I really did enjoy this place a few times usually order take out from here , have had some good pizza and ribs from here and never had to complain. Until now..! last night , me and my girlfriend decided to order from here and we ordered #2 combo ( dry ribs , Greek salad & cheese toast with honey garlic dipping sauce ). Just to share for a late snack.I paid $17.00 for this meal and was totally unsatisfied.. at first the dry ribs were warm at the top of the tray but then as we started eating more towards the middle and bottom.. every dry rib was cold I didn't think anything of it but was starting to worry. Like what if we get sick so we stopped eating them. Salad was amazing.. but the dry ribs made us so sick.. after about 30 minutes me and her were feeling nauseated and severely hot. It turns out we got food poisoning all night I was having to run to the bathroom and same with her. I wanted to call the restaurant to complain. Though I've heard stories where these people have called them to complain but they turn out giving a negative response or just simply hang up on you so I didn't bother. Though I'm warning people do not order dry ribs or if you do please check them before paying for them because I ended up sick horribly sick. Just don't want this to happen to anyone else what a waste of money !! Very disappointed.

Nice 50% deal on pizza, take out on Wednesdays only. The meat is cut too thick so that makes it feel like rubber but the sauce and crust is good, adequate amount of toppings. Please get a better meat slicer and I'll order more pizzas!

Place is gloomy, we were the only ones there at 8pm. Something non edible in my fries (possibly plastic). Had to re order my order, I wanted the chicken Kiev with mashed potatoes and they ran out of “chicken Kiev” and ran out of soup, and the pop was watered down.

This review is specifically just for take out. I love the dry ribs from this place but last I placed an order for pickup, I got home and opened my order and it was just this little bit-size riblets that was not crispy at all(more soggy). It used to be cut a bit bigger and was made crispier. The wings that I got though was nice and crisp and cooked to perfection. The people at the till that I dealt with was very nice!

Isn't what it used to be had there popular dry ribs and ceasar. dry ribs half the size and tge ceasar salad was swimming in dressing. ordered a ceasar and it has a full wedge of lime and lemon squeezed in to it. one of the worst I've ever had. Used to be a go to but don't be back

I've tried there take out 3 times of chicken fingers and dry ribs, I can never finish the dry ribs as they are mushy and fatty some undercooked that's most of the time one time it was extra extra crispy when requested it be cooked well.

This was a great evening of dining at a unique and historic railway station. We were warmly greeted by the staff. The menu had a lot of variety. The Greek souvlaki that I ordered was prepared and presented perfectly. Price was moderate but not high. This place is highly recommended.

We went to Tomas the Cook for lunch. We were the only customers in the restaurant when we got there. It took a few minutes to get our drinks (water with lemon). The food was good. They serve huge portions. Sadly, they no longer offer cheese-toast). The owner came to check on a which I thought was a nice touch.

This is the very best restaurant in Saskatoon! We were there this evening - served by Brent - he is the nicest and the best server in the restaurant business!! I had the best Chicken Fingers ever - the fries were perfect - the Chicken was done to perfection - my husband said his Lasagna was the best he has ever had! So - I thank first and foremost - the Chef who made our Dinner ! The service was perfect, the price was great - and chances are that this will be our first choice of Restaurants in our city!! We ordered 2 rib specials for delivery last night. It was honestly one of the worst meals I have ever eaten and a thoroughly disapointing experience. My order came with cheesy bread, tossed salad, tomato macaroni soup, steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and bbq ribs. The veggies were clearly just a frozen mix that was boiled to mush. No seasoning or salt or anything. The mashed potatoes tasted like they had been burned, then mixed into a new batch or something.. I'm not even sure how they could be so bad, but they were totally inedible. I ordered gravy with mine, and even that couldn't mask the burned/old potato taste. The soup was watery and tasted like just a powdered mix. That went straight in the garbage. The ribs were tough and not cooked very well, but were edible. The best part of the meal was probably the tossed salad, because they couldn't find a way to ruin iceberg lettuce. This restaurant is a clear case of the owners trying to make a buck by cutting corners and providing horrible food to unknowing customers who are willing to pay a reasonable price for what should be a reasonable meal. 100% will never eat here again and recommend everyone else avoid it.

Excellent service! Garlic bread needed a little more toasting time. Lasagna with meat sauce was good. And good size portion. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly but the meatballs tasted boxed and there was a lot of water in the bowl. Overall it was still a good meal

Not sure where to start on the poor reviews. Most of our meals were wrong. No drink orders were taken. Never got my salad till I asked after the meal showed up. Improper sauce on my daughters pasta. Forgot the whole side dish on the wife's food. They subtracted my daughter's meal but it did not make up for the rest of the mistakes. Don't think I will be going back soon.

We came in to the city tonight and remembered years ago the exceptional food and service we once had here. I ordered Greek back ribs ( they were old pork side ribs ) and my wife ordered chicken asparagus with cheese and she got a slab of fried chicken breast . When o confronted the waitress she looked at me like we didn’t know what we were talking about. Also the menu gives you a choice of cheese bread or garlic bread with each meal, so we ordered cheese bread and when we asked for cheese bread they said sorry we are out but you can pay $2.00 more per slice and we can make it for you. I will never be back again . Not the Thomas cook I was accustomed too.

I got the plater 3 ranch and dill sauce the first thing I see when they bring the food is a black strain of hair in the ranch sauce. They I asked for a new one and got it luckily no hair I tasted the dry ribs and they were so greasy and not good at all not even warm maybe a bit over room temp.and some of the calamari was not fully cooked chicken strips were ok if that not hot or fresh. I heard good stuff about the dry ribs they must've got a new cook or just cheap out now...

I am a regular customer i order wings here for pick up 2-3 times a week but not after tonight i ordered my usual hot and buffalo first the the waitress tried to charge me $7 above reg price i got home to find buffalo and teriyaki so i call told them they mixed up went back to get the hot order and get them to my vehicle check and it was buffalo not hot so i had to go back in again finally get them to make hot after all this the manager finally comes not even an apology from him or anyone for all the screwups wow poor customer service

This is a great place to go with the family or for a business meeting, you can go to the bar on the other side to relax and order from their extensive menu including pizza and kids size to extra large meals definetly would recommend. I had a good breakfast. I ordered extra egg and toast. I got the impression that the cook would be more comfortable making ribs or potatoes and that kind of thing but it did a very good job on the breakfast. The server was amazing. So bad! I ordered today and what I got was embarrassing. I got the half chicken finger half dry rib combo. I got 3 chicken nuggets, not even close to anything that could be called a chicken finger. I also ordered and extra piece of cheese toast (so I got 2 total). They were both simply wonder bread and one was garlic toast and the other was the wonder bread with a piece of sliced cheese on it (you could see how square it was). The salad was only lettuce. The ribs were ok. All in all it was terrible, this restaurant has gone so far down hill it’s not even funny. Used to be so good and now every has gotten so bad. Cheese toast is not simply a piece of basic white bread and a kraft single in it. What a joke.

Went there for lunch with my family, the waitress brought us water to start. As we started to drink from our cups we noticed lipstick on 4 out the 5 glasses. This disgusted us all. Then we had soup Wich was luke warm at best. by the time the main course arrived we were turned off by The food. It was not good at all. We were all disappointed and will never return.

Don't waste your time or money at this place. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu which was on special for 17.99 from 19.99. Appeared to be processed chicken. Inside was a piece of low quality ham and cheese which oozed out as a liquid when I cut into it. Tasted similar to the ones you buy from a grocery store and come in a box.

They were in charge of catering the canada day pancake breakfast at diefenbaker....they ran out of syrup and butter and eggs and drinks but they still charged full price... 9 dollars for adult and 5 dollars for kids. They didn't tell anyone they were out of the items til they had already paid.

That said, when I was there, the concern I had was that everyone was sitting in a designated area..... and this wouldn't be so bad, but my thinking is that for the amount of people there was, they should have opened up another dining room area

My mom picked up some dry ribs for me because I'm in the hospital they were the most disgusting dry ribs have ever had from tomas the cook salty Beyond saturated it was very clear that the deep fryer wasn't turned on properly and when my mom phone to say something they didn't do anything they just hung up on her I will never come to this restaurant or any other Thomas Cook ever again in my life you have lost my business and my family is business and we were dedicated patrons. And last time I was there in the lounge it was sure nice to have all these meth dealers asking me if I want to buy their stuff

The bartender was late for work and seemed very rude. Waited for the open but wasn't even worth it because the atm was out of service. So I gave her my ID anyways for no service. She was hard up for my ID and it was very poor customer service. Also had to ask the the till person for an iced tea when I went for breakfast in the restaurant prior to that because I wasn't served right away.

The soup was delicious, but as we were eating, a bug ran across the table. We swiped it off, assumed it was a maple bug, and continued eating. Saw it again on the wall as we were about to leave... definitely not a maple bug. Googled it once we got in the car, and it was a cockroach. Food was good, but will not be back. Aside from the odd time forgetting a detail etc this location has been quite precise. They've even given me free 2 litres to make up for their mistakes at times. Aside from that, it's a nice clean location inside and the food is priced both fairly as well as it is consistently very good. I definitely recommend this location for anyone in a hurry (they're fast) right down to families who need a good meal for a good price.

My only complaint was that my calamari seemed like it had been frozen before being cooked. It could have been fresher, but my Greek salad was quite good. The rest of our meals were really good, especially the cheese toast. We had great service, and the restaurant was clean. Prices were decent. It's quite large inside so Saturday lunch we had no one around us for the majority of our meal.

Ordered 2 different pizzas and some cheese sticks from these guys tonight, NEVER AGAIN! Both pizzas were flattened and indented like something had fallen on them (even tho the boxes were fine,) all 3 tasted very doughy like they were NOT fully cooked and the peices fell apart as soon as you tried to pick them up (definitely NOT fully cooked!) Tasted like uncooked dough. No sauce or napkins either. When tried to call the restaurant to complain, was told the manager would call us back, HE NEVER DID! Not recommending this place to ANYONE and we will NEVER be back. Huge waste of money! Negative stars!

I'm surprised. I've been there about 100 times over the last 25 years and have never had poor service or poor food. Breakfast is always standout and ribs and steaks are consistently wonderful. Weekend evenings Jimmy serves cherry whiskey and everyone is happy.

Food showed up after an hour and a half cold soggy and gross. So I called and talked with one of the hostesses. I explained the situation and was told that my name was put down for a full credit towards the mishap. Called back the following day to receive my credit, to be told by the night manager Aamer, that he cannot find my name and that he will not give me my credit for the amount $38.56. This made me feel as though I was trying to scam food. We've been long time customers of Tomas the cook which started at the 8th st location, where we established a very good relationship with the Tomas' whom would go out of their way to accommodate us to the point where we felt like family. Way to go idylwild location you have now set the new standard for the Tomas family. We will not be returning to your restaurant and will defer any friends or family due to this poor experience. If I could give you no stars on this rating I definitely would. Two thumbs down to Aamer !

My experience with Thomas Cook was amazing! I attended a wedding in the city the weekend of August 25. Being from out of town your restaurant came recommended by a hotel up the street. Although my order was for take out and I'm a huge pizza guy. In all honesty it was by far the best tasting pizza i ever had. Made with fresh ingredients. Im not sure what they do with the cheese but it was fresh and tasty. And the server lady was very friendly

Ordered the 18 ounce t-bone, medium rare. Got it well done. My wife ordered the pork cutlets, virtually unedible, four bites than pushed off to the side. We were a group of 16 people, so after we got served our meal, we never saw our waitress again till it was time to get the bill. At best, Appetizer place only, in my opinion.

I came in with my family on Wednesday night. My kids were nuts that day as they were sick of being in the suv since afterschool and we got there around 730. My 2 year old is autistic my 1 year old was having a fit and my older ones were all talking at once. A nightmare for any server, but not ours. She was kind, patient, funny, and served is a manner that made me and my family feel very welcome. She was a god send and Im not even kidding. Whoever she was she is truely the best in her feild, don't lose her. Also the food was well cooked and everyone left happy.

Awesome food always our family get together place ~ great waitresses in the restaurant! Such a great place with great prices! However the day waitress in the bar? IDK short lil woman? She is katty and gives dirty looks if we challenge her! We stuck up for ourselves. Okay honey we usually always come here to eat and have a few drinks! We are not ur regular patrons you yell at to get out! So please as paying customers dont assume we are ur typical local yolkles!! We have spent quite a few bucks socializing here and always tip exceptionally well. However being judged, alienated and mistaken for sombody we are not? Yeah we left and have not returned! NO TIP FOR YOU!

We ordered the dry ribs and lasagna for pick up.when we got home,we found the dry ribs were over cooked.most of them you couldn't put a fork into.about 1/3 of the ribs are about the size of my thumb nail.lasagna was dry and not a lot of sauce in it.the only good thing we has was the Greek salad.we haven't ordered from there for years and DEFINITLY will not be ordering again

Awesome! It had been quite a while since I'd been here last and it hasn't missed a beat. The service was great and speedy and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were very large with enough food left over for me to bring home for another meal.

I honestly can say that this was the worse pizza I have ever had. I was so disappointed. The cheese was hard and the pizza was cold when I received it. It did not have much cheese on it so just fell to pieces when eating it. I wish I would of orders from TJs or Family pizza that would of been 100% better. Would not recommend pizza from here at all.????

I ordered from her last night and everything was good except the chicken fingers, I was really disappointed when I bit into them and they were processed chicken meat, like nuggets. They never used to be like that.

I had the chicken fingers & dry ribs with caesar salad. My husband had the chicken wings combo.The chicken fingers & ribs were so dry I couldn't eat them. The wings were so dried out it was like eating feathers. Should have complained but didn't. Took the food home & threw it out. Won't be going back there again!!!
