This place was absolutely delicious! we ordered when on a mandatory trip from Calgary to Saskatoon and we were not disappointed. I am Celiac and to be able to find good gluten free smoked bbq at a decent price in Calgary is near to impossible. Would highly recommend. Staff was extremely polite, knowledgeable and informative, and delivery was prompt, good portions as well, we couldn't finish we were so full!

Absolutely the best experience, ever! They catered my husband's birthday party, and all of the guests loved the food. Everything was ready on time, and we picked it up (they loaded our vehicle and gave us extra wipes, plates, napkins, bbq sauce, the works!). We had the pulled pork and bbq chicken, as well as corn bread. The service was wonderful, and the food was spectacular. Our family would recommend Schryer's in a heartbeat. Best BBQ in the city! And a special shout out to Jon, who took great care of us.

I had a large fry with brisket, coleslaw, and fries. Although it was large, it was mostly fries with a small amount of brisket on top. It was also drenched in BBQ sauce and a little overwhelming. The quality of the brisket was very good.

I haven't gone since the moved from 51st but tried the new location for lunch recently. Service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and was packed well to go. My pulled pork sandwich was big and had a decent amount of sauce. The meat tasted good. Overall nothing bad to say.

Got our take out order almost completely wrong (even if we don't consider the thing that had to be altered because they told us when we got there to pick up our take out that they didn't have it). Food was mediocre at best. They said they would give a refund, but that has not happened. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant for the food or service!

Schryer fries are a pretty good deal for their price. I can see them having off days though where their meat is dry or too greasy, but it hasnt happened to me yet. The coleslaw is delicious, best I've ever had from a restaurant with a drive through. Wait time was also not half bad the few times I've gone, again, might depend. Don't go here if you are vegan or vegetarian. Worth supporting this local business.

One of the best places in Saskatoon. And with excellent gluten free options! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free. Fantastic poutines (even the fries are tasty!). They also make the most delicious gluten free buns here, and the pulled pork is out of this world. I have celiac disease and eat here almost weekly and I'm never disappointed. Always brightens my day when I order from here!

I'm a fan of ribs so I ordered the smoked BBQ ribs. It was cold and really the worst ribs I've had I had Saskatoon. There wasn't any flavor and I couldn't even taste the rub that was supposed to be on it. The meat was also very very dry and tough. The corn bread was just as cold and tasteless as the ribs. The only redeeming grace was the fries which were warm, crispy and on point. You really need to step it up for a "BBQ shack".

Rude service coupled with quantity & quality not meeting the pricing. I used to frequent a couple years ago, but due to budgeting restraints, I was unable to visit. Now I can afford to, but will not return due to the terrible service and lack of responsibility as far as matching the pricing with the quality of food served. I would strongly recommend others avoid visiting this restaurant until they take better care of their customers, including losing the terrible service and snarky servers.

I love going here for takeout, very gluten friendly as 98% of the menu is gluten free, as is the dedicated fryer. I believe three sauce options, the cornbread, and the regular buns are the only items with gluten in them. Great for gluten free poutine, classic or topped with their meat options.

Got take out from here this past week. Here’s my experience. Called their phone number at 4pm with a couple questions before hand. Got a voice mail stating they were closed between 3:30 and 4:30. Why? Beats me, but ok. I drive across town and show up at 4:25. Sign on the door says they won’t open until 4:45. Cool. Meanwhile, 3 other vehicles show up, check the door and leave to go find food elsewhere. Seems like a miss in buisness, but I’m not the owner. 4:45pm comes around. Door still locked. 4:55 finally the employee opens the door. I order and notice everything here is premade, from who knows when. Was it made today? Was it made yesterday? Last week? No idea. But ok. I get BBQ is art and I keep hearing good reviews so I get my sample platter and go. Here’s the good, bad and ugly. Good Lots of food. Platter was huge. Sure you pay $75 or so, but in size alone it looks worth it. BBQ Chicken was tasty. Little over cooked but def enjoyed it. Pulled pork was great as well. Perfect amount of smoke and sauce. Bad Corn bread was dry and only smothered in butter was edible. Service, there was a single employee servicing a line of folks waiting on food and waiting to order. Maybe hire more folks to keep food fresh and keep things straight. Ugly Salad was a soggy mess and tasted off. Fries were stale and not even my dog wanted them. Ribs were so tough I felt sorry for the old cow they took them off cause they did him dirty. Overall if this is what $85 gets you, go someplace else.

My daughter insisted I try their food. So, I did and Oh! My Lord! I was impressed! Too just sum it up best I can..... Food was Delicious/Flavourful, Wait time ????????, Customer Service -I think his name was John. His service was a 5 star +! He was so Polite and Courteous. He made me feel like a valued customer. I had ordered Pulled Bbq Chicken Sandwich n Fries/Gravy. Well, he went over and above to satisfy and make my first time there one to want to come back again! I had called back to add the macaroni salad to my order and he then said since being my first time and being highly recommended, he felt he had an obligation and reputation to uphold. He said he was going to just throw in the salad for free. Then!!!! Upon picking up my order... he asked, since this being my first time I most likely haven’t tried their cornbread. Of, he was right I had not. With a big friendly smile he says, “Well enjoy! I put a piece in there as well free of charge!” Sorry for such long review but, I had too in order to get this out there! This is exactly how good business works and will continue to keep them in business (especially in our time of pandemic of the COVID-19). Highly recommend Shryers!!!! ????????????

I'm from edmonton,which is a bbq desert.we tend to get dry rib style bbq...at schryers I was pleasantly surprised with a more memphis style back rib which I really enjoyed.meat was tender,with just the right pull off the bone.sauce was excellent,but needs more heat.service was lightning quik and pleasant.only bad thing was the pop fountain was serving up everything flat...mentioned this to the staff,and it was fixed promptly.definitly going again...trying the chicken next.

My son and I went yesterday. The service was good but that is the only nice thing I could say about it. The brisket I ordered was cold, tough, and had very little flavour. My son ordered the full rack of ribs and for the money you would expect back ribs, not so. Side ribs - cheap and tough. Will not go back . Food quality very poor, and way to pricey.

I came here with my bf to grab take out after work. The pulled pork sandwiches were dry and had no BBQ sauce. My bf had a side of fries and gravy, and I chose the macaroni salad which was literally 2 tablespoons of macaroni mixed with sour milk in the same sized little gravy container. Definitely wasn't worth $45. I used to go to the 51st location when it was good. We won't be back after this experience.

Come on guys $17 with tax for smoked beef on a “wonder bread” bun??? Oh and it includes two tablespoons of smoked beans as your side. I got the coleslaw topping on the side as well and it was another whopping tablespoon worth. I hate feeling like I got taken advantage of, definitely priced way too high for the serving size.....next time I will go to the Keg for a steak, baked potato and vegetables for a couple bucks more and know I am getting a good meal.

Went there with a few friends tonight with a couple of Groupons. We ended up ordering $120 worth of food split between two share platters and a bunch of sides and drinks. I loved their ribs and chicken, they both had a good, smoked flavour to them. The best of which is that I know I can't make that at home since I don't have a smoker nor do I have so much time to make it. The brisket wasn't my cup of tea but then again, I don't usually care for brisket as it tends to be too dry but they provided ample sauces to go with it which made it quite flavourful. The poutine was also quite tasty as it had a slightly fruity taste to it which surprisingly complemented it. I would go back, even at regular price though the Groupon amounts are a great way to sample it before committing to anything.

I recently had lunch at Schryer's Barbeque. I'm from Texas and I think I have a pretty good idea of what good barbeque is. I ordered the double meat brisket sandwich with baked beans. All of it was absolutely delicious. Some of the best brisket that I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, plentiful, and the presentation was impressive. It comes with coleslaw which I prefer on the side instead of on the sandwich. They had me taste the apple butter barbeque and the original barbeque sauces and they both were very good. I also like that the sandwich bun was glazed with butter or similar and added to the flavor of the sandwich. You don't need much barbeque sauce at all on this sandwich to enjoy the flavor. They gave me some homemade cornbread and homemade strawberry preserves to also taste. They were delicious as well. Although the location of this place isn't easy to find due to being in a strip center with limited sign exposure, the friendly and helpful staff make you feel very welcomed. You should go and experience it yourself. Probably the best meal I had during my 11 days in Canada.

The pulled pork sandwich was awesome! Everything was fresh and the portions were good. My only real issue is the caesar salad dressing. It was definitely homemade but the texture was watery and the flavour was milky. It was edible but I thought they had accidentally given me the coleslaw dressing. I was also disappointed to find no beef on the menu.. and for some reason no baked beans either. Overall, I enjoyed my food. I recommend this spot and will 100% visit again.

Some of the worst bbq I’ve had. Ordered the tasters pack and didn’t get any brisket. Delivery guy gave himself $5.00 tip without my permission. Pulled pork was really good but tasted like it was pressure cooked. Short Ribs were chewy and chicken was fine.

This was great BBQ. I was a fan of the original. They then went downhill and closed. I heard in fighting between the owners. In any event this new incarnation is worth the try. Thier wings were awesome and I had the pulled pork sandwich which was awesome. Other people at the table had their brisket and poutine. The only miss was the ribs. The batch we had were dry and overcooked. I am assuming a one off. I recommend trying this place out.

Best BBQ in all of Saskatchewan in my opinion! Jon the owner is a great guy and he always takes care of his customers! I recommend this place to anyone craving BBQ!

Chicken Sandwich was good.....not great, chicken poutine is tasty as well just not exceptional. Price seems high for the amount of food. Staff was very nice and double checked my order which I appreciated.

If you want to wait in line for 15 mins only to be told they don't have ribs.. it's now hapoened the last 4 times I went and after today I'm finally done with that place for good. At the least leave a sign up of all the stuff you either don't sell or ran out of. What a joke

Good bbq, lacking in the salad department but I did go with a group of flesh eating men. Napkins were scarce (even if you ordered ribs) it is counter order and table delivery and the servers weren't really concerned about the customer experience.

If you want the ribs you either have to go early or around 4pm it seems, but redeemed with a 10/10 on the pulled pork sandwich, fries were great.

We just ordered delivery from Schryer's. We had the sampler platter to try a little of everything and needless to say the food and service were both amazing. You can tell they really care about their customers. Will be ordering from here again!
