani usually available on Fridays. Wont bother buying vegetarian food though.most of the veggie preparations are swimming in oil and there are better options in the 'hoods' where most of the branches are.

Their Angara and Behari chicken are the best for starters, must try! Vegetable samosa is also amazing. Very affordable options and so many varieties to choose from. The taste is so consistent every time. Almost a monthly once ritual for my friends and I to have take out from them.

My wife called this place to order a few naans as I was driving by the area and had haleem from last night. The person over the phone seemed like he didn’t want to take our order and insisted we come into the place to order. I was going to go somewhere else to get my naan at the point but my wife insisted me to drop by which wasted about 14 minutes of my time waiting in the parking lot. Had the person taken my order, it would have been much more efficient. The naans I got were well done slightly on the burnt end, but the lady in the front was kind to replace them. Perhaps they should have given my wife proper naans that weren’t burned so she didn’t have to come back into the restaurant to ask for a replacement. I may try this place in the future, but not anytime soon. I usually go to Namak Handi in Pickering and they have amazing food. I highly recommend you check out there food if you’re in the area. Honestly I would have given silver spoon a 2-3 star just for giving my wife burnt naans but I don’t feel like it’s necessary to lower their google writing but instead I hope they take this as a learning experience to better their order taking process and not do this next time. Simply I can take my business elsewhere worst case and that would mean one less customer for Silver Spoon.

All of them were hospitable, respectful and efficient. Ridya was very cooperative, patient and diligent. She took her time to explain everything and walk me through different choices for catering. Needless to say, I breathed a sigh of relief! The owner, Jamal and Masoor, were truly leaders and mavens. They have hired people like Ridya who are serving customers with grace, diligence and utmost care. Ridya and her team went an extra mile to accommodate every customer. Jamal, Mansoor and Ridya were picture-perfect and their food was delicious, delightful and scrumptious. Silverspoon Scarborough stands head and shoulder above the competition. I would highly recommend it. Thank you very much, Silverspoon Scarborough especially Jamal, Mansoor and Ridya.

Halal South Asian catering store offering a variety of rice, meat, and vegetarian dishes including biryani, kansans, fish, and curries. Takeout only but you can order ahead and they do big party platters as well. Prices are good but food lacks flavour. Sheekh kababs have something mixed into the meat making the texture really odd and not beefy. The Silverspoon at Warden and Vic Park areas definitely much better.

They are the best. You must try their veal polao. They serve this only on Friday Saturday and Sunday only. I noticed recently they are not making this like before. If you go later in the day, they are finished. I had to come back empty handed twice when I went there after 5.

I surely do love their Food but, the customer service is terrible. I ordered through UBER, A goat biryani. They gave me the call and said they have nothing available at the moment. I compromised with a curry instead and there was 3$ difference because goat biryani costs 13$ and curry around 10$. According to guy named “Asif” they had nothing around that price. They don’t care people connect food with emotion and like to eat what they want and according to their option availability is on Uber it was there. I compromised my one dine and he didn’t even felt sorry and nothing. Man you can compliment an sweet dish with it. But instead he just sent curry. Rest money is in his pocket. Wow, what a great service guys. You guys really need a good training on Customer service experience. No business can last without it.

We normally visit this location and prefer it over the others but we had a very bad experience last few times. The server man purposely gave us only gravy in out curries and a couple of pieces of meat that too jusy bones. We had ordered large curries and with both curries it was the same deal. The quality of food has also reduced significantly. Not only that we had requested a lamb biryani, the server said they were out when the customer after asked he was able to purchase one even though they were "out". When asked he claimed it was a pre order. Which is untrue since he had just come in and asked what they have available. Will make sure to let all of our friends and family who are regulars at this location know of these ordeal and dine elsewhere. Most likely won't be visiting here again. Horrible experience and severe decline in quality of food! Very disappointed!

Very surprised to see this place has no support for its customer During COVID. If you like the food you stand on the line with many people. 5 person limit marked on the door though people keep coming in. To get an item you need to wait minimum 10 to 15 minute. Don’t understand why this place take telephone order and let people pick up and leave without affecting or making contact each one. Or keep few more staff to speed up the service. Inspection is highly recommended

People need to relax about the Long lines and service. First off this place is a takeout place with cheap quality food. So there will many people coming here for takeout. I used to go regularly before even had catering done few times. Always had fairly decent experience. Now very recently not sure if cook changed or mgmt changed, food is not tasty anymore. One of my favorite used to be bihari chicken. Few years back people at the counter knew why I was there. Now for the past few times and now today, it seems bihari chicken is completely tasteless. Not sure how long this can go on. In past, I gave them high ratings but changing my ratings now.

The Sheppard location is probably the only genuine one since the Warden 401 location has been taken over by different management who have kinda ruined the flavour and quality. So this location offers really unique flavour for biryani- with chicken, veal and lamb variety. Normally there is hardly any wait time and they offer variety of fish kebabs and other curry items. Wish they had sitting area but they don't. So only take out, order ahead or drop by. Normally the staff is quick to take order and prep so no wait times

I got Sindhi Biryani from there, which I thought tasted good, but there was hardly any meat, price was higher compared to other places such as Student's Biryani (best Biryani in GTA). Poor maintence and customer service I went there recently to get food after long time, the lady put the straw on top of the front desk that's when I noticed that inbetween the glass and front door and cool drinks is DIRTY as shown in the picture. I would never recommend this place , because they're not clean and it's covid-19. I go here often many times a week. The customer service is disgusting, they give importance to men over females. The limit is 5 but they stop females from going in but not males. They rush you and the slim girl with a ponytail is very rude has too much attitude and seems miserable. Treats females badly but smiles while serving males. Terrible!

I ate almost half of my kabab wrap and then realized that one of the skewers was totally raw! And same thing with some fish pieces! How hard is it to cook the food? The staff are impatient and the food was inedible. One of the guy was extremely rude to me because I took a little "too long" to order from their menu. My favorite biryani place this side down of town. Love their mutton biryani. Veal not so much. It's flavorful and not overly spicy. If you're looking for spice, the chicken biryani maybe a better fit. They accidentally provided me with veal biryani on one occasion. Exchanged it with mutton, no questions asked when I went back to them. Since then I always make it a point to double check at the cash counter. I still go there whenever I need my biryani fix! Their lahori fish tikka is good. I would avoid their curries - flavorful but too much oil and small portions. Their veg biryani is essentially some veg curry on top of biryani rice - can totally skip that. Need to try their sindhi biryani sometime. I am taking food from this location for over 15 years. There is no consistency of quality. Its good certain times and terrible most of the times. Pre packed sindhi biryani is the biggest disappointment. Most of the times, there are only two drum sticks. Not even two pieces of full leg, that is one drum stick and one thigh. Not sure what they do with all the thighs and charge nine dollars for two drum sticks.

I have been getting food regularly from this place for the past 7+ years. I must say that quality of the food is good and remained constant over the years. Service could be improved, but its not as bad as it mentioned in some of the reviews. One time, I also had good experience with ordering and delivering Gold catering package for a small home party. I prefer to go to store, order, and pick up the food myself, and it worked very well so far. My favourites are Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Popcorn Chicken, Finger Fish, and Grilled Fish. I also like 5 items combo for two people - chicken biryani, naan, lamb curry, 4 pcs of pop corn chicken, two spring roles. Overall, it’s a nice place for Pakistan/India food.

We ordered dinner for the first Iftar yesterday. We were disappointed that the chicken karahi had gone bad by time it was delivered to us. The biryani was so over powered by cloves that we could not tell if it was chicken or veal. The fried fish was very greasy and over battered. When we called to just let them know they refused to even Acknowledge our feedback. I will not be going back. They clearly don’t care for our business because they have to much while other restaurants are struggling to just survive. Food 1/10 Customer service 0/10

Being the first customer, service was quite slow. An employee went for a quick run to the nearby Tim's while smoking a cigarette on the way and littering. Another employee came late, both ground air conditioners are dirty and the restaurant was late in opening. These issues need to be resolved in order to speed up the process with service efficiency. This includes food delivery service. Money saved can be used to improve service operations including installing energy savings bulbs which costs more, but the energy savings at the end is well worth the investment.

Rishmi kebab wrap and Angara chicken wrap were both amazing. Great flavour as well as portion. We also ordered Biryani rice with lollipop chicken and Angara chicken. This was the daily special and so worth it even as leftovers the next day. Amazing portion for the price First time trying Angara chicken and loved it. Very quick service with covid protocols in place.

Great food. But be careful as management dose not enforce socially distancing practices. Customers jumping the line is no concern for the employees who aren't affected. Pick ups are always a difficult process when the midday shift is there. There is this close mindedness to the employees that's seem to feel as though they are there for you but cant help you with the problems they create for their customers. Please revisit your approach to helping your customers. This isn't a cultural problem as many other reviews have stated amd been removed. This is a simple human inability to do better because they cannot be bothered. This is customer service please learn to be better ;)

We bought seekh kabab both chicken and beef. Bihari boti, finger fish, lahori fish and another fish. Food taste is very good. We always buy from this restaurant because of freshness and good taste. Try to park on the back side as it is very busy on the front side of the restaurant since there are lot of other restaurants. You can order on the phone and pick it up and that would save a lot of time.

The worst experience of my life. I went all the way from east york to get kachori bhaji (which i saw on their FB page as a new addition and which is ramadan special) and that wasn't available and i was informed by the storefront guy that they don't make it in Ramadan. I asked for pakora's and that wasn't available. I asked for shami bun kebab and that was also not available. All i could get was veg samosa that was undercooked and tastes awful.

The food was really nice. The fried fish was awesome. Crispy on the outside and the fish was flaky and moist inside. Also ordered the chicken and veal biryani. The chicken was really spicy and if you want a little bit milder flavour, I would recommend the veal. Also had the okra curry, which I thought was on point. The okra had that chewy texture on the inside with that little bit of pressure needed to break the outer layer, which is how I like it. Even mixed with the curry, it was still nicely textured. Great job!

We are fans of Sindhi Chicken biryani. Have had it tons of times, and shall be having it tons more! The veal and chicken biryanis are great too. However the Sindhi biryani has potatoes and the tastes like home. Its extremely close to the type of daigi biryani found in Pakistan.

We picked up our order for 3 chicken biryanis, 3 reshmi kebobs, 1 Lahori fish, 1 lollipop chicken this afternoon around 2:45pm-3:00pm (April 16,2021).$92.57 total through ritual- if I could attach a pic here from my phone I would but currently can’t figure out that. Thier “biryani” rice is listed separately for $4.99, and their chicken biryani rice is listed as $8.99- so that it would be understood that the chicken biryani would have at least 2 pcs of chicken per order (of three). We live in Newmarket so we picked up in the afternoon for our iftaar tonight. We just opened the food moments before sunset - and not a single pc of chicken in our rice; and the rice was stale rice - dry and definitely old rice- was not made fresh at all and we threw it out. it is very shameful for a business that sells halal food, a so called “Pakistani Muslim” business, to con its fasting customer in Ramadan. Very very disappointed. Tried calling them but they are not picking up- I will be calling tomorrow.

I brought my Indian boyfriend who has very high standards for Indian food here and he LOVED it. Price was amazing for the quantity of food that you get. The lamb biryani was great and the palak paneer was also good and they did not cheap out on paneer like other places. When we got there, there was a line around the building in -20°C weather. We waited for 15 mins outside and even though it was so cold, it was worth the wait!!!

The front lady is probably the most unhappiest person I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t thank you, greet you, or give any gratitude, just gives off a demeanor as if she hates her life. Also, while eating I found a dead wasp in the food. So yeah, avoid this place if you don’t want to deal with people that have zero customer service skills and eat insects with your food.

I really wanted to take 2 stars off due to the poor customer service in general but the food is awesome, so It'd be unfair to give 3 star imo. First of all, this is my first time visiting this place and of course I have to take a look at what do they offer. But instead of recommending anything they rush you to place order. Secondly it is somehow quite noisy inside , plus all the plastic shields and mask just made it harder to communicate. The staff didn't even try to sound a little louder and clear, instead she kept talking to other guys when I was trying to tell her what I wanted. Then guess what, she completely forgot what I said and had to ask one more time and still managed to miss one of my orders. It is just not a pleasant experience ordering food in this place but still worth to try as the food is fresh and tasty.

I ordered a boneless chicken wrap and a veal biryani, the wrap appeared to be just a regular tandoori chicken drenched in some mayo based dressing, scanty lettuce wrapped in a bread which resembled a naan and was chewy as a piece of rubber - felt like being left out since a long time. The Biryani was appalling, flavourless and overdone with whole spices, the meat was chewy and hastily processed. I dont expect the food quality to be at its peak after an hours drive and a reheat in a microwave, but it still was appalling, the wrap was consumed on the spot and it was still an exercise for my jaws. Prices are really low, but food quality can surely be better without a compromise.

My second time worst experience with Silver Spoon. I thought I would give it a second chance after a couple years in a situation with no alternative and I was once again let down. The wait time was ridiculously long, and customer service was horrible. I ordered Butter Chicken and noticed it was white in colour and the curry was diluted with water and tasted nothing like butter chicken curry. The chicken biryani I ordered was not cooked and basically dry white rice with boiled pieces of chicken. Food prices have inflated but the quality and service has only declined. It's a real shame even after almost 4 years I am unable to find any satisfaction with them. Horrible.

This is my fav place for food. The facilities are clean along with the food display. The food is tasty and I make it a weekly habit of picking up food on Friday and Saturday. I come here very often when im craving for some Pakistani food and have tried a lot of their food. My favorite is their butter chicken with Naan or their chicken biryani. The latter is quite good value that so many people were ordering them while I was waiting for my order. They were ordering the huge family size portion as well. The portion size is quite generous as well so I'm not surprised that this is their most popular item. I also ordered a Tika masala to try but I found it to be too greasy. The biryani is definitely the winner.
